Top trigger chain saw - cs0059852
I am writing to express my serious concern about a persistent overheating issue with your top trigger chainsaw when used with both 8 and 6 Ah M18 batteries. It has come to my attention that the chainsaw overheats to such a degree that it emits a distinct smell of burning electrical components from the battery pack after only a few minutes of consistent...

M12 heated gear
I recieved this as a gift from my parents a couple months ago. It's been great for these colder times. Up till last week. The design for the battery pack is nit th greatest. First it's located in the left lower back area, and the wire obviously isn't mentioned to be moved on a daily basis. What I have is a battery charger that will not work anymore and looks to be 4 wires that have had the coating break away and caused a shortage? None of the batteries I own will work in the charger. I have built a decent milwakee set over the years for work. I work woth deisle repair. This coat has been great for those service calls as I'm not always indoors. Now I have a coat that won't power on, and no way to power UT as the cord won't allow power through.
Claimed loss: Heating elements in coat and charger
Desired outcome: Replacement would be great. It's been a good coat for the short time it worked.

I sent in my tool for repair, and they were unable to repair it so they sent me a replacement (per a new, unopened box and the *** shows replacement). When I attempted to inset a battery into the tool, the word is written in the battery compartment. I reached out to Milwaukee customer service and was ignored. I posted a review with proof on their website and it was removed and I was told my review went against their customer standards. I then reached out to customer service via email again, and have been ignored. I have attached proof of this, and it is time stamped to show that this picture was taken moments after opening the package. This is absolutely disgusting and Milwaukee tool should not be treating their customers like this. I want something done about this, I have spent a tremendous amount of money on their tools and I can't believe I am treated like trash. Completely unprofessional .

I'***, I only use Milwaukee tools, in a dollar amount value I have a total of about 9000$ in tools, I have everything including the storage, screws, saw blades I use nothing else , when I decided that I wanted this brand I was under the assumption that they were of a1 quality and they were dependable and lasting, them being so expensive what else would I expect, I contacted Milwaukee tools twice about my issue and not one response, I have numerous power tools that just stopped working, blew up started smoking and not from my fault or overuse , this happened the first time using , I just think me being a loyal customer I should get better customer service, I wear the tshirts I use Milwaukee everything I just want my stuff to work like it's supposed to
E mail sent to business: Dear Sir, I own your entire line of hand tools and have been a loyal customer for many years. I just bought your M18 Sander and using it today (3/16/22), the saw dust cover comes right off and does not stay on the unit, regardless of position. I looked this up on the Internet and everyone that has bought this product has had the same issue, which is clearly a health issue, as I wore a full hood and mask and now with asthma, I'm having difficulty breathing and will have to go to the *** Clearly, you've known about this and have done nothing. I'd like to know how you plan to rectify this for me and the rest of your customers! I tried to call to discuss same, but no one there. Addendum: I ended up on Prednisone medication and inhaler. Today I cough and have wheezing. Could not sleep last night.
I have been trying to get a resolution to this problem going on two months now , I have emailed litterly 20x and never a response, I purchased a finish nailer tool that definitely has a defect, I am a contractor and I use nothing but the Milwaukee brand, until now I never had a issue, the reason I am a diligent loyal customer because they produce great quality and I thought they would treat customers better, I don't understand why I'm being ignored, they state that there's a five year warranty so why have they not responded to replace the tool , I am at a loss I don't know what else to do , right before this complaint I emailed again , I just want a replacement, as I purchased a tool that is defective on their part
Milwaukee is supposed to cover all tools within a warranty period that the tool I purchased was well within. I have photos of the tool with a clear snap of the shank around a bolt that is within the assembly of that machine. The shank slid out of the enclosure will I was on a 12 ft up a 16ft ladder. I took it into a service center and because the tool was dirty I was told it would likely fall under "abuse". The tool was only used what it was advertised for. I have never had an issue like this before using the same tool from other companies. I was charged $170 for a replacement for a product defect. I spent thousands of dollars on this company last year, and I would just like to know if they stand behind their word before spending anymore.
I started buying Milwaukee brand tools in 2017 when I started my sole proprietorship
I started buying Milwaukee brand tools in 2017 when I started my sole proprietorship. Within a couple months I had replaced all of my original brand with M18 Fuel tools. The 1st 6 months, maybe a year, the ability to take in a defective tool and receive a replacement was saving me time, money and energy, but Milwaukee soon discontinued that offer. They state they have thousands of service centers i can bring the defective tools to, the nearest one to me is 4 hours away. I have called them and left over 7 voicemail and 10 emails, but no response. Currently defective I have: 3 framing nailers, 2 finish nailers, 3 circular saws (one started smoking 20minutes out of the box), 2 hammer drills, 1 hack saw, 2 jig saws and 9 batteries. I continue to buy replacements because i have so much money invested, I would like them to honor the warranty, receive replacements or fix my tools. I have receipts, i can produce them upon request.

