Popeyes

On the evening of 02/12/2021, I visited Popeyes | #2735 (25 S. Pickett Street, Alexandria VA). A young lady asked for my order, I told her I wanted to use my survey coupon. She sought assistance from VILDEN to ring it up correctly. Per VILDEN asking, I told him I wanted white meat and mild chicken.

VILDEN then said the following: What else do you want? (I responded, That's it.) You're just paying for the drink. (I know.) Well people usually order more (What people usually do is none of my business at this time.) Well, you get all of that for just [the cost of] a drink. (I clearly know how the [survey] coupon works). You can order (I cut him off mid-sentence). I told him loudly:

1. I am not doing anything illegal, immoral or fattening so why am I getting so much mouth from you?

2. I choose to feel that you are berating me over a chicken order because you keep talking to about expanding my order or telling me what other customers do.

3. You will not disrespect me as a paying customer and I am doing nothing wrong.

4. I am old and you should have more respect just because I am a senior.

5. Furthermore, it's Black History Month and you are not going to disrespect me as a Black man over a chicken order.
Aziz, the manager on duty, who is beyond welcoming every single time I visit the store attempted to intervene after the last statement above. However, I was experiencing too many feelings of unrest, including embarrassment, to "hear" him. I did tell Aziz that I was going to report such and the contact information of those who will "hear" me.
