Yelp.com Vacation package

I purchased a vacation package through United Vacations and every time I called about a refund each representative gave me a different amount that United Vacations would charge for a cancellation fee. United vacations started out saying it would be a $150 cancellation fee per person to cancel my United flight, now 5 days later they are saying it's a $200 cancellation fee per person. My hotel room I booked is fully refundable and United Airlines is not actually charging customers right now to cancel their flights. This company United Vacations should go out of business they are horrible and they are stealing money from hard working people. They lie a lot and all their cancellations fees is just money they are taking from the consumer. I will never use United Vacations for anything anymore. I'm actually changing the way I fly I will not longer fly with united airlines. I don't know how United Airlines partners with this company ALG they are lying like United is charging to cancel flights when in actuality they are charging the fees. No one speaks proper English either it's hard trying to speak to someone who doesn't speak English. I want my money back

Yelp.com Hiding good reviews unless we enlist their services

We have GREAT reviews, we are bombarded by yep sales people that claim they will not list good reviews because we do not pay for their services... The freely post negative reviews because it shows a "balanced" view of the business. However, if we pay them monthly, they will push the good reviews and bury the poor ones.

Terrible Company and unethical.

We share our bad experience with Yelp to anyone that will listen. We do see them becoming less visible so that is good. Google Reviews are great, and FREE!

Desired outcome: Either change the way you do business or go away!

Yelp.com Restaurant review

Hello, I own a restaurant in norfolk virginia. Chartreuse Bistro. There is a bad review by dean m. That states we should be shut down by health department. I think that is a little harsh of a review and we have never been contacted by the health department about this issue. Please re write the review or take it down because it is not true. Thank you - christopher

Yelp.com Credit for remaining bonus budgets may and june ($300). Credit for extra spent on june that I was not prepared to pay and extra $600. So $900 total.

The bonus budgets ads are a so vague in which I was originally told it would run along side my current ad and giving me dollar for dollar in which my ad spent. But later I was lot told by Janique C. that the bonus money is spaced out over time and you may never reach the full amount no matter how much you spend which is super deceiving. The customer service person with yelp name Janique C. is very rude and I pray you dont ever have to speak with her. She does not have the customers best interest in hand. She can not give you information why the bonus add of $500 was not reached (only reached $370) even though I spent $1,500 in ads for the month of June. Makes no since bc the month previously in May I only spent 400 and my bonus ad gave me $350. I asked to speak to supervisor but she could not find anyone so I asked for someone to give me a call. I highly doubt anyone will call bc I have been down this road before with them. Yelp needs to hire a better "success team" bc they just lost my business after over a year with them.

I had also called over a month ago bc my ad went from spending $30 per day and then jumped to $300 per day for almost 3 days. I called Cristal and did not get a call back. And I did get an email from her saying she called but my voicemail was full but I saw no missed call and my voicemail is not full. I tried emailing her back and got no response. I called again 2 weeks later and still did not hear back from Cristal via call or email. Leaving me feel like I was forgotten about and yelp didn't care. I had been in contact with Joel another one of your reps telling me to increase my add to get more click and went from $30 too $300 for a few days with no explanation that anyone could give considering I had raised budget a few different times over the months of May and June.

Yelp.com Advertising program

I signed up for a Trial based on a supposed $300 credit, and I have regretted it dearly! They have served up NO leads of quality even fter claiming to have shown my d to over 15k users, and although they do not provide any regular updates on the progress of your account / credit outstanding when I logged in I was astounded to find they had started billing me.

After eventually finding out how to cancel the "program" I immediately received an email thanking me for signing up for ANOTHER more expensive program! It's insane that they can get away with this type of trickery, and I don't seem to be able to stop them.

Not only is this a poor quality ad platform but in my genuine opinion it uses deliberately deceptive communications and advertising practices to lure in businesses and then basically rip them off. I can't quite believe they can just get away with it to be honest so I hope this review helps others somehow.

Desired outcome: I expect a full refund an confirmation that they will not bill me again.

Yelp.com Photos of restaurants

You have begun putting ads below the photos. The ads take up 1/3 of the screen and make the photos impossibly small. It looks like you've decided to squeeze a few more cents out of Yelp businesses and downgraded your product in a terrible way. Please remove these ads!

You want a longer complaint, it seems. There isn't really any more information I can add. I'll just switch to Trip Advisor.

You've begun adding ads with photos of restaurants. These photos take up 1/3 of the screen and make the restaurant photos impossibly small. Please remove these ads!

