Very trustworth company with grate customer service
Very trustworth company with grate customer service. We needed to remodel our bathroom and we were lucky to found this contractor because they did a grate job. They finished the bathroom on time, the price was very acceptable and we are more than satisfied with the new bathroom. We have some other construction works in plan for our house and this company will be our first choice.
We got great service from this company
We got great service from this company. It was a really smooth experience! Everything was easy to set up and the price was right. Communication was good all the way. All the employees I talked to knew what they were doing and were super helpful and friendly. They worked fast, were really careful, and made things easy for us. Thanks for making our decision painless!
Ybarra Professional Builders did a great job on my recent remodel project
Ybarra Professional Builders did a great job on my recent remodel project. Benjamin and his team were amazing. Friendly, efficient - and careful. They were great throughout the whole process. Got us the cheapest quote when we were getting really high ones from other companies. Responded to all our questions quickly. The team was awesome and easy to work with! I highly recommend these guys.
They did a phenomenal job on my home
They did a phenomenal job on my home. The windows were just the way they said they would come out, and my deck came out perfect. But my favorite part of it all were the pavers they did. They came out better than expected, even though it took 2 more weeks than originally expected. Only because I specifically wanted everything to be perfect and chose custom windows and shortages on material from their suppliers. But overall, had a great experience. Can't complain with the finished result.

Ybarra Professional Builders totally messed up our hardwood floors, they even used our Dyson vacuum to clean up THEIR mess
Ybarra Professional Builders totally messed up our hardwood floors, they even used our Dyson vacuum to clean up THEIR mess. And guess what? They left hardened polyurethane on our kitchen countertops and down the slate stairwell of the front door! Can you believe it? They sent over a manager who was so rude and didn't care about our complaints at all. They messed up every single inch of the flooring and left grooves from the sander all over the place. And you know what's even worse? They don't want to take responsibility and fix it. I wouldn't let them step foot in our house ever again. I strongly advise you to never let them in your house either.
My main contacts at Ybarra Professional Builders have been disappointing throughout my experience.
The representatives at Ybarra Professional Builders have been my main point of contact throughout my experience with this company. Unfortunately, when it came time to finish the kitchen as part of our agreed-upon contract, they fell short. It's been quite a process trying to get someone over to my house to complete the job, and after much back and forth, we reached an agreement. They offered me a refund of $500 and assured me they wouldn't bother me anymore about finishing the kitchen. However, it's been about two months now, and despite my attempts to reach out via text and phone calls, they haven't sent me my refund. This whole situation has left a sour taste in my mouth, and I definitely won't be recommending this company to anyone in the future. Their customer service leaves much to be desired.
I hired Ybarra Professional Builders to paint my house and repair the siding on the chimney
I hired Ybarra Professional Builders to paint my house and repair the siding on the chimney. The contract stated that the job would involve extensive preparation, such as removing the existing paint and eliminating caulk lines. The total cost of the project was $33,792. However, I believe that I was deceived in order to increase the cost. The painter, who was a subcontractor, informed me that the proposed actions would cause damage. When I questioned the project manager about this, he refused to acknowledge the issue and instead mentioned that they would paint the shed (9x12), which was not included in the original contract. Despite this, the painter proceeded to paint the house, which is 1700 square feet including the shed, and repaired only 5 sheets (22x12) of siding on the chimney. I sent certified letters to both the Oregon and California offices of Ybarra Professional Builders, but I received no response.

On 12/05/22, Ybarra Professional Builders, License #***, from Mountlake Terrace, WA started work on my master bathroom remodel
On 12/05/22, Ybarra Professional Builders, License #***, from Mountlake Terrace, WA started work on my master bathroom remodel. The owner, Tom, said it would take 3 weeks and be done by 12/25/22, according to the contract. I've paid them 3 out of 4 payments, totaling $28,710. It's been 3 months now and the project still isn't finished. They haven't communicated well and have made a lot of mistakes during the construction. I've tried contacting them multiple times, but they haven't responded in a timely manner or shown much effort to complete my project. My living space is a mess and I'm running out of patience. I really need them to finish my project quickly.
I paid Home Advisor $350 for landscaping referrals
I paid Home Advisor $350 for landscaping referrals. Ybarra Professional Builders called me shortly after. I booked them and Home Advisor credited my money back because I did so. The landscaping company that showed up is not the one I hired. They subcontracted out to a yard cutting company that consists of two people with a pickup and trailer. That company is S & S Landscaping. I can’t find a website or any info on them. This is a $100k job. They had a semi back onto my asphalt driveway that now needs repair. The semi trailer slips and breaks my pasture fence. I board horses. They have no equipment to offload the semi. I was told this job would be done at the end of April when I booked on 23 Mar. They’re still here. I was told they could get it done and they would send double crews, I asked when if my price would reflect a reduction because there’s only two. Still promised double crews. Only 2 show. They are renting every rinky sink piece of machinery from Home Depot. They show up and leave whenever they want. I voice my complaints. I was told it doesn’t matter if it’s another company. The job will get done. That’s all I should be worried about. I have pics if you need them. I feel like it’s false advertisement…like a bait and switch.

