I bought a 2 quart stainless steel pot with a glass lid 1 day ago. I cooked a hearty chili in it, it cost $ 50 dollars for the ingredients as I was feeding a family of 4. As the chili cooked I suddenly hear a loud pop and when I got back to the kitchen to check the food, I realized the glass lid had shattered and fallen into the chili. So yesterday, I return to walmart from where I purchased the pot, and asked to be reimbursed for the pot, and for my meal that was ruined. They reimbursed me for the pot, and tried offering me a $20 gift card to replace my food. Unacceptable! I should have gotten back the full amount of what I spent for my meal! So I contacted the corporate office for walmart and all they seemed to care about was the comment I made regarding two of their employees not wearing a mask to prevent covid-19. How dare they! My concern was legitimate as I had no way of replacing the food I lost not to mention I put myself at risk even wearing a mask and returning to the store just to be offered only $20 dollars to replace a $50 meal! I have a disabled son and chili is one of his favorite dishes. They do have my encounter on video, I would like to please have someone respond to me via email at: [protected]@gmail.com.
