I was very impressed with David ***. He was courteous, professional, and knowledgeable. He had come for our annual maintenance on the Furnace and Hot Water Heater, but after seeing that I am on oxygen 24/7, began explaining the benefits of the "Air Scrubber", that cleans the air & disinfects everything throughout the house. His knowledge was excellent. I ended up having him install it that same day, attached to the furnace. I could tell the difference in the air shortly thereafter. Gratefully yours, Dixie H.

The Wirenut tech's Joe F & Kevin M were very wonderful! They notified us of the time they would arrive, and were prompt. They were very courteous and polite. Joe did a very through examination and found the issue we were having. He talked with his company and they developed a plan to fix the problem. Then Joe & Kevin corrected the issues. We are very grateful that Wirenut employees such reliable, responsible, dedicated employees and highly recommend this company and these employees for any heating and air conditioning work. Wirenut is a company that definitely stands behind it's work.
I had a issue with shower pressure and *** came out to fix it. They needed special parts because it was not a standard shower. Upon fixing the shower then it was discovered that the hot water heater had a crack in it at the bottom. I was starting to become stressed because I was on a deadline to travel but Wirenut was excellent and worked with me. Everyone I spoke to like ***, ***, and the answering service were pleasant. Both the techs *** and *** were very polite and friendly. *** installed the water heater and corrected inspection issue from the county inspector which was minor. I am happy with the service. *** and *** were very calming to talk to and they helped Alleviate some of the stress I was feeling with selling the house and the repairs that were needed. I have been a customer of ***'s for many years. I have always found their service to be top notch. I am especially glad that they now provide all kinds of home services now. They used to be primarily electrical. If you need their services and get the opportunity, I highly recommend *** as your technician. She is knowledgeable, pleasant and happy to explain what she is doing.
Over $900 to replace an existing bath fan in an 8 foot ceiling, not even over a tub or shower, that we supplied... totally ridiculous! All the technician wanted to do was upsell...to their "annual plan"...to replace the breaker panel. They charged $89 for just showing up and all he did was turn on the bath light switch and take the screws out of the breaker panel box then put them back. At least we hope he didn't cause a problem that someone else will have to fix. We will never call them again!
The customer service is absolutely horrible
The customer service is absolutely horrible. I have been waiting almost 2 weeks for an electrician to come over. My appointment was 8 am and they called me at 7:52am to tell me they had to cancel and move my appointment another week out. The customer service agent who has been working for 17 years as she claimed had a terrible attitude. As I tried to explain the frustration of a last minute cancel, because I had arranged my schedule to have the time off she kept talking over me and speaking very aggressively telling me. I feel sorry for the company that has her as their one of company representatives. She sure didnt represent the company well at all and because of her, the company lost my business and I wont recommend this company to anyone.
Plan on being rescheduled! Scheduled twice with wirenut now I am rescheduled yet again. My appointments were not emergency, but granted, I have to arrange my time to accommodate them.

The work was done and mission accomplished. However, they were not up front about how much their parts would cost when they fixed the problem. I knew about the service fee which was OK and understandable (paying for an electrician) but a $15-25 switch cost me over $100. Essentially, a $100 bill became approx $200 for the installation of 1x GFI 20a outlet. This was a scheduled, non-emergency/weekend appointment (about a week out so I didn't expect that kind of cost). Recommend you ask about the costs of the part up front and shop around a bit more. When I called the company, they said they had to charge those prices to cover "overhead" and they only make 10%. Overall assessment: good work--overpriced parts--better to look for a company/electrician with less "overhead."

Jared went above and beyond in the service he did at our home
Jared went above and beyond in the service he did at our home. We received a quote before the repair started and it was a fixed price not an hourly rate charge, We had light fixture and a switch that we had purchased to be installed. The light fixture was installed with no issues but the switch appeared to be defective upon installation. Jared had to take a 4 switch panel apart for a second time and wired in a replacement that he provided and programmed it as it modifies the time outdoor lights turn on and off based on the phase of the sun. Jared also discussed some the the code changes for electrical service and wiring concerns that we needed to be aware of as the house was built in 1986. He did provide 2 quotes, without pressure, if we wanted to do an upgrade. We will definitely call on Wirenut Home Services in the future and would ask for Jared if available.

