I am writing to express my serious concern about a persistent overheating issue with your top trigger chainsaw when used with both 8 and 6 Ah M18 batteries. It has come to my attention that the chainsaw overheats to such a degree that it emits a distinct smell of burning electrical components from the battery pack after only a few minutes of consistent straight use, whether cutting through larger pieces of wood or performing multiple small cuts.

This overheating has resulted in complete failure of the batteries, rendering them unable to recharge. The cost of these failures is substantial, as each battery is valued at approximately $100. I have smoked two now.

I have already returned one chainsaw unit, assuming it was a defective outlier, only to experience the exact same overheating issue with the replacement, leading to another ruined battery. This recurrence indicates a potentially widespread defect that needs immediate attention.

My attempts to resolve this through your support system (case # CS0059852) have gone unanswered. This lack of response is unacceptable and suggests a disregard for customer safety and product reliability.
