I was at Younkers- Westroads mall, Omaha, NE on Memorial Day. The associate was not at the desk so I have to look around and saw her talking somewhere else to someone. When I asked whether she can assist me she grabbed my things from my hand in rude way and billed me when I asked if there is any additional discount she was extremely rude telling me that I don't understand and called me an idiot. When I told this to the manager the manager told me that I am rude and called the security and said I can't be in the store. For what? I don't how these kind of people are there in customer service and no wonder the stores are closing. Shame on the sales associate and shame on the manager!
unethical professionalism
I went to Yonkers on 3/17/18 in the evening with my father's credit card. I asked the sales associate working at the Lancome base about my eyebrows. I told her what I liked and that I was looking for something different. I loved the way her eyebrows were looking and asked what she did. It looked like she knew what she was doing and that it took a lot of time. She didn't specify. I kept asking questions because I wanted mine to look just as good as hers. They looked beautiful. She kept looking at me weird and said she liked what I was doing with mine. I'm an amateur. I told her that I only used one product that included the gel. Anyways I decided to buy some Lancome lip gloss because I still didn't know what I was doing with my eyebrows. I came home and got on Facebook and viewed a video that showed me that I needed like 3-5 different utensils to get your eyebrows as perfect as the sales associate I was talking to at YONKERS (AMES IA NORTH GRAND MALL). A sales associate is always looking for commission pay, especially at Younkers. As many questions as I asked her I just don't know why she wasn't interested in educating me on eyebrow makeup and getting money. I had my dads credit card. I said that several times to ensure her that I was interested. I had 60$ to spend. I've attached a video with what seems like the proper way to style your eyebrows. The aftermath looked just like the sales associates at Younkers. I know that Lancome has the perfect shade for my skin tone. I was also looking at the other different brands that Younkers carried, but at each station was only referred to "one utensil" to do my eyebrows. I'm upset that I didn't get the knowledgeable service that professionals are supposed to give.
your return policy
I purchased items from Marquette, Michigan store on 11/24/17. While several of the items were Christmas gifts 3 items were for a birthday gift for June 2018. I specifically asked if they could be returned at a later date. I was told absolutely fine. 2 days later the news aired the story the store was closing in January of 2018. The next day I went there to get a refund in case the items that were a gift didn't fit. They refused and said they could not take any returns. They told me to go to another open store. I did that last week on 3/3/18 in Green Bay Wisconsin. They told me they could not take back any closed store merchandise. I am extremely upset by this. I paid $16.19 item [protected], $13.19 item [protected], & $15.98 item [protected]. I want my money back as I did everything I was told to do.

order items cancelled
I placed an order online for 16 items and within a four day time frame they cancelled over half of my items purchased due to unforeseen issues. I am only receiving 5 items I purchased out of 16 items. They cancelled 11 things I ordered. This is beyond frustrating and irritated that I cannot get the purchase items. I would rather shop online elsewhere to ensure I will receive the items I think I have purchased and not have to play a guessing game on which items I will actually be able to receive. If it says I purchased items and order was confirmed then to get ready for shipment then I should get the entire order I placed, not less than one third of the items. Extremely frustrating and disappointing to say the least.
problem obtaining refund from online purchase
i placed an order on 9/7/17 (#[protected]) for 2 mattress pads, 2 comforters, 4 towels and 2 sheet sets. They were to be delivered to my sons in California. My sons called me to tell me they had received the comforters but nothing else, I looked at the tracking and found that the towels were supposed to be included with one of the comforters--they were not and the other items were being returned to sender for a bad address. Funny that 2 of the packages were delivered to the exact same address no problem. I called right away and explained what was happening, the women on the phone said they would resend the missing and returned items. I then received a call a few days later stating they were not going to resend since the items could not be expedited and they were afraid they would just be returned again. At that time I placed a new order with this person for the 2 mattress pads, 4 towels and 2 sheet sets--and paid for them again, this time having them sent to my home in Michigan and I would then send them via Fed Ex out to California (so much for the free shipping). Since that time the two mattress pads from the original order have been returned to your facility in W Jefferson Ohio, the 4 towels were never sent and the two sheet sets appear to be lost somewhere in Atlanta Georgia.
However I still have not received my refund. I have made several calls to Younkers regarding this mess, twice I have been told that I would receive a call back from a manger or supervisor, no one has called. I have spent additional money shipping the new items, I am paying interest on my Younkers card for the original purchase and have been dealing with this for over 6 weeks. I am extremely frustrated that I can not get a refund to my card from the original purchase and I am very disappointed in the lack of customer service.

