I accept that from now on I should read the “terms & conditions” a lot more closely, but I just couldn’t conceive of a company offering a trial that starts the day you place the order. Well that’s exactly what this fraudulent crook of a company decided to do and I get some third world inept operator taking my call that tried her hardest to up-sell me on another month of a product I didn’t even want one month of.

So I tell her that I received the acai product on Monday it was now Wednesday and I’m wondering why they charged me $89 after 3 days, she replies no it is charged 10 days from the time you place the order, you failed to call us back in time. I exploded! What sense does that make to start my trial of something before I receive it? I didn’t get to TRY it! She say’s oh well since you’ve already paid for it now why don’t you try it for the rest of the month. This crap went on for way too long and finally when I was frustrated to the verge of tears did she give me the cancellation instructions.

Can you believe after the 10 times I said I didn’t want it had I hung up too soon I would have still been in the system to get hit again next month! Scam artists! I am pissed and still out of money. And the cancellation process is so detailed and ridiculous, and they cover their criminal butts by putting this stupid info in the terms they know people rarely read through completely. Uuuggghh!

This company charged my debit card twice for the amount of $87.13 without my consent. When I called them they said they could not do anything about this. This is definitely fraud. I want my money back, as this overdrew my account.

I ordered a free trial of there product Acai Berry, can not take it because it has green tea, tried to call them to cancel my order before they charge me anything after the trial period of 14 days. ( since I got burnt with another vendor) but I can not get in touch with them,
Looking at the complaint board I see many for this company.

I have had another company hold on to my credit card and charge it a year later.

I talked with my credit card company, they canceled the card and they dealt with the horrible company.

This might be an option for you.

This company ripped me off. I placed an order authorizing payment $87.13 from my account. The product arrived on the 9th day after purchase date. Window for returns: must be mailed within 10 days from date of purchase. I called and spoke to customer service representative who REFUSED to provide me with a Return Merchandise Authorization number. She told me to keep the product and that my request for a full refund was processed (and cancellation of any account they may have opened at the time I ordered the initial free trial) and gave me a confirmation number. She also said that she saw that they had only charged my account for the initial shipping payment (under $4) and nothing else. Soon after, within 2 weeks, there was the full charge of $87.13 listed on my bank account statement. I called another cust. srvc. rep from this company. Be warned, you are placed on hold for 20+ minutes each time and the CSR's sound like they are half way around the world; the line often cuts out and it is impossible to hear everything they say. The second CSR confirmed that he saw a confirmation number given me by the first person I spoke with requesting that the cancellation and refund be processed. He told me that I would receive a credit on my card. (As a sidenote, I could not hear him, and asked him to repeat the information multiple times. Apparently his patience is not very good, as he hung up on me.)

I filed a dispute with my bank account. I just received a letter from them stating that since this merchant would not accept the return of their merchandise, they could not assist me in receiving a refund. I am disgusted by this kind of lecherous scam. So if a company Refuses to provide a RMA or take back the product, (their return policy said to call for a RMA within 10 days of the purchase and a refund would be issued - apparently they are lying to all potential or actual consumers) they just get to keep the money? It sounds as if that should be illegal... advertising that they provide refund for returned product when they will not authorize returns! What kind of BS is that?

DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY. They will screw you over. By the way, you can get the same product (for which they charge $87.00) for around 10.00-15.00 in your local healthfood store. That was the reason I elected to TRY TO return the product.

If you have a similar experience, report it to the BBB!

File charges! Close the account. Getting a new card doesn't do you any good. They already have your personal information. All they have to do is take your old credit card info and add it on to your new one.

Telemarketers sell your personal information to other telemarketers

File fraudulent charges with your bank and the Federal Trade Commission in whatever State you were charged in

We ordered this product off the television, and sorry to say didn't check their terms and conditions. I have now cancelled this product TWICE, yet still getting charged with their monthly.

When Companies like this come up, they will do anything to keep these products going, and can keep charging your accounts, until you totally cancel your bank accounts, and start over.

