Account for my deceased parents
My complaint is the same as all the other customer's issues I have read. My parents passed away. Me and My sister were appointed Co-Personal Representatives. They have all court documents and forms required by them. Tried every kind of way to get the money transferred out of their account, into an estate account. Been over 6 weeks and still can't get it...

Over i years ago, Wells Fargo advisor Brian Carey got us into a promised 5 year commitment investment, total loser of an investment. We were not told that this product would require filing tax extensions as long as we held it, we would not have gotten in had we been told. Well, it’s been 8 years, on a 5 year investment. Our advisor Brian lied to FINRA whom I filed a complaint with and told them he never said five years, a flat out lie. We’ve since pulled over 2m from them and the balance will follow

I have called several times unsuccessfully to get a response from your employees at [protected] (Investments) and [protected] (Taxes)!
My request to them each time I called was to get a 2022 Form 1099 for my deceased sister. She died February 12, 2023. I do her taxes annually but have been unable to complete them this year because your employees continue to assure me they will send the Form 1099 to my niece (her daughter) via email but it never happens.
Here it is July and I am still waiting for someone, anyone, to send this form so I can complete her 2022 taxes!
Her name is Rachel Miller and her account number is [protected]. Will someone please help me?
Thanks,
Carolyn Porter

Desired outcome: Send me the Form 1099 ASAP!!

Beneficial IRA rollover characterized as a taxable distribution
I am the beneficiary of an IRA at a Wells Fargo branch in Louisiana. I wanted to transfer my inherited portion to an Inherited IRA at a Wells Fargo branch in Massachusetts. Instead, the transfer was characterized as a distribution, taxes were deducted and sent to the IRS and other tax agencies and the remainder was transferred to my Bene Wells Fargo Bene IRA. By characterizing the roll-over as a distribution, all of my Social Security income will become taxable. Can this transaction be reversed and re-characterized as a roll-over?
Desired outcome: I would like the incorrect, taxable, distribution, of an IRA reversed and for Wells Fargo to follow the instructions on the IRA Roll-over form submitted for this transaction.
IRA
I opened an IRA account, for the first year it did really good. I had a good advisor. Then the Advisor left wells fargo. I was reassign to another person.
They did nothing on my account but watched lose money. Each time I talked with the advisor she would give tell not to do anything. finally I pulled the money to a safe account. I requested another advisor. The new advisor told me I was abandoned by well fargo. I spoke with the original advisor and he confirmed that they were told not to pay attention to any accounts under a certain amount. I lost 42% on my account. I will never use them again.
Desired outcome: Nothing they can do to make up for this neglect and loss. I know they won't do anything to make up the loss and I sure didn't get an apology
THE SAME THING HAPPENED TO ME 2 years ago me and my wife and the Wells Fargo Advisors drown money from our checking account one of their investment the other one CD according to his advice that there is the company pays 2.5 %interest more than the Wells Fargo checking account so we went to his office at wells Fargo and we did sign the document was for the investment and the other one supposed to be CD he never gives the form to be signed he said later suddenly we fund out that CD acutely he invested without hour signature the same as we sign the first one with Jackson investment with different company supposed to be CD not stock I went and urge with the advisor and he told me you making money on Jackson investment when I ask him
I had the same experience. But I didn’t know this was an actual POLICY at Wells Fargo.
processing acct.with a decedent
my name is Paul F. Fabacher , acct. number is [protected].this acct. was held in joint with my wife Keiko Fabacher. Keiko died on 5/22/2019. I am wanting to transfer the acct. with all securities and cash to Merrill Lynch. I have sent a copy of death certificate, affadavit of Domicile, and a copy of a court ordered succession, and a letter of authorization.
The response of Wells Fargo is zero. An inquiry by phone results in a different person each time and a promise to speak to a supervisor results in a promise to have a supvr/ call back. This never happens.I have submitted transfer forms through Merrill lynch and they were denied. My phone is [protected],or text [protected]/. This has been going on for all of [protected].I bank with wells Fargo, but have lost trust. What kind of behaviour for an investment firm is this?
Please do what you can to convince wells fargo to do their duty. Have they no integrity? Thank You. Paul F Fabacher
Desired outcome: transfer the acct. in whole to merrill lynch as per the transfer request forms submitted.
Receiving beneficiary funds; Trust documents not being accepted.
Wells Fargo Advisors is requiring that I submit Testamentary Documents from a court/probate even though my mother has a Living Trust naming me as a Successor Trustee with the rights and abilities to settle her estate. In addition, I am the beneficiary of the account. I submitted Trust Documents and a Death Certificate on December 2, 2022, but representatives in the call center are not accepting them as proof that I have the legal right to settle her estate, they are rude and they cannot forward my calls to a supervisor or to their legal team. There is a significant amount of money in question, I am settling my mother's estate from another state from that which she lived in, and I will not be able to schedule a court date for many months, but that shouldn't even be necessary. I have read here that this is a common problem with Wells Fargo Advisors and how they handle beneficiary and trust claims.
Desired outcome: That Wells Fargo accept my Trust documents as being legal, settle my claim, and send me a check or deposit funds into my account.
CD
don't t trust wells Faro Broker I have a big issue with the broker I open to accounts one for the stock market one for CD only I am 68 years old when I me and my wife requested he make sure the 2nd will be only CD he told us ok and he prints only one document for investment and we did sign it and I ask him about the CD he told us later .and I found out he behind our back invested with JB Morgan, and for 2 years been received an only statement from the investment, I ask him do you have any document with me and my wife signature no comment from him or his manager
Wells Fargo Advisors will put a restriction on your account if they don't hear from you in two years. Having a restriction on the account limits what you can do with your IRA funds. We have sent the requested paperwork twice and they are dragging their feet. This has been going on since November 9th. They hold your money hostage. Since November I have lost money. They also charge $125 service fee in addition to 1%. I have spent countless hours on the phone with agents and managers. I filed a complaint with the BBB. Should I contact the US Securities and Exchange Commission?
Wells Fargo Advisors
2 years a go mw and my wife the Wells Fargo Advisors we drown moony from our checking account one of them investment the other one CD according to his advice that there is company pay 2.5 %interest more than the wells Fargo checking account so we went to his office at wells Fargo and we did sign document was for the investment and the other one supposed to be CD he never give the form to be sign he said later suddenly we fund out that CD acutely he invested without aur signature the same as we sign the first one with Jackson investment with different company supposed to be CD not stock i went and urge with the advisor and he told me you making money on Jackson investment when i ask him do you have the form for second paper work the same me and my wife sign for for the investment he couldn't say nothing ,and he told me we are a friend if you call my manager he will get fired, the question i have how come only ricived by mail Jackson investment not the other one and he never show it to us and sign by me and my wife,

