In the past week I have been charged by this company 9 times. This is the 4th month that they have done this. We have tried to resolve this, but all we get is excuses. Every month the date changes. I never know when I am going to have to give up half a pay check. The payoff amount never seems to go down either. This company is a joke. I want my money returned. I don't mind making my payment but 4 for each product? I don't think so!

I purchased a 918.00 washer using the why not lease it from Sears. I was told after the 90 days I could purchase the washer. When I tried I was told I had to wait an additional 2 months to purchase. When I tried then, I was told I would have to pay 900 dollars to buy it out. Been fighting with them for months. I have in all paid 1500.00 to date, and now they're telling me in order to stop making payments, i have to buy it for an additional 500 dollars due at the time of buy out. This whynotlease it program is an absolute ripoff. If you do not pay off your item before the 90 days is up, you will end up making payments on it forever, until you return the item, or purchase it outright for almost 50 percent of the original purchase price even if you have already paid more then that.
unable to get an explanation
I applied for a lease thru these people but they are unable to or refuse to explain to me why they denied me, the only phone numbers have been automated recordings and an automated system. when I emailed they still refuse to give me an explanation as to why they denied an application for a lease, that says no credit check required, minimum age 18 years of age etc. and I was standing in front of the Sears Home Store Rep. giving him all of my info. and they still denied me. all decisions final? I asked for a manager or supervisor to call me via email so to no avail I still cant get an answer or why I cant rectify the situation by giving the additional information need to get a lease approved. This whole way of doing business is not customer friendly and certainly a scam when they say no credit check required but then when they cant verify anything supposedly they deny you and don't give you the opportunity to get the info required to them. Its no wonder Sears is going out of business No Thanks to this company.

My husband and I leased a dining table from the sears why not lease it program.Are biweekly payments were set up through automated payments on our bank account.lately on our two last payments i realized that not only im i getting charged the monthly fee but an additional $10 and $5.Due to our concern we reached out to customer service and they said that we are getting charged those additional charges because when they have tried to withdraw the money there were insufficient funds in the account, that being said i visited my bank where i have proif that there was funds in the account .And the company has been trying to take my payments out a day before the due date! I spoke to Mark a superviser that couldnt even explain why the auto ated system was charging me a day before my due dates.He even insisted it was incorrect !
I would like for those 20 extra dollars that have been collected from my account to be refund back to me! Thats a rip off.Above i attached proff that my last payment was on 11/9 yet the company tried ro acces the funds on 11/8

I was told at sears outlet store that if i paid all my lease payments it would automaticaly be paid for .Called tonight was told still have to pay 265 dollors on a 400 dollor washer plus paying on awarranty that is now null and void since sears has filed bankruptcy.So I am stopping all payments and i will not be returning merchindise we can go to court and slug it out as I have paid for over two years a sum of 2160 dollors im done.
Thats not how the warranty works that is bavked bya seperate company and will be honored for the life of your warranty

