Volkswagen of Lee's Summit I wouldn't recommend Volkswagen of Lee's Summit to anyone

I wouldn't recommend Volkswagen of Lee's Summit to anyone. They have some shady business practices. They didn't stick to the TrueCar price we agreed upon and tried to sneak in a bunch of extra fees. I wasted 5 hours driving there only for them to change the price on me when I arrived. This kind of behavior is why people have a negative view of car dealerships. I'll be going to a Hyundai dealership instead.

Volkswagen of Lee's Summit Horrible place to do business

Horrible place to do business. Very shady, unprofessional practices. They had me waiting almost three weeks to purchase a *** that someone else was still driving. Because she was waiting on her vehicle to arrive. And got me financed for it, and had to get insurance on it. And someone else still had it. The sales person that was helping me, never returned phone calls. When he did respond it was in a text. And he still has his job. The men there takes up for one another. You can't trust anyone, I had a horrible experience. I wouldn't advice anyone to do business. Then I had to ask for a loaner to drive. They should had offered that at the beginning until the car comes available. The loaner tire on right side went flat. Brought it back, they gave me another loaner. Those tires needed air also, they just don't care about the customers. It's all about the dollar bill. The men are very fake running things. They do mot deserve a star. They never offered to reimburse me for the insurance I paid on it. I went to another dealer and got the *** I wanted. And this place was way more professional and caring.

Volkswagen of Lee's Summit This place is a terrible place to get a vehicle, they will try and get you the highest price they can get out of you and get the highest

This place is a terrible place to get a vehicle, they will try and get you the highest price they can get out of you and get the highest interest rate as well. VW has done this not only to myself but to one of my good friends. They call and harrass you daily just to get you into a vehicle. My friend and i were behind and we thought we were getting caught up and payments just got higher and higher . Well turns out the interest was *** us over and the payments were not really getting caught up. Would never recommend anyone get a vehicle from them , they also do not allow you to trade your vehicle in to anyone else but volkswagen and want the most money on a down payment if theyll even think about letting you do anything trade wise to another place. It gets better if you go to them and try to see if they themselves at the lot will do anything to see if this is true well its very much true they lied through there teeth on every aspect. You take it to them now they want a co signer . This place IS COMPLETE TRASH if i could give it no stars i would .When i was told about this place after i had already got my vehicle i was terribly sad , wish i would have known how horrible these people are before buying a car that was not worth it at all .

Volkswagen of Lee's Summit I think this dealership is very shady and deceptive, and I wouldn't recommend buying a used car from them

I think this dealership is very shady and deceptive, and I wouldn't recommend buying a used car from them. I purchased a car seven months ago and have done numerous major repairs. I'm just glad I purchased an extended warranty because I recently found out it's had 5 owners, and the car is a 2017 with no warranty work and maintenance ever done on it. I feel they knew this car was going to have major problems and just wanted to get it off their hands so they wouldn't have to deal with it or repair anything before they sold it. I also feel they were deceptive in the whole sale process. The first week, I told them I wanted them to take back the car because the clutch in the transmission was bad, and they not only wouldn't take it back, but every time I brought it in, they would tell me they didn't hear any grinding and that they weren't finding any codes. The transmission won't throw a code for a clutch, and when I told the woman in service that, she hung up on me. Then I called the lender to cancel the contract, and I was told they loaned me the money, not Volkswagen of Lee's Summit, and the only thing I could do was to self-surrender the car, and it would go against my credit. And I'm paying a lot of money with over a hundred thousand miles on it, and it's only worth a fraction of the blue book value. I also told the service department that I didn't trust them, and they refused to work on my car after that and told me to take it somewhere else. Real professional attitude, huh?

Volkswagen of Lee's Summit I went to Volkswagen of Lee's Summit on 3/13 to get a new key programmed for my car because both originals broke

I went to Volkswagen of Lee's Summit on 3/13 to get a new key programmed for my car because both originals broke. The service took about an hour, and they cleaned my car afterward. Everything was great until I checked the glove box a mile down the road to make sure all my stuff was still there. I was planning to go straight to the bank to deposit some cash I got from a sale the night before. I counted the money more than 10 times, searched my car and house, but couldn't find it anywhere. $1000 went missing from the glove box while my car was at Volkswagen of Lee's Summit. There's no other explanation. It was a really dumb decision on my part to leave that much cash in my car while it was being serviced, but I didn't think someone would be bold enough to take it from a customer at their workplace. Lesson learned. When I went back to explain the situation, the management did a great job. They searched the employees, their lockers, and their stuff. But let's be real, no one wants to get caught and lose their job over something like this. The cash could be hidden in a thousand different places and never seen again. I agreed with the manager to file a complaint with the local police, but when I met with them later, I was even more disappointed. The police didn't make any effort to track down the money. I'm more satisfied with the management at Volkswagen than with the Lee's Summit police department. I guess it's my mistake, but if you plan on getting your car serviced at this dealership, make sure to take out anything that's important to you. Other than that, the management provided A+ service. I can't say the same for at least one employee who currently works there. I hope you needed the money more than I did.

