Yellow Cab lazy and illegal parking

I dont know which office this ### cab driver worked out of, I cant get any answers when I call the offices and I have never gotten any responses to my emails about thier violent, lunatic drivers...

I was out shopping on 11/19/12, and stopped at the local dollar store. After I got out, I noticed a Yellow Taxi mini van parked in a handicapped space WITHOUT any handicapped tags of any kind. Handicapped taxis are supposed to have that blue wheelchair emblem on the vehicle, This one did not! But this ### was parked in a handicapped space non-the-less.

I waited to see who came out to drive this thing. I should have known...there was this lazy, dirty, fitlthy, stinky man in the dollar store following me around, which is why I left it. This [censored] was SO damned lazy, he couldnt even be bothered to pick up his feet when he walked, he DRAGGED his feet under him like sacks of garbage...which is what he smelled like! He was dressed like he went shopping in a homeless mans trashcan.

AND THIS IS A "PROFESSIONAL" DRIVER?!?
I DONT think so!

Anyway, this jerk was SO lazy, he couldnt even be bothered to park in a LEGAL space, he illegally parked in a handicapped space!

For some reason, Yellow Cab hires the MOST violent, dangerous, vicious, destructive, and filthy ### they can to drive thier vehicles! Are they SO hard up they hire any trash that walks in off the street?

Youre takling your life into your own hands when you get into a taxi. They arent the nice, reliable, safe people/drivers that were around when I was young.

Id be scared of catching some disease from THESE cabs! GROSS!

Yellow Cab robbed

I was picked up curb side at San Francisco airport heading to Hotel Whitcomb, downtown. My cab driver put my suite case and duty free bag in the trunk and we started off. When we arrived at the hotel I did not exit the cab right away, as I was fillin out a three part credit card statement because the cab drivers card reader was broke. The cab driver placed my luggage curb side as I filled out the statement, or so I thought! I handed him the copy and exited the cab to collect my things, that's when I noticed that my duty free bag was not sitting with my luggage. I turned back to the cab just in time to watch it speed off...I was robbed! I have contacted Yellow Cab twice, both times being transferred to the "Lost & Found" voicemail box. I filed an official lost and found request via their website, and even filled out a "Service Issue form" as from their website. It has been 5 hours since is was dropped off and nobody has returned any of my correspondence. I am starting to get that sinking feeling that Yellow Cab customer service is a black hole for which complaints or duty free bags never return! I have a new slogan suggestion: "Yellow Cab, yep we're still dirtbags"

Yellow Cab mini van #758 on Grapevine Mills Parkway, Grapevine, Texas 9:40am on 9/22/12. This LUNATIC driver was RUNNING red lights, SPEEDING through stop signs, SWERVING in and out of lanes all over the place, and didnt even stop until he got TWO INCHES from my rear bumper!!! Then, when the light turned green and I went through, he was STILL on my rear...

Yellow Cab rude driver

I was on my bicycle this morning when I was almost run over by a crazy cab driver. We were at an intersection in the middle of a residential neighborhood and I although I had the right of way (he had a stop sign), I waited until I knew he saw me before proceeding through the intersection. Despite this fact, he accelerated towards me either in an attempt to hit me, or scare me. When I raised one hand as if to say, "What's up?", he stuck his head out the window and shouted, "GO! GO! GO!". I turned my bike around to get his cab information and from that point he led me through a wild chase through the neighborhood. Although he thought he had lost me, I located him and was able to take the attached picture with my phone. I was also able to get the phone number of the company (Yellow Cab [protected]) and his vehicle number (#6166). My best guess of when the incident occurred is approximately 6:15 or 6:20 as the picture indicates that it was taken at 6:27. If you are with Yellow Cab and want to verify my information, the driver arrived at his destination shortly before I took the picture and the home is located on the west side of Kenyon Avenue just north of 80th Street in the Kentwood neighborhood in city of Westchester (near LAX).

I am the writer of the complaint and wanted to make a correction. The area code shown on the cab was 424, not 310. Therefore, the correct number is: [protected].

