Good day,

I hope this email finds you well,

On the 7th of October I received an sms and email from Hammond Pole attorneys with regards to a Vodacom account that was in arrears. Because I had no Vodacom account in my name, I dismissed these communications.

I received more emails later that weekend, and then decided to phone the attorneys. They were very rude and refused to share the ID number this account was linked to. They would also not provide the cellphone number in question.

I then phoned Vodacom, and since there was no account in my name, they could not assist me. I went to Vodacom in Clearwater mall. They checked the system, and there was no open account in my name and no sign of any account in arrears.

I phoned the attorneys and they said I should send them the print outs. I did not wish to do so, because they could still not even provide a cell phone number linked to this arrears account. I asked them for a signed contract, which I still have not received to date.

No they are threatening me with a bad credit record if I do not give them an affidavit.

The reference number is HP868590

I am not willing to share my personal details with this company as I am not sure if this might be a scam.

Please assist me in this matter.

Desired outcome: I want details on this account - who signed for it and how was my details handed to them
