A & R Complete Service - Unresolved hvac issues and poor customer service
Unresolved HVAC Issues and Poor Customer Service We first contacted A&R Complete Service in early September because our HVAC unit wasn’t working. The system would only blow air constantly and wouldn’t turn off. A tech came out and “fixed” the issue. The air conditioner started working, but the fan kept running nonstop. The tech came back and finally got...

Horible followup and customer service. Referral of the home warranty company, I'd rather pay than use again.
Horrible company!
Horrible company! Run. They lied to me about the work they did on my A/C unit. They charged me 600 dollars and did NOTHING! They are extremely dishonest, unprofessional, and rude. Go somewhere else. They even refused to give me a refund.
This company is terrible
This company is terrible. I used them because of my home warranty. They didn't fix my problem. I called a licensed electrician and they told me that A & R Complete Service Corp put in the wrong part, and my unit nearly caught fire. Plus, the technician even used my wall as a bathroom.
Horrible service already and they haven't even fixed anything
Horrible service already and they haven't even fixed anything... They don't answer their phones. And once you do get in contact with someone, they then turn off their phones also so you can't reach anyone. This is ridiculous and I'm very unhappy with this company already before the job even gets started...
A&R Complete Service, Corp was called out by *** due to issues with my air conditioner
A&R Complete Service, Corp was called out by *** due to issues with my air conditioner. They were on time and professional. They called me like I asked to tell me when they were 5 minutes away so I could put my dogs in their kennels before they came. They figured out the problem and fixed my system fast and good. I have a really old A/C system that I think will need fixing again. When that happens, I'll be glad to have them come back.
This company is a real jerk
This company is a real jerk. A&R came to our brand new house in Reno to check out our AC thingy. They said we gotta fork over a whopping $1,000 to replace the cold stuff. We were like, "What the heck?!" So we called up this other company that's been working on our place for ages (A&R was sent by our new home warranty thingy) and they said our AC thingy was just fine. A&R was probably hoping we were dumb enough to just hand over a grand without doing any research. Plus, the dude who came was a total jerk, almost like he wanted to fight us. We're gonna report those jerks to the ComplaintsBoard.com right away.
A&R Complete Service Corp technician from Reno was super rude at first!
A&R Complete Service Corp technician from Reno was super rude at first! The company stopped fixing our furnace in the middle of it, and we only found out after two weeks of freezing in the cold and snow that they won't be coming back because they don't have a technician available in our area anymore. They said they were waiting for a part, but I had to call them every other day to check on the progress because our house was freezing and I was worried about our pipes freezing too. It's so frustrating and disappointing, I tell ya! Now we have to keep using the heaters we bought until our warranty company can find someone else to start the whole process again.
The A&R technician was so bad, I can't even
The A&R technician was so bad, I can't even. He had no clue about our unit and said it needed a cleanin'. But get this, he wanted to cut a hole in it! Like, seriously? We had it cleaned two years ago and all you gotta do is unbolt this casing thingy and lift it off. Duh!
And get this, he said we needed four times the Freon we just added two weeks ago. But we got it done by another AHS provider, so who's right here? I think we know the answer.
Then he had the nerve to say our unit is as old as the house, which was built in 1978. And get this, he said it won't cool our second floor 'cause it's too old. He said we gotta replace it and he'd tell AHS to do it. But guess what? He didn't make the recommendation. What a liar!
So, I called A&R to let 'em know this guy was a big fat liar. And you won't believe it, they got all up in my face and started fightin' back. They said they don't make replacement recommendations. Can you believe that?
I'm tellin' ya, this A&R technician was a joke. And A&R themselves, they're no better. Stay away from 'em, folks. They're just trouble.
The A & R tech that worked on my furnace was really rude and hard to work with
The A & R tech that worked on my furnace was really rude and hard to work with. My furnace went out and my insurance company assigned them to fix it. The first tech that came came out twice to measure the opening of the ceiling entry to the attic. He gave these measurements to my insurance company so they could order the furnace. The furnace arrived and the second tech that came said it wouldn't fit the opening and asked for it to be made bigger. I had to call a general contractor to come and check, and they found that the furnace could fit through the existing opening. This second tech didn't seem interested in doing the work. I called the manager and asked for a different tech to do the installation and shared my concerns. But they didn't listen. They sent the same tech to do the install, and it took him a whole day to realize he didn't have one part needed to finish the job. I had to wait two more days for him to come back. This whole thing with them took about 5 weeks, and I had no heat during that time.
A&R left me without AC for 13 days
A&R left me without AC for 13 days. I have a senior citizen that lives with me, as well as a daughter, a husband, two birds, and two dogs. We put the work order in on August 27. He ordered the part on September 2! If I could give zero stars, I would! When they initially came out, they diagnosed that the compressor was bad. Once the part finally came in, the technician installed the compressor and then charged me $770 for Freon, which I did not know was not covered by my home warranty! They also demanded it had to be CASH or there was a 4% upcharge! This company is a scam, and I am literally going to sue them! We live in Las Vegas, and it is 115° outside. To have to wait two weeks to get your air-conditioning fixed is absolutely ridiculous and a liability for A&R! After they installed the compressor, they broke my electrical box and tried to blame it on the electrician that never touched it! They left the box just hanging off the wall. When they did come back to replace the box that they broke, they put the wrong fuses in, so we had to go and buy our own. A&R, be ready for your lawsuit! Beware, do not use this company. I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy! Horrible customer service, and they upcharge everything! They should be out of business for their unprofessionalism! They don't know what they are doing. Even the receptionist in the office is completely rude! BEWARE, they are complete scammers!