I had a terrible experience with a yellow cab driver awhile back, and just had another crazy yellow cabbie last weekend with a good friend of mine! We were out with some friends downtown and my friend had a bit too much to drink, so we called a cab to be safe. The plan was to take him home, then ride the cab back to my car. Sounds easy enough huh? I could have put him in the cab alone, but he was pretty drunk and I really just wanted to watch out for him. So here we are almost halfway home my friend told me he felt sick, so I asked the yellow cab driver to pull over. There was nobody on the road, it wasn’t a freeway or anything dangerous, and it was late…so what’s the harm?

Still the cab driver didn’t pull over, how crazy is that? He said he didn’t have time to stop and that we were almost there. Well we were more than ten miles from his place, so I asked him again to please pull over and my friend was feeling sick but he wouldn’t! Can you guess what happened next haha? My friend threw up in the back seat of the yellow cab, guess who pulled over now…yeah the cab driver pulled over, and all it took was my friend doing exactly what I was telling him was going to happen. He told us to get out, and demanded 100 dollars for the damage to the cab. I didn’t have that much cash so he ran my card for the $100, then threw another $100 on it for the fare. THEN HE LEFT US BY THE SIDE OF THE ROAD! I had to call a friend downtown and he had to come get us at 1am by the side of the road. Are you kidding me?

Then I found this story online of another fun yellow cab experience…

I went to a baseball game, at a ballpark a half hour drive or so from my school. I missed the last bus, so I had to call a cab. No worries. My parents had put fifty bucks on a prepaid Yellow Cab card. I called both that city and mine to make sure it’d be accepted. They all said yeah. Then the cab driver called his dispatch and they said yeah. So we get to my school and he calls again and they say no, those cards aren’t accepted for that city’s cabs! I don’t have the fifty six dollars in cash (that’s how much it cost, and that’s only because he left the meter running while he called the second time). I call the company and they say they can refund me, but I’ll have to call Monday. I tell the driver the situation ask if I can send a money order, and he gives me his address and agrees to the money order.

Friday comes and he calls me THREE TIMES while I’m in class, and leaves TWO VOICEMAILS. I call him back, and tell him that the cab company has to call me back, and I’ll get back to him. He calls me again, I answer. And then a FIFTH time. I answer. Monday comes, and when I get out of class, there are TWO missed calls and a voicemail from him. I call Yellow Cab and they tell me they cut checks on Fridays, so they’ll drop my check in the mail then. Before I can call the driver and tell him this, he calls me a THIRD time, and I tell him the situation. He tells me that he needs the money sooner, because he has to pay his lease for his cab then. I tell him I’m going to see what I can do, and that I’ll call him back as soon as possible. I call my mom as soon as I hang up with him, and within two minutes of our conversation, he calls me a FOURTH and FIFTH time, and then a SIXTH, SEVENTH and EIGHTH time, and leaves a voicemail. He comes down to my school and calls the police, but I’ve already gone to the security office. The police say I’m in no trouble, because of the miscommunication with the prepaid card. I get the money, give it to the police and they give it to this disgusting excuse for a human being driver.

So needless to say, if you got tons of cash, and you are a robot who never has any real life situations, then by all means go yellow cab. However, if you want somebody that understands corporate policy, who understands english, and can recite the rules, stay away from this cab company. You might as well be in a 3rd world country!

Yellow Cab rude, yelling driver - yellow cab company

I was put into a situation today where I had to take a cab home and my only method of paying was with my debit card. All the cabs here are set up very nice and have a card machine, so I wasn't worried about it at all. When my ride was over and it was time to pay, I took out my card and the driver immediately had an attitude and started fussing at me raising his voice about how he doesn't understand why ladies don't carry cash. I chose to ignore him and decided right then he was getting a tip. When the receipt printed and he saw that I didn't give him a tip, he literally goes off on me about how its the law to give a 30 percent tip. I was so pissed that I went back off on him and I told him that the cabs have the card machines so people can pay with a card if they so chose, and that he's acting like I'm deliberately paying with my card to piss him off and why would I even think of giving him a tip if he's treating me with such disrespect. I told him no law can make me tip someone if I'm not happy with the service. At this point he is yelling at me saying how it is the law and I cant tell him other wise and to get out his cab and that when I pay with a card, he doesn't get the money, it goes right to the cab company...His whole tone and body language was just so threatening to me.