Wells fargo brokerage
I opened a WF trading acct, deposited $5000 and waited to trade. I decided I did not like the platform because it sucks compared TD Ameritrade and Fidelity so I cancelled my order and let my funds. The online system indicated that the $5000 were available to withdraw. Upon trying to withdraw, I was unable to do so and called customer service and was told to wait 24 hours for the process to clear. Two days later, I was still unable to withdraw funds so I called service again. This time I'm told that there's a 10 day hold on my funds since its a new acct and I can't withdraw. The best they could do is say they'll escalate to a supervisor but, not expecting any help there, either. This is very unethical and in my opinion, illegal. I let them know they need to pay me 20% per day for the use of my money, which is my opportunity cost. They're making money off my money and trying to get away with not having to pay me for it - what losers!
Desired outcome: Identify how many other people had this issue.
Unauthorized charges
I was a victim of theft. My wallet was lost/stolen. I did my diligence with submitting a claim and making myself available to Wells Fargo. The charges were totaling to roughly about $300.00. I have been a loyal customer with Wells Fargo for over 10+ years. After multiple attempts to contact them for resolution, I get told the claim was denied. They basically shoved the $300 down my throat and shut the door on me. I feel completely unappreciated. I went through a situation where I had no control and was faced with consequences of a thefts actions. I am terminating my relationship with this company & will ensure I notify all of my friends and family members.
deceased mother's TOD
My mother passed away on Jan 1 2022. She had a TOD account naming my brother and I as beneficiaries. I notified the advisor of the account, Frank in Garden City NY of her passing and our wish to liquidate. After a half hour attempt at a hard sell of his services, he gave instructions to submit appropriate documents. This was done but no action was taken. I called the branch to speak with a compliance officer and was told that he had not submitted a death claim. This would have been 2 weeks later. I was turned over to his assistant who took over the case. Papers of distribution were filled out as per instructed by me and my brother. Then, we found out that the instructions were incorrect and had to re file those papers which we did. We were told once these documents were received all should be processed in a couple of business days. Now it has been a month and a half since this started.
We are told it has been pushed to an estate planning team. We have had to deal with several banks with this situation and all of them have processed our benefits on the spot. My financial advisor says this is unheard of and unethical at the very least.
Desired outcome: We wish to have this finalized and our monies distributed immediately.
online fees charged for self service action on your own funds - with no accommodating availability to do anything to your account.
wells fargo advisors is horrible, rude and deceptive. I gave wells fargo, where we had been doing our regular banking, funds of $3000. to invest in IRA in 2001 . At some point, around 2014, wells fargo created and imposed upon investor who were formerly Wells Fargo Bank a forced march to a "well fargo advisor, and our IRA had been transferred without my permission to this third-party brokerage account. Without it being made clear to who and why these customer who had been forcebly onboarded our account into this"advisors" third party group, . We received no assistance in understanding where our funds were, where they could be moved to optimize growth of the funds - never given any information about available funds in which to invest. At that point, Wells fargo, with out suggesting how invest the options for investing, assigned my account to a "cash" - not an investment fund. Then
Wells Fargo suddenly began to charge first $50.00 per year what they called full brokerage services . The offered no such assistance - instead were given the only option of participating in a self-service account where we were to navigate the accounts entirely independently with absolutely no assistance and completely inoperable ability to change anything in the account. So I regular arbitrary service fees that ultimately erased over 500 dollars of but my original deposit. I was told that if I made the move to strictly online, where you have no ability to do anything with the funds, the annual fee would not be incurred. A series of "advisors " had assured the fee would not be assessed. It was, on Sept 17, I incurred a fee of $125 as which was added to the annual fee issued earlier in the same year.
Because they company doesn't staff the Wells Fargo Advisor online, I cannot even get anyone on the phone to transfer and cost the account. In the meantime, the unanticipated, willy nilly assessments are draining my account. All reps are rude, and can/will not do anything to assist.
I need fees restored so I can get the IRA out of Wells Fargo - but they send me in useless direction, give me false information and continue to steal great chunks of what is left of my money
Desired outcome: Fees refunded and account transferred to a reputable responsive brokerage concernker

