I accept that from now on I should read the “terms & conditions” a lot more closely, but I just couldn’t conceive of a company offering a trial that starts the day you place the order. Well that’s exactly what this fraudulent crook of a company decided to do and I get some third world inept operator taking my call that tried her hardest to up-sell me on another month of a product I didn’t even want one month of.

So I tell her that I received the acai product on Monday it was now Wednesday and I’m wondering why they charged me $89 after 3 days, she replies no it is charged 10 days from the time you place the order, you failed to call us back in time. I exploded! What sense does that make to start my trial of something before I receive it? I didn’t get to TRY it! She say’s oh well since you’ve already paid for it now why don’t you try it for the rest of the month. This crap went on for way too long and finally when I was frustrated to the verge of tears did she give me the cancellation instructions.

Can you believe after the 10 times I said I didn’t want it had I hung up too soon I would have still been in the system to get hit again next month! Scam artists! I am pissed and still out of money. And the cancellation process is so detailed and ridiculous, and they cover their criminal butts by putting this stupid info in the terms they know people rarely read through completely. Uuuggghh!

I think Oprah should have to pay people back. I tried the free trial for this acai berry and two weeks later they 757bacharged my account $79.96. This is horrible. The ad did not say it was going to take my money or I wouldn't had done it. I am on a fixed income. This is a scam for people who are trying to lose a few pounds and wind up paying for it.

I ordered product on 2/9 and as of now I have not received product. I called on 3/4 and they tell me product was mailed and that I been charged full amount since I did not called with 14 days. Was told my account still show active which means product will continue to be billed month and if I wish to continue. I ask to close my account and didn't wish to continue with product since I have not gotten a change to try it! Why should I continue to pay for something I have not received? I was told they can not refund my money because I did not call within 14 days of order date. That is BS!

Call your credit card company! I had this same problem ! It was ridiculous. After I notified my credit card company I finally got in touch with the Acai Berry customer service and they had tons of BS excuses, saying it was "in the print on the page" that Iwould be charged 90$ a month. THEN, to make matters worse, I sent back one of the unopened, UNREQUESTED bottles they sent me and they only refunded me 50$! Saying they couldn't refund it 100%! Ridiculous. Stay awayyyy.

I went online and bought the trial which I received. However about 1 week later I discovered a charge on my Crapital One VISA for $87.13 for product I did not order and do not want and never received. I called the company and they gave me a cancellation number after yelling at me about whether I read the fineprint. Now Capital One is sending me letters htat I have to prove to them that I did not get this product and what the cancellation terms were. I never wanted anything but the trial, I paid for the trial. I called within 1 week and cancelled and deactivated any account they created for me at ACAIXL and confirmed with them that the product had not been shipped and I of course never received it but have a nightmare now with Cap One.

I ordered the "free" trial from this company and was immediately billed $4.99 in shipping, but 2 weeks later, I still have not recieved the product. I called the 800 number to try to cancel the order. It seemed suspicious that all the recording said was "Thank you for calling customer service. Someone will take your call as soon as possible." No company name was ever mentioned in the greeting. After being on hold for 25 minutes, I finally just hung up. I doubt they even have anyone available to answer calls. I checked my bank balance, and nothing other than the shipping charge has been made by this company. I consider myself lucky after reading all the other complaints. But I have a strong suspicion that if I wait another 5 days a $79.95 charge will appear. My advice to anyone else who has fallen for this scam - cancel your credit/debit card! It is the only way to stop them from stealing your money.

I too ordered the trial bottle for $4.99. I went to cancel the order and did not have the correct phone number, this was even after I had printed off the "terms and conditions" and used the cancellation number provided. After calling several numbers and explaining my issue one gentleman I spoke with gave me a number that ended up being a pizza resturant in a another state. It seems the only way I will be able to stop the charges is to cancel the credit card that I used.

the employee is only correct about the number. What he/she is not saying is that you will be robbed. When you place the order (that day) the trial period starts and they don't send out the order. The 2 weeks later you are billed 80.00 for THAT MONTHS order. Meaning they are billing you for something you will never receive. Upon calling they tell you they can't refund your monies. It does not matter that you have not received anything and probably will never receive anything. CANCEL IMMEDIATELY. When you do this you will find that they were also going to charge you for something else that you did not order. 3 cancellations are necessary and I can't tell you that they are legit. THESE PEOPLE ARE THIEVES. If you feel this is not true I recommend if you still order from this place, make sure you take down this number to their so called customer service [protected]) can cancel the order the MEMBERSHIP--that you never knew you joined. Maybe you can avoid the 80+ dollar bill they will charge you

But I finally got it..but I just now checked my statement and I was charged again for another service of acai berry this time for 39.95..Once again I had to call them back to get that refunded..this is turning into a nightmare I tell you..I dont want to keep checking my statement and seeing another thing charged to my account. dont try the brimlite product with it..cuz Im having problems with them too..they too charged my card with out my permision. So Im still waiting on that refund on that one..god forbid to trust anyone anymore.

