You can't get service work if you have a problem
We started with Sunpro it was taken over by ADT I thought that would be a positive. Turns out it is the same I have 13 panels out of 36 not reporting. The breaker is tripped and will not reset it is a simple fix, I am sure. I was told it would take up to 6 weeks to have someone come out and fix it, as ADT doesn't have technicians and have to sub the work out. It has been over 8 weeks and have not heard anything from anyone. Called Enphase they said they were taking up some of ADT's work and that was over 2 weeks ago. And by the way you cannot get someone yourself as it will void your warranty. If you have to have your roof replaced, you are up a creek without a paddle because ADT has to take them off and replace them with technicians they do not have.
Recommendation: Stay away from solar company's as it looks like they are crooked from the top to the bottom.
RUN AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!
RUN AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! *** with SunPro Solar out of Lawrenceville, Ga office was untruthful and unethical. Still works for Marc Jones Construction, LLC d/b/a Sunpro (now ADT) -- A FRAUD ALL THE WAY! They have been bought out by ADT, but this person is still selling for them as far as I am aware. The company has been aware of all the issues from date of turn on and even before. They took MONTHS from install until turning on of them (Installed Nov. '21 - Turned on March '22). Many things about this company are horrible! Mat came to my home, and after assessing everything told me I would never pay more than my average light bill including my power bill and the payment on the solar panels. I told him I am on a tight budget and cannot afford to pay anymore than I have been paying. He assured me it would not be more than my average bill. In the end I am paying almost my normal utility bill before solar plus the payment for the solar panels, so now almost double what I would have been paying if I had never gotten them. A 20 year contract for paying back the solar panels, so what a HUGE mistake! I signed the contract in November '21. They finally turned them on in March '22! After turn on, there was a panel not producing so they came out and it was never even plugged in! It was still not producing after they came out and plugged it in, so they came back and replaced that one. I have complained the entire time since they were turned on and running that (1) the panels were placed on my house in the wrong place (I tried to tell him they would be partially shaded where he was putting them)... (2) that after the contract was signed and panels were installed, it was a complete different outcome, the salesperson refused to answer any calls or texts about my concerns, (3) that it has been over a year since signing my contract and after repeated emails and calls and being told my case is in review they STILL have not resolved anything. Jan '23 no resolve!

I am very disappointed in your company and with every part of my experience so far. Project started 8-1-2022 and has yet to be completed and I don't see and end date for at least 2 months if everything lines up right which haven't happened yet. I have had to contact my project manager repeatedly to remind them that my work has not happened and needs to be scheduled. I have had to replace damaged parts on my gas furnace after the roof work was done. I still believe the roofer may have taken a personal item from my garage. The ADDITIONAL WORK in article2.3 of my contract has Not been done. I had to ask the electrician twice if they had grounded my property. And on their second visit to the property I had them show me where they grounded the house and only then did they discovered they ( same electrician from first visit ) Did Not ground my house. When the first group tried to validate my solar and battery they were not able to. On the second visit the worker discovered my main breaker was unable to open the circuit. Meaning the only way to disconnect from the grid is to remove the meter. I did some deeper reading in my contract and it states :That there is to be a Main panel upgrade Before the installation of the solar work is done, and that it is covered and paid for in my contract. I have asked my project manager repeatedly to give me her supervisor information and to have them contact me directly. Only after asking them more then a reasonable amount oftime did they email me contact info, and even then 2 of the 4 listings they gave me sent back an automatic reply this is not a real person or this person no longer works here. So please someone help me out. I'm a twice deployed combat disabled veteran and I don't need this level of stress in my life. Fix this, please.
This company is not to be trusted. They are very pushy and barely lets you read the contract and doesn't tell you about the cancellation fees or the fact they will put lien on your house without your knowledge. I tried to cancel my contract and they were very rude and pushy and when I kept insisting to cancel, they stopped picking up my calls and ignored my emails. And now they sent me a bill to pay because the deadline was passed which was their fault. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY OR YOUR HOUSE WILL HAVE A LIEN AND YOU END UP PAYING $3,000 FOR NOTHING.