I was quoted almost $2900 to replace a water heater that was still under warrantee. The service professional explained the total was due to code violations and needing 5 - 6 hrs of work to do the job. When asked how its so expensive with a warranty, he explained that the $2900 was after applying a standard 20% discount they use when a water heater is covered.Confused on how the price added up, I decided to contact one last company. With under 1 hour of work, the owner replaced the water heater with a total cost of $500 to cover labor, tax, permits and disposal. He explained there were no code violations and that it was a simple job - stating the other quotes were criminal. The city inspector also confirmed that there were no violations. WireNut retained 15% of their criminal quote, keeping almost $500 of my hard earned money. Shame on Wire Nut for having a cancellation fee just as much as the total cost to fix my issue.
WORST SERVICE EVER!
WORST SERVICE EVER! At their recommendation they removed a 3 ton AC and replaced it with a 2 ton AC. It didn't work! The day the temperature was 105 my AC was set to 70 and ran all day and got down to 80. They replaced it with 2.5 ton unit. It didn't work. They said we need to get aeroseal done. We had that done. It still doesn't work! The said we needed to have a cold air return installed in our ceiling and 2 more vents cut in the floors. I had that done. It still doesn't work! Now they say the *** ends in the attic are blocked and I need to have 3 fans installed in the attic at the tune of about $6,000.! I contacted the Pueblos *** and upon inspection found a permit was not obtained to install the 2.5 ton AC, that the *** ends are not blocked, none of the ducts are properly attached and the high end unit we paid for was not installed, a basic unit was. WIRE NUT HAS LIED TO MY HUSBAND AND I AND HAVE ROBBED US!

I own two homes that I wanted Wirenut to do maintenance on the furnace for the Winter. They set up two appointments. The first one was at my home they canceled twice. When they did come they said my ducts need cleaning. They talked me into this and sealing the ducts and to take out a service contract which we did. The other home is a rental property the tech that showed said that there where all these problems with the furnace that it needed a new blower motor the cost of the motor was over $2000.00 plus labor. I have a nephew in another state that is a Hvac plumbing and heating business that blower motors $200- 300 even for multi speed motors. I told the Tec just clean the furnace. The furnace is still working fine. So Wirenut called us to schedule service for maintenance for our air conditioner with a window of 10:00am-1:00 pm they call at 10:20 and said they were not coming. they had other more important call to take care of. This is not good customer service.

On Oct 28 had a service tech come to my house to replace two outlets in the kitchen with GFCI outlets and one in a downstairs bathroom. After having two previous appointments cancelled as the technician reported in as sick, I finally received the call that a technician was on the way. The work was completed and a very good job was performed. My complaint is not about the work, my complaint is the overall cost of the project? $741.00 for the replacement of three GFCI outlets and face places is on the extreme side. If this was emergency repairs I could under stand the charges, however a service at the convenience of Wire Nut and a couple of cancellations on their part at my inconvenience of making arrangements to be home for these appointments is a huge disappointment. I have had several trades (plumbers and framers) on my property and in comparison, Wire Nut is asking 2.5 dollars for their services. The work is completed and I am satisfied with that, however I believe the price tag for that service is out of line. I won't call or use Wire Nut in the future. I am also happy that I cancelled their plumbing service prior to receiving that ***. I am sure that I would not be happy with that invoice either? I will not be recommending them either!

