Cancel it by saying it was a fruadulant charge. Tell your credit card company you have no idea how they got your card regardless. Since these guys are crooks it takes acting like one to get your money back. . . So be it

I apparently ordered the product on March 3, 2009. The $1.99 was debited on the 5th. I called on the 20th (at 2am when I got home from work) and saw the charge on my account. The first CSR said that since the order was placed on 03-03 that I should have cancelled by the 17th because I only had 14 days. I had a lively discussion with her for approximately 10 minutes. I got out of her the name of the company and an address 305 W. Broadway #11, NY, NY 10013. I also received a cancellation number. Then I called another number and spoke with someone else. That lasted about 10 minutes. After the call, I went to the cupboard and realized that the pills I received were from a different company. (I was trying to save money by using different free trials. That's what I get for trying to be frugal.) I contacted that company, who cancelled my subsequent shipments, and they gave me a return number for that product. Once I realized that I didn't have the berries from Nature's Acai Berry, I called a third time and asked for a tracking number since I had not received the product. The CSR said that the tracking number was on the envelop so she didn't have it. I asked how it could have been shipped from the warehouse without a tracking number put in a computer somewhere. She stated that I had 15 days to cancel my order. It's obvious that the CSR's don't have the same story. She said that she would see to it that a bottle was hand delivered. I asked how I could return it, since it wouldn't be opened, and be credited the 79.96. She gave me the name of Amir Sanchez Nutraceuticals, 2100 S. Vermont, Torrance, CA 90502. I asked for an RMA number. Then she said that she would credit my account now. I said, "Well, that would certainly save you the additional shipping and handling. So, you don't send the product and I get a refund." She replied, "Yes." Then she gave me a refund reference number and said that it would take 10-15 business days to receive the funds. We'll see. I am filing complaints with the BBB, the Attorney Generals for the State of Washington, the Attorney General of the United States, and the Federal Trade Commission. What a chore for trying to see if a product really works without spending an arm and a leg. My daughter went to Walgreen's and paid 11.95 for a bottle of Nature Acai - 1000mg. No hassle, no nsf fees, no headaches, no hours of writing to state and federal agencies, no cancelling of ridiculous programs. Once again, take head - If it looks too good to be true, it is. Lesson well learned.

not only did I fall for a similar scam but on the back of a small piece of paper giving instructions was several names of no fault billing companies that were going to charge my account for their products if I did not cancel. When I tried to cancel they found my name in their system but could not cancel until my account had been activated by the shipment of the first item. So they could not cancel until I had been billed one time. When I attempted to cancel the acia berry I was given a cancelation number but charged anyway. I to had to cancel my debit card and get a new one.

I ordered a "free" sample for $4.95 shipping & handling and within two weeks was charged $59.95 on my credit card plus $6.95 web access fees plus $9.95 membership fees. This is a huge scam for which everyone should be aware. The product is NOT FREE. Furthermore, it did not agree with me and so I called and was told I could return what was left for a refund. This cost me $11.95 in postage and I waited weeks for the refund. I had to phone them 3 times before they finally gave it to me. In the meantime an auto-shipped parcel arrived which I never signed up for and a further $59.95 charge appeared on my credit card. I refused the parcel and am still waiting for the credit. MasterCard are sending me a dispute form and have said that they are confirmed scam artists and that people should be very wary of purchasing anything on the web using their credit card. Acai Berry say I agreed to the web access charges and the membership fees when I agreed to the terms & conditions. RUBBISH! They make you think all you are requesting is a so called "FREE SAMPLE" costing you "ONLY" $4.95. THIS IS A LIE AND THEIR BUSINESS PRACTICES ARE FRAUDULENT! DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM.

I ordered a free trail supply of acai berry for the cost of shipping only. I continue to to get products although I have attempted to counsel several times. My credit card is billed every month for a couple of products totaling as much as $94.00 each. I have contacted them by phone, and by email. I spoke with my credit card company this morning ask them not to accept anymore charges from them. Hopefully contacting the credit card company with solve the problem. Acai Berry is unreasonable and dishonest to communicate with. Good Morning America did a segment on them this morning. Also Oprah and Dr. Oz do not agree that they support their claims regarding them using their names. If you are having problems with acai berry, do not give up because they are rip off artist.

CANCELLING YOUR CREDIT CARD IS THE ONLY WAY TO GO!