Bought this 3 months ago, gradually had all three well known defects occur, handle, wheels and then the locking mechanism. Contacted Milwaukees warranty *** and emailed multiple photos of the broken parts, after all said and done my options given were to either A) drive 90 miles to a service center or B) ship it to them at my expense ($130). for repair? i cant imagine them gluing plastic parts together and sending it back. very disappointed.
I purchased a couple of Milwaukee tool sets from a local retailer in December, and one of the 3.0 batteries died after about a year, with the second 3.0 battery failing last month. Now, neither will charge, despite the fact that the batteries were only ever subjected to light use and sustained no physical damage. I adhered to Milwaukee's warranty procedure, filed online, and sent the batteries to Milwaukee along with my purchase receipts for repair or replacement. I recently received a response informing me that they will not honor the three-year warranty on my two-year-old batteries, claiming they are too old. The retailer has been of no help, as I've been unable to reach anyone by phone or email who acknowledges that the batteries are covered by a three-year warranty from the date of purchase. One representative from the retailer even attempted to convince me that the batteries only have a two-year warranty, despite the fact that the box, the included paperwork, and Milwaukee's official website all confirm a three-year warranty.
I bought a trimmer with a 3 year warranty
I bought a trimmer with a 3 year warranty. After only a few months the battery stopped working. I requested a replacement and a replacement was issued. After only a few months the replacement battery also began to have problems. I again requested a replacement online on August 24th and was mailed exchange instructions in the mail with a return label. I submitted the battery for replacement November 6th and it was received by the manufacturer the following week. I have still not received a replacement. I have called customer service and was rudely told they do not have a replacement battery to send me. I explained that I cannot use my trimmer without the battery and that the battery is available for sale at local stores and I requested that I be sent a refund in the price of a battery or that I be sent another battery if this particular model is not available. I have now been without a trimmer for months with no resolution in sight.

So I was under the impression that I was buying tools on a Milwaukee overstock website. Everything looked completely legitimate and it was a really good deal. I purchased the tools and later on figured out that my debit card was charged with a PayPal account with the name ***. I am positive that charge was for this and the tools never came. Its been well over two months now. I am unsure if this can be resolve. I am just wondering if you guys can help me out. On September 9, I used PayPal to purchase a fuel lithium-ion tool set from Milwaukee-combokit.shop. The item purchased was an M18 Fuel Brushless Lithium-ion tool combo kit that includes 2 batteries. The purchase indicated that shipment would occur within 7 business days. I have attempted to contact the seller by emailing the address provided in my PayPal receipt but have not received a response. The transaction number is 4X1847996E850645D and the invoice number is available upon request. Thank you for your assistance.
I have individual pictures and descriptions of each item in the set, which includes: an M18 Fuel 1/2 hammer drill/driver, an M18 Fuel 1/4 Hex impact driver, an M18 Fuel Sawzall reciprocating saw, an M18 work light, an M18 Fuel 1/2 mid-torque impact wrench with a friction ring, an M18 Fuel 4 1/2 inch grinder with a paddle switch, an M18 Fuel 6 1/2 inch circular saw, two contractor bags, two M18 RedLithium XC5.0 batteries, and a multi-voltage charger.
I bought a set of Milwaukee tools and have had great luck with most of them. However, after just a few months of light use, the button on the cordless ratchet broke. I contacted Milwaukee for a warranty repair, they verified the serial number and build date and that it was eligible for warranty, at least until they asked me where I purchased it. I bought it from a supplier on Amazon, I was informed that they did not honor warranties for Amazon purchases and no matter how many people I talked to, they didn't know why. Baffles me as well since Amazon is larger than Wal-Mart. So now I am stuck with this expensive paperweight and I will just keep buying Makita (who never asked where I got the tool I needed repaired) and tell everyone that asks me not too buy Milwaukee tools.
I bought a 2257-20 inferred imager at the end of 2019
I bought a 2257-20 inferred imager at the end of 2019. i used it a couple times and it stopped working and only works once in a while. i sent it to eservice in February the serial number is clear and visible stating it was manufactured the 33rd week of 2017. i was sent a message that the item was not under warranty. i called and was told the item was obsolete so no repair even though it was still under warranty. the person resubmitted after finding the technician entered the wrong serial number. I just got another email on 3/31 stating no repair. i called for the 4th time and waiting for a supervisor to call. if the item is obsolete and cannot be repaired the company needs to do something besides tell me to bad we are not honoring our warranty. Im really getting tired of the run around, my time is worth money also! i have thousands of dollars invested in the premium price for Milwaukee tools and i am not pleased with the service lately!

