VERY disappointed
I have had my unit for 3 years. I use it as a part of treatment for my chronic back pain. I have recommended this unit to everyone I talk to. I made a call to them about 2.5 years ago (a few months after I received the unit) and asked to cancel the monthly packages. I was told that they charge insurance and then cancel the balance and don't bill the patients. I was concerned about 'insurance fraud', but didn't give it much thought. I submitted a request for replacement leads and additional pads. Two days later I received a call stating that the bill submitted to insurance 3 years ago was denied, so I know owed $250 for the unit, as well as $16 for each of the monthly packages I received. I explained that I have never received a bill/statement from them, so I don't understand how I have a bill that old. I explained that I can't submit that bill to my FSA now for a bill that is 3 years old. She told me I had to pay the $250 or return the unit. I am returning the unit. I found a similar unit for $30. They are NUTS.

I was prescribed a rentable Zynex Inc TENS Unit which I chose to purchase for 250 dollars in the summer of 2023, after putting 50 dollars down I was told I would be billed for the rest but never was. They have cntinued to bill my Horizon BCBS insurance for a total of 2995 dollars whicjh BCBS says I now owe. The Zynex Representative told me this would be resolved but has not.

This company began sending us "equipment" we did not order or request. We returned everything they sent us, marked "return to sender". They then billed our insurance for the equipment we had returned, which is insurance fraud, and then they began billing us...for equipment we had returned unopened.
They refuse to talk about the bills, instead just sending them to collection agencies to harass us into paying money they know we do not owe.
This company is the definition of a scam.
Desired outcome: Stop billing us for the equipment we returned.

This company is a TOTAL SCAM. When I realized they had taken steps based on a phone call that they could not re-create. They sent me all kinds of equipment and started billing my insurance and myself for things I did not ask for.
I actually had my Blue Cross Billing Representative on a 3 way Conference call attempting to resolve the Billing, the Zynex representative refused to work with my insurance and then made my insurance company get off the phone. I was left with them attempting to force me to pay for over-priced crap that they could sent me, but I can't return (riddle me that one batman). I just never wanted this thing but over the phone they said let them send it and I could return it free of charge if insurance didn't cover it 100%. Total lie. I see all the complaints out there and mine is the same. They force their will on you by sending all kinds of equipment I didn't want or need then retroactively play the you owe us game. Zero integrity. I told them I never touched or opened any of it. And the representative said too bad, we sent it, you can't send it back, pay. Horrible horrible experience. This is so sad that a company like this exists in the U.S. A. Disgraceful.

Zynex tens unit fraudulent billing
I received a NexWave unit in September. The insurance EOB stated that due to insurance company discounts, patient cost was zero. Zynex delayed billing until January after sending three months' worth of supplies. (All EOB showed $0 due from patient.) When I contacted them to ask why I'm being billed and why billing was delayed, I was lied to about the timeframe in which the insurance company processed the claim. The rep claimed Zynex just got the EOB from the insurance company. The insurance company provided me with documentation that directly contradicts this claim. I never would have kept the unit if I had known I would have to pay for it. But now, I owe almost as much as the unit costs to buy because I've had it in my possession for several months. Had they billed me in a timely manner, this would not be the case. I also would not have agreed to monthly supply shipments had I not been told that the patient portion was $0. The customer service rep was rude and lied repeatedly while on the phone. The way this company scams people out of their money is disgusting.

Given the last awful communication from Zynex by phone and the unprofessional conduct of their representative, I have requested all communication be done in writing. I have also requested a statement showing the payment from the insurance company be applied. This has not been provided.
Desired outcome: Apply payment remitted by the insurance company and clear patient balance from the account.
I have yet to receive any concession or amended invoice. I have only received a demand for payment of the amount I'm disputing.

