Wow, I wish I read the reviews before using this company
Wow, I wish I read the reviews before using this company. I just ordered an $849.99 7-Tool Milwaukee Power Tool Combo set that comes with a FREE 8th tool (JIGSAW) that was on sale marked down from $999 on a Black Friday/Cyber Weekend Sale and it's been a week and I haven't heard anything from them through email or received a returned phone call. The website says I have not made any order and keeps asking me if I want to check out for $999 which I have already paid the full $908(after tax) out of my bank account for the $849.99 price but it seems as if they're trying not to honor the price from the day I bought it. The worst part is that home Depot still has this exact deal in stock and I missed out on buying it from a reputable store because I thought I should give business to a smaller business but it turns out that was the wrong decision.

Open box and one of the 3 items is missing, I complain and get SIRI who takes no responsibility over the fact that the item was shipped on a different tracking number. I could understand that IF the company had made any attempt to tell me. NO they wait until I complain. Then instead of providing the new information in clear manner I get SIRI stating a tracking number not any indication that it is a new tracking number or the order was divided into two shipments. I asked if English was a second language because the text I have received certainly do not so a natives command of the problem. Not worth the hassle not worth any more breath, keep you blood pressure low and just purchase from someone else.
If I can I will give a -10 for Acme tools. I received part of my order and second parts NEVER arrived .Been waiting since 11/3 for part of my order. Emails come about once every 3 weeks and stating have hard time with Dewalt. ''Hello, Unfortunately, we are still obtaining items from the manufacturer so you could expect additional delays." I canceled my order ,part which I received returned ,tracking show Acme tools received item "Delivered Thursday, February 10, 2022 at 9:07 am" . I am expecting refund in next 2-3 days. They also sent me (unsolicited) a Dewalt Battery, which is nice, but not something I have a need for. Today I called Acme to find out when the pressure washer was going to be mailed out and they told me that it is (again) back ordered until the middle of May. The Acme rep I talked to admitted that they had no intention of letting me know that my purchase would be delayed again. I also had sent an email to them requested the new shipping date, something they ignored. In response, I cancelled the order, but can't get my money back until I return the battery. The offer a good price, but the customer service is non-existent and the company doesn't think they have a need to contact customers on things that impact your purchase. (order ***).

Placed an order for a Jet JSG-6CS that was advertised on both Amazon and the website for $331.49 on 11/22 and 11/23. Order was placed and funds were processed from my AMEX. Customer service responded via email on 11/23 that read "Hello, Thank you for your recent order with Acme Tools. We have identified an error with your recent purchase of the Jet 708598K Belt and Disc sander. As a result of this error, your order has been canceled. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Thank you, Acme Tools Customer Support Extremely poor of ACME to not offer anything due to a mistake that as not caused my me the purchaser. Terrible service and will not be recommending them to anyone. Will be following up with the online groups and other forums to let others know of the questionable ethics of ACME. Tried to call the business and their number no longer works or they are screening calls.
I ordered an accessory for my wood shop and there were a few issues with the unit. I informed ACME TOOLS of the issue and was immediately taken care of with a replacement unit. Exceptional customer service and I would highly recommend them. I will be shopping with them again.
First time customer that's overall happy, but giving a mixed review on Acme tool. I ordered a chainsaw last night just after 5pm, order 8772660. When checking out, on the summary page, it gives the item price, says tax TBD (to be determined), and shipping FREE. However, you don't find out that shipping is not free until you do the final checkout. No problem, I'll pay for the shipping since it's a great deal on the chainsaw. Immediately after placing my order, I go back into the Acme website to get a better idea of their shipping rates and try to determine why it showed "tbd" on tax, but "free" on shipping, and then changed to not free shipping. I found that orders over $200 get free shipping. I also find out that if you return an item, you pay for the shipping both ways, not just to ship it back. No problem, but it still doesn't explain why it shows free shipping until the final screen of checkout. During all this, I call my dad to see if he would like a chainsaw, and he says yes, so I place another order for 2 chainsaws and a level, knowing shipping would be free...and thinking I would cancel the first order in the morning because if you place an order between 5pm and 9am, there is no way of cancelling it. So I call the next morning at 9:15, to cancel the first order. After looking into it, customer service said labels had already been made and the item was not shipped, but it was too far along in the process for a cancellation. So even though I have no way to cancel the order outside of 9a-5p, I'm responsible for the original shipping and return shipping, unless I want to keep it. The good and the bad and I'll start with the bad: 1. The checkout summary page shows that tax is "tbd" and it should also show shipping "tbd," or something like that instead of reading "free shipping". 2. The only option for cancelling orders is to do it between the hours of 9-5, M-F. When the customer places an order outside of that window, there's no turning back, meaning it's a 50/50 toss if the customer is going to have to pay shipping both ways for a return because it couldn't be cancelled in time. Why would I want to purchase anything in the evening or on the weekend from acme knowing this? 3. I find both of the above to be of-putting enough to take the time to write this review 4. In my case, I now have an extra chainsaw. If I return it, the added double shipping charge cuts into the savings that initially interested me in the the item/s. Good: 1. The customer service rep was very professional. He was calm and did everything he could to resolve my problem. A++ for his professionalism throughout the entire process 2. The price of the chainsaw was excellent 3. Turn around time seems excellent if the item is ordered in the evening and heading out the next morning. I love the price, customer service, and turn around time. However, even though it's ultimately on the customer to read every detail regarding the companies policies before making the purchase, there are a couple of things that could be done better on acme's end, i.e. eliminate "free shipping" on the summary page when the purchase doesn't qualify - and instead show the shipping price or show "tbd", and find a more encompassing customer-friendly solution for order cancellations. Because the customer service, price, and turn around time was great, it's hard to ding the company much, after all, no company is perfect. So, I'm giving a 5 star rating and will be more informed next time when purchasing from them.
I placed an order on 8/20 product was in stock, they cancelled my order, I placed the order again on 8/23 now it is not in stock and I have a 3-5- week lead I call on 9-23 they told me the product will be in first week of Oct. I called again on 10/12 they told me the product will be 3-5- weeks I truly feel Acme Tool is giving me the run around I will never buy from them again.
I placed an order on line that offered "Free Shipping" once I placed the order I realized that they charged for Handling.. $200.. Very sneaky for a trades guy... I called and cancelled the order and the customer service guy Jeff obviously was perturbed with my cancellation as I call him every day now to reimburse me for the transaction $865... I don;t have time to keep asking them so I need to get my CC company involved now.. My advice...use someone else.