Yelp.com Believe it landscape maintenance in Menifee, CA

I posted a one star, negative review on Yelp on July 19, 2020. Nick Lucero, owner of Believe It Landscape, has been harrassing, bullying and insulting me to get me to remove my negative review of his service. He did a half [censored] job and wanted full pay. When bullying didn't work, he took the opposite approach and has been trying to use Bible verses to shame me into removing the negative review. This has been going on nearly two years and needs to stop.

Our original agreement was for him to weed whack the dried mustard plant in my yard, and for him to mulch it into the ground. However, halfway done, he changed his tune to say his estimate was for the hours worked, instead of the project we originally agreed upon. He denied he ever agreed to a project price and insisted he was done.

I posted pictures of the half done work on the review, so people could see what a lackluster job he did. He started attacking me on other points, saying Animal Control should be called about my horses. I posted picture to prove they were perfectly healthy animals.

To this day he persists in trying to guilt and/or bully me into removing the negative review.

Desired outcome: I want Nick blocked from my review, or him to refund me half of the $700.00 I paid him since he only did half the work, amounting to $350.00

Yelp.com Yelp business policy

I signed up yesterday for my business on Yelp and found out today that I cannot remove my page. How is this legal or ethical? One of their business customer service people called me today and asked if I had any concerns. I explained to her that I am worried about fake reviews that could cause harm to my business and the first fake review I get I'm pulling my page off, she told me I can't do that. How is that possible? It's my business, I own it I pay all the taxes and I have every right protect my business from defamation and libel I've every right to protect my livelihood. On top of that, the young lady that called me her name is Chastity, completely dismissed my concerns as if it's not important!

Desired outcome: Remove my business page from the Yelp platform.

Yelp.com Posting fake review - Land O Lakes Moving

Yelp has blocked real reviews and allowed fake ones. They call me regularly to buy ads from them, but won't fix this problem.

For example, on Land O Lakes Moving, there is a fake negative review from Nermeen C that is exploding with extremely slanderous comments. She references an email and 2 pictures. Her comments and what the email and pics are, are completely different. Her comment says we admit guilt. The email did not do that. Her comments say we destroyed her floor, and will destroy others homes. You can barely see the small scratch on her floor, in her posted pictures. She states the owner came to her house and threatened her. I am the owner. I was home in St Petersburg all day.

This fake review hurt our rating tremendously.

Yelp gets you on the credit, then you get a bill for 500 or more, then you cancel, then they keep charging your card, then your business all of a sudden has a bad review and your overall rating is down to 1, this is enough to destroy your business and reputation, something has to be done with the power this company has over other companies who don't fall in line

Desired outcome: YELP NO LONER IN BUSINESS, FINED BY THE US GOVT, PAY RESTITUTION FOR PEOPLE WHOS BUSINESSES THEY DESTROYED, NEVER BE ABLE TO HOLD A CORPORATE LICENSE AGAIN

I am sending this text to complain about your company’s manner of allowing any individual or a competitor to tarnish the reputation of a respectable company by simply posting an untruthful review. I am the president of SAEI Company in business since 1978. I have noticed that , in the past several years, Yelp has kept the false and negative reviews of our company and refuses to post many good reviews by our clients.

Yelp.com Mortgage broker advertising

Hello,

I purchased the services from YELP and canceled it just in two weeks. Still, they kept advertising and charged me. Though the account was canceled on April 13, they have not refunded the ariers. instead of that, again this month, I received an email asking for payment for the current month of May 22. Not sure how to cancel this company with the lowest possible ethics?

I have attached two photos herewith.

Yelp.com Setting up a FREE yelp page

On March 17, 2022 on the phone I worked with one of the representatives of Yelp to help me set up my yelp page. When asking her if my yelp page is free, and she replied yes the service is free.

Little did I know, every item on my page such as a slideshow, adding a logo, or putting a reply email or phone number there is a monthly charge for it. I kept telling her I DID NOT WANT TO PAY ANYTHING for this page, as most of my friends have a free yelp page and all that I wanted is apage so people could find me. I teach piano lessons.

Next thing I know, I am being charged $266.79 for ads.

Please be aware that the representative speaks in such a way that they don't really answer the question directly. I am certain other people are as confused as I am when they get their bill.

I do not know what the $450 budget for YELP ADS is, nor do I know that the $300 budget was or is. It is just so confusing and there is no way for me to know what they are referring to about yelp ads, etc.

I think it is deceiving salesmanship and is intended to confuse the person who just wants to set up a yelp page. The rep should have mentioned that there is a monthly fee for certain items on the page, and that there are hidden charges such as YELP ADS. Instead they say things like you are getting a $450 budget credit, and then you find out later you went over that budget which in my case was $210.63 but I have no idea how they got to that number and there is no statistics on that. Is it just made up?

And then what was the $300 budget credit, and how did I spend that and get charged an additional $33.55 which I think they reversed the charges on.