My basement flooded due to my sump pump not functioning. Jared came out and told me I needed a new pump. He quoted me a price of$2,237.00 for a new pump with a battery back-up system. I was in a panic as we were getting a lot of rain and did not want my basement to flood again. Not knowing the price of pumps I agreed to go ahead with the quote and signed a form that required me to pay half the amount. Jared said they had to order it and it would take several days to get as they did not have them in Colorado. After several days of no pump, I began worrying about another flood coming and began checking around with friends and other plumbers and found out that I was being way overcharged. A friend found a plumber for me who installed a pump for me for $470.00. That did not include the battery pack, but that would cost me another$150.00. Wirenut was charging me $1,617.00 more. I complained but they just said that was the price and charged me 15% of the total price for cancelling. Someone from the company called me to ask why I gave Jared a bad review. When I explained that he had overcharged me by a lot, she said they had to advertise and their equipment was the best, therefore, the high price. They explained that the entire electrical panel would have to be replace and brought up to July code. Total cost $8,600 plus dollars. Well, we were in a bit of a rock and hard place: we were in the middle of selling our home and the new buys were having the home inspected on Wednesday. They said that they could get working on it on Monday and install a new service. One man showed up and got busy. By the time it got dark we had power once again. He said that we would be contacted to set up the final inspection by the City. We heard nothing and a week later called wire nut and they said that's not how it works and set up an appointment for us. Well, a few days later the City electrical inspector showed up. looked at the work that was done and called in for an emergency power shut down as the work was so bad that it was dangerous and could cause a fire. He himself called and spoke to the manager of wire nut and explained to her how bad the work performed was and that they should respond immediately and fix the issues. We were contacted by the manager by phone, and she said that she was sending her best electrician out immediately to fix the issues. He showed up with a journeyman and they began correcting the issues. They had to redo almost everything that was done before and as I watched as they removed the main power wires that were not connected as they should have been and that could have started a fire and caused my home to burn down. The two of them worked for five plus hours fixing all that had been done wrong on the pervious visit. After all of this they would not cut any money off the ***. I had spoken to a neighbor about the electrical issues, and he told me that he was having a different company and they would be charging him around *** dollars. Wire nut has written into their contract and paperwork a price match Guarantee. We contacted the manager and she said that when the work was completed on the neighbor's home for us to submit that information to her and she would look at doing a price match. Well, the neighbor had the work completed and he gave me a copy of his total ***, *** dollars. The electric company that did his work came over and looked at all the parts and components that wire nut had put in my home. He said that what they were using were the same and showed me what he had put into my neighbor's home and they were the same. I called wire nut and was told to email the paperwork and they would see that the manager would get it. I called a week after doing this and asked the manager to call, no call back, I called again and no call back. I called once again and no call back. I called and told them that I was going to make a complaint to the ComplaintsBoard.com and contact the news. I got a call back in five minutes from the manager, and she said that she never received any emails or messages. She asked us to send them directly to her and gave us her email address. She said that she would check the paperwork and compare, Apples to Apples to see if they compare on products. We sent them to her twice and i have left two messages for her to call us, no call backs at all. I have now submitted three copies of the paperwork to wire nut and made numerous attempts to contact the manager. I will not waste anymore of my time trying to contact a business that does not care that they have taken advantage of a disabled person on a retirement that should be entitled to a price match refund or at least some money back for a less then professional installation and a job that was done wrong the first time. had wire nut come to perform a cleaning of coil on heater furnace. Was quoted for a 4 hour cleaning job and was done in a half hour. Technician said it was properly cleaned with other technicians said it was not according to the cleaning guidelines procedure.Furnance is still not properly working. Got a run around from technician and supervisors saying that furnace is not properly set up yet was working for 16 years. Technicians from other company told me my furnace is mechanical sound and that they only could think of was that the coil needed servicing and cleaning which wire nut did not properly do and was overcharged.

I have used The WireNut on several occasions since 2015. I have spent $40,000 on two different properties I own. Most recently I had an electrical panel and air conditioner installed at my rental property. The temperature at the time of installation was too cold to charge the system. This week I had an appointment with them on Tuesday from 1-4 that they had to re-schedule to Thursday from 1-4. They were a no show, no call. I called them and re-scheduled for Friday at 8-10. So far, no call no show. I left three messages this morning and no response. Seems their service level has gone way down and effectively cost me at least $800 in lost productivity. I am self employed and not paid for lost time. I simply want to product completed that I have spent multiple thousands of dollars on.

On that basis I authorized the work. However, when the technician arrived on December 17, I was told that the fee had been jacked up to $185.25, payable in advance. Since I had to have the work done, I paid it by check, but refused the technician's demand that I e-sign an acceptance on the job. My 3 attempts to contact Wire Nut for a refund of the excess $116.00, have been unsuccessful, reaching someone named Tanya who only curtly refused, claiming the $116 was for "Electrical General Task L1," to secure a 1-year warranty, as is stated on their invoice but which seems like an unexpected way of doing business for a firm claiming A+ ComplaintsBoard.com status.

Hired for an electrical upgrade necessary for a major remodel
Hired for an electrical upgrade necessary for a major remodel. One electrician, John, was assigned to the job initially. He rerouted the wiring and set up new outlets and then was fired. The new electricians that were assigned to the job had to finish without being familiar with John's work and therefore had to finish the job after drywall had been hung. This resulted in much unnecessary damage to new drywall. In addition, recessed lighting was placed in wrong location based on cabinet template by John. It was then repaired incorrectly by the subsequent electrician, requiring a $1500 repair, which wirenut refused to address. They used paint sticks to mount the recessed lights. They left trash in the attic and crawl space. They left unrepairable damage to new floors. They left multiple areas of drywall and cabinet damage. Pictures can be provided.