This company is not legitimate. Don't waste your time. You will never get your solar panels installed. An inspector came to our house, approved us for solar panels, ran us through financing, and told us that they would file paperwork and then in a few months, install. At first, there were normal hiccups (like paperwork getting denied) but now we are 8 months out and was just informed by the 3rd person to take over our account (what happened to the last 2? No idea.) but now we are told that our financing was NEVER approved, which we were never informed of in the last 8 months. My husband and I have excellent credit, so I'm positive that it's not an issue from our end. Before this, ADT was constantly dodging our calls, despite the salesman assuring us that we would be able to reach him . Please don't hold your breathe on these guys. Overall, unprofessional, non-communicative. and a total waste of time.
ADT SOLAR should be investigated for what I believe are deceptive business practices. I canceled with ADT Solar in the beginning stages but they marked my project complete and send that over to the loan company (Dividend). Now Dividend (no fault of them) is sending me bills because ADT Solar said the it was all done. Fighting with Dividend and ADT Solar to fix this problem that never should of been one. Stay away, use some other company if you are looking for solar.
This is the worst company that I have seen in my life
This is the worst company that I have seen in my life. I made one of the worst mistakes trusting them to go solar. I've been waiting for over 8 months to get the services of my solar panels and still the panels are not running yet. the last delay was that they did a wrong application with the FPL to change my meter and now I have to wait more and more. They are the worst with the reimbursing money I have to call them all the time because if you do not do it they will just forget about you and will not pay anything. My account management supervisor is ***. Do not believe anything that she says to you. She had been laying to me since the begging with everything. She said that the reimbursement was late because the system and other excuses and she said that this will not happened again but gest what it is always happening. The company damaged my roof and she said that it was no problem of the company and after several arguments they sent some professional and they fixed the problem that they caused ( I have to say that the people who came to my house to fix the roof were very professionals and educated 5 starts to them). *** when I told her that she had been laying to me all this time about time in every step of this process she told me that I was verbally abusing her and that the company was having a courtesy with me because they were giving me a late reimbursement for the services. I do not want the courtesy because this is not a courtesy this is a product of your dam [censored]ty work and system that are not able to give the services that the customers want to pay for. I want to pay for this but I want the services that this company promised at the begging of this process. *** is in the contact that the company gave me but lately she is refusing to give me an answer and she wants me to go to talk with somebody under her power but I refuse to talk with somebody under her power. . For sure I will not recommend this company to anybody.

Worst decision in my life! The installers damaged several roof tiles, side of the house and damaged my solar pool heater causing the system to leak into my roof and into my ceiling. For the first few months nothing worked to negligent wiring of Tesla system. Customer service? After finally getting through, they sent out a repairman to fix the leak but all he was able to do was slow it down. Months of back and forth went by with no resolution or fix for the damages. We finally decided to replace the damaged pool heater and when the contractors started work they discovered more damage done by the installers. We've been left with no help, no understanding, no cooperation, no lets work something out and get this fixed? Nothing, once they have the money, they're gone no matter what they do to your home. ADT Solar is not to be trusted with your home needs for anything. We honestly went with a national brand company figuring if something did happen, they would stand behind their product. Well that didnt happen and now we're stuck fixing and paying for all of the damage done. If someone from ADT reads this and can't believe what they're reading? Please feel free to contact us, our numbers are on our account, if you can find it... Sincerely, One disappointed/pissed off customer!
I bought a complete solar system in September from SUNPRO Solar of Mandeville, LA with a 25-year warranty. ADT Solar acquired SUNPRO Solar during 2022, including its customer base. In August 2022 one solar panel microinverter stopped working. I contacted SUNPRO and received a replacement microinverter in September 2022, with included instructions to call to arrange for a service tech to install the microinverter. After repeated calls I have yet to get the part installed. Now the Enphase IQ controller for the solar system has stopped working and I have not been able to get it back on. I called ADT solar to request technical support, and spent up to 30 minutes on hold, listening to a piano tune without ever being answered. I even called a number to inquire about a new installation, which was answered instantly, and asked to be connected to customer service. I was instantly transferred to the piano tune. All I want is for someone to schedule a service technician who can get my system working again. I cannot in good conscience recommend SUNPRO SOLAR or ADT Solar to anyone. David Green
The absolute worst company I have ever had to deal with. Picked this company because I listened to their promise of being different. Not only are they the same but worse. I have a system that cost $80,000 and can't get it turned on or any customer support. I also agree that government officials should get involved with this.