Purchased on 03/14 an expensive Battery operated circular saw - it has never worked properly and been in for repair three times (SV1253258 04/03, SV2550217 12/08, SV2985373 06/03). The switch has always been the problem and it's still a problem. I need to send it in again for another repair and it just came back less than a month ago. The switch does not work again. I've used this for household use, not commercial, and barely used it at all, especially since it has always been broken when I needed it. I've asked for replacement each time it was in for repair and I've been ignored. I'd like it replaced with a new one. This is my first experience with Milwaukee Tools and I am not impressed, despite what all my contractor friends say about the tools. I've had better luck with my Rigid tools and less hassle when there's an issue.
I sent my impact wrench to the repair facility twice- both times the tool was returned to me not fixed. The first time the repair facility claimed they could not duplicate the problem and returned the tool without repairing it. When I contacted the CS by phone, I was told to sent for repair the tool, the battery and the battery charger. I sent all three items to the repair facility. All three items were replaced, according to the receipts from the repair facility. The charger and the battery were replaced with used/ refurbished? items. The tool was NOT replaced- the tool that I received has the same serial # as the one I sent in. Since the Milwaukee Tool was unable to fix the tool twice, I demand they refund the purchase price of the tool.
Purchased a blower/trimmer combo from online website https://www.milwaukeetools-outlet-us.com on July 5 and paid using $85 PayPal. Did not receive any confirmation emails regarding product but did receive confirmation of payment made successfully. Payment transaction ID 2LJ48532FG779042T. On July 12, received a tracking notice via USPS attached to the PayPal transaction that product was shipped from Ohio to Wisconsin and delivered to an individual at my home on July 8. No one at our residence has seen nor received this package. Tracking number 9361289682091221969144.
While using my Milwaukee grinder on July 18, the pad busted striking me in the leg tearing my pants and causing an injury. The grinder vibrated differently just before this happened, but it was still working. I am concerned about this pad as it should not fall apart like that. I have sent three emails to the company using their system..fill in, without any response. If this is an issue they need to reach out to those with this grinder. I have two dewaut grinders I have had for 25 years and this one I have had far less and don't use these often. I have never had an issue with the other grinders, so I am concerned. Milwaukee tool needs to acknowledge this issue.
App. three months ago, I was experiencing a problem with a Milwaukee 12 amp hour battery I had purchased
App. three months ago, I was experiencing a problem with a Milwaukee 12 amp hour battery I had purchased. I contacted Milwaukee Tool, as the battery was still under warranty. I was successful in contacting a Milwaukee representative named ***. Mr. determined the battery was still under warranty and authorized a replacement, which was to occur as soon as I returned the faulty battery, which I did via Fedex as per Mr. instructions. Mr. stated (via email) that my new battery would ship within 7-10 days. When no battery arrived, further contact with Mr. produced the information that the battery was to ship from their Mississippi warehouse which was running behind due to the Covid issue and a short staff problem. I received assurance the battery would ship to me in7-15 days. A month passed with no sign of the battery. I again contacted Mr. and was advised that he had referred the matter to his supervisor who would get the battery shipped. No battery.

Purchased a 1/2 Milwakee drill from HASCO approximately 4 years ago, drill originally purchased stopped spinning last year - brought back to hasco since product was purchased with a 5 year warranty. Drill was sent in and we were told we had to pay for the services to fix the drill. Milwaukee kept the drill and opted to send us a "new drill" with a new 5 year warranty. Had this drill less than 2 years ( product is a 2018 model) and it too has stopped spinning. Now being told that it does not fall under the warranty due to wear and tear on the product. This seems to be an ongoing problem with this type of drill. The drill is used for Tennoning 2-3 inch logs with a tonnon cutter...NOT ABUSED. It is the recommended tool for this type of work. Milwaukee has now twice refused to honor their warranty . I will never purchase from this company again. They have yet to fix their product with the same mechanical issues. Not to mention they also leak an excessive amount of grease when NOT in use.