Zynex TENS
My husband was prescribed a tens unit through Zynex over a year and a half ago and their billing practices are shady to say the least! They refuse to bill all of our insurance policies properly and even when I had a United Healthcare representative reach out because Zynex was billing incorrectly, Zynex refused to correct their billing and instead continues to send us bills and that representative stated that I should absolutely file a complaint with the medical board. My husband has had good insurance this entire time along with CHAMPVA that covers all medical (which they refuse to bill) and I 100% believe it’s because they are a complete scam that all the insurance companies deny their claims in the first place. I’ve called so many times trying to work with this company and I’ve absolutely had it so I’ll be filing every kind of complaint I can this week, they claim they want to help but they should be ashamed of themselves.
Desired outcome: Close my husbands account with no balance and never contact us in any way again.

Zynex bills for autoship of supplies I never authorized
The only information I received regarding autoship is a text message on Aug. 19th, 2022 from Nadine saying the following: The electrodes are reusable, so please don't feel obligated to go on the autoship of supplies.
That message would suggest that a person undertake some action ( to go on) to receive autoship. A reputable business would send an email confirming such an action. I have never "gone on" autoship, nor have received confirmation of "having gone on autoship." Furthermore, I have no documentation showing me the cost of the supplies ($33).
On 2/21/20232 I receive a bill, informing me for the first time that I am being charged $33 per month, totalling $165 for for the supplies I never authorized.
I ask for my balance for the supply shipments to be removed. And a timely resolution to this issue.

Co-pay didn’t show up in my account after 10 service months
I started Zynex Medical service of their device and supply since July 2021. Until April 2022, I was not happy with their service and the device therefore I called and disconnected their service. At that time, I asked them I would pay any balance to close out my account with them. And their response was NOTHING that they saw in my balance. So I thought everything was good and my account had been closed. But NO. In November 2022, I received a statement said that I still owned them $27.73 because of the insurance co-pay for the device. Please tell my WHY did they know the device co-pay that I had to pay since July 2021 (starting using the device) to April 2022. They only noticed about my co-pay couple months after I call to close the account and the device has been used since July 2021. It took them more than 10 months to figure out the amount of co-pay for a device. Ridiculous! But the statement that they sent to me indicate that my copay for device in July 2021. They said their end it did not show at the time I called to close my account.
And their final answer was “you can return the device if you are not happy but the balance of your copay is still showed $27.73. If you want us to close your account you have to pay it”.
This is the worse customer service representatives that I talked to. And even I spoke to the manager/ supervisor, they all talked the same language 🤦♀️

Continually sending supplies regardless of coverage changes without notification
Just received a text from Zynex stating that I had an outstanding balance. We had a $0 out of pocket plan for these medical supplies. Yet, I was just told over the years certain things weren't covered(as far back as 2021) and in January Anthem no longer covered supplies, YET they continued shipping them without notifying us. I offered to send back supplies and was told due to the FDA we couldn't ship back unopened medical supplies? Not even the 9 volt batteries? This is fraudulent. Not only were these charges excessive in number and unauthorized, we moved and they are still trying to charge for supplies never received. I demand they drop these outstanding charges or accept supplies that I'll gladly return. They have overpriced and overcharged for supplies since the beginning.
Desired outcome: Drop the outstanding balance, consider the account settled and closed.
This was already discussed on the BBB website. I have nothing further to add publicly. At this point, it’s not in my best interests continue any direct communication with your company.

I just emailed them asking for removal of the balance for the supplies. Going on what I have read, there is a big probablility I will not get the balance removed. I will let you know what their reponse is. Please keep me informed about your efforts regarding class action law suits.

Sent a contact email to you. There have to be hundreds of people in the San Antonio area that were initially prescribed a Zynex unit by a well-established pain management practice in the city and are now experiencing the sudden notification of outstanding balances. Please help!
Tens device
Zynex told us it would cost about $300 for an outright purchase of their device TENS device to address pain management. We signed up in early July. The first insurance came in for $294. Then another for over $200. Then two more claims the next month, totaling nearly $600. We were confused. It appears the company had us sign a rental agreement costing us $500 PER MONTH. We could easily have purchased a new device outright for this price. It cost us over $1000 before we figured it out. The company is deceptive and not honest. We are filing a BBB complaint and posting negative reviews on Yelp. This company is taking advantage of pain suffers and charging people a huge amount of money.
Desired outcome: They should refund our money and clearly state the actual cost of their system.