I have been buying from Acme tools for years and will continue to do so. They have very fair prices and offer kits and promotions from the manufacturers. They ship fast and their customer service is second to none, almost unheard of today. I had an instance where I had a defective lithium battery for a tool from a major manufacturer and the company would not stand by the product. Acme stepped in and since they are a dealer for that company Acme made it right. I never write reviews but Acme deserves to be applauded for there shipping, prices and customer service. I recently purchased a flashlight from Acme that has a flaw in the switch. I called them and they are sending a new light immediately with a return label to send the bad one back. Every company that I have dealt with over the years on other products required that they had to receive the defective product back before they sent another. Now that is customer service. I have done my tool buying from them solely for many years and when I am looking for another tool, I go straight to their website.

After no word on shipment a few days later I tried to look up my order number through the website but it did not exist. I made a call in and they told me that it was on backorder for 7-10 weeks! Not happy, because it was in stock but they oversold. Well, a few days later I received the promo additional item without the drill combo set. After getting on the phone they just mentioned they will often send the promo anyway if they have it in stock. So.. still waiting for weeks for the actual item. I decided to cancel due to similar deals being available locally. They proceeded to let me know that I would be paying the shipping to send the promo item back... now, does that make sense? They never earned my business and would not provide a return label but they did say I can pick a carrier of my choice... They eventually said if I waited too long they would also then charge a restocking fee. and said they could get me a label but would still charge it to me. I will not provide my business to Acme Tools and will let VCG Construction know not to promote this business due to their lack of warehouse management and customer service.

I ordered a birthday present for my husband that was over $500.---Hard saved for money for me. They sent a ship notice with Fedex tracking. Item never arrived the day specified and I couldn't get info from Fedex. I emailed just to let them know that there was no tracking update info. I was told that IF my order did not arrive in 3 days I should "take it up with Paypal"! (I uses paypal to pay). I was gobsmacked. So, they figured that my not receiving what I ordered and paid for was not their problem? I just never had any reputable company do this to me before. I knew then that I could not trust them and I called Paypal immediately and read them the email from Acme. They too thought it was pretty bad. They were great, and said that IF I did not receive my order within 3 more days they would personally file a claim for me, and not to worry. Acme is completely UNPROFESSIONAL, with horrible 'customer service'. I was finally able to get some news from Fedex and SUPPOSEDLY my order is to be delivered today. Despite this, this company could care less, and took my money and then washed their hands of any responsibility for making sure I received what was ordered. I do NOT recommend them and I will never order/buy from them again.

I ordered a $2600+ generator on June 27, 2022, CC charged on June 28. Generator arrived on June 30. Good so far. Westinghouse Generator was missing bolts, not complete, contacted Westinghouse they said work through Acme. Contact Acme on July 1 and on that date sent requested pictures and info. July 6 after calling acme they agreed to a return and would send return shipping bill of Lading. Several calls later received bill of Lading on July 13. Trucking company picked up July 15. I sent Acme email with copy of bill of lading with tracking # provided by Acme's shipper. Asked about refund and to be contacted. Did not hear from Acme. Called Acme on July 20, asked about refund said that until Westinghouse evaluated generator return and condition they will not refund to my CC. 2 weeks to get shipping return, lack of communication. Feel that I have been slow played by Acme. They still have my money but they have the tracking # showing the generator is to be delivered to Westinghouse today. Amazon and other mail order companies process the return once the item shows the item is enroute to them via the tracking number. Poor customer service. I try to do business with smaller folks other than Amazon but this poor performance by Acme has made me order another generator, not from Acme but from Amazon.