ADT Solar started our installation November 9,2022 how we is was not completed and were to return the following day. Leaving our how with a 3-4 ft trenches hole open, ditch witch and pvc pipe in in yard. Needless to say the did not return them next day. We filled the ditch in and moved the pipes finally as holidays approached.4 weeks later, after multiple calls the they returned on 12/6 and all that was done was to retrench the yard. My husband came home and saw 2 guys sitting in the truck for hours! They left, the next day ditchwitch was picked up. I have emailed repeatedly and called with little response or indication when this will be completed. I called the salesman multiple times, left messages and no response. I have even text asking if he still worked there. I am at loss, I guess next I will call the media and stop payment on loan.

SunPro or ADT solar must have burned all the bridges in the normal stomping grounds and have moved into my area of Wichita, Kansas and MAN I wish I would have done more research before going with them. This has be a nightmare from the very beginning. The electrician fell through my ceiling. The roof was leaking and still leaking and I know its still leaking bc after they repaired the hole and painted it the stain spot returned but in a different shape than the first stain spot. The electricians didn't bring all the parts they needed the first time and since they aren't local the couldn't go get more parts to fix do it the same day that was scheduled. Which delayed having Evergy come out and approve the install and that means more time off from work. At the start, after falling through the ceiling they would tell me they will cover everything and anytime missed from work. Incorrect. *** and ***. have fought and drug their feet the entire way. I have to go around them to talk to people more understanding and empathetic to the situation to get anything done. They are not paying the full amount of days I was off of work, including the day we set up to have the ceiling guy and the roof guys out to fix the ceiling and the roof... no one showed. The customer service reps claim I canceled on two different days. I didn't. Their teams didn't show and we had to reschedule and it was only one day, not two. I am only asking for the days off I had to take to fix THEIR mess up. I've had to take off for fixing the ceiling, fixing the roof leaking (and I'll have to do it again since it still leaks), cleaning up the installation, another day for cleaning the vents (not sure why they didn't do it at the same time) and for their electrician to finish what was supposed to have been done on the first visit. AND the system still is not working. Yeah, yeah.. licensing.. I've heard. So a two day job as they told me has turned into five months of torture. Please help!

Worst solar company around, do not use them. I was told project would take 90-120 days and we're going on 9 months now. They lie about time frame to get the job done, they schedule days for the work to get done and the crews don't show up and when you call and ask what happened they say "I don't know" The management doesn't return your phone calls and if you tell them that you feel like you deserve part of the cost back they (the management) get snotty with you and tell you they have a legal team if you want to go a different route besides dealing with them. I would give zero stars if I could
Where to start? Sun pro sales man came out and told me that going solar would take over my house usage. What we paid for electric would go away we live in the country and power goes out a lot my partner is on oxygen full time thought this would be good. Now it cost about 300.00 more a month it was to run everything off batteries. it won't run nothing but the lights. It's a scam they tell you what you want to hear and can't go through with what they promised I could write a book about the lies and non compliance don't be taken by this so called business...
If I could give 0 stars I would
If I could give 0 stars I would.signed paperwork for solar in JUNE . Was told then it would be 135$ a month come to find out several months later that is no the case it will be 135$ a month for 12 months and after that if I dont pay 9K$ it will go up to 189$ a month which saves me nothing on my electric ***. That is neither here nor there. My main complaint with this company is they NEVER do what they say right up to supervisors cannot return your call when they say they will.I have been through 2 different account managers *** was the first one and the new one *** has not been much better. Now it is Jan 2022 and we have panels on our home (Installed in Sept 2021) that have yet to be inspected. Someone has to be home for inspections and we were here yesterday 1/3 for our first inspection date. Guy from the city came to inspect asked if we had our paperwork. (Of course no one gave us any paperwork for inspector) A sunpro electrician was supposed to meet him out here and never showed. Inspector for city said he was going back to his office to pull the proper paperwork and he would be back. Never showed and neither did Sunpro electrician IMAGINE THAT. I called Sunpro to be told that *** was out for the day he leaves early but that his supervisor was in a meeting but would call me back as soon as he is out (NEVER HAPPENED) Finally this morning 1/4/22 *** calls me to tell me that my inspection was rescheduled for 1/20 (I have to take ANOTHER DAY OFF OF WORK) but couldn't tell me why it was rescheduled, The only thing I can think is that the electricians could not come yesterday so the city had to reschedule. I really regret going solar it has been stressful, a hassle and it wont save me any money. DO NOT USE this company PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD. I have also emailed and called the over *** with no hear back from him either so he doesn't care that his company has the worse *** ever. Owner doesn't care why should the employees.

