My final order never arrived, although my account was debited, and now the website has been deactivated. It's a shame, I was a loyal and satisfied customer for years. Now I'm out $85 with nothing to show for it.

This is a great company. I have bought from them for several years. It does appear that they might be going out of business. In that case I will truly miss this wonderful company. They have quality products and great customer service. ? They get 5 hearts! I love them!

Sent an order over 2 weeks ago, and received an initial order confirmation from them, with a warning that the order may take longer to ship at this time. Checked my account info online, it says the order is not "picked" or packed yet. Tried to log into their website, and the connection is refused. Their *** page taken down also. It looks like there is some problem going on, like maybe going out of business? I wouldn't try to send an order to them. Too many bad reports since at least January last year. There is some funny business going on.

The item I purchased for a Christmas present arrived broken. They are not answering the phone or returning e-mails. They now posted all sales final as of October. When I ordered it in November they did not have posted all sales final. They recently put that on their website. Now I am stuck with a pricey broken item!

The only Thing Ive received is email that my order was placed and told I would receive tracking information once shipped. When I go on their website and put in order number its saying order number not found. This was a gift for a dear friend and I am really up. If anyone is suing this company I will be joining. Do not buy from them! They are no longer honoring returns or refunds. They have not updated their website. It still says even today that they have a guarantee of satisfaction for refund or exchange but tiny print elsewhere also says ALL SALES ARE FINAL. So Im stuck with their junk? I dont think so. They will lose lots of customers and if anyone is suing them I want to join the lawsuit to get my items returned and money refunded. Im contacting my credit card to dispute and cancel the transaction payment.
I have always loved this company
I have always loved this company. Have been buying from them for years. I am sad to see what has happened lately to them. They are definitely going out of business I believe. I ordered items back around Halloween and had no problem. Wanted to buy for the Christmas sale but it was a couple days after and saw that no more orders were being taken. Since then I can not find their website. I will always think of them fondly and will miss buying really nice products from them in the future. Thank you.

We've been regular customers, especially at holidays, since the ***s. .Some Items had to be returned over the years but we received our refunds promptly. But over the past few days, their website has disappeared and their phones have been disconnected. There was no warning about going out of business--we just ordered a pair of gloves, received on time, for Christmas. But now VCT seems to have vanished. I Googled for any news of the company's closing, but found nothing. Does anyone know what happened?

Ordered twice recently
Ordered twice recently. First time they sent wrong items. Sent some off my Wishlist I had started and not what I actually ordered. Finally just had them send the ones they messed up on and kept the 3 items they sent that I DIDN'T order. Now, I ordered 3 clothing items. All were about 3 sizes too small. One item was from India. Item smelled and bad workmanship. I return all Priority mail and they were pristine, in original packaging, all tags. They have not refunded the charges to my credit card. They've had them for over 2 weeks. Tried emailing...they said they'd respond in 48 hrs. That was 8 days ago. Tried calling twice waiting over 15 min each time...finally it said extension mailbox is full, won't take message and hung up on me. I have contacted my credit card to dispute charges. I would NOT order from them again.

I have been a Victorian Trading Co. customer for at least 15 years and have always been satisfied with this Company. I realized lately that I had not heard from them lately, and that sent me a red flag. I had ordered many things before Christmas and had received everything... even took care of a return purchase. I called all the numbers to find out why I haven't been receiving any ads but all numbers were discontinued...the website is down. It is like this wonderful Company just vanished from the face of the earth. It is all very sad. I really do hope that it resurrects and gets the help it needs to continue. It had a great appeal to all us many romantics out there. I give it four stars as I was lucky and received all my items before the shut down and am very satisfied... I am sorry that it shut down... and if it started up again I would be a happy customer. I am very sad that so many people were not as fortunate as I was. I only wish I had ordered even more items before the company closed. I hope they let former customer know if there is a huge closing sale!