I took my receipt and i slammed his door and went into my house and cried about it. I felt so hurt and disrespected. No matter what my payment method is, I am a paying customer and deserve to be treated with respect. I just wanted to go home and this man verbally attacked me just because I paid with a debit card. He doesn't know my situation or anything as to why I didn't have cash on hand, he was just outright rude about it. Its not my fault the money doesn't go directly to him.

I called to complain and no one returned my phone call. I got through to one person who told me he would find out who the driver was and to call him back in 10 minutes. I called him back and he was no where to be found. This was the last of many bad experiences with the yellow cab company and I will never use them again.

I just had similar experience. Before I got into the cab I told him, I live close by and that I don't have any cash. He asked me to get in. When he dropped off, he asked me to enter the amount in the card reader and I did. But it wasn't working. I told him nothing is happening on the machine. He sounded so pissed off as if he picked me up unnecessarily. He kept saying and yelling "enter the amount". Finally I told him why don't he come out and show me. He got out frantically and said "Oh! the card reader isn't working" and he didn't even apologize. I then told him, that I will go in and get the cash and pay him extra as tip. When I came back with the money, I told him that this is not how he should be talking to a passenger. He said something in patwa (Yeah, he is Jamaican) and he kind of threatened "now I want you to end this". I just didn't want to get into any kind of unnecessary trouble and be punched, so I walked off silently. I want to know how these guys even get work permits to work in the US.

Yellow Cab horriable service

4/03/2012 I was picked up by a taxi drI'ver that I rode with a couple of times before. The first time he was very rude, disrespectful and yelled when I questioned him about how much he charged me. I take the cab to and from work everyday for the past 5 months and never pay more that 10.85 with traffic; every time I'm in his cab it's 12.00 or more no traffic. Today my fare was 12.25 and when I asked him about he said just gI've him 12. He was very confrontational when i stepped foot in the cab, telling me he remember me and asking where I was going (interesting) he was so busy talking over me that he wasn't listening when I told him. I told him what company and the address but all he heard was the address and keep saying no your not I know who you are...i was just disgusted. I asked must we have a problem every time and he said no. As usual I called the cab company but waited on hold for 30 minutes with no one checking on me or anything finally i just hung up. The first time I called to complain about him a waited on hold for over 30 minutes a couple of time. The supervisor didn't seem to care (they never do anytime that I've called and some where rude) and gave me other numbers to call that where not the right contact. When I finally reached someone the told me nothing could be processed until 24hrs later.(as far as what i was charged ) My experience has been so horrible with this taxi company. I dread calling them but its a must.

I just had a horrible experience riding yellow cab, first off he never turned on the meter after I noticed I asked him why his meter was off he continued to ignore me!
When I got to my destination witch was only 4blocks up the street he threw out a price and charged me 30$!
He was very unprofessional and then when I called to yellow cap to make a complain they said it was my fault for not calling them right away!

Yellow Cab physical assault

I got in the cab and asked the driver to take me to an address in downtown Chicago. The cab drove me to a random intersection a mile from my destination. I corrected the driver, but he drove me to wrong destinations twice more. Then, I personally gave the driver turn-by-turn directions to the destination. I refused to pay the now ridiculously over-charged fair because of the driver's scheme to drive me around without concern for my destination. The driver rushed out of the car, shoved me, and raise a fist at me until I paid double the fare.

Yellow Cab not recommended

My wife had a broken arm in a sling at her work location when we ordered a taxi from Yellow Cabs in Melbourne to visit our son who was in hospital (our car had broken down). It was a raining cold day in winter 2007. To make sure Yellow Cabs had the address correct, my wife called them again to make sure they were on their way. After being told a taxi would arrive soon, she locked up the workplace and waited outside. The taxi never turned up - we waited about an hour - unable to get back inside the building. There was no public phone available. In the end a we had to call for help via a ham radio in the car to a friend who turned up and gave us a lift home. We eventually made it to the hospital in another car, albeit very late, much to our distress. When I phoned the Yellow Cabs to complain, their attitude was one of disinterest. I called the Taxi Directorate who proved to be a complete waste of time and taxpayers money. They did nothing and were not interested either. The GROSSLY INCOMPETENT Yellow Cabs company has been black listed by myself. I shall never use them again under any circumstances. I have spread the word publicly regarding Yellow Cab's negligence and incompetence. The management of Yellow Cabs and the Taxi Directorate could not run a barbecue, let alone a business. I have nothing but contempt for the company and their minders the Taxi Directorate. In future, the only qualification a taxi would need for me to hire it, is it cannot be a Yellow Cabs taxi.