Back in Oct. I started 2 contracts with whynotlease .. I have 2 very BIG ISSUES! 1ST.. On the first lease the lady I spoke with told me that I would pay basically 6 months and would own it in 6 months.. NO STRINGS attached, no additional finance charges etc. I wasn't supplied with paper work and signed everything on a black sign pad without anything else being explained to me other than how much would come out of my account each week and that it would be paid off in 6 months in full.. This however is not the FACT.. the FACT is you pay multiple payments on a minimum required lease, the after that time frame you are required to either continue to Lease it, Pay the CASH PRICE in full right then ( which I would have just done instead of this damn lease!), or RETURN the merchandise as if you didn't just hand the a ton of MONEY thinking you was done and YAY NOW I OWN IT.. well you don't, they LIED and your was frauded...
2ND ISSUE,
2nd contract I did online set up pick up dates and/or deliveries.. said I would be contacted when the items where ready to be picked up and NO ONE EVER CALLED/EMAILED/TEXT ME.. So I call whynotlease it and ask what is going on they tell me they aren't quite sure they are just the company that takes OUR money (highway robbery), and for me to call kmart and ask what's going on with the lease.. so I then call Kmart and they say that whynotlease it never sent them the paper work and therefore the order was never truly placed.. said that they will cancel out the contract and for me to do it again.. I explained that if I was to do it again it will charge me again they said "that's fine" as if its their money.. I now realize I'm talking to a bunch of money hungry idiots.. I said just to cancel the contract and we would not be creating another one and to issues a refund on ALL payments they took from me.. the stated the contract was closed and the money would be refunded. Now it's been another wk and another pmt has came out of my account AGAIN.. so obviously nothing they said the was going to do they did. I call whynotlease it and the act is if they have no notes in the system and I start all over again insisting the give me my money back NOW.. he states he will send in a request for refund form and this would take a few days for them to reach their decision and someone would contact me about the requested refund.. WHAT DO YOU MEAN WHEN THEY REACH THEIR DECISION? I PAID A DEPOSIT FOR MERCHANDISE I NEVER GOT aswell as y'all continuing to take money out of my account.. you can't provide the merchandise there for the contract is VOID now refund my money.. he again says "like I said I put in a request"..
This is unvelieveable... and so fraudulent and I'm so beyond stressed because of this company.. all I wanted was for what the said i would be getting and paying for and to make my payments and go about my life.. BUT I get SCAMMED... I want someone to contact me on what to do... I'm ready to file a lawsuit!

As I read these reviews I have to say-the same thing has happened to me. I was at sears in July 2018. I was told by rep I needed tires ASAP and he tells me about why not lease it. He explains that I pay on them biweekly and at the end their mine and I'm done. So sounds great. Well I'm paying and then I call to ask how much I owe cause I'm going to pay them off and the man explains I still owe 600$ but the total was only $717.91 (3months ago).I feel they purposely misinformed me to get my business and that this is a total scam. So it's no wonder sears filled bankruptcy and there are tons of complaints about why not lease it. You would think the company would get the hint that they are not handling this the right way when it comes to transparency and customer service. Wondering how many lawsuits they've been involved in over these same practices?
mattresses
I bought mattresses from the miracle mattress place in San Antonio Texas you know the one that made fun of the Twin Towers! Yes That one and I told the manger after getting the mattresses home they were used and nasty this was back in 2014 maybe around July or August I don't know and I don't care because those nasty used mattresses went outside in the trash after calling and calling, and calling to return them I was told No Returns ! Well I'm not paying for used mattresses they were dirty and stained I told them I would bring them back they had been tore on the sides and you can see the filth inside of them used mattresses. So Why Not Lease It wants to take me to court OK go ahead I'm not paying for something that your store did not honor ! I was told they were new Mattress not used ! Sell that to someone else I'm not the one . I will retain a lawyer if needed because your store is a con job store the CSR are horrible and talk to people bad . If the beds were good we would not be doing this . I have already filed complaint after complaint and I was advised to let you know that you need to stop having your nasty rude so people calling me and threatening me sorry that does not work either. You people are never going to resolve anything because all you see is dollar signs . From hard working people that think they are getting new beds and find out they are used . You say Refund Yeah right, Return Yeah right . none of that happen because Miracle mattresses would not honor there word it's bad enough they made fun of 911 . I bought a mattress here and had it delivered and set up. That first night I smelled something raunchy coming from the bed but was to exhausted to look where it was coming from so I just left it alone. By morning I couldn't take the smell any more and had to find out what the hell was the smell. So I ripped off sheets and couldn't find anything until I flipped the mattress over only to find there was pee spots all over the mattress! I called in and complained and told them to come get this mattress out of my house. They said they would not take it back and accused me of peeing the bed! Who accuses there own customers of that!? I am reporting you guys to the BBB about PPP!