On 11/29/2022 I ordered 3 items with a total of $19.27. I never received the orders. I reached out to the company on 12/17/2022 through their website and I received an automated email back saying that a ticket has been created and someone would get back with me in typically less than 72 hours. No one got back with me. I go to the website to try and contact the company and the entire website is gone. I want a refund since these were Christmas items that I no longer need.

I placed an online order on Dec. 3, 2022. I received an order number and was told I would receive tracking information as soon as the order was shipped. The order number is ***. Purchases were made to this company on 11/8 and 11/9. 11/8 purchase was in the amount of $48.75 and 11/9 $54.20. these two purchases were never opened and "returned to sender" right after they were rec'd. I contacted their cust serv dept via email on 12/22 and they indicated a ticket was created and someone would contact me within 72 hrs. I am requesting a reimbursement of $102.95. It seems that Victorian Trading Co is now out of business for good. No notice was given for this. On Dec 22/2022, I made an order (#***). The last time I was able access the site the order said it was shipped out but no tracking number was given. The order amount was for $62.96. As of today I haven't received anything and have no way of finding anything. Could you please help in any way? What should I do about this? Thank you for any help or info about this. My mother passed away last year
My mother passed away last year. I inherited her home. I stopped all catalogs addressed to my mom coming to the address where she lived and now where I reside. The only catalog that keeps coming nonstop is this one, Victorian Trading Co. I have called dozens of times requesting that they stop. I went to their *** page and complained. There on *** someone from the company answered my post and reassured me he would take care of the problem. That was months ago and the catalogs still come. I registered on ***, a company that helps stop catalogs, and yet they still come even when I reregister the catalog over and over. This is invasive and a waste of my time to deal with. No matter what I've tried this stupid company will not honor my wishes to have them STOP sending catalogs to my (and my deceased mother's) address

The company did not provide me a shipping alert nor a tracking number. It apparently is being sent to the wrong address as well. But the 800 number, two of the employees at the call center told me giving me tracking number is not possible. That seems very strange. It will be sent to the wrong address too.

I was refunded: $69.14 when it should have been 89.85 77.80 when it should have been 79.95 85.76 when it should have been 99.95 We're talking a difference of $37.05 that they have not refunded back to my card. After repeated attempts to contact them regarding this issue, I have not received a response from them. I returned the items. I expect the full refund.

One of the items was four music boxes, each priced at $14.95, and the other return was four metal cardinal figurines. I have been contacting Victoria Trading for a refund, to no avail.
I purchased a dress and a ring from them through ebay. The ring was nice, but the dress was not the same color shown in the photos. I asked for a return and they provided a label. I sent it back. The tracking shows that it was out for delivery on Sept 6, but never scanned at their door. So it was either delivered and they stole it, or it is lost in transit. I have purchased many items for my home over the years from Victorian Trading Company. All have been of exceptional quality, however, this pillow was not. I immediately noticed how flat it was and most bothersome was that the fabric was irregular all around the edges. It was bright white which looks terrible since the pillow is a beautiful dark green color. I returned the item and was going to buy her and Alice in Wonderland bracelet, however when they refunded me for the pillow, they withheld the shipping charges. What kind of company keeps shipping charges when a customer returns a DEFECTIVE item? This is very disappointing from a company that I thought was very reputable. The company owes me $14 shipping charges.

In May I purchased three statues from this company for an *** bridal shower. I recently put the statues outside. I discovered that one of them was broken; although it doesn't appear to have fallen over. There was a crack in the face and there are pieces inside. If I could have retrieved the pieces I would have just glued it back together. The statue is very thin. There were no warnings about not placing the item outside. I contacted customer service and all they said they would do was provide me with free shipping for a replacement. They didn't even offer to see the picture of the broken item. The statue was quite expensive.