Zynex medical tens unit
Spoke to a representative when my provider ordered a tens unit and asked them to bill insurance as I was unable to pay for the device if it was not covered 100% by my insurance. Assured me that this would be done. Received a $500 bill a year later for multiply tens devices and electrodes and 9v batteries that I never ordered or received. Bill shows that the unit that I did received was covered completely by insurance.
Desired outcome: Apologize and correct bill to $0.

TENS Unit Trickery!!
BEWARE! DISHONEST COMPANY! Their representatives are the kings of deception. They are very good at not pointing out "verbal rental agreements" while IMMEDIATELY charging innocent dolts, like myself exorbitant monthly fees to use a device that was never used. All the while, their reps console and manipulate. Their rep immediately told me that they have me on a recorded call allowing them to bill my insurance company. Yet, he couldn't access the recording when I requested it. BEWARE! DECEPTIVE COMPANY that preys on older folks.
Desired outcome: Refund for product that was never used. Refund of all "rental fees."

Tens unit, delayed billing
My husband was prescribed this unit by his physician. Once I received a notice from BCBS of a denial, I called the company to let them know we were initiating an appeal. We were assured this was covered by BCBS. I did ask to stop receiving supplies since it did not help and he was no longer using it. This all took place from March to June 2021. After initiating the appeal we heard nothing else and assumed all was resolved. Today, August 25, 2022 we received a bill from Zynex for $316.00. I called to ask why we are getting a bill over a year and a half later, no one could explain why, I then asked if I could return the device, I was told no credit would be issued. I can not even look up or discuss this with my insurance company as timely filing limits have been reached. I do not agree with this bill. We do not agree with this bill and do not understand why you waited over a year and a half to send it unless it was because you know at this point insurance will no longer be an option due to filing limits.
Desired outcome: I would like this bill written off as all timely filing limits have passed with the insurance company so any information regarding denials or appeals can no longer be discuss

Fraud billing! Do not trust these people!
DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY! They will scam you and try to scam your insurance, they even have a local rep that will call you and try to be nice and even tell you not to order the extra supplies. Then they will continue to send you supplies for $50/month when you never asked for them. And when you try to call, they leave you on hold for so long you have to hang up. I wish I would of read the horrible reviews first. I was only told there was a fee to basically rent the unit while they submits to your insurance (they said it would be approved, it always is). I asked multiple times if there were any other fees and clearly stated that I didn’t want to pay any additional charges. I knew this because the rep told me not to get the supplies. When I finally got a call back, the new rep was so rude! (not the friendly guy that starts the setup scam). I asked for the recorded call with the rep and they said those calls weren’t recorded. Don’t waste your time with this company. They are still trying to bill my insurace even after I sent the machine back. It’s unfortunate that this company takes advantage of people who are not feeling well. Shame on you!

9 months ago my daughter had knee surgery. We would occassionally receive some supplies like batteries and electrodes with a quantity of 1 per shipment. Last week I received a package stuffed full of electrodes that are not needed nor were they requested. There are 16 packages of electrodes and we aren't even using the machine any longer. I called and was told that they are not returnable. This is straight up fraud that a company can send unsolicited items in bulk and expect payment. I am not paying for this and want this company investigated for fraud immediately. This is the reason for ridiculous insurance costs and the cost of these supplies is $1584.00!
Desired outcome: Refund this immediately and stop sending unnecessary, and unsolicited supplies.

You can go online and stop shipments. They will send you a postage paid box to mail back the machine. If you don’t want the stuff you can send it to me. I’m using it nearly 24/7 as something is wrong with my lumbar spine. I’m sorry you’re dealing with this. It’s a godsend for me.