Last week, I informed Wirenut Service to cancel my annual membership, which was honored. I was supposed to get 100 dollars back, because that was how much the annual membership costs, as I had no plan to use Wirenut service ever again, because of the high costs for the service. I had Wirenut service do my furnace tune-up, which costed me 49 dollars. I had a coupon for 49 dollars service from Wirenut. I used it, and wrote a check for 100 plus 49.00 dollars. The Wirenut accounting department stated that I did not pay the tune-up separately from the memberships, so they are charging me the tune-up service for 79 dollars and reimbursing me 68 dollars of my membership. First of all, I was never informed to make out two checks, so I am being penalized for this. Secondly, I am deaf, so communication is limited. My mom tried to explain everything, but she is not certified interpreter.

The HVAC system that I got does not regulate. I was promised the new system would cool down my entire house which it does not. My basement and main level of my house are extremely cold but then my upstairs is extremely hot. I have even closed the vents downstairs so the cold air would go upstairs and it is still too hot. During the winter, you have to make a decision if you should use the heater or not because the heater will then warm downstairs but upstairs will still be extremely too hot. Even with a new system, we have to use portable ac systems in each room during the summer and winter. I also chose to get a new water heater with the system and it leaks and is corroded. I have called the business multiple times and they hardly answer the phone and when they do answer the phone they are rude and try to set up an appointment for weeks out. They never return calls either. When a technician is sent out, they send the same guy stating that nothing is wrong with the system.

Date of Service 07/30. $2400.00 total paid. Work done that day $938.60. Deposit for work to be done $1461.40. The company came to install smoke detectors which was what they were called to do. The technician asked to check other electrical which was agreed upon. The technician then said the Electrical panel was out of code so out of fear for fire the panel was agreed upon. The company was called the next day Sat. to cancel the panel repair then again on Mon. Wirenut is wanting to keep the $1461.40 saying that they have a 15% est fee non refundable. When the $2400.00 was paid the only paperwork received from Wirenut was a advertisement paper with the est and work done on the back hand written. The only signature that was given was on a ipad for the charge with no information of the 15%. My cousin is a elderly senior citizen and i believe Wirenut is taking advantage of him. Wirenut has called several times and was very rude and bulling to my cousin on pmt. Want final amt due

Always on hold and goes to voicemail. Project Manager doesn't know anything until I do the work, talk directly to dispatch, get answers, talk to one person, they don't inform anyone else, I wait for weeks, project manager just gets weepy and says she doesn't know what to do, I talk to permitting, I forward them response from senior planner, wirenut increases cost after I have signed off TWICE, I tell them I have no more money. Period. Their response is oh okay we'll work that out - we'll do it for the latest bid - this after they told me we will not raise the price again - we promise. They get different answers on permitting and the just sit on it until I threaten to go elsewhere. Then they're all oh what can we do? And I get one more answer. I was super patient. I trusted them. They just fiddlefart and ask for more money. Enough. AND THEN they want me to give them a good review. I told them to do the work and then I'll write a review. Otherwise I'm going to say something ugly.

Hired Wire Nut to put in a ceiling fan in our living room they came out and checked it out came back the next day and put it in there where it is completely wrong I had to come out again couple days ago and fix the ceiling fan but now all of the wall outlets on the north side of our house dont work I called them they said that the technician can come back out in about a week which was pretty disgusting Not to have electricity in our living room and bedroom for over a week. Just had my ducts cleaned. Wow..my ducts look amazing. I got to see photos.My home was a prior rental and I had another company here last year that didn't provide photos, didn't go into the crawl space where the furance is and could only vacuum so far in. I was quoted almost $2900 to replace a water heater that was still under warrantee. The service professional explained the total was due to code violations and needing 5 - 6 hrs of work to do the job. When asked how its so expensive with a warranty, he explained that the $2900 was after applying a standard 20% discount they use when a water heater is covered.Confused on how the price added up, I decided to contact one last company. With under 1 hour of work, the owner replaced the water heater with a total cost of $500 to cover labor, tax, permits and disposal. He explained there were no code violations and that it was a simple job - stating the other quotes were criminal. The city inspector also confirmed that there were no violations. WireNut retained 15% of their criminal quote, keeping almost $500 of my hard earned money. Shame on Wire Nut for having a cancellation fee just as much as the total cost to fix my issue.