An order was placed with this business on 5/21 and I have not received the order. I have attempted to get information on the status of my order however I have not been able to speak with anyone in customer service about the current order however it is very easy to speak with someone if you wish to place an order. The sales agent that I spoke with on 7/15 and on 7/16 stated that he was in the Philippines. He stated that he would "escalate" the order inquiry and that someone would contact me within 24 hrs but no one contacted me. I have been unable to access the customer login portal. Another representative emailed back in June but she has not contacted me since then. The sales agent whom I mentioned earlier gave me two false names and a fake agent i.d. number and he was stuttering when I asked for that information. I feel that this is a scam and not a legit business. The ordered was processed and the money was taken out of my account.

I placed on order online last week. When I put in the order number to get tracking info, it did not show a record of the purchase even though the funds had left my account. I have been trying for a week to get someone from this company to help me. A week later and there is still no record of the order number. Their phone system will not allow you to get through to anyone. No matter what selection you make, it says it's an invalid selection. If you try to select 0, you are disconnected. I have emailed and received no reply. I posted on their *** a little while ago and have not had a response. They list themselves as having an A rating with the Complaintsboard.com but when I searched, they were actually listed as having an F rating with many complaints. I am seeking a refund through *** as I now have serious doubts I will receive my item in a timely fashion but I don't think they should be allowed to deceive people. One of the reasons I went with them over *** was that they had the Complaintsboard.com claim. I should have checked it out ahead of time.

I'm owed $106.23 for 2 returned Planter's, which they have. The card I purchased these on was hacked. VTC has received 2 Faxes from my Bank instructing them "how" to process my refund AND verifying to them I DO NOT have the refund, because of "how" they are processing it. Here is how my Bank put it in the FAX " Please run as a Return COMPLETION instead of a Return PREAUTHORIZATION like originally submitted. Attaching Proof that it was ran incorrectly to receive credit". I've spoken to *** in Finance at VTC (Ext105) about this 2 times. The 2nd time I think was Fri Aug 27th. I went over all this again, and was under the impression I was being sent a check. Sept 7th I sent VTC an e-mail about my refund - received no reply. I tried *** number & got an answering machine, I left a message and heard nothing back. This is plain theft. My Bank suggested the Complaintsboard.com & Federal Trade Commission. I want my $106.23 that is over due. I've been a customer here at VTC between 25-26 years and cannot believe this experience. These Planter's were sent back in July!

I returned three items
I returned three items. One item was not the color as portrayed in the catalog or online, the other two items were defective. I called within two weeks of returning the items to make sure they had received them because I was aware of the incompetence in the Returns Department. I gave customer service my *** tracking number and was told they had received it but it had not been processed. I gave her the item numbers that had been returned and the reason why they were returned. I returned everything very efficiently and in order, in the packaging it had arrived and with the complete Return Form filled out accurately. A month later, still no refund. I called and *** answered. I was told that the Return Department does not process Returns until the pallet is full of Returns. UNBELEIVABLE! I called a third time, *** answered and again she said she would look into. I called a fourth time, *** answered, and she said she would look into. Needless to say, I never received my refund of $89.85 plus. It does give me great pleasure though that I at least filed a complaint against this extremely INCOMPETENT, UNPROFESSIONAL, and CORRUPT COMPANY.

This is clearly false advertisement and I would not have placed an order had this not been present. Additionally, they advertise on their website as valuing customer care, but my experience clearly demonstrates this business is unresponsive and dishonest. I placed an order totaling $111.14 on 7/27 before operating hours. I completed two online customer service forms, but they fail to be delivered. I called customer service at 7 am 7/27 to cancel the order, but they do not answer. I called again and selected the "I would like to place an order" option and they answered (it is the only option I have found to successfully make contact with them regarding anything). The woman stated customer service opens at 7 am Central time and gave the alternative customer service number, which reaches the same automated response as the first. I called again at 7 am Central time and they did not answer; I left a message asking for a call back with my number and order number. Given their false representation of Complaintsboard.com Accreditation and score, I am seeking the cancellation of my order, which at this time is still pending.