Ordering item and then getting charged half the price of item just to ship it, then I get some lady who says 'why don't you think you need to pay that shipping' that's absolutely rediculous, I'm gonna contact the bbb why should anyone pay half the cost of an item that doesn't weigh anything to be shipped, someone needs to credit that shipping other retailers either have promo codes for free shipping, or over it to their card holders, or its not nearly as high. I mean come on 10.95 for a 20.00 something item, it's rediculous. Younkers has been on a downward slice for years, and I think this made my vote to no longer shop from their stores or online. Not even Kohls charges that much for shipping, nor does Walmart or target. And my target shipping is free with use of my red card.
Poor customer service/being ignored at register
Today, December 16, 2016 I was trying to make a purchase at the Marshfield, WI younkers store. it was between the times of 10am-12 noon. I was at the registers near the back of the store. Please check your cameras. I was in a black coat with a baby in a stroller. I was waiting in line and was second in line behind a lady, that transaction was taking a long time when she was done I placed my items on the counter and the lady working the register just left. No eye contact, no explaination that she had to do something else she just left so I had to gather my items and I moved to the other register next to me. I was then behind another lady that wasn't waiting as long as I was. When she was finished I was about to put my items on the counter and that this lady (a different one) just left my register and went to the one behind her which a different lady was working at. Once again no eye contact, no explaination, she just left my line when it was my turn. I was furious, I felt like I was invisible. I had my one year old daughter with me in her stroller and no one can see me. It was so rude and disrespectful. Then yet another cashier then sees me and tells me to come to the other side. She was still working with a customer so I was waiting between the two lines on that side of the counter. When the first person was finished then the lady told me to go back to the other side again and then she could help me. She did start to help me but kept bouncing back and forth with another customer. it took so long to finish up. Once dealing with the cashier she was very nice and polite but your store's policy and bouncing around at the registers is not acceptable if they can't tell you that they need to move, but they should take who was in line first not who figured out the game of musical registers. I felt so unimportant and little. I loved shopping at this store but after today I don't recommend this store to anyone.

Check was declined. Called company and reason was high risk. Was told they would do a vi request and i should wait 10 minutes, write a different check and try it again. Should of known better, it was the sameer old thing. Called again which in itself is a real headache getting through to a live person, which meant going through everything a second time. So i have to wonder if they actually take any info, since she could not pull up the previous info. Plenty of funds in the acct. And when i asked them to call the bank i was told that was not there job (Go figure). Needless to say the manager at younkers was less than helpful. I walked out without the clothes and younkers lost out on a rather significant sale. Company's need to hire a reliable and honest service, and certegy definitely is costing them business.

I have purchased some jewelry from Younkers website and some items were missing. I contacted customer service and they said that some of the items were not in stock. So then I asked them to refund my money and they said that they don't do refunds.
Then I told them that I'm ready to return everything I received and they promised to contact me back later with the decision.
When they finally contacted me they said that they also don't accept returns. I asked them what am I supposed to do and they had nothing to tell.

Any furniture, or mattresses under $599
When purchasing furniture, or lower priced mattresses from Younker's, a $15.00 fee will be added to pick the item up at their store. That $15.00 fee is never mentioned in the ads, or on the price tags or signs. Numerous items are advertised at specific prices with no physical way for a consumer to get the item at those prices. Consumers either have to pay $90.00 for delivery - which is an understandable fee for a service over and above the actual purchase - or a $15.00 fee to pick it up in the store. For example; a chair, which could fit in the back of most SUVs, is advertised at $347.00. Consumers who are easily able to pick the chair up, themselves, in an attempt to save the $90.00 delivery fee, will be charged $15.00 to do so, making the actual cost of the chair $362.00. Again - that extra fee is never mentioned in any ad, on any sign, or on any tag. There is no way to actually get the chair for the advertised price of $347.00.

