Cannot afford the service
Viking service refusing to let me cancel service. I called to let them know my account was being overdrawn by them along with other creditors. I could not afford them. The recorded tape they played to me showed I had agreed to the service but I did not hear the complete recording of the part they stated something about free for 6 months and something about $2.99 for services. I am reading about them drawing a client in and not letting you cancel. I cannot afford their services and have to cancel.

The lowest scum on earth at your fingers aka viking magazine.. Financially locking people into contracts and offering only the best (no cancellation fee/buyout option) also stating that you're in a 5 year contract... Haha lmao just to let all the victims know that this is the only company in all of united states that has no cancellation fee or buyout option...

I signed up for 1 magazine subscription and now they added a second magazine order without my authorization! When I called to "cancel" they were very aggressive, and said that people can never cancel after 14 days.
1) I was never told verbally about this policy;
2) I never received a letter stating this policy;
3) customers should always be able to cancel. Anything otherwise is hostage!
I will be reporting them to:
Bbb
Ftc and;
Attorney general
What an unscrupulous way to do business!
Stay away!
scam
The exact same thing with me. They won't stop harassing me. Very rude staff, laughed when the lady forgot the name of the service. They charged my account without permission, started sending magazines I would never read like tabloids, then they started sending these sleazy magazines to my mother's address which I never provided. I did cancel the account associated with it however they will not leave me alone and are threatening me, my new account and I do not know what to do.
all
I was charged 49.90 since for magazines I did not order. A man named Tony I have spoke with 2x and a woman named Kim have told me that I should have got a refund because they never charged my acct. Lie bc my bank shows the charge and says I need to do a 3way call but these ppl are so rude and keep hanging up so I had to cxl my card and order a new one so that cant do this anymore. The customer service for this company is beyond horrible.
all magazines
you guys have called me several times I no longer want your magazines none of them I want to unsubscribe I've told you guys this several several times and it still ain't taking off my credit card bill I want it taken off and I want my $55 put back into my account as soon as possible I no longer want this stuff for the last time I'm not wanting your magazines anymore so take them all off and put my money in my account please
magazines
I am currently unemployed and can not afford to make these payments but they will not let me cancel. Normal subscription services will allow you to cancel at any time. This is nothing but a SCAM! They will continue to call and harass you and TELL you to go get your card and stop running from your responsibilities! And that I am a typical debtor refusing to pay their bills!
Cancellation
Ummm... I've been calling for weeks and no one has returned my calls. I neeeeed to cancel my subscription now! I'm not able to keep making these payments and I have not received one magazine! Been waiting ro ralk to a csr but that was a no go! I'm highly pissed and not at all satisfied by any means. I don't need this subscription... Hell, I didn't even get the gift cards! Yo, i'm over it... Please just refund me my money out cancel my subscription now! Poor customer service... No one should have to go through all of this just to cancel a damn subscription when clearly they're telling you that they cannot afford it!
unauthorized credit card charges
I have called this company to correct my order because I needed to cancel my subscription. I have spoken to 4 different operators and have been told 4 different things. I called on 11/27/2017 and was informed that my account was paid in full. However, upon checking my bank account today, I was charged another $49.90 on 12/05/2017. I called again and was told that they never received a call from me about cancellation. I deserve my money back. This company is keeping my account in the negatives and ruining my credit. They are rude on the phone and were dishonest in charging me for something I already paid for. I know from reading the forum on their site that I am not the only one. Something needs to be done about companies who take advantage of people. Instead of being upfront, they lie and steal people's money. If they were honest, they would generate more business through word of mouth alone. I am beyond upset!
