I gave Freedom Star Improvements half of what they said they needed for my sunroom ($17,230) and they took the money out of my account before they were supposed to. I said that the check was post-dated so we could get approval from my HOA for the building, but that didn't matter to them. They cashed it on June 16th and it over-drafted my account, so they got their money, but I never got my sunroom. I cancelled everything on 6-21 and have been trying to get my money back, but they won't answer the phone or call me back. I don't understand how they can have an A+ rating from ComplaintsBoard.com when they do stuff like this. I need my money back, guys. Help me out here.

I bought 5 windows from Freedom Construction on 4/30 for 9600 bucksamoles. Finally, they put them in on 8/27 and came back on 10/5 to check the screens. Turns out none of the screens fix good, so they gotta replace it. But here we are on 6/15, and them screens ain't replaced yet. I called 'em so many times but they always say "the screens are ordered, we'll call you when they come in." I also asked to talk to the boss, but they never called me, man! I'm so mad cuz I spent so much money and my screens don't fit. This company doesn't seem to care about my problem at all. Can somebody help me, please? Thanks

I got my winder's replaced by Freedom Star Home Improvements on 15th July 18. It was a real good deal that I financed through a loan with ***, account ending ***. The installers put all the windows, barring three, in the fall of 2018. The other three were on a different deal. I don't remember why.
I've been wondering where my remaining windows are and have been ringing almost every month for the last six months. The receptionist says the owner, Misty, has no updates and nothing new in my file. So today [protected]), they finally told me that the three windows haven't been ordered because they don't think I paid a deposit. Oh really? They want to know if I put down a $5,000 deposit back in 2018. Come on, folks! Freedom Star has been paid in full for the entire project already! I'm still making my monthly payments to *** though.

They said they'll give me the 50-year warranty Tamco tiles on my roof for home improvements, but when they finished the job, the inspector said they're using cheap 10-year tiles. When I asked for an invoice to check, the owner said it's none of my business. I looked it up, and it turns out Tamco doesn't offer 50-year tiles, max is only 15 years. They broke 6 consumer protection laws, and I think 2 are felonies. They never started on the agreed date, and I didn't have any contact info to reach them. There weren't any details on the contract, and they asked for $7800 half-payment. The inspection says the materials only cost $1800, and I wasn't told about cancellation. I discovered all of these wrongdoings after I checked up on them.

I buyed a slide door and 8 windows on Feb.11,2021. They come to install May 19 (also screens for each). While installing, 1 window broked but they put it in anyway and then they said warranty would do it. When they almost done, a 2nd window cracked and they said warranty again. 2 screens were wrong size and they said they would be ordered then. It's been 14 months and I always get excuses that it's the makers fault. I told them to order it as new but nothing has happened. I always call them, they don't call me. They say they take care of their Widows and Veterans but that's not how they treat me. I lost my Husband and they said that to me at my table. I called them last on July 19,2022 and nothing. I have notes of conversations but I don't think they will do anything anytime soon.
