I have now been caught out twice by incorrect labelling of items "on special".
Last week I bought a woolworths christmas ham which had a label under the item which advertised $10 off total price of ham. At the check out - no discount because it was on "the other woolworth ham"
This week, my son picked up a rexona deodorant. Label under the product advertised the product as being $4.80, charged fill price of $8 at the check out because the reduced price was on rexona plain deodorant not the rexona sports deodorant.
I realise that the details are in the fine print, but who has the time to read the fine print. One would expect the "special discount" tags to be placed under the corresponding products. I'm hoping this was just an oversight, possibly by new, or seasonal casual, staff and not a ploy by woolworths to increase it's profit margin - as a regular woolworths shopper I am now $13.20 out of pocket, and not too happy.