No one will help, and is a form of fraud, but trying to catch them is hard.

I ordered the trial tablets tried to cancel and the number was disconnected of course by the time I disputed the charge with the bank because I couldn't get through the number the bank had was working. The company gave me confirmation number that I would get my refund then never did. I refused the shipment at the post office and they said that the tracking number on the product would work and that I didn't need a new one. Now the bank and the company are saying they never received the product. Yes the product they never should have shipped in the first place. The product they already said they would refund. You weren't given enough trial product to even see if it worked and then you weren't given enough time or the correct number to cancel. It is a gimic don't be a sucker like I was.

I think the reason why it's hard to catch them and hard to understand some of them when they speak is because some of them are in other Countries. Some of them are not Companies, they are just a group of Scam Artist that use a bogus address with a bogus product.

I read some of the testimonies on this website and some people are getting sick. Someone also posted the ingredients on this website and it said that one of the ingredients was not digestible by humans...

They will get caught. I saw on another website that they arrested a few of these Scam Artist.

I ordered the product and they confirmed it by sending an email that stated do not reply. They also said I was a member of the Fit Factory at 29.95 a month and cost smasher 2.95 a month. I tried to call the same day and cancel but was not able to speak to anyone. The phone number is fake. The call # was the same for all of this things. I filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission. I also called my credit card company and notified them.

I DID A smart thing I ordered it not trusting from the beginning so I put it on a gift mastercard with a limit of 25 dollars and this card is not a reloadable card so if they try to put anything on it they get the Berries if you know what I mean..
I have a simple solution for people who order things like this buy a mastercard or visa card from your local Cvs store or Walgreens purchase it for about 25 or up to 50 only, it costs 3.95. its worth it when they try to charge more to you they get stiffed..you need to be ahead of the game you can get your order and they cant bill you over and over..

Try it, its legal and they get stiffed not you.

PURE ACAI BERRY - A SCAM & FRAUD

This is clearly a scam and a fruad. Like everyone else I order this product online using my credit card. Oprah's name was behind it so I thought it was worth a try. I ordered it for $4.99 to pay for s&h only. No further charges were to be to applied. However, when I received the package there was a card enclosed with very small print. I took a magnifying glass and read it. It read I had 15 days to try the product and if I didn't cancel, I would be placed on auto monthly shipments of $75.00 that would be deducted from my credit card each month. I knew then there was something seriously wrong with this picture.

First off, by the time I received the shipment I only had 2 0r 3 days to try this product before the 15 day deadline. I immediately called the so called customer service to cancel. After giving the appropriate information to the rep, I was told it was cancelled and there would be no further charges or shipments. Was hopeful and thought everything was taken care of and that was the end. Yea Right!

Readers, guess what? Today I received my credit card statement and on it was 2 charges from this company. There was a $4.99 for the free trail bottle of Pure Acai Berry and $78.81 for what, I don't know. To date I have not received anything for the $78.81 charge. And guess what else readers. I noticed that the $78.81 charged was placed on the credit card on the 15th day. Didn't make a difference that I had called and was told it was cancelled.

I called the toll free number (1.866.964.1011) on the statement for hours and this is what I got: busy, no answer, recording that stated all customer service reps were on other calls, please stay on the line which was over 5 minutes each time, then automatically disconnected. Over and over I tried until finally, I got to speak to a poor english speaking female who stated she could only manually take my information because her computer was down. She had no knowledge as to why I was not cancelled as previously requested, or why $78.81 was charged to my credit card unauthorized. She stated she would input the information when her computer was back up and the $78.81 would be put back on my credit card. She said I should try back in 3 or 4 hours to follow-up.

After hanging up with her, I called my credit card company and reported this unauthorized charged. I was then put in touch with the credit card's investigation department where I reported this incident as an UNAUTHORIZED FRAUDELENT SCAM. The credit card company said they would work with me. Everyone who used a credit card should call their credit card company and report the unauthorized charges for starters.