We were excited at the prospect of adding solar panels, but buyer beware! SunPro (now ADT Solar)'s sales team talks a big game to the point of deceptive and predatory sales practices.During the process, we provided a year prior's worth of energy bills and were shown how our energy bill would drop to next-to-nothing directly from the sales materials. Unfortunately, that wasn't nearly the case:- Our power bill is only offset by MAYBE 50%- Approximately one third of our energy comes from the solar panels.I don't want to discourage anyone from going solar, but would recommend several things:- Understand exactly what is being installed and how you will be using energy. Solar Panel installations will only provide power during the day when the system is producing. You will still be using energy from the power company at - Shop around -- get several quotes. Understand that installation prices are negotiable.- Ask questions. Read everything in detail. Understand exactly what you're signing up for.- Talk to your homeowner's insurance company to let them know about the installation.- Determine whether or not your power company will actually reimburse you for excess energy produced. Some will only do it based on a lottery system and have caps on how much can be sold back. Know that it won't be sold to the company at the same rate it is being sold to you. While we've had no problems with the service, support, and installation of our solar system, I'm still extremely bothered about how dishonest and deceptive it was up until we signed the agreement. I won't be surprised to see a class action lawsuit in the future.
If I could give 0 stars I would. I initially met with a salesperson in July. He lied to us to get us to sign up talking about credits that would be applied to our electric bill to cover the cost until the system was installed in the next 2 or 3 months, using the rebate to pay down the total owed on the financing to have lower payments, etc. I went 3 - 4 months without hearing a word from them. They said they didn't have a good phone number for me, but my account manager got in touch with me in early December by emailing me asking me for a number to call so if they really had something to communicate they could have emailed me anytime between July and December. It's January now and still no system, the funding is getting ready to expire, and the tax rebate that was to be applied to the balance can't be claimed on this year's taxes because now it's January. Now they're requesting paperwork from me to try to get an extension on the funding and they're telling me if I cancel I'll be billed $3000. I did cancel and told them I don't owe them a dime for work they did not complete. The cancellation lady said she'd be sending me an invoice, refused to let me speak to a supervisor, and refused to get me a copy of our phone call. Terrible business who will try to bill me and send me to collections for nothing. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH ADT EVER.
Sooo sorry we ever put one ounce of trust in this company
Sooo sorry we ever put one ounce of trust in this company. This has been a nightmare since signing their contract back on June 18, 2022. We had our large oak trees cut back that next weekend as told to do for solar success. We are now paying $450 electric bill's as result of shade they provided, thinking that everything thing would be done in a timely manner. They have not been truthful in so many of their excuses for not getting anything done. They originally said they were waiting on our permitting, but learned that what they were waiting on, was their name change from Sunpro to ADT. After them dropping all their roofing materials on our roof in the area my husband said do not put in that area, it caused water pouring in on a rain we had, so they came and tarped it. Then *** came through, they took materials off roof, but left enough to hold tarp down at least. Their roof quote in the roof, solar, insulation package was double the roof quote only prices from other quotes we had gotten. Roof was insulted 12/29/2022. Had to sign no contract that added $3,300.00 more to total cost. Since then the electrician showed up, as well as the solar and insulation people were to show up the same day 12/16/22. As the electrician was finishing up, he said all the other crew had called off that day. Later we learned it was a financial delay and needed an extension to today's date, 01/06/23. We were told that it would be done before this date! Panels at least put on the roof as that would make finance company happy if they're just up there. Also that ADT would be making our payments, until it was in working order. How convenient that the representativeCasey, was not available to the 5th of January. So as I tried to reach out on the 5th... No response, NO SURPRISE! So as of today, we are just out of luck and no closer to any credible solutions and at this point could care less! I would never ever ever recommend this company, nor put another person through the stress caused.