unfair treatment
Signed lease for laundry center April 10, 2018 Realized in June 2018, I could not afford center. By that time, the center broke down and almost caught my house on fire. I asked to pick the item up and I will pay them for the time I had it. They stated that it had to be working condition to pick it up. It is still under warranty, so the rep from Kenmore came and accessed and said he had to order parts and it took about 40 days to get center repaired. Called Tempoe back and rep said the time had passed for taking the center back and Sears Outlet refused to take it back. I was behind in my mortgage and that is the reason I asked them to take the center back in the first place. I made a payment plan with mortgage company and I explained to Tempoe that I had to catch my mortgage up in order to house the center. They still refused to work with me . The way they wanted to work with me is to pay account out completely and I am not financially able to do that right now. I would like for them to pick the center up and we make an agreement to pay for the time I have had in my home. I began asking for this process every since June. Money is accumulating every month. I simply cannot afford this center and I have made it known since June 2018 and now this is October. Rep stated that I am responsible for the 274.13 until September 2019. I will have paid for the center 3 times. I need them to pick the center up or tell me where to take it. I will never ever lease anything again. If I dont have the money to pay for it I will not get it.

I leased a tv in 2014 from Kmart! The TV stopped working in 6 months. I took the tv back to Kmart and was told that I had to call the leasing company. I called the leasing company and they said I had to call the TV manufacturers. Call the manufacturer and they told me to ship the tv to them which cost me $50 just for shipping. They send the TV back broken and still not working. During all this time payments are still being taken out. Over time I'm thinking "hey this tv should be paid off by now" being that it was just a 22" tv. I call Whynotleaseit and was told I had to pay off the tv which was about $80. So at this point I have already paid over $200 for this tv and $50 to supposedly have it fixed. Long story short 4 years later this tv is still haunting me, since they decided to sell the "debt" to a collection agency May 2018, now owing $453 for a broken 22" tv! Avoid this company by all means necessary!

I bought a riding lawnmower back in May, I passed my 90 days. I called to see what the buy out lease was and the last told me that I couldn't buy it out because I was passed my 90 days. So, then I asked how much was it to buu it at my 5months. She than said that it was 884.98. Never did she say it was going to be more that 1000.00. When I called yo buy it my lease on September 27 they told me it was 1262.00. I talked the the supervisor Mark and he told me that the buy out lease for September 28 was 884.00. So I dont now why they didn't just give me the total of 1262.00 in the first place, instead giving me the round a round. I am so frustrated because we work hard for our money and to be able to come up with extra it's pretty hard. When I called back Mark took that call and kept on repeating over and over the same thing but I feel like they didn't help me at all. People working there should let the customers know total amount plus the monthly payment. It just makes it more difficult for us. I wish that your team was more helpful and have an actual manager to help out when the supervisor just keep repeating the same things over and over and not taking the customer in consideration. Very disappointed customer. I will this twice before going through why not lease it again.

The first week of July I Purchased in fridge raider from Sears leased it, The fridge didn't work got a second bridge it didn't work cancel the lease on July 13 on August 13 call to find out where my refund was I was supposed to be get and said they needed some the return number got them it on the same day still have not received my refund have received numerous calls from why not lease it saying I owed them money for the next payments

I called to check if I was still approved for money, I was going to lease a refrigerator from Sears. I was told that I had a delinquent account that was being sent to a bill collector for recovery. I explained to the female I was speaking to that I had first leased a lawn mower and paid it completely off. I then went back a year later and leased 2 lawn mowers, I returned one the next day, leaving me 1 lawnmower that I paid off completely. There was a mistake in your computer before and they supposedly fixed it. I wanted to speak with a manager so they could go in and fix this problem. The lady I was speaking too spoke with a manager and the manager wouldn't speak with me, I am so upset. I do not owe Why Not Lease It any money what so ever and I would like this cleared up and to be compensated for my trouble. If not, I will retain a lawyer the following week, this is inexcusable! Management needs to call me [protected].

