Horrible Contract Terms, no consistent billing
BEWARE... Contract Terms Automatically Renew... Prices Go up practically every month... Was with them 6 years and it went up every month except maybe the first 5 or 6 months...
Multiple outages... and they won't let you out of your contract to save your life. Gotta pay it off in full to cancel.
They don't put the Terms and conditions on their contracts. They just say terms as written on their website.
Recommendation: If you have any other Choice, I would not recommend getting them

Bill increased greater than 20% and the cpi increase max
Contracted with wiline early 2020, billing started going up in 2022 though we have a contract. We sent letter terminating contract at end of the terms of signing. Indicated Wiline should come collect their equipment. Contracts at Wiline dot come does not answer. Our accounting dept. overlooked our credit card on file and Wiline has been billing and never canceled the contract. The rate has gone up 66%. After repeated emails to contracts, to billing, and sales. Followed by many calls to sales and billing and customer support where they also emailed contracts, we still cant get ahold of anyone.
I now have heard they are likely to file for bankruptcy and are having a hard time making payroll. This might explain my experience. I implore someone at Wiline to contact me and help here.
Claimed loss: ~$2,800 to $18,756
Desired outcome: contract cancelation, wiline to pick up their equipment, receive credit of rate increase above contracted amount.
Automatic contract renewal without notice and large price increases
Our company signed up with Wiline in 2017 for a three year internet service contract (acct #921405). In May 2023, our contract auto renewed for three more years. We pay the charges on an annual basis to take advantage of the discount Wiline offers. In Nov 2022, we paid $2,390.82 based on Wiline's invoice covering service period 1/1/23 - 12/31/23. We thought...

We Got WiLine in 2017 for a 3 year contract, Like most people we did not know it was an auto renewal because the Customer service Agreement for Data and Voice that you sign did not come with the full Terms of Agreement. The forms have a "as posted on www.wiline.com" in the fine print for their service agreement, but they never have you actually sign or initial the service agreement paper that reference the auto renewal.
Anyways after 6 years of on time payments, and multiple outages, I tried cancelling our service at the end of July only to be told that it auto renewed for 3 more years just a couple of weeks before our request and it would cost me 22,464.74 to pay off the Data and Voice contracts for 3 years. It probably doesn't matter very much, but they show we started 7/16/2017, but we show our first bill had our first call go out on 8/16/2017 a month after they show. We were on Hot Spots prior to that.
I asked if there was anything I could do and was told no, they could only renegotiate what I was paying monthly... for a better price... I went from 20mbps in 2017 dedicated at about 350.00 a month to This past bill being over 640.00 for the same 20mbps... A new company offered me almost 50% off that price and 100mbps so we went with them.
22,464.74 cancellation for a contract that I did not know was on automatic renewal is obscene... When I see others buying out way cheaper... Before I put this complaint on this site ( and possibly others soon) I asked the rep if there was any other options and he said no, only negotiating a lower price. Otherwise I never would've posted this had they said anything other then no.
WiLine needs people to sign that agreement term and not a paper that says go to our website to see the terms (if they haven't changed that already) also they should be like Lease companies who tell you 60 days in advance that your lease is set to Renew for another year.
The fact that the price can go up 10 months out of 12 months every year lead us to believe we were on a Month to Month contract after the first year...
Missing the auto renewal date by 30 days should lead to a full 3 year buy out. that is brutal, how can that be justified?
Desired outcome: We would like to be released from the contract that we missed cancelling by a month or so...[protected]@aol.com909-468-0706
Wiline will not contact me about this outside a demand letter they just sent me. I've requested arbitration multiple times and as of today they have not responded to any of my requests. I know that California has an Automatic Renewal Law in which they have to notify you in advance of the renewal and give you an option to opt out. But It may come down to going to court unfortunately. I'm paying about half the price now that Wiline is was charging.
I feel like I may only get a response if I start hitting all the complaint boards I can get ahold of. That's probably next
Good Luck.
Just curious if you had any positive resolution to this. Stuck in a similar situation with them.