We were looking to make our home more energy efficient, my husband researched solar panels and contacted SUN-PRO Solar
We were looking to make our home more energy efficient, my husband researched solar panels and contacted SUN-PRO Solar. The representative came and I discussed the information I found about areas where solar panels were the only option for energy. We were told "for as long as the sun shines the panels will produce energy." We were told the panels would produce enough energy to supply our home and we would be able to sell energy back to the electric company, this never happened. Early on I realized the panels were not producing as promised. I contacted SUN-PRO with my concerns a representative came out and did a song and dance about customer satisfaction, but there was no change in panel production. In April 2022 we needed to have our roof replaced SUN-PRO said to maintain our warranty their workers had to remove and replace the panels. Their workers removed and replaced the panels, but no one checked to determine if they were working properly. For months we called requesting someone come out and make sure the panels were in fact working properly for 3 months we were told "you are in queue" it was not until we contacted the Office of the Attorney General of ***, *** that we were informed a tech would be out to check the panels that week. The tech found 2 of the 22 panels were dead and the system itself was not reporting and required a 10-day delay of productions was required for the system to reset itself. First, the solar panel we purchased did and have not produced as promised, Second, the customer service is abysmal. To add insult to injury we were contacted by a rep from Mandeville she stated the 22 panels we have were designed to produce 6.5 Kilowatts which was NOT what we were originally told, there is no way we would have invested $25,000.00 for a limited amount of energy. We were told "As long as the sun shines the panels will produce energy." This was a disaster; this company is not reputable and does not represent good business practices.

we signed a contract with Sunpro in July with the agreement from Sunpro that they would install the system within 90 days
we signed a contract with Sunpro in July with the agreement from Sunpro that they would install the system within 90 days. They came and mounted the panels on my roof in September and told us to wait for the electricians to come and finish the job. A couple weeks after the panel installation it rained and I noticed water leaks. I took a video and pictures from inside the attic and noticed water leaks in multiple rafters and holes that were drilled during the instillation as if they were just drilling and missing the rafters and they just kept making holes until the hit a rafter then did not seal the excess holes that were made. I called with a complaint and they came in the middle of the night to do the repairs in the dark. In mid November, I was contacted the night before that the electrician would be showing up to hook the system up and I had to scramble to get time off work. The contracted electrician showed up but the SunPro employees did not show up with the supplies. While the electrician was there, he noticed that the specs and information he was given did not match the house. He was never told that our contract included a new electrical panel and he was never told that the meter was inside the garage and therefore needed to be moved before anything else could be done. Nothing was done that day and nothing has been done since. Phone calls are rarely returned, emails are rarely responded to and no progress has been made. When we got our first snow, we noticed that the snow was being trapped by the panels and, once thawed enough to drop from off the panels, the snow falls in a large clump onto the gutters and the excessive weight caused leaks in the gutters. After this issue, I instructed SunPro that I wanted the panels removed and they stopped calling and responding. They brought up that they would contact their lawyers and have not made any progress since. I am still trying to get them to tell me what needs to be done to get these panels off of my house.

I decided to start my going solar on 11/24
I decided to start my going solar on 11/24. The representative that came to the house was prompt, knowledgeable, and was not pushy with the sale. I had already decided that I wanted solar and more about the process, price, etc. From that point, everything seemed to be going smoothly for install. My install date was 03/17. They installed the 13 panels at that time. I decided after the fact that I wanted to add a backup battery. I agreed to go to Tesla. At this time, everything seemed to go to h*** in a handbasket. During this process, I have had multiple account managers with abysmal communication between everyone. I have counted at least six changes in account managers during this process. In addition, the original permits for the first 13 panels had expired and were never inspected. This required the permits to be renewed before any inspection could be done. My initial sales representative has been great and has contacted the needed people when I was not getting anywhere. It was not until 10/18 that the remaining two panels were installed, along with the battery and the electrical panel upgrade and relocation. Then, I had to wait for the company to do their inspection. This was done on 12/3, without a call prior, as was told there would be. After this, I was scheduled to inspect by the city on 12/8. My friend was home for this inspection. I called the city the morning of 12/8 and was notified that the inspection had to be rescheduled due to an illness with the city inspector- acceptable that cant be controlled. However, the city notified the current account manager on 12/7. I was never informed. The only reason I knew the inspection wouldnt happen today, 12/8, was because I called the city myself. The install team coordinator cannot provide a time window for install. I expect to have the city inspection on 12/13 and hope to have the electric company inspection by the end of the year to take advantage of the 26% tax credit this year. This company needs to do a much better job with communication across all teams, especially the consumer who has spent over $40,000.