Volkswagen of Lee's Summit I really wanted to give a solid 5-star review, but I gotta be honest, I was let down

I really wanted to give a solid 5-star review, but I gotta be honest, I was let down. I bought my car on 9/15/22 and had to wait a whole month for delivery. They didn't even tell me about the need for a new convertible top until 2 weeks after the purchase. The communication to fix this issue was just awful. They kept giving me false dates for when it would be ready, and when I reached out for help, they didn't respond much. And when I did talk to someone, they just passed the blame to someone else who wasn't helpful at all. They had to replace the convertible top, but they ordered and installed the wrong one. They only found out when they went to wash it and saw a leak in the back seat. So, more time passed to fix that.

When I bought the car, they promised me a FULL tank of gas at delivery. But guess what? I only had a quarter tank. :( The new top looked nice, but the salesman didn't even know how to operate it. He had to get another salesman to figure it out. It's like they don't communicate with each other over there. On the day I was supposed to get my car, I waited for 30 minutes just to find the salesman, who always seemed flustered. The car was mostly clean, but it had this weird smell, like someone had smoked in it during the month I waited for it. And when I got home, the front driver side tire was super low, and the low tire pressure light came on. You'd think they would have checked the tires during the inspection and filled them up for me!

I asked about the inspection to make sure I wouldn't need a new one since it took so long, but the service folks didn't seem to know the answer right away. I thought that was a pretty basic question. Overall, it was a terrible experience for the car I really wanted. I just hoped for a FULL tank of gas and a car that smelled nice with properly inflated tires. It's the least they could have done.

Volkswagen of Lee's Summit Selling cars with bad engine

Selling cars with bad engine. Paperwork says warranty covers it but they refuse to. Volkswagen didn't do their part selling a used ***. They should've contacted *** care to check for recalls or updates before selling the car. Volkswagen also needed to inform *** care about the new buyer. They failed to do that. Car's engine locked up in less than 2 months. Now it's just sitting in my driveway. They didn't deliver the message to *** so I won't receive updates or recalls in the future. The car's problems should've been fixed before selling it. Previous owner didn't get the 2018 update and now I'm being held responsible for buying a new engine and getting the update done. I won't do that! I bought the car on 07/27, why should I be responsible? No resolution from anyone. Everyone is blaming me. This business would rather make their *** pay thousands ($$$$) out of pocket instead of apologizing and admitting their mistake. Previous reviews mention someone getting a better vehicle for their daughter when they had problems. Why didn't I get the same treatment? Besides pressuring me to finance another vehicle and harassing my significant other to co-sign, this business is a waste of time, I promise you!

Volkswagen of Lee's Summit I bought a car from Lee Summit Volkswagen on 8/3/2022

I bought a car from Lee Summit Volkswagen on 8/3/2022. They didn't tell me it was a smoker's car. When I got home, I noticed a burn hole on the seat and found ash in the center console. I contacted the salesperson on the same day to express my dissatisfaction, but they said I couldn't return the purchase. I tried reaching out to the management multiple times to resolve the issue. On 8/19/22, I went to the dealership to discuss returning the car because they didn't disclose its condition. However, they refused to take it back or offer me the same price I paid for it two weeks ago.

Volkswagen of Lee's Summit On 11/8/22, I bought a 2021 Volkswagen Atlas from Volkswagen of Lee's Summit Missouri

On 11/8/22, I bought a 2021 Volkswagen Atlas from Volkswagen of Lee's Summit Missouri. On 11/10/22, while driving the car, it suddenly shut off right in the middle of an intersection. Thankfully, no one got hurt. I had to turn the ignition off and on again while still stuck in a busy intersection. On 11/11/22, I took the car back to the dealership to get it serviced and fix the problem. However, the dealership couldn't find anything wrong and basically told me to deal with it. Well, on the same night while driving home from the service appointment, the car had the same issue again. I also want to mention that the finance employee at the dealership was really rude and even yelled at me when I tried to discuss our concerns about the car's safety. It's only been 48 hours since I bought it, and I don't feel safe driving it.

Volkswagen of Lee's Summit I bought a Golf from them in 2019 and have had nothing but issues with it since the purchase

I bought a Golf from them in 2019 and have had nothing but issues with it since the purchase. Transmission issue first started in 2020, somehow not covered by power train warranty. So I went ahead and paid $450 to have it fixed. Few months later the exact same issue happens again. They admit it was likely an issue with the original repair, so they fix it free of charge. A few more months go by and we've got the same issue again. Was told they would do the diagnostic service for free and let me know what the issue is. Guess what...same issue. Had to fight to get the diag fee waved after being promised it was covered. This time they want $2100 to repair and their explanation is "damage is likely due to multiple repairs." So they openly admit their previous shotty repairs have cause the same issue, yet they refuse to fix it for me.