Dealt with them many years ago! Don’t get involved with this company! If they won’t cancel your subscription, contact your crefit card company and have them refuse payment . The same can be done with your bank account. And don’t take anymore calls from them!
harassing phone calls, service, delivery
Viking magazine contacted me about a $250.00 promotion. That was agreed to. Months later magazines are not coming but payment was being deducted. One excuse after another. Finally, magazines Start to arrive. Payment card expired, received calls, during call to provide new payment information they created a second account. Recorded call is chopped and I never agreed to second account. They have refused since day one to cancel. This is fraud. Harrassment. I am no longer with the man or the company that wanted the promotion and magazines. Help, please.
their refusal to cancel order
I signed up over the phone and they took the first payment. Still no magazines and they won't let me cancel the subscription. I live on a limited budget which has been reduced even more now that I am on medicare. They say they cannot cancel the order. I don't want the payment back, I just want to cancel. I contacted the company on Friday August 11, 2017.
I have not received my magazines yet nor my gift card
I need for someone to get ahold of me ASAP i am trying to call all these numbers that you have here on your website and none of them are getting me through with anyone i like to know what is going on here because you guys got my money 2 weeks ago and i have not hared anything at this point so if you could be so kind to as contact me at [protected] thank you
I have not received one magazine or the so called gift card. I made a complaint with a guy name Jason and was told they will not charge me for December due to my inconvenience of not receiving anything and just give it time well i still didnt recieve anything and they just took my money again im very angry and want my money back prople dont have it to be just giving away if that was the case i would have gave it to help the someone who beeds it
They don't let me cancel
I don t understand why they will not me cancel the orders they claim that they have me processed for an entire 859 when I clearly stated that if I wanted to cancel I would be able to. Now they are telling that I need to pay all of the amount of they will send me to collection. This is a bad service. Moreover the gift cards are not even worth it.
Business conduct
This is a true bait and switch strong arm sales ploy. Everyone beware, you will be scammed! I have reported them to the ftc. They took advantage of a elderly person on social security with limited means and capacity. These people are the lowest of the low, all I can say is put them out of business.
Cancellation policy
Several months ago I was calling Verizon, a man comes on offering a $250. gift certificate if I listened to his magazine offer so I did, he said the magazines were free and named them off and said I could pick 6 other magazines of my choice so I picked 6 and then he ask for my information and gave it to him he also needed my bank card, he said they needed it for verification. Then I was transfered to another person verifying everything and added that I was receiving all of the magazines and they would collect $49 a month for 2 years, I said I thought they were free, well you are receiving free magazines but you have to pay for the six you ordered and that will be $49 a month for 2 years and thank you for your order . I never did receive the $250. Gift certificate and after adding up what the free magazines were going to cost, a mere $1000. I tried to cancel and was told very rudely that I owed $859 and if not payed would be turned over to a collection agency ! I can not see very well so all I can do is look at the pictures ! I support eight people I really can't afford to frivolously spend the $49 a month which was another reason I didn't want to continue receiving the magazines! Viking magazine company sales people are more than deceitful they are plain liars !
So true the same just happened to me and I really wished that I did not subscribe to this crap. This is a mess
SCAM - Won't let me cancel!
I was signed up for this frivolous service somehow back in December and have tried on two occasions to cancel but "voice was recorded as having agreed to the monthly charges and have 14 days after the first payment to cancel".
###! I would like to hear that conversation for myself.
The rep said she would "work" with me on the payments but all that means is she will halve the payments to extend my account payoff to twice as long. I'm receiving NINE magazines that I didn't even sign up for.
How can I get out of these payments without going to collections? This is a scam and I'm fuming.
Hi I also got caught in the same scam since February I been trying to cancel and the rep said I can't and I told them I don't have the money to pay them they said well that's too bad u have to stay with them I'm getting magazines that I never asked for and I can't get them to stop can someone help me out with this please
I am trying to cancel the order and they keep giving other scam companies my credit card info and I am getting charged for things I did not order.
Viking Magazine is giving my banking info and false permissions to other companies to charge my card for magazines I never ordered or recieved. I tried to cancel the only order I made. Viking Magazines told me it would only cost me 3.49/month for the only order I agreed to. Then they charged me $49.00/month for it. So I am trying to cancel and so far I have recieved no magazines whatsoever anyway. Like I said, they gave my bank card info to other companies who are charging me $41.00 2 times in same month.