I signed up for account assure in case of job loss. Back in May 2014, my husband lost his job for about 7 months. Within that 7 months, I made 2 payments late. When I called account assure to see if I could get credit for my late fees (they say they will waive the entire account)not only did they say that they couldn't do that but even if she could, it would have had to been me that lost my job! So apparently in the world that this Account Assure lives in, husbands and wives do not share their income! Absolutely ridiculous! I would NEVER recommend this and will tell everyone I know absolutely in no way, shape, or form to agree to it! Poor service at it's finest!
late fee
My name is Vickie Adams I have been an EXCELLENT long time Younkers Credit Cardholder for over 15 years and was employed with Younkers for over 5 years at one time. So you know I truly love shopping at Younkers. But for the last few months i had a zero balance i made some purchases but returned the items. bringing my balance back down to what i thought was a zero balance. the next month i made some purchases i now know I have a balance on my card. I get my bill the other day and i have a late fee. needless to say im a little shocked. i call your customer service she goes over the billing statements with me and although i didnt have a copy of the statments she insisted I still had a balance after my returns. This was truly an honest mistake on my part. I requested a credit of the late fee, which i have never done before. She denied the request. Under the circumstances and my longevity with the company and todays economy i could not understand the denial. I relcutancly had her CLOSE my account. ITS REALLY DISHEARTING AND SAD THAT YOU WOULD CHOOSE TO LOOSE A GOOD CUSTOMER OVER $29.00.

Credit Card Gouging
My son was shopping at a Younkers dept. store in Michigan and signed up for a credit card. He used the card to receive discount on his first purchase. A few months later a phone call comes him telling him he owes over 100 dollars for his purchase. He stated that he has never received a statement or the credit card and when they checked the address it was wrong. The rep told him she would adjust the statement and send a new one with only his original purchase on it. That statement had the wrong postal code on it so it was already pasted due when he recieved it. He phoned and was told to pay it right away. A postal money was sent along with the postal code correction and now he is being hounded for late fees which are now around 70 or more dollars. How do you deal with these crooks?

I am done shopping at Younkers in Des Moines. The store is a rip off. You can't return or exchange an item without the original receipt. Even with tags and item in the bag. what a rip off.
I am a little frustrated-went to pay my bill online and couldn't pay it past their eastern time. I called to make a payment and they charged me $15.00 extra dollars for paying over the phone. Very frustrated because I do not live close to a youners store to go make a payment. I do not want to issue a complaint. I want to praise a store clerk at the YOUNKER'S Store in the Lansing Mall in Lansing Michigan.. Last Saturday, I went to the Jewelry Department and could find no one to help me. A clerk, Paula, who used to be in the Jewelry Department, but now in Lingerie willingly came and helped me purchase a gold-chain. Because she previously worked in the Jewelry Department, she was very knowledgeable and more than willing to assist me. Paula knew a lot about the Jewelry Department, and I also know this from previous interactions with her in that department. I know she's been an employee at Younkers for a long time, as I shop there often and have seen her there many times. I'm grateful for the assistance that Paula gave me. Also, while Pauls was assisting me, no one, who ever was supposed to be working in that department, showed up. Paula is a wonderful asset to your organization. I actually do not have a complaint...I want to tell you that the Appleton Younkers has the BEST manager named Glenda and some another is Pat in jewelry. I shop at younkers alot and they are wonderful...so helpful and kind. The ladies in the perfume are wonderful also. The other area's with wonderful employee's would be bedding, men's wear, handbags. They are fabulous...so kind and always nice. I do most of my shopping at Younker's in Appleton and because of these wonderful employees...I will continue and share this with everyone that I know...Black Creek, Wis.