I ordered the "Not so Free" trial in January. After I received the trial (full 1 month supply) I read the small amount of information that came with the bottle and called the only number I could find. I was left on hold for 45 minutes then disconnected, then left on hold for 30 minutes and finally got to talk to someone from India that took even more information from me before telling me their system was down and that I would need to call back and cancel. I called again and got someone else who yelled at me for being upset about the inability to cancel and return the product, then got disconnected AGAIN. I came across all of the complaints about trying to cancel the automatic shipments and got worried because I used my debit card to pay for the shipping and handling. I immediately went to my bank, they were very quick to cancel my card number and issue me a new one. I was fortunate enough to only get charged shipping and handling. I never used or returned the bottle I received, but also have not gotten any more shipments.

DO NOT SIGHN UP FOR THIS SCAM! You give this company your credit card information and they will screw you like they screwed me. The $4.99 trial is only for a 14 day period and if you don't call and cancel your so called membership with them within that time, they will continue to charge your card... like they did mine. I have 1 bottle of Acai Berry and it cost me $163.91. How unbelievably pathetic is that.

I have been calling this company since February 2009 to cancel my orders. Each time I call I speak with someone from another country (outsource) who after much explaining tells me I will receive a credit. I have sent the supplements back and have tracked the pkgs so I know the company has rec'd the products back.
I have not rec'd credit on my credit card.
This is getting out of hand as I am reading other comments.
Please help!

I ordered a free trial bottle of acai berry online, and when i tried to cancel the trial, i spent an hour fighting on the phone with a man i could hardly understand and who could barely understand me, only to be told that they could not find my account to cut my trial off. I demanded to speak to a supervisor, and the man i was speaking with told me his supervisor was too busy to speak with me, which i find completely unacceptable. I tried again 1 week later and spoke with a different man, fluent in english, who was extremely polite and very helpful. we closed my account with no difficulties, and i was allowed to keep the extra pills without having to send anything back to the company.

Unathorized charges made to my credit card. Asked rep for their mailing address but they "can't give out that information." I was assured the charges would not go through. Then they told me I would get a refund. If you call, they put you on hold and eventually it disconnects. This is definitely a scam. I filed a report with my home state Attorney General and the Florida Attorney General. I am also filing a police report. If everyone does this, something might help.

I had the same problem--except, being unorganized I didn't get the person's name answering the phone. I called the number 15 times and before I was connected to anyone each time it disconnected. Finally, a person answered and when I asked them to access my account they hung up. Another 10 calls later and I got a person, I told her I explained to her that I thought I was ordering a 1 time sample to try and was being billed. She told me I should have read the agreement ( don't remember even seeing it) and read it to me. It says nothing will be refunded even if product is returned. I told her it was a scam, she screamed at me and hung up. I went to my bank, and they told me that if I filled out this paper (not a difficult form to fill out either) that would be all I had to do, and they would pursue it legally. She told me it might not pan out, but that they would do it. I actually didn't follow through, because I unfortunately don't do that well, so the ACAI berry scammers got away with about $300 of my money. Wish I could plaster their names and home address all over the place. Any ideas?

i called to cancel my free trial of pure acai berry and was told my credit card was already charged for a monthly fee for a bottle that has not even been shipped and will not accept the unopened bottle if returned. the charge was $78.81 It was a 14 day trial and i was charged on 3-13-09 but only recieved the bottle 5 days ago. I dont think its fair to be charged for something not shipped and has been canceled before the shipment left the building. Its a scam. Most people dont read the fine print closely enough. You think your only paying $ 4.99 and can cancel before being charged and you cant.

You know I started off with some trust in this product and company in the very beginning especially after seeing the product on Oprah show with Dr. Oz.
I have to say that I am very dissapointed. Not in the product because it just dosen't work for me just as some things aren't for everybody. But in this company. I have cancelled this product and future shipments and charges. I have also cancelled the ebook and insider secrets on three different occasions now. Also yoiur website dosen't make consumers aware that there are three different phone numbers you have to call to cancel these products. But to no prevail my bank card keeps getting the charges for these products. I did opt out in time but every day I check with my bank (MandT) and there are new charges. It's a shame that I have to go through this for just what I understood was a trial for just $4.95 shipping and handling. I am forwarding this letter onto the Oprah show as well as my attorney and the Better Business Bureau because this has caused a lot of grief financially and mentally. I just don't now what else to do. Its a shame that I also to have to cancel my bank card that I've had for years just to stop the charges. Not to mention the numerous .50 cents internatioanal charges the bank charges for each charge itself. This website does not tell you that this company resides out of the country. Yet the one package I did receive came from Des Moines, IA and the address thats used for shipping purposes is Vasilissis Freiderikis, 331st Floor P.C. 1066, Nicosia, Cyprus.

after all the people that have been scammed too Oprah keeps the webpage up touting acai berry and the scammers links all over the place.. if anything at least this has opened womens eyes to Oprah, she wants you to think she's your friend but she is actualy just a snake trying to get into your wallet

it would take her about 1 min of airtime to warn people about this scam that she has helped along with acai berry publicy.. ONE minute! then everyone would know about it, and this scam would finally end

but noooooo., thousands of future victims can all be directly blamed on oprah

Oprah's On! So turn it off.

