My technician Michael was very knowledgeable about the city codes and actually pulled permits
My technician Michael was very knowledgeable about the city codes and actually pulled permits. I had another quote from another company that I decided they were cutting corners, but Benjamin Franklin was the right fit for our situation. They were very helpful with the financing in which the process was as easy as a few clicks. Overall experience was excellent and would use them again.

Used Ben's Plumbing for the first time a year ago
Used Ben's Plumbing for the first time a year ago. He did excellent quality work on several plumbing jobs I needed done. So, made it a point to request Ben again for some new faucets to be installed. He did not disappoint, with another outstanding job well done! Ben's Plumbing seems to be a little more expensive than others, but you get what you pay for. They are worth it!

Damon was prompt
Damon was prompt. Caring and thorough during the water emergency. He is competent and explained in detail the issue and solution. It is a long (2week) freeze catastrophe and he was caring and really went out of his way to expidite the situation. I would recommend Benjamin Franklin Plumbing without reservation. I have used them for my plumbing needs for 17 years for my 1944 home. It has given me a sense of security and always a job well done!

Benjamin Franklin Plumbing in Mansfield are crooks
Benjamin Franklin Plumbing in Mansfield are crooks. I paid them $10,000 to change out the lines outside to the curb. That did not fix the problem with the toilet. The toilet still had the same issues. I called them to come out again and they said they would need $43,999 to change out the lines under the house. I told them I can't afford that. Too much money. No no one will call me back. I think they should refund the $10,000 that I spent for nothing. No one will call me back."

Alie did an outstanding job!
Alie did an outstanding job! He represents Benjamin Franklin very well, and we are likely to ask for him specifically in future. As he worked thru detecting the leak, he explained what he was doing and what our options were for repairs. Thankfully, the cause was relatively easy to fix, but he did give us estimates for a couple of future projects, too. Very happy to have called Benjamin Franklin, and very glad to have had such friendly, knowledgeable and professional help to find and resolve our problem!

No one wants to hear that a complete replacement of plumbing is needed
No one wants to hear that a complete replacement of plumbing is needed. It was necessary, and I have to say from my interactions with Alie Joseph getting the process started to the hard work of John *** and Ole *** I could not have been more pleased. Each was informative, educational, respectful, and very nice individuals. It was a massive job, involving being under the house (not pier and beam) over the course of a couple weeks. They did great. I know that each of them takes pride in what they do and sees his work as a true service. I am very happy to have worked with these men and others who assisted them at various stages of the project.

Pauline M - Joshua N with Benjamin Franklin Plumbing arrived on time looked the problem over and explained how he planned to replace the faucet on the old sink in our shop. He also suggested we purchase the faucet ourselves saving us some money and he even took the time to show us the one to get on his I Pad. The faucet we purchased wouldn't work and rather than having us return to the store he insisted he could make it work. Nick apparently likes a challenge and he tackled this job and didn't quit until he was satisfied it was the going to please us. It was not an easy fix and we are supper pleased with the finished product. Nick takes pride in his work and is a fine representative of your company.

So, the water heater went out the other day
So, the water heater went out the other day. I checked Home Advisor since we had never hired a plumber before. Whitney with Ben Franklin Plumbing in Arlington reached out to us immediately. Out came Chris who helped us decide on the type of heater most appropriate for our home. We also had a small issue with the guest shower and that got thrown into the scope of work. Once we signed on the dotted line, out came technicians Chris and Brett. They quickly and efficiently went to work on the heater. Then went to change out the charger on the shower. Unfortunately the previous one was installed incorrectly and the mess resulted in a lot of work and man time. Upshot of all this is the bill was exactly what we were quoted despite the unexpected problems. This company exemplifies ethical, customer centered service. They hire polite friendly team members. Our thanks to all for a job well done! ?

UPDATE: Manager insisted on explaining his company's ethical practices in defense.
UPDATE: Manager called me, insisting on explaining his company's ethical practices in defense. If possible to give negative ratings, I would. They're swindlers, avoid their services. End Update. I had a slow flushing toilet and called for service. The professional who arrived quoted $180 for a fix, warning that failure might lead to a $680 charge for further work. After unsuccessful augering, he wanted payment for both attempts. I paid $180 and dismissed him. They exploited me. Other plumbers would charge by the hour and ensure completion. Don't call these guys unless you want to be exploited. For your information, I bought a 6 ft auger for $70 and fixed the flush myself.

