On May 5, 2023, I had purchased a ticket through MMT Gofirst, but the flight was canceled due to operational reasons. At the time of purchase, I had also purchased an Xcover travel insurance policy, and I had asked Xcover to pay the additional fare charges I would have had to pay for a new flight reservation. However, Xcover flatly refused to pay the additional fare charges. then what use does it serve to buy travel insurance?
Desired outcome: The additional fare costs that the consumer paid should be covered by Xcover.If not so I could say that no need to buy Xcover policy
I totally agree, what is the purpose? They denied my claim, flight was delayed causing us to miss our connecting flight and no other flight for at least 24 hours. We had to cancel entire trip, they refused to pay $386 for other ticket. It's like a scam when it comes to travel insurance. It's such a tricky industry and Xcover ain't covering anything. I will NEVER use them. I had more than enough documents from airline and the crazy part is the airline refunded their portion but Xcover denied the other airline. Scam insurance.