This appears to be a fraudulent company and needs to be closed. I have also been taken by this group. My suggestion is to contact your ATTORNY GENERALS OFFICE in your state and the state they are conducting business in. That is what I plan to do. If we all do this we may be successful in closing these FRAUDS! Jerry

As a victim of the same thing myself, if they refuse to return your money, or even if they do, cancel your card. They did the same thing to me, and on top of that, 2 weeks after the initial charge, and 1 week after calling 2 times for a refund with no success, they charged and overdrew my account again. I called my bank told them the charges were unauthorized, and they cancelled my card, and opened an investigation.

I have never heard of Acai Berry and one day I get an email from Acai Berry Edge confirming my order. I immediately reply and tell them that I did not place the order. I then get a call at work confirming the same order. I told the rep that I had never even heard of this stuff and demanded that she give me the last 4 digits of the card that was used so that I may cancel my card, which I immediately did. Over the next few days, I received at least 7 more emails from different acai berry companies claiming that I had placed an order (with the same card info). Some of the companies are: UltraGreen, Acai Berry Supreme, Acai Berry Marvel, and other variations. About a week later, I began receiving all of the trial bottles of the various Acai products. I started to throw them in the trash but held on to them in case these shady companies try to demand a return of their worthless product (one of them already has).

What is most concerning is that these companies (or one mastermind company) somehow got their hands on my credit card number - on a card that I NEVER used and still had in my wallet at the time the order was placed - my home address and my work telephone number. That is just odd. And way too suspicious.

Has this happened to anyone else? I would really like to investigate this further. I don't believe that some third person I.D. theft expert stole my card to order this crap - how would they benefit when the stuff was all shipped to my house? I believe that these companies are somehow getting their hands on the information and hoping that people don't catch it so that they can bill you and you are left to fight with your bank about the unauthorized charges. OR, you cancel the fraudulent order but they still try to bill you for the sample. Luckily I caught them early. And they messed with the wrong person because I am already in the process of complaining to my state Attorney General's office. Connecticut is a small state, they will look into it. :)

FIGHT BACK.

I too was sent another bottle and was charged on my credit card. I have called to complain and have gotten the royal runaround with them. I also was told I had 15 days to cancel but nowhere did I see that on the original order.I had sent the unordered bottle back and told them it was fraud since they refused to credit my account yet kept the returned non ordered bottle. They since called and said they had a problem issueing a credit to my credit card so they would mail me a check. That was 2 months ago and when I called to find out when they MAILED the check I was told it was in the process of being sent.
Another runaround. Still no check!
Why did I think there would be?
They need to be put out of business.

They are a huge SCAM! So i went online and I found the link and I thought about it but then i decided against it. I even saw this complaint board and refused to do the trial. Then I spoke to one of my friends and he told me he ordered it using the trial and he never had a problem, and he reminded me to cancel before the trial period was over. So I said ok why not and I went back to the site and got the 30 day trial. I was only supposed to be charged $3.95 for shipping and handling for the free trial. WHAT AND EFFIN LIE! I went to check my bank account the next morning just to make sure everything was on the up and up (plus I had to make sure I had enough for rent) and what do I find? A HOLD OF $82.53! They charged me the $3.95 all right, plus I guess they figured that I would love their product so much I wouldn't want to cancel before the trial period was over, so they tacked on another $78 and some change. I WAS LIVID! I called the 1-800 number in my conformation (the one that confirmed that they were only charging my card $3.95) and I swear the people I spoke to barely understood English. They said they canceled my subscription and I should receive my funds back in 24-48 hours. So I went ahead and called my bank to see if there was anything they could do to expedite it (cause now i didn't have enough for rent) and they said all they needed was for the company to send them a fax saying that they were going to refund me the charge. I called the scam artists back and asked if they could send the fax and they said no, none of the people who answered the phone were "allowed" to send a fax. At this point I was on fire. They left me on hold 5 times for maybe a total of 3 1/2 hours waiting to talk to a supervisor. It has been just about 48 hours and I WILL be calling them back tomorrow and if they try to collect the funds (it's still a hold on my account not dated to fall off till the 13th) I will file fraud charges with my bank. The pills came yesterday though but I don't even want them anymore. All I know is that this company really REALLY needs to get shut down cause they are criminals!

