I called AAA the morning of Monday, 11/13/23 and stated that I needed my vehicle to be towed to my mechanic. The person on the phone took my information and said that I would have a tow truck at my house at 12:20 p.m. I received a call from the Providence office stating that the driver was 15 minutes behind schedule. I did not receive any phone calls or text messages throughout the entire day. I called several times and was told that dispatch would call me back with an update. I never received a call. I called again and again and was told that they were extremely backed up and may not get to my home until 4:00 or 4:30 pm. I still never received a call or a text. I can somewhat understand the driver being behind schedule, but no one had the courtesy to call me at all throughout the day. I called a couple more times and was put on hold for 10 minutes with no resolution. I was told that I could have my mechanic tow my vehicle and would be reimbursed by AAA because they could not/did not show up. I finally cancelled the call because it was after 5:00 p. and my mechanic was closed. I asked for a follow up call to explain what happened and I have still not received anything as of 5:54 this evening. I have been a Plus Member since 2011 and this is the worst experience I have ever had. Thank God it was not an emergency. Also, I was not able to travel to my business anytime today, so it was a total loss. Totally unacceptable, If someone could respond to this complaint and provide a way for me to contact someone at AAA so I can provide the personal information regarding the entire situation I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.
Claimed loss: I was not able to go to my business for the entire day. I was not able to properly address any situation that arose throughout today, 11/13/23. Again, totally unacceptable.
Desired outcome: I would like someone to contact me to explain what happened. I would like to know where I can send the invoice from my mechanic for having my car towed to his facility. I was told that AAA would reimburse me.