That number was provided and I began to check daily. on April 20th, the tracking details stated Monday, April 20 3:14 PM Package arrived at a carrier facility Package has shipped. That was the only update on that status until Friday, May 8 11:53 AM Delivered. By that time my package had been returned to Acme but not before accruing storage fees and a return fee that totaled over $1,200. That's right I had to pay 1,200 dollars for an item I never got because they lacked clarity on procedural information and blamed Amazon for not "allowing" them to put that in the listing. The attempts they made to email me or call me somehow did not end up in my amazon message center but as soon as I placed a refund inquiry, there it was. But it was Amazon's fault and my fault right? So I went on their website to see if they "allowed" themselves to place the warning about having to arrange delivery and low and behold, it's not there! It says "An item(s) on your order is shipping via "truck freight". The truck must be able to access the place of delivery, Acme provides Lift Gate service free of charge." Nothing about having to call them and set it up, maybe it's common knowledge to some but I don't buy $6,000 generators everyday so I wouldn't know. Nowhere does it say you must make contact with the company or else they RETURN THE ITEM AND SHORT YOU 1,200 dollars. I have screenshots of all of the listings, as well as Amazon providing me with my message center transcripts and I will ensure my money is recovered, I didn't get a choice of Shipping Carrier and there's no way I will pay for their lack of clarity.

I was placing an online order and one of the items had a promotional BOGO offer. I was surprised to find that one of the four options for the free item was over twice ($600) the value of the purchased item ($250). When completing the order in the cart I was prompted to select the item I wished to receive from the BOGO and the more expensive item was not listed. I called customer service for assistance and was informed it was a typo even though it was not close to the same number, but to my surprise the rep informed me that she had gotten authorization form a manager to go ahead and honor the BOGO advertised more expensive item for letting them know (their WORD). She assisted with getting the $5,700 order finalized and told me it would appear incorrect, but she was making it right on her end. Upon arrival my order contained the lesser item, so I called customer service and was informed they could not and would not send the more expensive item that ACME agreed to and APPROVED at the time of sale to make it right for a loyal customer. There would not be an issue if at the time the order was placed, I was told it was a mistake and they couldn't honor the advertised BOGO. They will tell you whatever to get the order secured and later will not honor their word or FALSE advertising. Needless to say, after this last experience following the previous incorrect order where they shipped the wrong item and had to thru the mess of shipping it back then waiting again, I will find another retailer for all my future online purchases. Acme may not feel the impact of on average the $10-25k I spend with then annually, but your word is everything and I will not be shopping with them in the future! For five years it had been a great partner for my growing small business, but unfortunately it is hard to find businesses these days that maintain the level of service along with the integrity and values that got them where they are, it becomes all about the money, so buyer BEWARE!

This COMPANY is a 2020 GRADE A criminal bunch of thieves. They STOLE MY MONEY and they kept the PRODUCT and refuse to refund me in ANY FORM OR FASHION. I ordered a Dewalt battery operated Chainsaw. $369 plus the tax middle of the year! Chainsaw was Back Ordered and show up without any warning of email, phone, just nothing! Used the chainsaw, but the company obviously filters out and HIDES the REVIEWS of their customers and the products. The chainsaw wore unbelievably fast in a INSANELY short amount of time and parts looked like it was used for 25x longer then it was. I sent the product back in a timely manor and the way acme tools return policy works for a full refund. So I waited and waited for my refund. I checked my bank account/ email daily for updates, NOTHING! Because covid was/is going on, at least in MY STATE, everything thing takes a long time to do and get a simple answer, I had to 1st figure out if the package made it back. UPS confirmed the package made it to its destination. After that I had to find my receipt and return info in my email. I kept calling them and they kept telling me they had to look into the issue and would get back with me. NEVER have they ever tried to get back with me, the entire time I have been trying to resolve this issue. EVEN though their EMPLOYEES have taken my PHONE # every time I talked to them on the phone. Playing phone tag. They told me to file a dispute with my bank, because they said they tried to return the money via the same payment, but it failed. But they NEVER NOTIFIED ME! So I put the bank and acme on the phone at the same time to sort this out. Bottom line here is ACME ran down my time to file a dispute with my bank. And my bank told me the problem wasnt on their end and to have Acme send me a check via mail if they werent able to get the money back to me via card.. Acme refuses to refund me, IN ANY WAY AND FORM. From returning the money to my card, sending me a check, to cash, to even store credit! I have bought products from this company in the past and they have always been a problematic company and its been a increasing problem with them to be HONEST and Trustworthy to deal with. Nothing in terms of stealing MONEY, but ive read other reviews on them and it seems to be their 2020 covid relief plan to keep the business up, by stealing from their customers if you read their other reviews. I will NO longer be doing business with this company again in the future, if I am UNABLE to get my money back in SOME FORM or FASHION. NO other company has been this difficult to deal with in terms of a simple return/refund.

A total scam. I placed order on 5/11/22. 7/3/22 still nothing. I emailed them again and email no longer exist. The name and email on my order confirmation was Kenneth Gosse support @kennethgosse.top
Ordered a chainsaw that was suppose to include a battery and never got the battery, they want me to return it and rebuy the tool that wouldn't be a big deal but now they raised the price!