I signed contract on 03/15/2023.
As per contract service should be installed in 30 business days, Took more than 43 business days just for Circuit that was never mentioned in Contract.
They emailed me to follow installation steps but I have 0 % knowledge so how could I do that.
They promised me to installing Rauters for mesh WiFi that is not installed yet.

We accidentally overpaid our bill last December (2019)
We accidentally overpaid our bill last December (2019). We had terminated our service due to glitchy internet service. On 1/1 we received a bill which is really a credit. The amount owed to us is $118.00. We have continually called and emailed for the past ten months to no avail. Sure about every other month - we receive an email acknowledging the email and with a promise that they will issue a check. Been told in previous months that it's in the next week's check run. No check has been issued and monthly we receive our "invoice". It's beyond frustrating at this point. A. Wish to warn others from using Step House and their parent company WiLine. B. Just would love to receive our refund of $118.00. I'm happy to provide monthly copies of our "invoices" showing our credit due. I'm happy to provide the countless times that I've called (no answer) and emailed ea month.

Our Medical Group signed a 3 year contract for phone service
Our Medical Group signed a 3 year contract for phone service. We were not aware that the 3 year contract would automatically renew for an additional 3 years. In the 5th year we requested to cancel the contract beause they were not delivering the service that was promised in the contract-over 35 service tickets were put in and they never got to the bottom of the issue. When we asked to cancel they charged an early term fee of $4200. They continued to charge our credit card on file even though we asked them not to. A dispute filed with our Credit Card Company was honored, but now they want to take us to court for $4200. They stated the service tickets are not being acknowledged because we never requested a credit on our account for the interuption of services. We were not aware that this was something we were supposed to request. The early term fee should be waived because they did not live up to their end of the contract--to provide proper phone service.

We signed up for Wiline in 2016
We signed up for Wiline in 2016. We have not had too much trouble with them except for a few times when they had a system error and our internet is down for the day. We signed a 2 or 3 year contract initially and thought we were on a month to month contract now. We even called in, asked and emailed their special department to confirm with no response. For our current business needs, we would like to switch to another carrier and they have even offered us faster speeds at a cheaper price. We were never informed that our contract is up for renewal, they said it was an auto renew and we are not able to get out of it unless we pay the remaining balance of two years which auto renewed in July. Their contract department representative says there is nothing he can do and if we decided to switch it automatically goes to their legal and collection department. This is some of the worst service we have received, it seems they care more about their wallet then serving the needs of their customers

I was a customer of theirs for just over a year with no issues at all, until our service went out and then Wiline took more than a week to show
I was a customer of theirs for just over a year with no issues at all, until our service went out and then Wiline took more than a week to show up to resolve the issue. A WEEK! As a business that relies on Internet connectivity, this is totally unacceptable. They left one of my employees waiting at the office twice that week for them to arrive and they failed to show up for two scheduled appointments. When I resorted to finding an alternate service provider, Wiline told me that me being offline for a complete week fell inside of the service level agreement. I requested to speak with a management-level person to discuss, which they ignored. I requested 5 times to speak with someone who could discuss the terms of their service and they ignored every request. I even offered to pay for 3 months of service as a consolation for them losing my business but they refused to accept the offer. I requested again to speak with someone who could discuss coming to an agreement on and they ignored my request multiple times. They just kept sending me invoice after invoice with piling on charges until finally, they sent my account to collections. This company is an absolute disgrace and they should be ashamed of themselves.

A WiLine sales rep convinced me into a 36-month WiLine Data and Telephone plan without full disclosure.
A WiLine sales rep convinced me into a 36-month contract for WiLine Data and Telephone plan without disclosing that they don't support analog lines for our ADT security alarm system. When their technician came to install the service, he mentioned that WiLine doesn't support analog lines for our alarm system or fax machine. He pressured me to sign the service contract, promising to address the fax issue later, which he never did. Unable to use our fax, I reached out for service termination. I was told ADT should resolve the issue, not WiLine. After several calls to WiLine's headquarters to cancel the service, I was informed that to terminate the contract, I would have to pay the full amount for the remaining months. They insisted on charging the full monthly fees as an Early Termination Fee, which seems unfair. I need assistance to challenge this practice, as it seems unjust for a company to lock a customer into a contract for unsatisfactory service.