Volkswagen of Lee's Summit Traded in my 2016 Honda CRV for a 2016 Chevrolet Traverse on June 12

Traded in my 2016 Honda CRV for a 2016 Chevrolet Traverse on June 12. They gave me $14,000 for my car, and we financed $4,000 for the difference. They let me use a loaner car for 5 weeks, but they didn't give me the title for the Traverse until September. Then in October, the transmission broke down. It wouldn't go in reverse and couldn't go faster than 25 mph. I think maybe the car was flooded before or the dealership knew it had problems. They said it will cost $4,500 to fix the transmission. My husband and I both work full time, and now we only have one car to use. Volkswagen Lees Summit hasn't been helpful at all. They don't communicate well, and we're still waiting to see what they will do. They haven't offered to pay for the repairs or give us a fair trade for the car.

Volkswagen of Lee's Summit November , I went to Volkswagen of Lee's Summit to find a used car

November , I went to Volkswagen of Lee's Summit to find a used car. I had a budget of $10,000 and needed something reliable. The salesman and finance guy assured me they had the perfect vehicle for me. It was a 2013 used Kia Sorento LX with a 2.4-liter engine.

During the test drive, I noticed a noise in the car that they promised to fix. However, even after I made the deal, the noise was still there. They kept the car for over a week after I signed the contract, claiming they needed to fix some undisclosed problems. I'm not sure what exactly they did, but the noise seems to be getting worse.

I don't want to take the car back to the dealership because I feel like I was completely misled and taken advantage of. As a senior citizen, I trusted their word that the car was in good condition. However, I have since discovered that this particular model, along with several others, has been involved in a major lawsuit due to engine lock-ups and fires. This makes me feel very unsafe.

Overall, my experience at Volkswagen of Lee's Summit has been disappointing and concerning. I would advise others to be cautious when dealing with this dealership.

Volkswagen of Lee's Summit On March 20, I took my 2018 VW Passat to VW Lees Summit for a regular oil change

On March 20, I took my 2018 VW Passat to VW Lees Summit for a regular oil change. The service didn't go as expected. After leaving the dealership, I drove a few streets down to a store. When I opened the door, I heard a loud clunk and noticed a dent near the driver side door, coming from the bottom of my car. I immediately drove back to the dealership (which was less than a 10-minute drive) to inform them about the damage. However, the dealership has refused to accept responsibility for the damage that occurred during the oil change. Everyone I've shown the picture to agrees that it looks like lift damage from lifting the car incorrectly. The dealership insists that I must have caused the damage on my short drive after leaving, even though they admit my car was undamaged before the oil change. I had someone in the car with me when I left the dealership, and they can confirm that I didn't damage my car. VW Lees Summit should take responsibility for their actions and the damage caused to my car.

Volkswagen of Lee's Summit I'm writing to complain about the 2013 Chrysler Town and Country that I purchased from Volkswagen of Lee's Summit on 9/11

I'm writing to complain about the 2013 Chrysler Town and Country that I purchased from Volkswagen of Lee's Summit on 9/11. Since then, I've encountered several problems with this dealership. Initially, I had issues with canceling GAP insurance and a Paint and Fabric charge that I didn't want. However, I signed paperwork to have them canceled and was told that they would be refunded.

On 10/08, I brought the car in to address a check engine light that had appeared shortly after I drove off with the vehicle on 9/19. They informed me that there were two codes that needed fixing, but these codes were not covered by the warranty, despite being told that there was a warranty on the vehicle. Now, they're asking for $780 to fix these problems, but they haven't provided any proof that the issues weren't present during their inspection of the vehicle.

I believe that the issues were likely present during their inspection, as they wouldn't just magically appear on the same day as the pick-up. It's frustrating that these issues weren't resolved before I picked up the car or during the service on 10/08.

Volkswagen of Lee's Summit My family and I tried contacting Volkswagen 12 times to use the oil change warranty under 10,000 miles

My family and I tried contacting Volkswagen 12 times to use the oil change warranty under 10,000 miles. It took us about two and a half months. Our first call was on June 20th, 2022, and they finally set up an appointment on August 9th, 2022, after ignoring us and hanging up on us several times. This made us go over our warranty by 2000 miles, and driving became risky because they hadn't handled the recalls. To get the oil change and fix the recalls, I had to talk to their head of HR and another person whose title wasn't shared. I told them we needed the vehicle the next day and when we could pick it up. They didn't respond when we gave our pickup time, so we drove 1 1/2 hours to get the vehicle, but they wouldn't give us the keys. We called again on August 11th, 2022, and they were angry and frustrated with us. They said we were causing confusion and refused to deliver the vehicle due to the hardships we had already faced and the safety risk of making another trip. I mentioned that we have another vehicle that urgently needs repairs and can't be used another day.