I interviewed four different solar companies
I interviewed four different solar companies.. Eric, the regional sales rep, was great. This was after the first sales person, scheduled an appointment and never showed up. No call..just nothing. I should have taken that as a sign. Since I wanted 3 bids at least, I called and said the guy never showed. However, Eric was very responsive and helpful. A great salesman. It has gone down hill since then. The project manager was horrible. Telling me they submitted a building permit and actually had not done-not so. Telling me they had to wait a few days for a simple address change on their part for an insurance form. Eric was moderately helpful at this point, So I started checking the building permit issue myself. Sunpro had a new regional project manager call me and I was told last week that they had talked with the building permit people and that they had recalculated the load and another minor issue. I since found out that the other issue was with the underlay. Sunpro told me it was taken care of. Not so, they have not submitted or handled the underlay question and was told they are still waiting on an answer from their engineering. I have sent numerous emails copying Eric, other regional reps. I have even talked with an attorney...but it appears I am stuck. At this point, I wish I had gone with my very close almost a toss-up number 2 choice. I really wish I had., It has now been 6 weeks and nothing has moved. They have great sales people and slick materials..but be skeptical of their promises, etc. I am very worried. Wish I had read some more of these reviews. Proceed with caution.
So adding to my previous post. After two moths and no progress, Eric was able to release me from the company. As I said before, Eric ***, is excellent but he has his hands tied by not getting the support from others, I think. It is a great product and Eric was super knowledgeable. Sadly, it di not work out. I would encourage people to consider the company since the product is great, but be careful. Maybe it just an issue in SE Florida and not in other parts of the country it appears from the reviews. I think they will eventually do better
Don't believe this company they lie and cant keep promises
Don't believe this company they lie and cant keep promises. Since day 1 its been hell electricity was installed wrong and wires were crossed, pipes were installed at an ugly angle. The electricity guy was watching youtube to install everything.. To top it off one of the guys told me there's no point in solar because you don't save money! I Called the next day to my sales guy everything and sent him pictures of the project they had another group of people come fix the first group of guys mistakes. They came and went a few times till everything looked good. Here we are in February way past the 90 days. Still don't have nothing up and running. I have called this so called " Mark ***" numerous of time and still have no call back to get a resolution for anything. I was told we can call him for any issues when you sign up . not true ! Not 1 call have i got from him. Its been a back and forth issue and 1 thing after another lie after lie. I would leave a negative review if i could. Its been nothing but a headache. Then i had a voicemail that sunpro and cps were coming out on a certain day. I took that whole day off and missed work for nothing. I was told another lie and i had proof because of the vm. I called my sales guy and told him about what happened and how fed up i was again. I was told im being reimbursed for the day of missing work of 500 Then i spoke with another guy that same week and said he was going to send out a 500 check for the day i missed . i told him at this point i want some compensation because of everything i have gone threw. I was told i will get a call back. Three weeks later i finally get a call back to be told they will cover 3 months off my payments and nothing for my day of work missed. I told the guy about the check and he basically told me he never told me that making it seem like im lying. When im not ! Then he wanted to say because they replaced my main breaker and added outlets. Making it seemed like we asked for that freebie. We didnt we offered to pay for it but instead my sales guy said it wasn't a problem because they do things like for customers. This is not making this solution right. I want what i was promised. I have been patience for months.

We received a visit from the sales man at our home to offer us a switching deal from GA *** to Sunpro Solar
We received a visit from the sales man at our home to offer us a switching deal from GA *** to Sunpro Solar. The deal went bad from he beginning. The sales stated we would not pay more than what we were paying for *** when switching to solar. We questioned this from the start so, I told my husband I didn't want to go through with it as he originally lied when pitching the product. The salesman called the district manger on the day of install because I wouldn't allow them to move forward with the install until someone showed me the part of the contract that guaranteed I wouldn't pay more. He sent me a section of the contract that stated based off of my usage with GA *** that I would receive a refund each month because, I would have roughly a $2000 credit each month. I agree to the install as this would save me money each month. Well, here is the kicker, this started in May and it is now August and still no solar because, guess what? They did all of these numbers and guarantees off of my old address so, we have been offered refund checks until they fix it and I am still paying a *** with solar panels on my roof and the refund checks for the loan refunds take 4-6 weeks and I must pay them first to be reimbursed so, technically I am out of more many than when I started and I still have no solar. During the installation the guy damaged my ceiling and never reported the he did it so, We had to call and let them know well guess what they did? They sent a second hand repair man with his girlfriend to look at it and decide what was best to correct it. I advised prior to them coming to repair it that the ceiling would not match and they would need to replace the entire ceiling. They simply let him choose what to do and left it as such. The repair guy also agreed that it would not be able to be exact match so, he found what he could. Sunpro solar never came to see the work or anything and yes, it's a mismatch. This is becoming a nightmare! The super response team never calls you back about your complaints they just take them and nothing happens. They have literally breached the contract in many ways and no one and I mean no one cares to resolve the issue to the point we called to let them know we will seek legal action if they don't remove them and cancel that contact with Loanpal because, I have no solar panels that are operating. I am paying for both with a half repaired ceiling and no communication from anyone other than someone answering the phone saying "I will have someone contact you" or "we are trying to see what went wrong". I want out of this deal and the panels removed at this point. This has taken roughly 5 months just to give me more debt and troubles than I previously had. This company has to be the worst I have ever dealt with. I guess I'll have to let a legal team help close this one out. Please don't listen to anything they say, it Is all lies to sell a product that will probably never work while you accumulate more debt for it.