Sears in lima said use the why not lease program we informed him we did not want too lease we wanted too buy our items on Sears credit he said use the why not lease program and it is the same and this is a purchase program not a lease witch was a complete lie I have paid over 480 dollars for 200 dollars worth of tools and they say I still owe them 160 dollars also I bought a washer and dryer for around 1200 have paid forever on that and they say I still owe 604 dollars so since Sears wants too get in business with crooks like the why not lease people I will never buy from Sears or Kmart ever again

I see you cannot threaten a business with court procedures if you want to do business with them again, this sorry company took it personal and denied my new lease regardless of the two previous orders I have paid of early bad business as I told the agent on the phone it is no wonder the stores aren't doing well, well I'm retired and can do business anywhere thought I would support business in state.
I will pay cash for the set and buy it from your competitor, good luck when you don't have a job and these stores are shut down because I once cared now I don't shut them all down

Purchased a tv using this program. Before the tv even arrived I had to make 3 payments. Then payments are due every Friday. The first Friday I went to pay it at 530 PM and was told I owe a $20 late fee because they tried to take it out of a bank account I didnt set up for the payment. Then I set up an account just for these payments. Every Friday I receive an email saying they cant access the account so it's another $20 late fee. This happens every week by 6pm and the money is always in the account. So I pay the payment using the same account but now they are deducting from the payment for their "late" fees. When you call customer service you wait on hold and then get the customer survey but cant talk to anyone. Emails go left unanswered. It's time for a Class Action Lawsuit for bad debit collection to start with and one I will be looking into

Was damaged on delivery, Sears issued a pick up order, the company ( Demar Logistics ) knew nothing about it, on August 4th FINALLY got in touch with R&L Carriers who picked it up, Why Not Lease It never responds to emails, they have all the info needed and STILL try and charge me, my bank charged THEM back the deposit, and we have now blocked them from charging anything, these guys are crooks, not Sears, or the carriers, its them, do NOT buy anything or lease ANYTHING from them, they dont care and as long as they can, they will make YOU pay even if damaged and picked up,
everything. just everything they do.
Seriously, don't get into bed with this company.
If you haven't read anywhere yet, the lease will continue on for the rest of your sad and sorry life, unless you choose a buy-out program. They offer 30/60/90 day early purchase options, each more expensive than the first (which makes sense). If you miss these, you do a final buy-out.
Say you leased items for $1000 and your payments monthly were $100. You make your ten monthly payments, and pay the entire balance for the items you leased. You can either continue paying why not lease it $100 for the rest of eternity to not own your items or you can buy them out for like $600. So you end up paying about double the price of the original items.
Listen to this: I cancelled an item from my lease and needed a loan adjustment. The absolute idiots will not adjust the balance so I can take my soul back from their depths of hell and forget I signed my life away to them. It has been a month, and I have called every day and not one person in the building can take a calculator, subtract $200 from my original balance and say "hey, this is your new balance."
Don't [censored]ing do it. Nothing is worth this absolute nightmare. I would rather eat glass every day of my god damn life than sign a lease agreement with these buffoons again.

My boyfriend is currently paying off his whynotleaseit account he was charged 3 bills today alone! This is putting us behind on other bills. If you absolutely need something do not go here this isn't the first time this has happened this month alone! Everytime it happens we're told that it won't happen again and it does happen again I mean seriously?

This company is absolutely unethical, immoral, unprofessional. There are not enough words in the English dictionary to describe the absolute nightmare we have faced with them. Leased a tractor at the end of June. Were told our monthly payment would be $174.44, and that it would begin on August 10, 2018. That same day we received an email stating that amount, and what we would pay if we wanted to purchase it at that time, what we could do at the end of five months, which was to either continue leasing at that amount, purchase it, or return it to the store. We then received a new email last week stating that the lease amount is $203.05. We contacted customer service through email, and then by phone to discuss the discrepancy. We were told that they couldn't change the amount. After being on the phone over a half hour, and waiting while they spoke with different supervisors, we were told we could return the tractor at our local Sears store where we got it, receive the $400.00 back that we put down and be done with it. Well, we attempted to do so today. The store would not take it back because WhyNotLeaseIt denied they told us we could do so. Called WhyNotLeaseIT while there and they said no we could not return it, had to keep it at least 5 months, and that we can't even return it then. We were told they would continue to take the $203.05 out of our account. At this point we have spoken with our bank and they are telling us it is considered fraud.
