We purchased the warranty as a backup since they stated it could be used towards new furniture if we didn't use it. We ended up needing it for both our dining table and leather sectional. Started the claim on both.
Dining table: The surface is terrible about showing marks (not even scratches) and it needed to be redone. Not covered we were told.
Leather Sectional: Has a small scratch and the USB ports no longer work. They stated the USB ports were covered but, not the scratch, even though accidental scratches are specifically covered in the warranty, per the warranty booklet.
I requested to have the entire amount refunded from Corporate Office and Olivia stated with a very HR approach "I'm sorry but, any resolution you need will be between you and the warranty company" even though I told her that the Salesman lied to us when I asked him if scratched would be covered, and he said yes.
She said the only thing I could do it write (yes, handwrite) a letter to the warranty company for a prorated refund, which at this point would only be about 1/3 of what I paid. Not good enough.
I have always had pretty good experiences with VCF up until this point. I have bought a lot of furniture from them over the years. That ends today. Never again, unless I am refunded the full amount of what I paid.
Claimed loss: 6 months of back and forth with the warranty company.
Desired outcome: Full refund of the warranty purchase.
