On July 20,2023 I purchased through Sams Club onling Genrator Model# WGen9500c. I received on August 15,2023 pm. I called Westinghouse Customer Service on August 22 to complain that the Generator was not putting out the advertised wattage and Amps.. I was told that I would receive a response from customer service shortly. I received a email response on September 27 requesting informaton on the problem which I furnished them. On October 2 they responded that I should bring the generator to their Service Center which is 40 or so miles from me. I notified them that I was 82 years old and could not pick up a 200 lb generator and that their service center was 1 hour away from me. They responded that I could hire a trucking company to pick it up and deliver it to the service center at my expence both ways..
This is a quality problem by Westinghouse and is supposedly under warranty. This should be corrected by Westinghouse at their espense not mine. I consider this a breach of warranty. I would like for them to either pick it up where they delivered it at my home and repair or replace with a working one.
Desired outcome: Repair or replacement at Westinghouse cost.