High pressure sales pitch, was pushed to pay a huge amount upfront, promised work would be done within 2 weeks, 4-6 weeks with a permit, pressured to not get a permit but I said I wanted one from the start... Many months later and I have holes in my walls, paint splatters and dusty white stains on my black tile that won't come out no matter how much I scrub, trash in my yard, countless days woken up early and trapped in a room with my cats waiting for the guys to show up, realizing they left without telling me, wondering if they're coming back. Texting and calling and being told to relax and be patient. Them blaming the city for being slow with permits and inspections, and me for wanting those things. They should have had the permit in hand before starting work. I feel I've been robbed, my home has been made to look significantly worse, I lost the use of one of my bathrooms, my time has been stolen, and my mental and emotional health has been harmed. What a nightmare. I am too exhausted to list every mistake and lack of communication / professionalism but there have been so many. Doorknobs put in upside-down and backwards, wrong paint colors used. Sloppy, uneven work on stuff like drywall and paint to where I am struggling to trust them to move forward with the project to the point of installing tile. Every day I weigh the benefits of firing them and being done with them versus the downsides of finding a new contractor and paying them to fix everything ybarra damaged and did wrong. I feel at this point they should refund everything I have paid, and pay the cost of hiring a new contractor to do the job right.
I hired Ybarra Professional Builders to remodel my bathroom
I hired Ybarra Professional Builders to remodel my bathroom. They said it would be done in 4 weeks and meet all standards. They gave me a list of materials to order and asked me to have them on site before starting. The crew arrived on April 8 after a few walkthroughs and explanations. They finished the work 6 weeks later, but there were many delays, material shortages, and concerns about the quality of the work. The project manager assured me it would be great once finished. However, when the crew left, I was shocked by the results. There were so many issues that I had to make a 3-page list of things that needed to be fixed. The shower, toilet, and sink all leaked. The tiles were chipped and misplaced, and the grout lines were terrible. The grout color was inconsistent, and it started chipping away. Some floor tiles were loose, and in some areas, there was no grout at all. The crew rarely cleaned up after themselves and only put down floor covering when I asked them to. They left an unfinished outlet in the closet and made a mess with spray texture. It's now July 1st, and while the tile work has improved, the grout still has inconsistent color and thickness, which is noticeable. The valve under the sink that leaked was pushed back into the drywall and left to dry. When I checked last night, they had drywalled around it, but it's still embedded in the wall. Today, they told me it will be fine once they spray texture it, but it's still not fixed. It's been 10 weeks without being able to use my primary bathroom, and I am 100% dissatisfied with the company, its representation, and the work they did. I doubt the workers are licensed and bonded, and they clearly lack proper training in their field.
I asked Ybarra Professional Builders to remodel my bathroom
I asked Ybarra Professional Builders to remodel my bathroom. They gave me a quote that seemed clear at the time. I mentioned that if the inspector looked closely, he might find issues with my electric plugs, which led to another quote. During our discussion, we talked about financing both the bathroom remodel and the HOA requirement before starting the job. However, once the work began, every day brought new problems that seemed catastrophic. They would then pressure me for two hours each day to spend more money. The loan payments turned out to be twice as high as they initially presented, but they still insisted on more money. It was worse than any used car sales pitch I've ever experienced.
They promised the work would be completed in 8 days, but it has now been 4 weeks. We did experience a few delays due to a plumbing part, but they also stopped working on my electrical, leaving me without a dishwasher and garbage disposal. This meant I had to go without a functional kitchen sink for over a week, as the water kept getting clogged even with the sink filter in place. They finally picked up the valve on Tuesday after it arrived on Thursday. They tore down my tub, shower, and walls but then stopped working.
The stucco wrap had deteriorated over 75 years, and they tried to push me into paying for mold remediation without any testing. They spent two hours pressuring me, but when I looked up the price guidelines, I found that their quote for just the bathroom was four times higher than the typical rate for a whole house. They did send a mold test company, which showed some elevated mold presence that could be fixed through abrasion, treatment, and sealing. I ordered my own testing, and the results showed less mold but still recommended the same remediation. A few hours of cleanup were covered by the original quote, which referred to replacing a defective structure item (they initially quoted $8,500 for this).
Since July 7th, I have been without a bath or shower (it is now July 15th). The job started in mid-June. I provided the hardware, tub, tile, and finish plumbing for the bathroom, so the total cost for the bathroom and electrical work is just under $40,000. If I agreed to their add-ons, it would be an additional $88,000. Because they didn't wait for HOA approval as requested at the beginning, the HOA's guidance for equipment placement will now add $2,500 to $7,500 more to the project. If they decide to impose the standard noncompliance fine of $100 per day, the cost will increase even further.