this company is a total scam, they never showed up at my property but they charged me for the service. They were scheduled to show up between 9 and 1 on Monday, but they never showed up. However, they have charged my credit card.
I been without A/C for over a week
I been without A/C for over a week. It's 115 degrees and I got kids and animals. I called last Monday morn, tech came out Tuesday and I was told the company gonna call me when part arrived. When I didn't hear back by Thursday morn, I was real concerned so I called. The lady who answered phone told me it was a special order part that my home warranty company didn't cover. I paid the amount right away. It's now Monday late afternoon and I still ain't got no A/C with no repair date.
I called A & R Complete Service Corp to fix my AC
I called A & R Complete Service Corp to fix my AC. They came over, but on their second visit to find the leak, they told me I had to pay $390 for refrigerant before they could start any work. I paid the money, but they still couldn't figure out the problem until their third visit. The prices they quoted for the repairs were different from what my home warranty had told me, and I got into a heated phone call with the receptionist. I asked for a refund of the $390 I had already paid since they never added the refrigerant. She hung up on me and wouldn't answer my calls. I want my money back right away.

I'm currently renting a home and the home warranty sent these guys over to fix my AC
I'm currently renting a home and the home warranty sent these guys over to fix my AC. The first time they came, they said they couldn't fix it 'cause it was frozen. The second time they showed up, they demanded $600 in cash 'cause apparently my home warranty doesn't cover the Freon. But guess what? My home warranty actually does cover it, so they sent someone else the next day. This new guy said it wasn't the Freon that needed fixing, but now it was the compressor. I questioned his ability to diagnose the problem, and he said he wouldn't come back. So here I am, eight days later, still without AC in my home. This company is a total scam and they have no clue what they're doing. I've got proof that they keep changing their story about what's wrong with my AC.
Warranty issue with a purchased item
Warranty issue with a purchased item. This refers to a Dispatch ID. Service address is provided. Contractor: A & R COMPLETE SERVICE CO. Service Item: Air Conditioning (Central-Electric). Just a little over a month after moving in, the air conditioning unit acted up. It would work for a couple of hours, then stop. So we requested service. The warranty provider denied the request based on the technician's report. Instead of repairing the existing problem, the technician proposed selling a new unit for a high price, which is not reasonable for a small condo. This seems like an attempt to take advantage of an elderly resident in need of air conditioning during the hot Las Vegas summer.
The company came out around March 29th, I was told the leak was from the condensate drain, they stated it was clogged
The company came out around March 29th, I was told the leak was from the condensate drain, they stated it was clogged. They came out again on April 19th for same issue and they said same thing, they had me get a *** to clean out the junk in the tray. After we cleaned what they said, I noticed the leak coming from the top of the unit, I called them back and they came out the next day and checked the top of the unit where we discovered that's where the leak was coming from. The company turned the water down to the unit and advised they would need to order parts or new unit to replace it, I have called multiple times to get an ETA on when they would be out to replace said parts and they scheduled to come out May 19th to check the leakage and secondary damaged caused from this, they did not inform me they would not be showing and still no ETA on parts. There is now damaged drywall from the leak in the garage and one of the bedroom floors is wet and possible mold.
A & R Complete Service Corp is not keeping their word on the 30-day labor warranty or the 90-day parts warranty that they promised in writing
A & R Complete Service Corp is not keeping their word on the 30-day labor warranty or the 90-day parts warranty that they promised in writing. This happened because my Home Warranty contract expired. My A/C unit stopped working in early June , so I contacted my home warranty company (***) and they sent A & R to fix it multiple times. On June 10, they replaced the king valve and added 9 pounds of R-22 freon. I had to pay $630 out of my own pocket, plus a $100 service fee from ***. However, the unit still didn't work, and they determined that the compressor needed to be replaced. They installed a new compressor on June 13, and I had to pay $175 out of pocket for that. The unit ran fine until July 5.
Unfortunately, my *** warranty expired on June 27. When I called A&R for a service call on July 6, they informed me that I would have to pay out of pocket since I no longer had a home warranty. I mentioned their written warranty on my signed receipt, which clearly states that labor is guaranteed for 30 days and parts for 90 days. However, they refused to honor their own warranty unless I used a warranty company. Nowhere in their warranty does it say anything about needing to use a home warranty company. Feeling frustrated, I decided to hire an independent company on July 6, and they discovered that my unit was once again out of R-22 freon. The technician informed me that the king valve was not the source of the leak.
