auto loan buyouts without knowledge to car purchaser
How about a class action lawsuit. I bought a car from a crooked dealership and found out they sold the car I was purchasing and put me in a loaner and than sold the contract for the LOANER to AC auto pay. Now they are hounding me for money for a vehicle I drove for 2 weeks. And refuse to send me a copy of the contract I supposedly signed with them.
unprofessional
If zero stars was a option I would. Auto pay is the worst car loan company to deal with. They lack of communication they are unorganized and their employees are dishonest. They will make you jump through hula hoops just to be disappointed. I had my car loan with them for two years and it got paid off with a insurance settlement and they told me that they were sending me my refund portion of the settlement and after a while I started to wonder where it was. The director kevin barry who is very unprofessional and rude and disrespectful told me straight out of his mouth "i'm not cutting you a check." with no explanation but i'm entitled to the remainder of that money. Crazy how a company can be ran by a rude a disrespectful person and yet he laughed the whole time on the phone and thought it was funny. I will never ever spend money with them again or refer anybody to them they are a joke and thinks their customers are as well! Their employees will tell you one thing and it will be a different ball game it took them 2 months to release the title to my car when I was told "2 weeks" a shame.
car title
I paid my suv off three months ago and they are just now getting around to send my title. There excuse is they hold it 90 days so you do not go to the bank and cancel payment after the pay off. That is stupid and I have never heard of this before. Thinking on calling a lawyer about it and see what I can do.
rip off
Ac auto pay is a company that bought out an old car loan company named leap auto. This was done with no reference to alerting customers this was being done even though ac auto pay states that leap sent out a letter and also ac auto pay sent out a notice. This is a bold face lie. I received one notice. "welcome to ac auto pay we own your loan you previously had with leap auto". "more payment info will be following this letter in 7 to 10 days". I called for three weeks straight, I gave 3 different numbers to reach me by when I had to leave a message". They never returned a call. They shut off my car stating my payment is over due which its not. And then when I said ok I will pay you my regular payment but it will be early. I get told no you owe late fees, there is also our acquistion fees and also monthly title fees from the state where you reside. I never got an answer as to why on the title fees and license fees when I already had up to date plates they couldn't give me an answer. I said ok what is the total you feel I owe. They quoted me 3x the amount of my original monthly payment. I am on a fixed income. I said how am I supposed to pay it.. I was told"well you shouldn't have spent your money. What do you do with all your money? Don't you realize you have a payment due (which it wasn't even due). They turned the car off and refused to even remotely try to work with me. No supervisor ever available. This company is charging me 500.00 because they acquired my account from an out of business leap auto and I have no vehicle I said ok well it will have to wait two weeks till I get paid. They said no. You have 5 days or we will repossess. I said take it. So now the vehicle is waiting for them. I refuse to pay them for taking over my account when I was never notified only once by mail and then never a word from them. This company is a scam just like leap auto. They have been reported to the bbb and the attorney general in the state where I live and also in colorado where they are located.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Paid off our van 2 months ago, STILL no title. Think I of getting a lawyer. DO NOT do business with them. Awful company.
I just received a letter in the mail from AC Auto trying to get me to refinance with them. There was a number to call to opt out of receiving these letters. I called the number and pushed 3 to permanently opt out. They then asked me for my social security number in order to opt out! I will not give out that information to some unknown company, just to stop receiving their annoying letters! I will just continue to throw them away.
I paid off my SUV 6 months ago and they said they had sent my title through the mail about 5 months ago. There is no record or tracking number that any transaction was made. I've called them around 10 times and each time they have either hung up on me or left me on hold for over an hour just to tell me that they sent it through their end and if I want another I would have to pay out of pocket and file for a lost Title I never received. I am so infuriated with them. They are a Scam. Please everyone stay away from this company, I am strongly thinking about sueing them.
Leap Cars was fine. A C Auto totally agree with them taking over calling me telling me they will not tolerate what LEAP did. THE one lade is still there Michelle is a " I can't wait til God get her situation" dirty dog at all times! I paid on time for 5 years, my car taken with 4 notes left and mow 2 more years to pay. NO compassion, but the way the world is now, she will have a day of trouble and will dream of how she has dealt with others.
