Hello there, my name is Erasmo Cortes, and I want to file a complaint. You see I suffer from Hiv, I am not completely sure how it all works out, but I started a new treatment and my insurance is being kinda effy on how I get my medications, I get it, it's a lot to deal with. I called CVS on Thursday midday after contacting my insurance, I explained to them what I needed, the lady over the phone was very sweet. We proceed to go ahead and order my medications. She informed me they would be ready by 6pm that day. I Informed her of my insurance change, she said it didn't make a difference, I think she already had it on file. Now, I wasn't able to pick it up that same day, I still had an extra pill at home so I took that. On Friday though the whole day passed, I made it to the pharmacy at around 6 pm, they informed me that in reality they didn't have my medication, I was a little shocked because I mean I called and tried to ask all these questions to make sure I had it before I ran out. Well they explained to me that they didn't have enough at that store to fill my prescription, so they tried to help me by calling other stores nearby, there wasn't any or isn't any nearby, on any of the participating pharmacy's, all of this could've been avoided, if they would have cheeked how my insurance works, apparently my insurance only will pay for it for a 3 month supply at a time. It doesn't do smaller batches, it is kinda expensive it's almost 3450.00 dollars worth, but then they said they could help me by getting a partial fill, just so I can have some medication until I can get the rest of it, but he asked me if I needed or needed it? It kinda took me by shock? Do I need it, yes! Do I need it, need it, yes. It's not an optional drug, I need it to live. I have HIV, I didn't know how to explain this to them, but at this point they were almost closed, they couldn't help. I couldn't call my doctor because they were closed. I couldn't call the hospital pharmacy because they were also closed. And now I'm snowed in, with no medications until tuesday. my mind is just bothered by all of this. There are people that really need their medications. I work a lot to get my insurance and pay for my medications, trust me I've had those thoughts where I can live without taking it, and just die slowly. It just makes it hard to live when you finally decide to do so, and everything is against you. After this refill. I'm Considering taking the rest of them elsewhere, where they might care a little more about my well being.