First of all, we would not choose to install solar if we had it to do over again
First of all, we would not choose to install solar if we had it to do over again. If we had been informed, we would have avoided getting sucked into the sales pitch we were given about selling power back to the electric company. Sunpro sales failed to inform us of the paltry pay-back the utility would give us for the power we now generate on their behalf. Basically, the electric company charges thirty times more for power than they pay us for our meter "running backwards". Oh how the solar industry loves to use that term, but what it means at the end of the day is that we are paying on a large loan to generate power for them. Nor were we informed that the loan we took out for solar would be considered by most banks a 2nd mortgage on our property. We had endless problems with Sunpro and would NOT recommend this company to anyone. From the time we signed a contract it took TEN months to get hooked up to the grid! Along the way we had regular and innumerable problems with Sunpro dropping the ball on us, to the point of ridiculousness. We are thoroughly disgusted at this point, especially because the state inspector that finally showed up informed us that we had just that day appeared on the state docket after being told by SunPro that they had submitted the inspection request weeks prior. We kept hearing things from the SunPro office that turned out to be false. There were multiple problems with the administrative offices of this company while we feel that the ground crews did a good job when they were here for installation work. Here is the list of issues we've had with this company 1 - The salesman did not convey the complexity of our installation either to us (ahead of signing) or to the SunPro staff so that they could assess the installation ahead of time. This resulted in confusion and delays, and a less than optimal execution vis a vis protecting our trees.2 - There were multiple miscommunications on SunPro's part that resulted in project delays. We often felt that it was only through our own diligence that information got conveyed between involved entities, to wit: SunPro's various teams, our electric company, and government offices.3 - Our installation was supposedly scheduled, and we were ready and waiting at home for the crew... which never showed . *** following up, we learned that our "account manager" had spaced it out. This resulted in another two weeks' delay.4 - On a regular basis we were told we would receive call-backs from SunPro staff to update us on status and in answer to our questions. Frequently we did not receive promised phone calls from the seven different "account managers" that were assigned to us (including at least one supervisor). We found it surprising and confusing that we kept hearing, "I'm your new account manager." This shuffling between staff members demonstrably contributed to delays and misinformation. We ultimately found out that we'd been lied to about inspection scheduling, resulting in six more weeks delay. While it is still unclear which SunPro entity was responsible forthe misinformation we received, we definitely lost trust in the company's word.5 - The incompetence we've suffered at the hands of this company has also cost us in much wasted personal time, and stress. If it weren't for our time-consumptive monitoring of the situation and our constant follow-through, who knows how much longer the delays would have been?6 - The installation crew was not provided with either training or the type of equipment that could have prevented damage to tree roots on our property trees that are very important in terms of both property value and environmental benefits in a desert climate. We cannot recommend Sunpro Solar. While we appreciated the two installation crews who did a good job, the administrative-level problems were continuous and daunting, up to the very end. Our impression is that this company jumped into the home solar market without having sufficient infrastructure in place to support its customers. As is so often the case, accountability to the consumer has been sacrificed on the altar of company profits.