DO NOT do business with this firm! They are very unprofessional and the customer service is a joke. I tried to speak and the female that I spoke to constantly tried to talk over me, not allowing me to say anything and was extreme rude. They are a deceptive, cracker jack business that I regret ever doing business with,
I paidmycar off two months ago and still haven't gotten a lien release!
i have filed a lawsuit against ac autopay for not following federal laws i was told i paid the car off but they wanted additional 245.00 for the remaining finance charge you do not pay remaining finance charge when you do a pay off further more i was being charged more on monthly payments then what was originally set up before accounts were sold to ac autopay
i was done the same way same day i received this letter is the same day they called and wanted to know why i was late making my payment even though they just uploaded my account i bought my vehicle through carheart in danville wva they sold all of our accounts to this company i have been harassed by ac auto pay further more when i tried to pay my vehicle off they wanted me to pay all of the finance charges which is against federal laws further more they are over a month behind in given credit for my payments and they charge me late fees for this and additional finance charges even though the finance charges are built into the payments and iam paying more on the monthly payments now then what was set up i also filed a complaint with the BBB as well as Consumer Complaints AC Auto Pay never answered
no custmoer service
My loan was recently sold to ac autopay. This company has no regards to customer service. I repeatedly asked for a due date change. I was told on multiple occasions that it will be submitted for the change. Who know they didn't want to change my due date? I can go into my entire situation but I won't. I will stick to the facts. I eventually spoke with chuck blommaert the director of loan servicing. Here are the main points of that conversation.
1. You have to disclose all personal information and not get an attitude with the reps in order for them not to cut the switch off on your car. If you get an attitude this all your fault.
2. If you wanted to make a partial payment on deliquent (1 day) you can't because their investors would wonder why they only took part of the payment. (hmmm... I think they would rather something over nothing)
3. When you request a due date change and it eventually goes through, anytime between your original due date and the new date is given as a courtesy. Not because your actual due date changed.
4. It is ok for reps to hang up in the face of customers.
5. Straight out the mouth of chuck "we don't need repeat business from customers" the reason for no customer service.
6. Make your payments on time. :-) according to chuck. (patronizing... Lol)
7. They have some sort of 10 day grace period but they can and will cut the switch off on your car after being 1 day late.
8. Per chuck if you get an attitude, its ok for the rep to get one back because you shouldn't have been upset.
Overall this company has no regards to customers and these types of business should not be allowed to do this. Because they truly don't need the customer to repeat service they don't have to be customer oriented. After speaking with chuck I told him all I really wanted was a handle on the customer service issues. But he basically said this was my fault and the reps did right. Especially the two that hung up in my face. One that actually said "I don't need this i'm hanging up now". I understand sometimes I can be a #, but I still believe that reps should be taught to de-escalate a call not go toe to toe with a customer. I was told to make payments on time or refinance because we don't want to deal with customers who pay late. This company does not need your business and doesn't care. My car was cut off in spite and employees should not have so much control over something so crucial to everyday life. It's not fair to the consumer who's just trying to make it. And to think this all started because I wanted to actually pay what I did have!
This is an unethical company that regularly commits fraud, this company should be forced to cease and desist immediately.
My complaint is my vehicle was bought out by A/C Auto from Rodeo Motors. back in 2011.I WAS NOT NOTIFIED!t when I did get notification it was by a letter much after it was done. i was ask to pay from both companies at the same time. I should have known something then. I called they stated they were the leinholder and everything transfered over to them. I do have a phone and an right to know what was going on but I guess I was extinct and didnt matter, but Im important to enough to get my money. I have been with this company for from 11/2011 to 9/2015 and my vehicle was reposessed last month 09/2015. The representatives always inform or tell you different amounts and lies. I got into a struggle financially and I was told they would work with me in catching it up, but low and behold I awaken to my car MISSING! it was repossessed. I managed to explain to them again like on numerous months before the reason for my lateness but it was disregarded this time. I owed approx. 5, 000.oo at that time so I managed to make a deal with them or him(Elvin) understood and was sincere so I paid $2, 000.oo lied to again stateing he would work with me until 10/2015 to pay another 1, 500.oo but now that its close to pay off they are trying to rip me off. I now owe what i was told in 09/2015 was 2, 800.oo now they state its 3, 400.oo. I dont know what kind of company this is but Im getting an attorney!. Ive paid these people over 20, 000 and they are trying to rip me off over 3, 000. cause I got behind but caught up thats what ELVIN stated. My fiance was hit by a car while walking and is now paralyzed from it thats why I got behind and you all cant work with this rip off of 3, 000.oo. Im looking into further measures!
I think companies/dealerships that are selling our loans to Auto Pay need to disclose that this may be an option in the future and that would not only make you aware that it could happen but i wouldnt buy a car from that dealership if this was the case in the first place! The better business bereau needs to enforce this notification to potential customers. My loan was sold by Keith Price motors in Aurora, Colorado who has either moved or closed down in the last few months. I had no knowledge Auto Pay had even bought my loan until they called me one day to update my address and i was very confused.
poor customer service
Called to pay my bill which was 8 days over-due. Got into exchange with ivan who stated he is going to shut my car down, because he didn't attitude. I called ac auto pay to pay my bill which is set up to come out bi-weekly. I was 8 days past due, when I called I spoke with ivan or mr. Neimann. He proceeds to go through a series of questions to verify my...