I reported an air conditioning issue to my home warranty company on 6/08/22, and they gave me the name and contact info for a service provider
I reported an air conditioning issue to my home warranty company on 6/08/22, and they gave me the name and contact info for a service provider called A & R Complete Services. I reached out to them, and they scheduled an appointment for 6/10/22. A technician came to my house as planned and diagnosed the problem as a "bad Defrost Control Board." Unfortunately, the part wasn't available locally, so they had to order it from the *** distributor in Arizona. They said it would take 3-4 days for the delivery, estimated around 6/17. They assured me that once the part arrived, they would call to schedule the installation.
Fast forward to 6/18/22, and I hadn't heard anything from A&R about the part. So, I decided to give them a call. It took a while, but I finally managed to speak to someone on 6/20. They informed me that the part still hadn't arrived. I was quite upset about this and demanded to know where the part was. They promised to follow up with the technician and call me back later that day or the next. On 6/21, I did receive a call from A&R explaining that the part order was never "processed" when the technician initially placed it. They were now re-ordering the part, and it would take another 3-4 days to be shipped.
Today is 6/28/22, and I still haven't received any updates from A&R about the status of the part. I've been calling them every day since 6/25, trying to get an update. I've also been in touch with my home warranty company, who has been calling and emailing A&R to request an update. Every time I call, the person on the other end tells me that they can't access the part status in their system because their computers are down. They either promise to call me back or I get a recording saying that no one is available to answer the call.
This company's customer service is extremely poor, and they lack professionalism. I've been relying on two evaporative coolers and three tower fans to keep my house bearable, and my power bill is higher than usual for this time of year.
On July 26, I requested a service from A&R Complete Service Corp with a home warranty
On July 26, I requested a service from A&R Complete Service Corp with a home warranty. They scheduled an appointment for July 29 to check my A/C. Living in Las Vegas with temperatures over 100 degrees and having two pets, it was essential to fix it. My mom stayed for the appointment as I was away. Jeremiah from A&R found the A/C frozen and said it needed defrosting. Instead of waiting, he suggested replacing it. My mom asked for a repair attempt. He later called to report a leak, stating the warranty covered the repair but not the Freon, costing $1,100. He advised a new A/C due to its age and potential for recurring leaks, offering financing for an $11,000 unit. I postponed the decision until I returned home. After no updates, I called the warranty company on July 31. On August 16, still without diagnostics from Jeremiah, I suspected he was delaying for personal gain. Two days later, he reported only a leak and coolant need to the warranty company, omitting the replacement suggestion. Now, the warranty company is reluctant to proceed correctly, possibly influenced by gender biases and ignoring the warranty terms.
A&R was hired to fix AC repair 6 hrs After techs left the initial noise issue as well as smoke started again called & not able get tech till 4
A&R was hired to fix AC repair 6 hrs After techs left the initial noise issue as well as smoke started again called & not able get tech till 4 days. Our home warranty company hired A&R Complete Service Corp on 7/11 to fix our central air unit that was making extremely loud noises which escalated to it burning out. Our claim through *** was expedited due to the excessive heat conditions the day the claim was made (117 degrees) and our family which includes babies, being without air in the home. Despite the expedited work order, the company did not show till 7/13 for a diagnosis and eventually repaired on 7/17 (6 days later and without air). Unfortunately, 6 hours after the repair was made the issue resumed but now there was smoke. We contacted A&R numerous times Monday morning to see if someone could come out asap because the noise complaints from our neighbors were upsetting as well as the smoke coming from the unit. The response from Nancy at A&R was astonishing. She said that her company could not come back to our home until possibly Wednesday because their were other work orders waiting to be fulfilled and if we didn't like the noise we could turn off the unit. My husband proceeded to tell her that we have little ones in the home and we could not go without air which she then proceeded to say "we can choose if we want the heat or the noise but they will not come out till Wednesday". The heat was so hot we needed to stay with another family. I later asked for the manager David and expressed my frustration to him about his company not completing the job and we having to go to the back of the line again, also that we recorded the noise that the unit was making from down the street as well as the conversations my husband graciously had with Nancy and Davids response to my recordings were that the only reason my husband was speaking kindly is because he was recording his conversation. The techs also asked for payment before services were provided and said that they don't start services until payments are made. That is not the protocol of *** and not how we are use to doing business with our warranty company so we were a little taken back. After a few awful reaction and responseless conversations with A&R's receptionist Nancy who showed no remorse for the issue or resoloution, as well as the manager David; I looked up the reviews and saw a 2 star rating and a plethora of complaints regarding Nancy. I cannot see how they sustain a ComplaintsBoard.com rating. I mentioned to David that if my neighbors make a noise complaint on our property then we will have big issues and he just laughed saying " they can't complain or call the cops for the AC" he showed NO concern as to how loud of a disturbance the unit was. Their resolution was to turn off the AC? We waited for service like every other customer to get a diagnosis, finally got the repair which was obviously not done correctly because the problem was worst 6 hours later, which you would think if the contractor heard the unit was smoking their would be a sense or urgency to repair the work they started because good quality work as well as good customer service goes along way. Well...our experience shows that customer care and reputation has NO place at A&R. What if I was an elderly person with no energy to fight for good service or service that I paid for and was living in a home that was 95 degrees-- What then? Terrible, Horrible!