What a scam! How frustrating. Finally got an on-line chat support person, whom I repeatedly conveyed to that I wanted to immediately cancel and pay no further billings. I originally paid shipping and handling for my trial bottle, contacted the company (after many attempts by phone) online to cancel. Thought it was taken care of, no more products received at all. Then two months later they have billed my credit card, when I called to demand a refund, got some guy who tried to talk a streak around a refund! I am waiting now to see if my card gets refunded. I am furious! Is this how they make their money?!

Trial order of their product. The product did nothing for me. So I just forgot about it. Surprise.. a bottle of their product arrives with a $78.81 charge to my credit card. I returned the product, the bottle was still sealed, with instructions to cancel any further product and to issue a credit on my Credit card. This was done after several phone calls, I was put on hold for about 5 minutes...then disconnected. One time instead of disconnecting me the line was opened to hear people speaking Spanish as if they were in a work environment..i.e. office, out on a maufacturing floor. I finally hung up. I have tried repeatedly since to reach them by phone but to no avail.

2 more products have now been sent and they now charge $83.80 per bottle to my credit card, I have returned both of these bottles to them. On April 14th, I again tried their phone number..I actually got a live body, a man who had a foreign accent. I explained my problem and inability to reach them via phone. He assured me thousands of their customers are able to reach them daily...in essence calling me a liar. When I asked and them demanded a refund to my credit card he told me that on their site it is clearly explained that the trial offer is for 14 days and I have to notify them within those 14 days to cancel my order. I told him I saw nothing like that...perhaps in some fine print on the site which I did not see. Too bad...was the essence of his story. I told him I had returned the first one with instructions to cancel...tough, not within the 14 days. He finally consented to saying he would issue a credit to my credit card in the amount of $78.81 for the first bottle that I received after my trial order, which I returned to them with the instruction to cancel further bottles of their product. I asked to speak with his supervisor..he said his supervisor would tell me the same thing.. no refunds of the two more bottle which they had sent and I have returned. Finally I insisted I wanted to speak to his supervisor...he said all the supervisors were busy...I told him this whole operation was a SCAM! I then asked how could I communicate with a person of authority in his company...could he give me an address where I could write someone...he offered an e-mail address...services, advancedwellnessresearch.com...so I wrote a complaint to this address again requesting a refund. To date I have had no response. This company if obviously an off-shore operation as I also get a "foreign transaction fee" on my credit card. I urge any and all to avoid this SCAM, SHAM, company.

I too was the victim of this fradulant company. I requested the 14 day free trial. Prior to the 14th day (actually 11 days) I received a call from my Bank about the $86.85 charge. I had several email conversations with them. They said they would cancel my subscription (which I don't recall signing up for) and gave me a return authorization number to return the package and get a credit. I had complained that they were fradulent in their marketing and policies. The next day I received the package, immediately put the return authorization number on the package and took it to the post office. I have yet to receive a credit on my card. Now it appears they are no where to be found. Any help out there I would appreciate

I just got off the phone with them. Mine was Pure Acai Berry Pro, a free 14 day trial just pay shipping. I called [protected] and got a guy named John who was kind of hard to understand, sounded like he is from India. Told him to cancel it. Gave him order #, street address and phone number. He asked me why I wanted to quit, I just told him I didnt want any more. He told me it was cancelled but Im worried that my account will continue to be billed. I should have gotten some kind of confirmation or something. We will see. I didnt even want to try to agrue about refunding my money because I understood it was only a 14 day trial and I should have cancelled it within that time but didnt so thats my fault. Try this number for those of you who want to try to cancel. Got to hit 1 then you should be put through to someone. Good luck and hopefully Im truly out of this mess! Also if you phone is capable of doing so, maybe record the conversation. I should have done that! Oh well.

You can also call this number to cancel Acai X3 or other Acai products. I got this number off of a reply from another complaint I posted. THis guy gave me a cancellation number and an address to send back the products I did receive (so far one bottle) and he said he would refund my $88 within 5 days from receiving the product. I mailed the product back on Friday with a confirmation receipt, so by next week I should see a refund if their not just full of crap...but they charged more than what was on the terms and conditions and I never received my trial offer. CALL THIS NUMBER, it's a third party answering service [protected].

Hope this helps!