On Nov/08, I purchased a "Tankless Heater" and "Water Softener Unit" by this company (Total cost was $11,500)
On Nov/08, I purchased a "Tankless Heater" and "Water Softener Unit" by this company (Total cost was $11,500). After completion of the unit installations, the chief installer (David K) had told me, "Make sure to call in the 5th year for "descaling". When I called the company for this work "specifically", the scheduler (female) set the date and time (2-5 PM). For that day, I waited and a technician came but he was not a technician for that job. My afternoon was wasted waiting for the right technician. The right technicians came on 6/10 (one for the Tankless Heater and the other for the Water Softener unit). The technician for the Water Softener told me, "This is not a Water Softener. This is a Water Conditioner which is not necessary for your type of water." This was a big surprise for me. After the installation five years ago, I specifically had asked the chief installer, "I don't have to place any salt pallets to the unit for this one?" He had replied to me, "No, mom. It does not need any salt at all." I was also told by the correct technician, "You are not the only one who had a wrong unit installed..." Gee, I thought the "Benjamin Franklin" was a trustworthy company... big surprise to me!. I have all the paperwork related to the installations for these units. I want this wrong unit installed by them to the right unit of "Water Softener" not a "Water Conditioner". Also, after the descaling on the Tankless Heater (cost was $285) , on 06/14 around 3PM there was a severe rain-fall in my area (3***), the "floodwater" alarm system started Beeping; I called Benjamin Franklin and was told "change the batteries" to solve this problem." But it did not. After changing the batteries I found some water leaking through the duct/piping. I am not sure how it happened. I experience many severe rainfalls but never any water leaks there at all... I want them to come out to check this as well. But the receptionist told it will cost $65 for travelling fee... Gee...

Chris F*** from Benjamin Franklin Plumbing (***, Mansfield, TX 76063) is probably the best plumber I’ve ever had work
Chris F from Benjamin Franklin Plumbing (***, Mansfield, TX 76063) is probably the best plumber I’ve ever had work at my home. In record time, he had my system unblocked! He also somehow recognized my 18-yr "problem bathroom" without my mentioning it (?). Chris then ASKED to go under the house. He found cracked cast iron & "wavy, dipping PVC from the "bad" bathroom & recommended a total sewer overhaul with a 10-yr warranty, which included replacing all the cast iron under my pier-and-beam house with PVC, straightening out dipping/waving PVC, changing 2 wall-mount toilets to floor mounted toilets and a installing a pressure assisted toilet and tunneling under the foundation to the cast iron areas. He said it could take up to 9 days. He also recommended that I get a significant refund from the cleanout performed by Ben Franklin the previous month as it did not meet their company’s standards. He charged nothing for his cleanout and diagnostic work for the day. I agreed to have Ben Franklin, under his supervision, redo the sewage system—a very expensive project for me, but one I knew from the history of my plumbing problems, was very important and hopefully, my home and I would be in good hands. Next, I learned that Chris was also an EXTREMELY effective supervisor, & he assembled a GREAT team to begin work that same day for the sewer overhaul project. On the 5th day, my new system passed inspection! I do believe I had as good or better plumbers, supervisor, work plan, & tunnel diggers to be found anywhere! Everything he said came to pass. He kept his word with me and was very respectful to me and my home. Even my yard outside where a man-sized tunnel was dug was put back together without even noticing they previously had piles of dirt in my yard. I am very thankful to Chris for taking the initiative to really diagnose my long-term sewer problems under my house (and with my toilets) and fix them! He is a rare Jewel, a man of his word, someone who does things right and treats his customer as he would want himself or his family to be treated!

