I wish to bring to your attention the scandalous business practices of Ace Rentacar.
When we went to pick up the rental vehicle we were told we had to take their insurance at $59 per day. We told them we had taken out full travel insurance which covered accidents involving a rental vehicle. They said that was not acceptable and had to take their insurance. The cost of which was considerably more than the rental cost.
Their practice approaches what could be considered a scam. It certainly doesn’t reflect well on Cartrawler.
We refused to be coerced into being ripped off and cancelled our booking and asked for a refund. They said they couldn’t. So I called your help line and was told we would not receive a refund as it did not meet with your policy.
I do not believe that an organisation such as Cartrawler would condone let alone encourage its clients being ripped off in such a manner. The agreement we entered into did not indicate in any way the practices of Ace.
I Therefore request you do the right thing and refund the moneys we paid to you.
