We’ve shopped at this Safeway for years, but the incident I’m about to describe has led to us reconsidering further patronage of the establishment.
As my husband and I were purchasing groceries last weekend, the cashier loudly stated that many of our items were not eligible for EBT. Well, that’s really interesting, I’m sure, madam, but we do not and never have used EBT. She seemed to be implying that we were in some way disreputable. Very undesirable behavior from a customer service standpoint, and particularly ironic since the cashier herself was quite the slovenly harridan and had that just-out-of-drug-rehab look. Very strange.
Desired outcome: Cashiers be provided training in basic politeness, common sense, and respect for others.

On 10/25/19 approx. 7:50 pm during self check out.
I had two packs of cakes and I scanned both. After that I realized I made a mistake. I wanted just one, so I asked the person at the self check out station to cancel one of them. She came and canceled it. Then she realized she canceled wrong one, so she scanned it back, and took the cake with her. After I scanned my last item, I looked at the screen and noticed that I was still charged two cakes, so I called her again. It apparently made her very upset. She came to me, and she breathed a BIG sigh right next to me, then canceled. I said thank you, but she said nothing and left. How rude she was. I didn't do anything wrong. Her behavior is very inappropriate. The most of stations were vacant, so I didn't see she was so very busy. She may had a bad day. HOWEVER, it is not my business. Her attitude toward her customer is not acceptable. She was white female and was wearing her eyeglasses.
It was 10/25/2019 5:50 pm, not 7:50 pm. Just wanted to make it clear so that they know who the employee was.
