I went by this location to find better service at locations I frequent.
April 22, 2019 - visited the store - great service and information. 30 minutes.
April 23, 2019 - visited the store - was contemplating between phones and service. Great service.20 minutes.Seemed as though the owner/manger came out to "finalize the purchase". He assured me that service was great in Livingston, TX.
I was going to get a phone from Walmart to check and he said that there are differences in phones. He also ensured that I have 7 days to return if the connection did not work - 40 mintues. I repaid visit on April 24, 2019 and decided to transfer my service from AT&T. Bad news - the service did not work in Livingston, TX where I needed better service.
April 29, 2019, I called this Metro Location, asked them the process of returning the phone and getting my service back with AT&T and getting a refund. The lady on the phone told me that I would have to transfer the phone number back to At&T and then bring in the phone and they would refund everything except for the connection charge. So, I did. I brought the phone - back @$149.99 and the service @$60.00. The lady I encountered said that they could not refund the purchase - mind you this is on the 5th day from the day of purchase - and that was that. I asked her to get the manager on the phone. She was not very happy. I spoke with the manager he said that he could not refund the $60.00 plan because I pinged it back to AT&T. But this was the direction his personnel gave me to do so that I could get a refund. I then said that his store/staff gave me this direction. He became quiet. He is on a phone line at this time. The lady checked the phone and I had a little over an hour out going calls @ 01:00:09 sec of talk time and incoming calls @00:09:27. She became hostile. I asked her for her name. I said that 2 of those phone calls was with Metro and the direction METRO gave me . She looked that up and that totaled approximately 00:3:20. The employee lady with the nose piercing then said we could refund it if it was 58 seconds...this is not good to us now. Okay - so with 3 minutes taken from 01:09:36 talk time minutes with METRO that is 01:06:16 talk time. I expect on this 6th day from purchase a partial refund for the phone and full refund on the p$60.00 plan. She refused to give me her name. I told her that she was "something else." She got raged and highlighted the contract, pointed, and started grabbing other forms on the desk. She would not give me her name. So I can describe her as around 225 lbs/5'4", had a small silver nose piercing, long dark hair, grey long nails with diamond decorations. She said that I did not need to know her name and she was not going to give it to me. After I used a description to identify her, she said that there were many people who work at that location and it would be difficult to identify her. I had had interaction with 3 other people at that location and each time was a pleasant experience. I was writing notes and she handed another form to me insisting that I physically take it from her. I asked her twice to put in on the counter as she insisted that I take it physically. I asked her to place it in the bag and she did so finally after the second time. I told her I was going to make a small claims complain in Santa Fe. She said, "Good luck".
At that moment that employee made a hostile environment in the location. I felt in danger and hostility from that employee in that location - 50 minutes. I took photos a couple of cars outside the building just in case one was hers. Upon reflection of the highlight on the contract it does states, "The device must be returned within 7 days of purchase with less than one hour of talk time or 200MB of data usage for a full refund. As stated here, I will be making a small claims complaint at the Santa Fe Police station this afternoon including partial refund for the phone, $60.00 refund for the plan, and personal injury/endangerment at the location and time spent with his endeavor. Time to write this complaint 1 hour. Time bothering me = 3 hours. More time will be added when I submit formal small claims complaint.