Like any fool who was stupid enough to watch an 'Infomercial', I was taken in by Acai 'Detox' & their sister product 'Bromalite'. Both products while not effective in my case arrived as agreed. I ordered a 'sample' order for $3.95 and $4.95 respectively. I owe these grifters that money and paid them.

Much to my later surprise I received a credit card statement where they have billed me $87.13 for Acai Berry and $69.95 for 'Bromalite', I made no commitment to buy any of their stuff! I have tried repeatedly to call them and they simply put you on hold until you just give up!

I protested this amount to my credit card provider and learned that on my March statement I have been billed again! These people IMHO are simply running a cheap scam. I have NEVER failed to make a payment to any creditor. These people play on the desire of over weight people to improve themselves with no effort.

Don't be fooled by these clowns. Avoid these people. Also, the infomercial creates the impression that these two companies are the same; this may be true but they bill it under different names.

If you order a sample you are sure to be buried in paper work trying to get these false charges eliminated from your credit card. If you get subsequent orders of this garbage my advice REFUSE IT!...

I am really hot and bothered over these folks and am also reporting them to the Federal Trade Commission and the Florida Department of Agriculture that deals in scams and consumer fraud.

I too am a victim of this scam. I should have known better than to order something like this off the internet! All I wanted was the free trial and got duped by an add from someone claiming to be from my area so I figured it was legit! Don't trust this company! I now have a 79.96 charge on my credit card. I emailed the contact email off their site to insist that the charge be removed since I was out of state at the time. It's still there! So now I am calling both them and my bank to refuse this and any and all future charges. I also just noticed a second charge that looks weird. Has anyone been getting a second charge from DJMLIFESTYLEFITCOM ? There is a phone number that is the same as one of the ones listed above so I am thinking this is the same company trying to charge me twice for something I never ordered. Don't order this product! At least not from this company! They will rob you blind from the looks of it!

I agree the Acai Berry and Life Cleanse are a rip off. Learn from our mistakes do not go near this product. The company hails from Hollywood Florida, The numbers I have are [protected]=4109 or 08. I had to cancel my account at the bank and start a new one, because I was being charged $87.19 a bottle. Also we all get charged different monatary amounts, HUMMMM. It would seam to me, some guy went to a vitamin store, bought the mega size bottle of whatever, cut the bottles into 20 small bottles, got himself a sellers lisense and makes about, $1800.00.Who ever you are, God has his own time, BUT he gets to the bad guys, sooner or later...good luck with that!
No more scams for me!

I also have been experiencing the same thing with the trial order of Acai Berry. After using my debit card to pay the $5.95 shipping fee, my bank account was billed $88. within days of receiving my shipment. I called and cancelled the trial order and was given a confirmation number. After about 6 weeks, I was given a refund of the $88.00 but my account was then billed $29.95 by www.selfhelpff.com, which turned out to be a company called FitFactory, who is the billing company for Acai Berry.

Once they have your bank account or credit card number, the false charges don't stop.
This is a rip off company.
I have written to Oprah's website asking her and Dr. OZ to stop pushing this stuff, but have gotten no response.

Dont buy this stuff unless you don't mind these people robbing your account everytime you turn around. They send the "FREE" trial, and then hit your acount for about $30.00, then they send you a huge box of it and hit your acount two more times for about $60.00 each time before you have the chance to call them.

When you call them, you don't get a person, nor do you get the option of a person. You should be able to get the number off of your checking account. So now you get a person, you tell them to stop stealing money from your account. They are very kind, and tell you that they will stop. You are all happy that they have told you that they wont steal any more money from you.

Next time you look at your account online, you notice another hit on your account, so you call them again.

Get use to it, you will have to call them atleast 4 or 5 times to make them stop.

I called several weeks ago and ask to cancel this order which I did not order but because I knew they were going to send the order, I wanted to cancel it ahead of time. Well, bless my soul, they did not do what I ask and my credit card was charged for that order and I am mad as I can be and I need something done about it. Someonme is not listening to me and doing what they want to do and that is not right.