Yellow Cab kicked out of the cab

On Nov. 8, 2011, me and my four year old son were kicked out of a yellow cab by the cab driver. Around 5:45 PM I waved for a cab on Market near the Civic Center area . A yellow cab stopped and picked us up. The driver step on the gas without giving me anytime to buckle my son up on the chair. I was having difficulty buckling my son because the cab driver was making frequent sudden stops. This driver made so many frequent stops that I hit my leg on the armrest of the front seats. I made it known to the cab driver that I was having difficulty buckling my son down and that I hit my leg on the arm rest. I said this to him in a calm voice without any anger. This is when the driver asked me and my son to get out of the cab. I called the cab company to make a complain and left a message for them to call me, but they never returned my call. I believe the cab number was either 2712 or 2312. I have used yellow cab numerous times and not once have I complained about anything. I even have yellow cab as part of my contact on my cell phone. The situation that occurred on November 8th disturbed me a lot and hope that yellow cab takes action against this cab driver.

Yellow Cab yellow cab should be ashamed

I am officially making this complaint on November 6, 2010. However, I cannot state solely one date in which I received no service from Yellow Cab company. I have been STOOD UP by Yellow Cab numerous times. I place an order for a cab by phone via the automated recording system that says my address, and if I'd like to be picked up now, at said address. Now never comes. I am left waiting with no service at all. Once, just once, in the numerous times this has happened, I was contacted by someone who said there were no cabs in the area and that it would be a while. A while was never. Once again they never showed up. First of all, there is always cabs in my area. I live in San Francisco, near Van Ness which is a big major street. There is no excuse for this. Yellow Cab has gotten away with this for to long. This is just the first complaint. I will contact the Better Business Bureau if I have to. I will spread the word about Yellow Cab's service until their reputations is ruined or until they incorporate better training and service and actually pick me up at my door in a reasonable amount of time! Yellow cab should be ashamed!

Yellow Cab aggressive drivers

I was driving home just the other day down the expressway in Chicago. There was plenty of room to pull into the left lane, I used my signal and the cab driver pulled up and drove onto the shoulder of the road, and purposely hit the rear quarter of my car.
I pulled over into the other lane and he proceeded to go forward. Then he got in front of me and started to drive slow (remember this is a highway) slam his brakes, etc... At some point I was able to get past him, and he caught up to me again and continued to provide gestures...
The driver did scratch my car and I am filing a police report as well as a report with the city of chicago and Yellow Cab...
These guys are frick'n crazy!

I took a cab from Midway airport the other night and I told cab driver the address where I wanted to go and the same time I just wanted to make sure that the driver knows how to get there. So I asked him do you know how to get there? He said you tell me how to get there then I started him showing the direction. I don't know for some reason he got offended and started yelling at me saying "I am driving cab for so many years and If I don't know the address I have this much big GPS with me you sit and relax ###ing customer". I got pissed off and I also started yelling at me, my wife was with me so after some time i kept quite. After that he started driving reluctantly, we thought of getting of from that cab but we were one the highway in the cold night. So we thought let's continue with this cab. At last we reached home and I didn't pay him the tip. Then he started shouting at me and threatened me that "he knows my address now and he will see me some day". I got surprised how cheap these cabbies are the don't provide good service and they expect tip. I filed a complaint to consumer services. I don't what will happen now but hoping for good.