There seems to be a variety of companies with many different phone #s. The company I used has 2 names: sales@advantagedwellnessresearch.com and trypureacaiberry.net. The phone # again is: 1.866.964.1011. Good luck! Also, what I noticed is that everyone is charged different prices.

After reading the many complaints and cries for help, I am outraged, really shocked and appalled at this. These people should not be allowed to get away with this public deliberate act of SCAM and FRAUD. We should make a stand and fight this. Anyone interested let me know.

My best to everyone who is caught up in this.

Yes, the same thing has happened to me. I ordered on Oct 13th, was charged 44.95 and called my credit card company when after 30 days, I received nothing. They credited my account and in December I received something else. I did not return it as it was not what I ordered. They checked and received verification I had placed an order. When I called them I was told it would be an 85 minute wait. I had tried three times in 30 days. Angry! I was furious and will be till I get my money back. They want a copy if the slip where it was returned. They continue to change their web site and the bottle and their policy

This is a complete ripoff. They tell you will get a free trial for $4.99 for shipping and never mention anywhere on the website or in their confirmation email that they will charge you another $80 later. I have been fighting with them for over a month. They promised to refund at least $60 of this and despite all their verbal and written promises to me and my bank, they have still not refunded this $60. I have filed complaints with the BBB, the FTC and the comsumer protection agency. DO NOT ORDER ACAI BERRY TABLETS!

I want my money back without hesitation and am ready to fight you to the last for taking my money for things i dint authorize you to.Secondly i want to cancel my credit card details with you. I am really disappointed that this could happen! I only ordered one small Acai Berry and purity last month, now this is what you have billed me for:
02/10-acai ber(14.99), 11th-purity (4.95), 13th -acai berry(4.99),
27th two acai diet-(78.81), 28th-74.95.

MY question is: is it fair ? just noticed that each time money is deposited that i want to pay my bill with i cant find it. on Friday $183.10 was deposited into my account and you ripped it off. I need to talk to someone now.

This company is a complete rip-off. They claim to give you a 14 day free trial and charge you before you even receive the porduct. I tried contacting them and was told to leave my name and number and someone would call me back. I have not even received the product and have been calling leaving my information for 8 days in a row with no return call from anyone. I am seeking legal actions against hthis company and it's owners and the customer service department. I spoke with a Nicole Lopez who said she simply takes the information and fowards it, but cannot guarantee that someone will call you back. And the [protected] number is no better. It is simply another number to call the same call center and get the same runaround.

My story is almost identical to another person's I saw today.

On 2/10/2009 I saw an advertisement online for two separate products, ACAI BERRY and LIFE CLEANSE. The total cost was suppose to be only the shipping fees of $3.95 each. I ordered both products and was charged shipping on 2/13 and received them separately on 2/17/09 & on 2/19/09. On 2/25/09 (Today), I noticed my debit account had a pending payment of an additional $87.13 for one of the products.

I called the company today to dispute the charges and was told that the I had agreed to a 15 day trial period and that because I failed to cancel within those 15 days, I was being charged the additional amount. They have since canceled my account but they refuse refund the money they have charged.

I told the rep that I did not see anything on the website indicating it was only a 15 day trial period, in fact it advertised a '30 day free trial' and even if it was I was still within the 15 days from the date I received the product. She said it didn't matter because the 15 days started from the date I ordered the product and not from the date I received it. I am disputing this with my bank and chose not to get irritated with the representative who was obviously just following a script.

They did give me confirmation #'s of the cancellation of both products, but I'll believe it when I see it.

They are engaged in false / misleading advertising and it's a blatant ripoff.

The company that may show up as charging the card is FWM Laboratories.

What you and everyone else need to do is cancel your debt/credit card you used to order your product. That was the FIRST thing I did so they couldn't tag on any other kind of charges. I'm sure if I wouldn't have canceled my card, I would have had other charges, but I didn't want to chance that... so cancel your card and call your bank company and tell them about it. They can give you a number to the Acai berry people and you can ask for your money back. Luckly I did it and got my money back and I'm just glad to say I'm done with anymore orders online.
