My Father made two transfers from Australia to Tanzania on the 31st of August.
The funds were required in Tanzania urgently for a very specific purpose.
After approximately 7 days the funds had not arrived.
He was then asked to provide more information (a LARGE amount of supporting information).
After providing all of the required information we received no feedback.
It is now 25th of September, still we have not received any feedback and the transfers have still not gone through.
After making multiple calls to Worldremit, each time spending approximately 1hour+ on the line waiting for the call to be answered and each time being told that the case will be escalated we are none the wiser.
The amounts involved are not small. The inconvenience caused by Worldremit over the very poor handling of this matter is huge.
The help process is opaque, disjointed, and in fact no help at all.
We are now in the position of having nowhere to turn for information on WHERE OUR FUNDS ARE.
We made legitimate transfers. We provided Worldremit with every single item of supporting documentation asked for, all to no avail.
Where do we turn now to ascertain the whereabouts of our funds.
No online chat. No case officer to speak with. Customer service takes more than 1 hr to answer and then provide generic information ?.
Disgusting behaviour. Worldremit should be ashamed of themselves. A heartless organisation.
Who is actually handling this case?.
Why is it taking them so long?.
How do we get acurate and honest information on what is happening?.
The transfers were made from Australia. we have been told that the UK office is reviewing this case.

Desired outcome: Ideally the transfers would be paid out to the intended party in Tanzania.Alternatively, transfers cancelled, and funds returned as a matter of urgency.
