I got YT TV on a discounted trial and when it ends I'm gone. As bad as Sling is I'm going back. I record almost everything so I can skip the commercials but you can only do that on a few channels on YT. Most of the time you get a 3 to 5-minute commercial before you can watch the recording and then while watching, a commercial blasts out of nowhere at 2 to 3 times the volume of the show you were watching. Once you click on something to record, everything with that title gets recorded on their unlimited storage and you can't delete what you have already watched so you have to sort through everything when you want to watch. Also, in the middle of my trial, they jacked the regular price up to $83 a month without any add-ons.
Recommendation: They have a lot of channels so if you can live with what I just described, go for it.
YouTube TV is a bait-and-switch debacle. Terminate immediately after the trial period. Their “unlimited storage” is chaotic, commercials spoil the DVR experience and increasing the price during a trial period is an obvious money-making scheme. Sling may have problems, but it does not do all these things. Save your cash and your nerves; drop YouTube TV.
