Valve's Steam is very poor. Playing games have many bugs and problems.
The problem is that there is literally no way to get in touch with them once there is a problem. There are NO WAY to resolve billing or technical issues.
There are many people upset about this issue. Simply google "Steam Support" and you see many post by many many people.
There is no phone number or AOL. There is simply a form to fill out. I have filled out 4 questions, both techical and billing and I have not heard back from them.
Not being able to discuss or argue billing issue is immoral and probably illegal.
Do not download games from Steam.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Cit bank c/o bill me later, inc is a scam. I need to know what this reference number [protected]-[protected] is. My dad Frank Simon got a letter dated 1/18/2010 saying "this letter is in response to your recent request to open a new egg preferred account. Frank is 88 years old and don't beleive in a credit card due to the scam that is going on in this world. So what gives or I will have to resort to other legal action on this.
thanks

Steam has NO technical support. Email support only and it can literally take weeks (yes, weeks...) to get a reply. I think Valve is a very innovative company and seems like a smart company as well, but its Steam branch needs lots of work. One great idea - a toll free support line! How radical is that? You folks at Valve/Steam are making a bundle of cash, I'm sure you can afford to cut into the greed fund and put out a little dough for a support line. That is how real business is done.
I totally agree man i had y seven dig for a while prolly like 7 years at least.. whenever it was firsst 7 digits went quick and ppl always get hyped bout such low digits lol but now its 8 and at 3045 or something i donno because actually my account just got hacked someone changed the password on me and beecause its so old i dont know the email i used or at leasts im not so positive, its been so long. So i was hoping i could talk to someone about this and it seems damn near impossible.
its was a mid-high 7 dig and i miss it. it was perfectly clean cal exp and thats it. never hacked once I cant stand people who do. GET GOOD.
Plz if anyone has any helpful suggestions I'd be most appreciative.

i am having this problem that i cant get into my account on steam...most of my games in there are as a matter of fact steam-bought games...what am i to do with them?are they lost forever? it seems like the profile has never even excisted!if someone could find in their hearts(or in valve`s harddrive for that matter) help me to get me my account back...anything from tips to team viewer would be helpfull!
i am quite worried someone have hacked my account and litterarly stolen all of my games! i need someone to help me!show me that there are good computer experts in this damn world!
thx in advance!^^
That site truly is a headache and they do jerk the people around A LOT.
One day I could not log into my account and was told I had no account with them etc.
Took me two weeks of going back and forth with them to get my account back and never got an answer to why the account was lost in the first place.
If this happens again I will turn the problem to the general consumer complaint form, address below.
https://fortress.wa.gov/atg/formhandler/ago/ComplaintForm.aspx
If enough people report them they will have to answer for the mistreatment to the players.
I just purchased Civilization 5 and when I tried to download it, I receive a fatal error and can't proceed any further. Searching through the Steam website, I see that this fatal error is not uncommon. I also see multiple solutions, but none work for me. I have also lost access to games that at one time worked just fine. I have seen them blame Microsoft for the issue multiple times. I filed a complaint with Steam Support and I only get an automated response saying they received my message. Then I start searching the Internet and find out that this is not uncommon for this company. This is horrible and I will be filing a complaint with has many places that will listen and maybe even the BBB.
Looking over my recent bank statement, which was $333.00 overdrawn, I noticed about 15 transactions to Valve. As well as 10 overdraft fees of $32.50, each. Totaling $623.00. I never heard of valve, and have no idea who got ahold of my debit card number.
I'm sorry, but I survive on $710.00 dollars a month SSI. I'm caring for a critically sick boyfriend, in desperate need of a liver transplant. Please investigate this as soon as possible.
As not to sound like someone on the pitty pot, we did a medical documentary directed by academy award winning Cynthia Wade. The film is online at hesback.com, and we are the Oklahoma family. Please help us, because we just barely survive as it is, and I have no clue who got my number.
Thank you so much Sandy Sellers [protected]
i just purchased skyrim on my mac know it says this game is unavable on your platform witch made me so mad for speading 10 dollars i have seached the whole internet and i found nothing
I purchased a game on sale at Steam. It failed to download but my account was charged. There is no way to reload the download and this company has NO available support. The support site merely sits there and does NOTHING. As noted by many others, this is a fraudulent site that has no customer support and loves screwing customers out of their money.
I have a 2 games I have barely played, one is 2 hours 5 minutes and they refused my refund request, I made a ticket for support no answer for days.So if you wanna try a new game or a new app don't buy on steam because if you don't like it you won't get a refund.Their policy is abusive. There are much better web pages you can shop for games and most likely with better customer service / refund policy.
