My grooming appointment was scheduled for 02/17/2022 at 8am. The groomer name was Brandy. She informed me that the groomer that usually grooms my pup was no longer with the company. She looked up my pup's past grooming, and inquired about any changes that she needed to know. I responded that there was no change, continue his past services. I was given the consent form to initial and sign, I said the 79.95 was incorrect due to me purchasing Vital Care, my cost will be 40.00 at the most. Also, I do not want my dog kenneled. She immediately became irrate and rudely took her pen, wrote on the consent form, she has "vital care". She told me my dog would be kenneld if she has to go to the bathroom, assist someone, wait on me to return to pick him up. Her quote to me was "I can give you back your dog" and stormed off to tell Jen that was located in a office by the cash registers she had explained to me just because I paid the $15.00 for express service does not mean your dog can run around loose in the store. At that moment I became very angry, asked her (Brandy) why was she hung up on my statement, "I don't want my dog kenneld". I told her with her rude, disrespectful manner, my dog was not to be touched by her, my dog would not be safe in her care. She said to Jen she was refusing service and returned my dog to me. I asked Jen for the corporate office number so I could file a complaint. She provided me with the complaint number, I sat in my car for a moment, asked myself what just happen? I have no complaints with this location, the groomers were kind, caring, reassured me they would take care of my baby (doodles). I am a disabled 61year old female, with health issues. Mary was the customer service person who took my complaint, she apologized for my experience, that she would forward my complaint through the proper channels. It is alot of things happening in the world today, respect, kindness, loving toward each other is not displayed, only hate, racism, violence to settle issues. After submitting this, my patronage will no longer be at any Petco. I don't feel valued as a customer. I hope Brandy gets reprimanded and removed from her employment. Hope to hear from you corporate. Desired outcome: I would like an apology and for Brandy to be removed from employment. She might pop off at someone who may or may not retaliate with violence. Got to be careful these days.
Petco - reptile neglect
I purchased a bearded dragon from petsmart a few months ago but Petco has more decor options so while I was in there shopping I stopped and looked at the beardies. There was one juvenile dragon in the tank with the larger dragons which are kept on sand substrate. The juveniles should not be because they will eat it and it will cause impaction & death. The baby bearded dragons mouth and head was almost completely covered in sand to the point it couldn't close it's mouth all the way. It wasn't moving whatsoever and barely holding its head up. I am certain that the baby beardie didn't make it longer than two days max after that. Petco should know better. I left the store almost in tears and will not be returning. It was cruel how their reptiles were being kept.
