Caulk work
Caulking work seal is failing around windows. We had our windows installed Nov. 2021. It is now Dec. 2023. I think the warranty should cover these issues not for only 2 yrs. Company needs to use a better caulking for outside (weather caulking). Using inside caulking on the outside is not good. I contacted window world of Tampa and was told the caulking is out of warranty.
Claimed loss: You will have rainwater coming into your home.
Desired outcome: A 10yr Weather caulk for the outside seal around the windows.

I signed a contract on 8/28 for windows to be installed
I signed a contract on 8/28 for windows to be installed. The contract clearly states 5-8 weeks for installation to occur. It has been 19 weeks I paid a good faith deposit, therefore, Window World has possession of my money and have given no indication of when the installation will begin.

On Feb 22nd I had Window World come give me an estimate for a new window
On Feb 22nd I had Window World come give me an estimate for a new window. Dan K. came and quoted me a price of 943.00 for a window. I paid him by check on that day.. He called me the next day and told me they could not get the window in the desired color. I asked him at that time to cancel the order and refund my money. He said he would do that. I have not seen a check in the mail since then. I have contacted the Window World corporate office and they said they would talk to the franchise about my issue. I still have not heard anything from the Corporate office or Window World in Tampa. I just want my money refunded to me as they did not uphold their end of the contract.

I ordered four windows from Window World with main office in Tampa on April 20th
I ordered four windows from Window World with main office in Tampa on April 20th. Deposit paid of 1,900 at that time. I am still waiting on the windows. A letter sent to me from the company stated there would some delay because of covid but would keep me posted. That did not happen. I have called and emailed. Each time a different story. Now the answer is three window came and one back ordered. And they have no idea of time frame. So summer will be almost over before I receive these windows or if I do. Who is in charge of this company? Circumstances can be out of our control. Communication is key to success for any company! I would like my windows or a full refund. Does the local TV Station that advertises for WW know about this?

We ordered Windows and Sliders for our home in January They told us due to COVID it would be apx 10 to 12 weeks for our windows to be manufactured. We had no problem with that. After 7 months we were told all the windows and sliders were in. We prepped the house moving and covering all the furniture in each room & the day they arrived to install, 2 windows were made the wrong size and 2 sliders were missing. They promised a fast order we waited another month and received a call on Monday 8-23 that all the items were in, and they would be here on Wednesday 8-25 to install. 8-24 we moved and covered all the furniture once again for the install on 8-25. 8-24 am we received a call after prepping the house once again, closing down my business for 2 days again, that 2 of the windows are not in so they won't be here to install any of the windows. We have lost money and time and tired of the promises and lies. I want my windows installed and compensation for time lost at work.

I paid $6181.00 for brand new windows from Window world 2/24
I paid $6181.00 for brand new windows from Window world 2/24. The installers that window world hired were a joke. The one guy had a hangover and slept in the car while the other guy worked. That was the start of the issues. I called them started July 12 I started talking with Chad about how bad these window were. Then in 2017 started talking with Jim and now Dave. Here the problem now I have ruined subfloors from rain running down the Window world installers never put any caulking in. Dave told me today that I should have caulked them. When I try telling him they never were caulk to start with by the installers that WW hired. It is costing me over $3000.00 to replace my floors. I got a call from a Dave from window world today 4/22 that pretty much told me that it was my fault. I live in a mobile home and one of the questions I ask the salesman Ronnie M. is what if I get a leak from these window. He told me Window world would fix any damage. Worst nightmare ever!

Signed contract with WW 3/9 for 4 windows & gave CC deposit on 3/12 w a 8-12 wk est
Signed contract with WW 3/9 for 4 windows & gave CC deposit on 3/12 w a 8-12 wk est. Order was not placed until 3/29. Checked on status several times & was given false/misleading info re: shipping dates etc. 16 weeks after execution was given an install date. Installer showed up with a broken ladder & advised i needed to reschedule which was unacceptable. I was told job description was inadequate re: height etc & it required a lift. Installers wouldn't climb the required height but there were some that would. Waited 4 hours, they never showed whole day wasted & costs incurred. Was told new installers would come back next day. They did but AGAIN wrong size ladder. Wasted aprx 2+ hrs for foreman to get ladder while his helpers started porch window. Rain began about 3:30 and they couldn't finish b/c started at porch (under cover). Also sent wrong window and wrong size! 9 Days, 2 windows in so far. Incompetent at best malfeasant at worst. Much more but limited to 1000 characters!