Yellow Cab problem gettting service

I use Yellow cab frequently by means of transportaion. I had a severe spine injury and am now disabled. Ive had many problems with their service but the last time I called to get a ride to the store was it for me. After getting picked up, I was taken to the store and the driver was pretty angry because it was a short distance and since he came all the way from Waterbury, he claims he wasnt making money...in other words, he doesnt benefit financially. He actaully called the dispatcher while I was still in the cab asking why they gave him such a small trip. There were quite a number of times when I called because I needed a ride to pick up my medicine at the local drugstore and as soon as they find out I am only going downtown and back, thats when the dispatcher tells me they wont have a cab for an hour or two but then noone shows up. No calls/no show. I dont have extra money to pay for cab services.Im on disability and rely on them for transportaion but it is very hard to get service especially when they know where I need to go. If I have to go to several places, they will come and pick m e up but if its only to a store, or a short trip they will make excuses why they cant provide a ride for me. Ive caught them in so many lies and to be honest, the last driver who picked me up was very disrespectful. I was extremely embarassed as If I did something wrong and I feel I didnt deserve that kind of treatment. All I told the driver was I was sorry that he came all that distance just to bring me to the store and his response was "I donot make money from these short trips" I am not sure what to do because like I said, I depend on transportation, sometimes even at night but now I can no longer count on getting rides. By the way, I am a good tipper.

Yellow Cab some taxi drivers are very rude, some managers don't care about good customer service.

I have had many problems from really rude and unprofessional taxi drivers from Yellow Cab Taxi
Company of San Antonio, Texas.
I had a taxi driver one time yell at me, another one
told me I was supposed to give him driving directions
and that I always got lost another one treated me like
I was a kid and scolded at me. I called him a "jerk" and he
told his managers and now they don't want to help me get
a cab. But lately I have contacted other taxi drivers who are more respectful and nicer. I don't recommend people to call that taxi company, call another taxi company instead.
From one to five, I give them a rating of ONE.
Very Poor Customer Service.

i hailed a yellow cab from a particular wal-mart and had to call them several times before anyone came out...nobody wanted to come get me, i was sitting outside for more than an hour...with my food...and sunburn it was really hot that day and i'm of a certain ethnicity not that was the reason (i certainly hope not) i think they discriminated against me because of the area i live in... so now since i don't have a vehicle i could call other cab companies but i'm scared to, the guy that came and got me is usually the same guy that services that area if he was busy i understand it...but there were other cab drivers in the area...i was livid and angry...

My parents had put fifty bucks on a prepaid Yellow Cab card. I called both that city and mine to make sure it’d be accepted. They all said yeah. Then the cab driver called his dispatch and they said yeah. So we get to my school and he calls again and they say no, those cards aren’t accepted for that city's cabs!

The voicemail is a furious one, and he’s cussing and saying he’s been patient with me and he needs his money NOW. He says I’ve been ignoring his calls, and “if you don’t call me back in about fifteen minutes, I’m going to call the police on you”. “I need my f***g money. You’re f***g with me. I want my f***g money. I’m going to f**** call the cops and take you to court if you don’t get me my money. I’m going to come down to the university and call the f****g police” The message is so long that it cuts off. Then he calls again and I answer. He is yelling, and my roommate takes the phone from me and calmly tries to tell him he’s going to get his money. He starts cussing her out and so my roomate curses back. My roommate hangs up. I tell my parents what he’s said, and they call the Yellow Cab company. My other roommate walks in and he calls me again. My roommate answers and tries to be calm with him. “Get me my f*****g money, b****!” he yells, thinking it’s me. My roommate tells him that I’m going to get him his money. “Who is this?!” He demands. My roommate tells him it’s none of his business and to stop calling. He tells them he’s going to call the cops. “Go ahead, and I’ll press charges on you for harassment, ” my roommate tells him. “Go f*** yourself, b****!” He yells, and hangs up.
He comes down to my school and calls the police, but I've already gone to the security office. The police say I'm in no trouble, because of the miscommunication with the prepaid card. I get the money, give it to the police and they give it to this disgusting excuse for a human being driver.

Yellow Cab unproffessional driver

I had a appointment at st Vincent hospital and the hospital had sent a taxi to pick my mom my son and me up to take us to our appointment. Since the arrival of the taxi the driver was very rude! He demanded to be paid and when I told him the hospital office said they would pay him when he dropped us off he refused to drive. Then he started saying he didn't understand us "mexicans" and that were was the money! He eventually began to drive but the drive there was horrible, uncomfortable, and frustrating. When we arrived he demanded to be paid but screaming. Then he tried to hold my mother and son inside the car! Then began calling us mexicans again. His a very rude driver and is very racist towards Hispanics. His personal hygene is terrible as well as his appearance. I didn't like the fact he behaved that way infront of my 3 yr old son. He shouldn't work in this kind of job if he can't have good customer service. Hi a very bad rude person. I wouldn't be surprised if someone kicked his ### sooner or later.