Volkswagen of Lee's Summit I bought a car from VW of Lee's Summit on November 22

I bought a car from VW of Lee's Summit on November 22. They had to send it to the service department and clean it before giving it to me because it was just traded in. Since it was Thanksgiving week, they said it might take a couple of days. I had to ask every day what was happening, and they always said they needed to order a part for the car, which would arrive tomorrow. They never told me what part it was, and every day I called to check if it was done because they kept saying tomorrow. It took 2 weeks and 1 day for it to be ready. During that time, I spoke to a manager named *** who told me the following: they had to replace a bent wheel, so they were waiting for the supplier (which was okay with me, but they should have been honest instead of saying tomorrow every time). He also said that my car being in the bay and on the racks was "costing him money" and he "really wanted my car out of there." He even suggested that I should just take my car without fixing it since I didn't know the wheel was bent when I bought it, and they were kind enough to fix it. He also promised to give me a full tank of gas to make up for it. On Tuesday, Dec 7, I finally got my car, and there is definitely something wrong with it. It wobbles when I drive, which it didn't do when I bought it. It also had no gas at all. The gas range was only 0.2 miles. Now I'm taking my car to another dealership to see what's damaged and what they did to it. I can't believe how little communication there was from the sales department and management, and how disrespectful *** was when I confronted him about my problem. They not only provided terrible customer service, but they also gave me an unsafe vehicle with many obvious problems.

Volkswagen of Lee's Summit On 12/11, I went to Volkswagen of Lee's Summit to do a lease buyout

On 12/11, I went to Volkswagen of Lee's Summit to do a lease buyout. I waited in the lobby for a few hours to get the final buyout number. Finally, they gave me $13,671.00, and there were some add-ons listed below without prices next to them. The employee told me that my monthly payments would be reduced to $389.00 before I met with the finance guy. That sounded great to me!

A week later, my loan institute sent me my information, and it showed that I owed $18,879.37, with monthly payments of $337.19 (no complaints there). But I was shocked! When I reviewed my paperwork, I realized that I had been tricked into purchasing warranties. I had no idea about these warranties! When I sat down with the finance guy to sign what I thought was the $13,671.00 deal at $389.00/month, it turned out to be different. I was distracted because he kept talking about his life. He never mentioned anything about paperwork, numbers, dates, or anything related to my vehicle, except when I asked at the end. He did talk about his home, his wife, kids, the truck he just bought, his hobbies, and the fact that he never owned a Volkswagen. He even mentioned his two siblings who work there. But he never discussed my vehicle or the warranties!

When I asked about my squeaky brakes, he told me to put WD40 on them! And let's not forget that another employee told me that Volkswagen is known for squeaky brakes. When I took my Passat in to have something replaced and asked them to look at the brakes, they found nothing wrong except for the noises it made. They basically told me that I would have to live with the problem!

On 1/3/2022, I called to have the warranties removed, but I was told that *** is nonrefundable. Since no one told me this on day one, I asked for an explanation. The person just said it was because of a chemical. I asked where in the contract it stated that it was nonrefundable, but he wasn't sure. He mentioned that it had changed a couple of years ago.

I was also told that I wouldn't have to make a payment for 45 days, but Volkswagen took out a payment on 12/14 after the loan was closed out. I still haven't received reimbursement for that. The closing took place on 12/11.

Volkswagen of Lee's Summit I had the WORST experience ever at this dealership

I had the WORST experience ever at this dealership. My car's been there for 8 weeks. During the repairs, my vehicle (a 2016 Audi A3 with 44K miles) motor blew up and they had to replace it after fixing the water pump and thermostat. But that's not even the worst part. I don't have enough space to explain everything, so email me for the full timeline. This dealership not only blew up my motor and charged me for extra parts, but they also didn't give me a loaner car for weeks. I had to pay for my own rental, missed work, and every time they returned my car, it was in worse condition. It's clear they don't care about customers or their property. I emailed the GM a month ago and got no response. If the GM doesn't care, why should anyone else? The car was dirty inside and out, even though they said they'd clean it. Seats were pushed down, seat covers and tools were left inside. I got the car back on 1/21, parked it in the garage, and on 1/25, it had no heat, coolant warnings, and almost stalled on the highway in freezing temps. I'm appalled. I brought it back, they said it was a coolant valve and fixed it. I picked it up on 1/28 and drove home. This morning, I went on an errand and guess what? The car had trouble accelerating, like it wasn't getting fuel, and coolant temps popped up on the screen again. This is just a small part of my experience. There have been issue after issue, and I don't trust them to fix this car anymore. I don't feel safe driving it.