I was ignored, lied to and placated by sales rep and mgr
I was ignored, lied to and placated by sales rep and mgr. It has been 13 weeks since my order which was advertised to take 5-8 weeks. Chronology: Customer ID XXXXXX 6/11 docusign order; Jeff R., sales rep, said to contact him at the 4 week mark (7/9) to check on the order. 6/25 docusign new billing slip; they lost account # 6/29 asked for my charge card #; had to scan and email since no one available to take it over the phone; asked Baton Rouge regional office for ETA (estimated time of arrival) and they said R. would have to give me that info 6/30 R. returns to my home to check "legs" (grids) on my front window "eyebrow" (arch). Measures again. 7/2 R. sends email picture of a front window. No explanation. I asked why he sent the photo and he replied with "Do you like it for your front window?" I said "yes" assuming he was just making sure it was OK to adjust the invoice with this item. 7/15 6:59am: Need to docusign new contract with front window changed to single hung while all others remain double hung. 9:34am completed docusign. 9:54am R. stated "This is the last change. We will rush the order." Asked about ETA - no reply from R. 7/24 Six weeks since original order. Contact R. to check ETA. R.:"I haven't heard anything yet. I'll check." No answer. 7/27 Week 7. I requested installation the week of 8/3 since that would be 8 weeks and I had upcoming surgery. R.: "I'll see if there is a ship date." 7/30 NO REPLY. I write: "It's been 3 days." R.: "Sorry. I'll try again in the morning." 7/31 R.: Laurie off today. She is the only one that handles that. I'll try on Monday. 8/4 R.: "I called first thing this morning. No luck. Try calling Baton Rouge. Phone number on your contract. Give them your name and account #." Baton Rouge couldn't help but connected me with Laurie in the Seminole office. Laurie stated that she was at work last Friday but in the warehouse and not at her desk. In discussing my order, she found that the adjusted paperwork had not been filed by R.so she was still expecting 13 windows instead of 12. She never got a call from R. as he stated. Laurie told me Joe P. was the Manager & Owner. 8/5 Tried contacting Joe P.. In sales meeting on Wednesdays. I'll give him the message. 8/7 11:29am Spoke with P. for 42 minutes. Outlined all of the above dates, lies and mishandling. He gave me the "party line" chapter and verse. After covering my chronology, I broached the subject of their ADVERTISED $50 referral program where I had requested this for neighbors who referred my brother who purchased & install 8 windows in his home last April. This request was originally made in April, again in May when R. was at my home, and again with P. who asked that I text him the information. I immediately did so at the end of this call. He promised to look into it and call me back. 8/13 surgery so unable to con't contact since 8/7 8/27 received email: windows arrived in warehouse. "Someone was probably already in contact with you for installation." NO! 9/3 No phone call for installation. I called WW; spoke with David; he said can install 9/14 week or later; explained to David I needed to speak with P. first. David will give him the message. 9/10 Waited for call. No call. Tried Baton Rouge Regional Office. Jason G., Customer Relations Mgr out. Call tomorrow. 9/11 Called Baton Rouge. Phone clerk: G. away from desk. Asked me to explain the situation. Gave him summary. He kept pushing me to schedule installation. Three times I told him I expected an adjusted invoice before doing so! Told Mr. G. would speak with P.. I asked if I would have to wait another 8 days for reply and was told that P. would call me that same afternoon. NO CALL. It will be 14 weeks on Thursday, 9/17, since my original order. Their advertising touts their core value to be "family approach" and "to provide our customers with a high level of service..." Also told that it takes 2 weeks to receive the $50 referral check and it has been 5 weeks since the LAST request with P..

Windows that were installed are leaking and water is entering the residence below
Windows that were installed are leaking and water is entering the residence below. I have contacted Window World, they now will not respond to me. I purchased my replacement Windows from Window World in 2012. The neighbor below my unit had her Windows replaced by Window World of Tampa Bay and they were installed on Saturday 12/12. This client is ***. When her old windows were removed water came out of the opening. MS. took photographs of the opening and the adjacent wooden support. There was rotten wood very visible in th picture. The Window World installers proceeded to install the Windows and closed the opening over the rotten wood. ( MS. has the pictures of the rotten wood). MS. contacted the maintenance supervisor of the COA, who had a roofing contractor who had recently replaced the roofing in the entire condominium complex come to inspect the problem. The contractor performed a leak test on the Windows in my unit directly above the windows below that had just been replaced. The result was water intrusion and leaking in the unit below. The entire building had recently been painted and the windows, doors and trim has been completely inspected and caulked. This was all done prior to the replacement of her windows. MS. called Window World and informed them of the problem and they had an inspector come out to see what the problem was. According to MS., he did nothing other than look at the caulking around her windows. The maintenance supervisor was also present at the time. The Window World representative informed her that he would need to speak to his general manager and they would determine the course of action that was needed. MS. never received any response from Window World regarding her leaking windows. I contacted Window World and informed them of the problem with the leaks identified by our contractor. I requested that they have their inspector come and inspect my Windows for possible leaks. The representative came without notifying me of his arrival as he indictated that he would so I could meet him there. He finally called me approximately 30 minutes after his arrival. he never introduced himself other than that he was from Window World. In the interim he was nasty to the property manager and maintenance supervisor, asking them who they were and wanted to know what they were doing there. When I arrived he restated his resume and looked at the outside of MS. windows, never stepping inside. I finally asked him if he was coming to look at my Windows since I was the person who made the appointment and would be the person paying the $50.00 inspection fee. He agreed to go upstairs and look at the windows. He removed the screens and asked if we had a steak knife he could use to check the weep holes so he didn't have to go to his truck. He said there was nothing obvious that was damaged since I had no water intrusion in my unit. I asked him what the next step was. He indicated he would have a meeting with the WW general manager and decide what was to be done. I have never heard back from anyone. I had the roofing contractor come and inspect my windows, he opened the walls and found evidence of water intrusion and rotten wood directly below the window the window seams and corners. The walls are still open awaiting inspection by Mr. R. My concern as a condo board representative is that the COA is responsible for repairs or the common elements inside the walls caused by leaking windows. I contacted Window World and asked to speak to Mr. Jim R. the owner of the franchise. He was not available, so I asked if he would contact me to discuss the situation. He has not returned my calls despite multiple requests. I sent a message via their website and asked again for him to contact my by the end of the business day of March 1 before I contacted the ComplaintsBoard.com. To date I have had no response nor has MS. from Window World of Tampa Bay.