I tried to take advantage of a recent offer I'd heard on the radio, "$79 drain cleaning with a camera inspection
I tried to take advantage of a recent offer I'd heard on the radio, "$79 drain cleaning with a camera inspection." I called the Mansfield office and was told by the person answering that the deal was "only outside the home and the camera would be used only if the clog wasn't cleared". I informed her that my issue was a tub drain but was told again about the offer restrictions and I should go ahead and book an appointment because "they fill up fast". I declined. After thinking about it a few days and hearing the commercial many, many times more, I called back to get a corporate number so I could file a more official complaint. The woman who answered seemed much more concerned about the issue and asked a lot of questions. I told her I thought they were, at best, being dishonest in their advertising and at worst using a bait and switch tactic. I also informed her I'd be filing complaints to the appropriate entities if necessary. I was placed on hold several times while she looked for the corporate phone number (seemed odd that it wasn't more readily available) and tried to get in touch with their dispatch(?). Eventually I was told the complaint would be forwarded to their general manager and I'd hear from him. I received a call from the Vice President, ***, that afternoon but was unable to take the call. I recognized both her name and voice from the commercial in question. I called back that afternoon but she'd already left the office. I called the next morning and spoke with her. It was obvious from the get-go that she had no intention of reaching a satisfactory compromise. She stated the offer had "conditions that applied" and if I had looked at the webpage, social media, TV commercials, and valpak offers I'd have known that.. I told her that was not responsibility. My call to action was the radio commercial and it does not state "that conditions apply". SHE AGREED, AND STATED IN THE FUTURE THAT THAT LANGUAGE WOULD BE ADDED TO THE COMMERCIAL. She also stated the ad had been running for many years (I've never seen/heard it) and I was the only person to complain. I'm not sure that is relevant or true. I also mentioned that the clean-out outside the home was usually called a sewer line or a main line and the offer says "drain". She disagreed, and said she'd been in plumbing for 20 years. Then she stated they couldn't offer a drain cleaning and camera inspection for that price. I wanted to know why offer it if you have no intention of fulfilling it. Again, I believe the ad is dishonest and that they are employing a bait and switch tactic. Once you call, you realize they don't intend to live up to the offer they advertised

The guy from Benjamin Franklin Plumbing gave us a price of $12,000 to put PEX water pipes in our crib
The guy from Benjamin Franklin Plumbing gave us a price of $12,000 to put PEX water pipes in our crib. But right before they finished the job, he springs on us that the city needs an electrician to check out our pad. And guess who's gotta pay for it? Yep, us, the customers. So I looked it up and turns out this city rule has been around for like 15 years! We think since they quoted us a price that included everything, and this electrician thing ain't new, they should stick to their word and cover the cost. It seems like the sales guy didn't know what he was talking about and now he wants us to pay for his mistake. Not cool, man.
I had this company come out to my house for a not free estimate to fix a leak from under the house
I had this company come out to my house for a not free estimate to fix a leak from under the house. I told them not to mess up my floors and fix the leak from underneath since it's Pier and Beam. They charged me $1880 and said they'd come back with a special technician because they had to fix it from outside. The next day they came late and I left for them to finish. After 4 hours, still no call from them, so I checked my ring doorbell and heard the tech saying there was no leak and couldn't fix anything. I came home, still no call from the company, and they messed up my concrete slab and stuffed the trash under the house. I went inside and there's a big hole in my new wooden floors. And they haven't contacted me and nothing got fixed!
On September 21, we had a leak with a new water heater my husband installed and contacted Benjamin Franklin Plumbing for help
On September 21, we had a leak with a new water heater my husband installed and contacted Benjamin Franklin Plumbing for help. A guy named *** came to my house. He came without tools and expected me to go get what he needed. He was also on his phone reading emails and swearing while he was "working" in my house. He basically turned off my water and charged me $409.00. We had another plumber come later to fix what Mr. couldn't or wouldn't do. He found out that our new water heater, which was leaking, was a NATURAL GAS water heater instead of PROPANE, which is what we needed. I would think that Mr., a plumber, would have noticed that my husband installed the wrong kind of water heater. The wrong water heater was the only reason for the leak. Lastly, Mr. kept telling me how bad the damage was and tried multiple times to get me on the phone with his "friend" who does repairs. I said no because it seemed really suspicious to me (our damage wasn't that bad). I contacted Benjamin Franklin multiple times to talk to a manager and explain my concerns and complaints to different people. Finally, I got a phone message from "***" the manager. I tried calling back many times, but he was never available. I asked him to call me, but I haven't heard anything. I don't think we should have to pay for this since Mr. couldn't figure out where the leak was coming from (wrong water heater).