Purchased 2 items Oct.7,2020. One item from set of 2 was broken. Not packed with enough cushion or they knew and sent it anyway. Outside box and box inside had no outer damage. Arrived Oct.16. Emailed company for return info on 10/16. Again on 10/19, a call on 10/20 waited on hold for 15 minutes and I was two away from being spoken two and they dropped the call. .No one could be reached either by phone or email. I packaged the set with one broken, looked for a return ship label, found none. Took it to my post office on 10/20 paid them $13.05 to return, put note inside I did not want a replacement and to credit my account. When I got back there was en email saying they had shipped a new set at which time they were told I did not want them. When the new set arrived I called them and was told I could return to sender or I could pay for return shipping. If I used return to sender it would take longer to get my refund. They said to use the return label inside box and they would charge me when they received it back. This box had the return label that the first did not. They have not returned the purchase price of 34.95, nor shipping costs totaling so far $24.00 and they are still going to charge for the final return. The one item I kept from the original order was 19.99. So I am out the original $34.95 plus at least $24.00 shipping. I made this purchase in good faith and they have broken my trust. I did not cause any of this so would not expect to have all monies credited to me but to not have anything at all as of today is not right.

Order from March not yet refunded
Order from March , with an amount of $49.95 plus $10.95 shipping charged to my debit card. I purchased a Mood Ring, size 9. The ring wasn't received until after contacting Customer Service in mid-April , where I was informed it had been dispatched 9 days post-order. Despite my card being charged, the order hadn't arrived. Customer Service failed to follow up as promised. The ring finally arrived late April and initially met my expectations. However, it became defective within a month. I requested an exchange and returned the defective ring on August 24th. A replacement never arrived, and upon inquiry in October, I learned the ring was discontinued. I requested a refund, which a representative assured would be expedited. Despite assurances, the refund didn't appear in my account. In November, I spoke with a representative who claimed the refund was issued on October 6th to my old debit card, which had been replaced due to unauthorized charges from another company. This oversight by the representatives led to further delays. I am still awaiting my refund.

I loved this catalog. It was my favorite mail order. I love to sit with a cup of tea and flip through the pages. I wish they would return to mail order. So sad.

Ordered the stained glass spider web, poorly made and not only that the back is painted black so no light can filter through it. :(Not only that after I paid for my purchase it was probably 5 or 6weeks, and I get a notice from paypal that they got 4 more dollars for shipping. WHAT? How was that even possible. I never got a response from an email I sent to them regarding this matter. ugh Beware, and stay away!
Unlike many reviewers here, we never had a problem with Victorian Trading. We've been regular customers, especially at holidays, since the ***s. .Some Items had to be returned over the years but we received our refunds promptly. But over the past few days, their website has disappeared and their phones have been disconnected. There was no warning about going out of business--we just ordered a pair of gloves, received on time, for Christmas. But now VCT seems to have vanished. I Googled for any news of the company's closing, but found nothing. Does anyone know what happened?
I have always loved this company. Have been buying from them for years. I am sad to see what has happened lately to them. They are definitely going out of business I believe. I ordered items back around Halloween and had no problem. Wanted to buy for the Christmas sale but it was a couple days after and saw that no more orders were being taken. Since then I can not find their website. I will always think of them fondly and will miss buying really nice products from them in the future. Thank you.
I have been a Victorian Trading Co. customer for at least 15 years and have always been satisfied with this Company. I realized lately that I had not heard from them lately, and that sent me a red flag. I had ordered many things before Christmas and had received everything... even took care of a return purchase. I called all the numbers to find out why I haven't been receiving any ads but all numbers were discontinued...the website is down. It is like this wonderful Company just vanished from the face of the earth. It is all very sad. I really do hope that it resurrects and gets the help it needs to continue. It had a great appeal to all us many romantics out there. I give it four stars as I was lucky and received all my items before the shut down and am very satisfied... I am sorry that it shut down... and if it started up again I would be a happy customer. I am very sad that so many people were not as fortunate as I was. I only wish I had ordered even more items before the company closed. I hope they let former customer know if there is a huge closing sale!