I made a special trip 112km to Home Depot in Grande Prairie to purchase the Milwaukee M18 18V Lithium-ion starter kit that was on sale from July
I made a special trip 112km to Home Depot in Grande Prairie to purchase the Milwaukee M18 18V Lithium-ion starter kit that was on sale from July 2 to July 26th. I needed a jig saw and was going to purchase the combo kit as the offer stated that I could get the Milwaukee Jig Saw for free. When I arrived at Home Depot they were out of stock, yet all the signs were still up. I was told I could not have a rain check, and was told that there would be more stock next week. I purchased the jig saw that day, so that when I returned the following week they would not be out of stock of that item. I returned the following week to find that Home Depot was still out of stock and that the signs were still up. I was then told that they could not take down the sale signs as Milwaukee serviced their own section and Home Depot was not permitted to remove the signs. My wife contacted your customer service number and left a message for someone to contact us. No one called. To date we have called 4 times and have not been able to get through and no one has returned the messages that we have left. Product_Or_Service: Milwaukee D-Handle Jig Saw

I purchased a Milwaukee string trimmer for home use since I already have a full lineup of Milwaukee tools and batteries for my woodworking
I purchased a Milwaukee string trimmer for home use since I already have a full lineup of Milwaukee tools and batteries for my woodworking business. It came with a M18 9.0 battery. The battery started failing less than a year after use. I contacted customer service on 12/9 and they promptly emailed me a FedEx label to return the battery which they received on 12/16. I waited a few weeks, then called customer service, waited on hold for quite some time then got disconnected. I tried again on another day 1/11 and customer service told me they had lost my battery and would have a replacement out to me within a week. I called 2 weeks later on 1/26 to inquire where my replacement battery was. After spending 15 minutes on hold the rep didn't have any info for me, but said she would call me back within 24 hours. At this point I don't have much confidence in their customer service and I'm getting upset as I've wasted so much time with customer service that I should have cut my losses and just bought a new 9.0 battery for $200. I've been a fan of Milwaukee up until now and never had problems with their many cordless tools since I first started purchasing them for my woodworking business back in 2008. In the meantime I purchased two 6.0 batteries and one of them is also starting to fail. My take away on Milwaukee now is to avoid these the higher capacity batteries, not only because they're not reliable, but Milwaukee will drop the ball on you in customer service. Not good treatment for us professionals in the trades.

I have been a customer of Milwaukee for several years and up until now was very happy with their products
I have been a customer of Milwaukee for several years and up until now was very happy with their products. I bought a M12 cordless rotary tool and after a couple of uses it stopped working. They advertise a 5 year warranty and I had only had the product for a year when I first initiated this complaint. It has now been nearly 6 months of trying to get them to follow through with their promise of standing by their product. I submitted the form for a warranty repair on 9/23 and the tools serial number is C81AD184201540. Their website will not print a shipping label or instructions for sending the tool in for the repair. I have emailed them several times about this issue with no response. I called once and was told I would be emailed the shipping label and again never received it. This last time I called was it for me. A customer service representative who answered when I called 1-800-SAWDUST was extremely rude. I believe her name was Amy and when I spoke to her the entire time she interrupted me and spoke over me insisting it was a problem with my computer. I have tried to fulfill the form on 4 different computers all with the most up to date software and i tried to inform her of this yet she insisted on talking over me and interrupting. She offered no solutions to the problem and her attitude toward me along with Milwaukee's inaction following through with their promises has caused me to lose all faith in their product. I will likely never be a customer of theirs again in the future and i will certainly not recommend them to people if this is how they conduct business.