This happens to me repeatedly. I did complain to the manager and eventually he stopped taking my calls. I am initiating a word-of-mouth informal "boycott" in my city.

Yellow Cab worst taxi service

I will never ride with Conway Yellow Cab again. They are rude and crass. I spent the entire ride with a road-raging driver venting on everything from the weather to people on the sidewalk. He even went in detail on how he hated living in Arkansas and how everyone here was an idiot. Hello? One of those idiots was apparently me. Your passenger. I am at a loss for why they do business in Conway if they hate it so much. When I called the dispatcher to voice my concerns about my treatment, he hung up on me and then refused to answer my call. The company goes by a variety of different names apparently to confuse customers into thinking it is a different business but including Conway Yellow Cab, Your Local Taxi, Local Taxi, Morrilton Yellow Cab, and Conway Yellow Taxi Service - and a variety of numbers [protected], 501-327-Taxi, 501-329-Taxi, [protected], [protected], 501-327, 8294, [protected].

Yellow Cab dangerous driver

This is a complaint filed with the Yellow Cab Company of Houston and to the Texas Attorney General:

To Whom It May Concern:

I am following up on a phone call I made at 3 p.m. to your office, concerning Yellow Cab #1459. Traveling past Minute Maid Park, 59 South, around 2:45 p.m., I witnessed the Yellow Cab driver veer into the left lane, forcing a motorcycle rider into the left shoulder. As I passed the driver, I noticed he was holding his cell phone and either texting or dialing, but distracted nontheless. I am filing a complaint with the Texas Attorney General as well. It is my belief that this particular cab driver (Yellow Cab #1459) could have killed the motorist and I expect to hear of any administrative action to be taken.

Please respond immediately.

Regards,

Name and Address Withheld

You should have posted the response from Yellow Cab as well.

Thank you for bringing to our attention of what you witnessed one of our independent contractor drivers was doing while he was driving. The driver was notified at 3:01 pm that there was a complaint about his driving and to be more careful. Unfortunately, there are no laws that prohibit the use of cell phones or texting in Houston while driving. Maybe that's something that the Mayor of Houston can look into, since areas like Austin, Galveston, West University prohibit this. As a fellow citizen with a Texas driver license, I also concur that anyone using these devices while driving are a distraction. I for one, see it all the time and all I can do is just shake my head and go on. I personally have stopped using my phone while driving just to set an example to my family to follow. Good luck with the complaint to the Attorney General.

Sincerely,

Yellow Cab taxi driver and fare

This particular yellow cab driver was horrible! Harutyan Baghramyan #2121. We got picked up in Santa Monica from JP's bar at the end of the night. We told the cabbie the address and thought he would punch it in to the GPS. However, he just continued down Wilshire and instead of making a left where it would've been a shorter drive and distance on Lincoln ave he proceeded to go down to Ocean Blvd. and wanted to make a right until we yelled, "where are you going? We live in the opposite direction!" He probably thought that we were too inebriated to notice. After finally heading in the right direction, another cabbie had to stop him and tell him to TURN HIS FREAKING HEADLIGHTS ON! Finally when we arrive at our destination, and after 3 miles of travel the bill was $14.25 at our destination. When i pulled out my money the meter jumped to $15.60 and i asked him about it, without a reply. I asked him again and he just gave me $4 change. So, I'm not one to hoot and holler about it and just sat there taking down all the information on his ID card on the front dash and got out of the car. I guess he finally figured out what I had just done and yelled out the window if i wanted the rest of my change back.

To make things worse i called Yellow Cab LA to file a complaint, but just got the runaround. After finally reaching a supervisor, he didn't really want anything to do with a complaint and just gave a me a number to call and leave a voicemail. Yellow Cab customers really don't mean much to the company in my opinion. If there is just a mailbox to leave voicemails in and they are unable to do it in person, they really must be receiving lots and lots of complaints. Maybe Yellow Cab LA should look into seeing what they can do to reduce the complaints and get real customer service.