I've been with wfa for a very long g time with decent holdings they carry and invest. Over 5 years ago our san jose wf advisor got us involved in a "5 year commitment" investment, I stress, 5 years, with high a high forecast for really good returns, it was a total loser investment,
The main issue is, and since year one, and we were not told that the investment would require us to file tax extensions every year, we never would have done it had we been informed….. And we're being held hostage in the investment past the 5 years promise, like 2-5 years past, and nothing but lip service from wfa.
Yes, i'm looking options, but no matter, i'm stuck in the nightmare / hostage situation of the investments as we were not told all the pertinent information prior to investing. Lied too? Hmmm
And since covid, we can't even see if we get government stimulus funds as we can't file our taxes for 2020 yet…. But we sure as heck pay taxes to support it…
Desired outcome: Our money did to us, ideally, in full
Paying off rental of safe deposit box
I kept seeing a 35 dollar minus on one of my statements so i called to find out what the charge was for. The first agent took some time but finally found it was for the safe deposit box. I told him to transfer the money from one of my accounts to pay off my dedt. He couldnt and connected me to a second person. Same story. This agent transrerred me to a third agent and the same story continued. Do u believe it! I finally got a fourth person who was willing to transfer the money and pay your bank what i owe. Now it was my turn to get paid for more than 30 wasted minutes. I told the last agent to do nothing and in time this old account which i no longer use will be closed down and i will be in the rental charge. Typos debt and transferred. Have a nice day.warrenp
A
Customer service
I am trying to access my account online; however, I forgot my username. In order to retrieve my name, I need to receive a verification code via text msg to my phone which became disabled yesterday. I called customer support today to see what else could be done and was told that I need to go into a branch as there wasn't anything she could do to resolve my issue.
This is so short-sided. If I lose my phone, change my number or my phone becomes disabled, I have to find a physical branch and travel there to resolve my username issue because there is only ONE electronic mechanism for retrieving my verification code and the verification code is the second form of authenticating the user. Users should have the ability to explicitly identify multiple ways of retrieving the verification code and/or have other means to be authenticated. Seriously?
Desired outcome: Provide another mechanism for providing customers with their username!!!
IRA account
Wells Fargo financial adviser ordered an errand conversion from my transitional IRA to ROTH IRA without my consent. It will cause adverse tax consequences and will hurt me financially when I file taxes next January. I requested conversion to be reversed. Was told that it will happen sometimes in the future without any time frame announced. Official complain was filed by my financial adviser however nobody from complains department has contacted me so far.
Desired outcome: RTeverse transation without delay

Not receiving my stimulus check
You suck! I've been a loyal Wells Fargo customer for years. Planning on changing that! Holding the stimulus checks is about as low as you can get.
I am disgusted to my core with your blatant disregard for millions of suffering people.
I'm supposed to make this over 350 characters otherwise you won't take this complaint seriously but to be honest, pretty sure it won't be anyway.
Desired outcome: To late for that