I am reporting them because, even though I spent several hours on the phone with the person(s) able to give me a refund, they said they listened to the call which was over 2 hours for the set up, and the rep was saying things like paid advertising and a budget. When I asked them if they heard the part where I said to the rep, Please be sure I am not CHARGED for any services, and she said, " Don't worry about it". That part they said they didn't hear.

Seems to me I was deceived by salesman language that is meaningless or is made unintelligible by excessive use of abstruse technical terms; nonsense: and I am asking for a refund.I am a sole propreiter and they worst part is that I didn't get one client out of all this, because upon the first set up, I didn't have my phone number on the page, as the rep said to leave it as an email, and the people emailed through YELP, and I didn't get any of the messages. What a marketing MESS!

Desired outcome: A FULL REFUND in the amount of $266.79 and my PAYMENT CARD REMOVED from their file

Yelp.com Unaccounted bank charge

After I intaglio setup a Yelp account online, someone from Yelp contacted me, offered me promotions, and then helped me for about an hour setting up my Yelp page. He told me I get $400 of free credits. Stupidly, I gave him my cc number to have in storage. Guess what charge was thank G-d declined by Chase a few days later? A $413.99 charge from Yelp. I declined the charge and got a new card. Today I got a call from another Yelp rep who asked what the story was with the payment, and when I told her off, she told me she'd cancel it. She even sent me an email to show the cancellation. Well, what do you know? Once again I got a $413.99 charge from Yelp, this time on my NEW card! I never gave them the number! This time I'm putting up a fight. Tomorrow is off to making a call to the bank claims department to find out how they got my new card number

Desired outcome: My desired outcome? Stop charging me for a service I didn't ask for. If you tell me it's free or it's being cancelled, don't lie through your teeth.

Similar experience. Yelp sales person promised with credits 3 months free advertising. Then I ended up with $1200 in charges on my CC the first two months. No increased business.

April 4, 2022.

I posted a business ad using Yelp using a promotion, so no initial charge to me. After a few months, it yielded no business I stopped the subscription before it started charging. I then noticed two charges for a total of just under $300. I called them to let them no I did not approve these charges (I should add I was on hold for 23 minutes before talking to someone.). Then the reps (I tried twice) both did not want to hear anything, and said they will do nothing. I then asked why the billing section of my 'settings' page says it will bill me again the next month; she said, 'oh, that does not mean they will bill you, it just says that.' Seriously?

Then I asked how to remove my credit card from my profile, after trying for 20 minutes on my own, She informed me that was not possible, but she will 'submit a request'. Should not I be in control of my own credit card? I then tried to delete my personal account, yet another epic failure that required the rep to send me a special link.

Desired outcome: A refund.

Yelp.com Unauthorized use of address

I was told by a fedex driver that my address was showing up under a company named FB Geeks. I called yelp and they removed it from the company page, but when you search it still shows up as linked to yelp.com. Is there a way for it to be removed from front and back end data? I dont know how or who got access to my address but it is clear that Yelp does not do enough due diligence to confirm address. I also searched the company name on georgia SOS and it doesn't exist.

Desired outcome: please remove my address from your website. Thanks

Yelp.com Unauthorized bank withdrawals

Sazon de mi Tierra made ONE mistake. To register the business with Yelp. The next thing we knew was automatic deductions for what they call advertising. We have been complaining and getting the money back. The last contact happened in November 2021 for the same issue "Unauthorized deductions". To have the account removed from the Yelp site it's impossible. To have the business account deleted from Yelp, it's impossible. To have the Yelp rating in the BBB it's impossible. The next step would be to suit Yelp for conducting business in a bad way. This is impossible because it's hard to fight big corporations.

Do not do business with YELP.

Desired outcome: Money back and delete the business account.

Yelp.com Yelps policy on reviews

I just opened a new housekeeping business. I had legitimate, nothing inappropriate, no breaking guidelines, just great reviews from real customers who contacted me through yelp. I called yelps customer service. Something about computer automated software that removes what it believes to be felonious, or fake, I said to the rep. Ok then why don't you get on the phone and call the person. No, they cannot override what this software decoded. So out of the 12 (and only) reviews i'm left with 4 good one

Me too! I left an honest review of horrible treatment by a doctor and it’s not recommended by their algorithm. Their reviews are carefully sifted to remove reviews customers should see.

Yelp.com Yelp scams businesses

Yelp does not allow businesses to remove their own listing nor do they remove listings for closed businesses so they may have all these compiled listings in order to pressure businesses to pay for advertising in competition with all these "ghost" listings. And if you do not pay your rating goes down.
All a scam. Please if you still have a account with Yelp, post a "Yelp is a Scam" picture to help warn others.