I have sent a tool into Milwaukee for repair
I have sent a tool into Milwaukee for repair. I purchased the product 2.5 years ago at ***. The emailed me saying they would not perform the repair because the serial number was not visible and they could not confirm that the product is under warranty. All products have a 5 year warranty, and the tool i purchased has not been in production for 5 years, therefore it is physically impossible for any of said tool in the whole universe to be past the warranty time period. The claim that because i have no receipt for the tool i puchased 2.5 years ago, and the serial number is not valid, they have no way of knowing it is less than 5 years old. I spoke to multiple customer service representatives that confirm the tool has not existed for 5 years. common sense dictates there is no need for a receipt or a serial number. *** was unable to provide a receipt. And the reason the serial number is not visible is because Milwaukee PRINTED it on the tool, so it easily wears off within months of use. If they would've STAMPED it on metal, it would still be visible. The lack of a visible serial number is completely milwaukees fault- poor production methods. But this is not even important, they refuse to admit that the tool is under warranty simply due to the fact that none such tool has existed for 5 years. The only option the give me is to pay 73 dollars and have the tool repaired. I have opted to do that in an email because they refuse to honor the warranty. They have not yet contacted me for payment, and paperwork they've sent me signifies the tool will be scrapped 3 days from now, on April 22nd

i have a drill that has been sent out for warranty repairs twice
i have a drill that has been sent out for warranty repairs twice. Each time it is sent out, they have made repairs and send the drill back to me. Each time i have to send out the tool, i do not have a spare to use for work. the most recent warranty repair was sent out around 8/9. The drill was received back with numerous items listed as replaced or repaired. Once again i am having the same issue with the drill. I went into a supply house and even the supply house informed me that this particular drill has numerous issues and they consistently have to ship them out for their customers for repairs. I have requested via online request that an employee contact me and i have not received a response. my complaints are as follows 1. You should allow the consumer the choice between fed ex or UPS for the mail vendor, FED EX is not readily accessible in my area but there are numerous UPS locations. 2. Every time i have to send out a drill for repair i am without a drill until i get it back which could be weeks. You should come up with some sort of tool loaner program to prevent work stoppage. Maybe even take a credit card number and IMMEDIATELY send out a similar loaner tool PRIOR to receiving the defective tool. 3. How many times do i need to send out the same tool for repairs FOR THE SAME ISSUE before it gets escalated to something else? I have to send my drill out again for the 3rd time, but eventually the warranty will be void (due to time) and ill be stuck with a useless drill. 4. I also have a portable band saw that i sent out with my drill for a broken safety switch. It came back still broken, so now i have to send it out again and go without the band saw.

purchased a product that broke after two months
purchased a product that broke after two months. contacted Milwaukee about the issue. I was told that I must send the tool in by what they call E service. Did all the steps they asked and got emailed a return label by the company. Sent the tool in by Fed ex. After a month of not hearing anything about the progress I called in to inquire about the tool. I was then told that I sent the tool to the wrong location when all I did was print the return label fallowing step by step orders. This process took so much time that I was forced to go purchase another tool from a different manufacture. I ask Milwaukee to send the original tool back because I was given the ok to return the broken tool to the authorized dealer for a complete refund. Milwaukee told me not a problem. I was then contacted via email by Milwaukee asking me lots of question about the tool. I then found out that Milwaukee had lost the tool. I told Milwaukee that I am looking to get a refund for my tool because I was forced to purchase another tool and that I need my original tool or a refund. They asked me to send over a copy of my purchase so I did. I then got an email saying that they are just going to send a new tool out. I told them that the authorized dealer will only give me my money back for a broken tool. I then got a email back from Milwaukee telling all about this authorized dealers return policy and that I can return a non broken tool for a full refund. Few days later I got a new tool from Milwaukee in the mail that I can now go return. When I went to return the tool I was told in order for me to get a refund I need to return the broken tool. I contacted Milwaukee again by phone and by email and I have not heard anything back after several attempts and even being told they would contact me.

On 08/05 I bought $1700 of Milwaukee tools online via a renowned retailer
On 08/05 I bought $1700 worth of Milwaukee tools online via a renowned retailer. When I received my tools, I couldn't unpack and test them immediately due to a house move after buying a new property. As a paint contractor, I was eager to use my tools. Once settled, I tried my new Milwaukee 16GA fuel nail gun, but it malfunctioned, jamming instead of shooting nails. I returned it to Milwaukee for a replacement. The nail gun came back unrepaired, with the original jammed nails and a note stating the parts were 'worn to the point of failure, not defective.' Confused by how a new nail gun could be worn, I sent it back the same day. After a lengthy wait, it was returned on 11/24 with a note reiterating the 'worn' condition and a 'goodwill' replacement. However, the replacement was clearly used, with dried glue on the depth adjustment, making it hard to use. This back and forth with Milwaukee has been frustrating, as my business values honesty and integrity, and it seems their repair department lacks quality control, evident from the two defective guns I received.