So, let me introduce myself my name is *** and I am an 11-year Army veteran. I moved to *** for my job about 3 years ago and my wife wanted to look at going solar. I put in an inquiry for sun pro solar and two days later a representative named *** arrived. We were paying between *** a month in electricity and after he ran the numbers and the power for our system stated they would be able to install a system that would cost *** a month year-round as a set payment that would produce enough power to power our home. The system we purchased Sixty Thousand...that is right sixty thousand dollars but thought hey it is saving us money and reducing the carbon foot print on the earth. So, when the system was installed we were only producing 20-35%. So, I reached out several times to the rep which kept saying I am sending it to our team to review it and get it corrected. Weeks go by until I remember that *** the *** sent us a card with his personal cell phone number on it. Very nice touch reels in customers especially ones that are exempt officers themselves that work for a very successful company, I was like man that is cool he is still personable even at his caliber. ANYWAY, I screen shot all the messages back and forth between the sales rep and myself and how the communication just stopped and nowhere we are in limbo paying 300 to sun pro and *** for electricWhich is now 50 to 100 dollars higher than we were paying--. So, I finally email *** Thu, Feb 4, 5:36 PM to marcjones Good evening ***,Sorry to bother you but I am having some issues with my sunpro system. I have reached out several times to my salesman *** with no success. We spent *** on this system and still am having issues with paying for electric even though it was promised we would not have a ***. Also *** said that if the system wasnt completely in 2020 we would get a 4% cash back from sun pro. This again I have brought up several times with no success. I am going to attach my texts with your employee so that you can witness what I am talking about. With your letter you sent us I feel that you care about your customers and wanted you to see what we are going through.after trying to follow the proper steps and deal with ***. This is the email I received back.*** Feb 8, 2021, 9:50 AM to me *** Thank you for the feedback. Let me start by saying this is unacceptable, and I am sorry for the delays. He calls me has me start submitting my electric bills for reimbursement to ease the payment so that it can give his department time to figure out what is going on. I sent *** 1 email a week for 3 weeks with no response so then I send another email to *** but as you can already guess no response. With all of my frustration I still am able to compose this email to ***.On Thu, Apr 8, 2021 at 8:19 PM *** wrote:Good evening ***,I really hate involving a Ceo of a company considering I work for a class 1 railroad and know that problems from customers should never reach a ceo. I am not looking to settle as *** stated because he will not answer or explain what that even means. Settling to me means that I just get what was agreed upon. Being an 11-year army veteran, I was willing to give sun pro a shot and not only has the communication and process been spotty at bestwhich is crazy because the ceo has a better response and care for their customers than the company repsbut the empty promises and neglect is the worst. This has been going on for months and the last time I contacted you was feb 8th. I tried again to contact *** after his *** the picture and it rang twice and went to voice mail. All I wanted to be was a customer and accomplish going green with a company that seemed like they genuinely cared and understood. Please let me know what the next step is so that we can stop this. So, as you all have guessed again no response. I have submitted multiple pictures of the system not producing the power which again read the fine print because the rep guaranteed 100% yet the new regional manager said that it only guarantees 83%. I hit maybe 32-35% which is a LONNNNNGGGGGGGGGGG way from 83%. They offered me a settlement offer of adding 5 panelsnow I know that I am not a solar expert, but my current system is 35 panels. So, if 35 panels produce 30 % adding 5 more panels MIGHT take me to a 34%... I have all of the documentation back and forth and if they would make this right and even just come take the system back so we can wash our hands of it would be great but *** was nice enough to say I have free roam to make this financially right with you so I asked him to come take the system back because we are nowhere close to where we agreed unless they can do what was promised. He said that is not an option and would refer me to legal. I will continue to update as the case progresses but right now do not fall for it. Place your money in a smaller company that you get personable customer service and one that does what they say they will do. The next step for us is to begin contacting specialized service to see what needs to happen. This review is just a fragment of what has happened since install in Jan 2021, if you want the entire review comment and I can happily send you all of it I just did not want to write a novel.
Introducing myself, I'm Customer, an Army veteran discussing my solar panel issues.
Introducing myself, I'm Customer, an Army veteran. I moved for work 3 years ago, and my wife and I considered solar energy. I contacted Sunpro Solar, and a rep visited. We used to pay a certain amount for electricity, but the rep promised a solar system with a fixed monthly cost, producing enough power for our home. The system cost a significant sum, but we saw it as a long-term saving and eco-friendly investment. However, the system only produced 20-35% of the expected output. Repeated attempts to contact the rep were unsuccessful until I used his personal number from a business card. Despite being an officer in a successful company, I appreciated the personal touch. I documented our communication, showing the lack of follow-up, leaving us in limbo with high combined payments for solar and electricity. I escalated the issue to the CEO, expressing my disappointment and attaching evidence of the poor service. The CEO apologized and promised action, but the regional manager, responsible for rectifying the situation, was unresponsive. I sent multiple emails without reply, and eventually, I sent a frustrated email to the CEO. As an 11-year Army veteran, I expected better from Sunpro. The regional manager's neglect and empty promises were disheartening. The last contact was in February, and since then, the situation hasn't improved. The new regional manager made promises but failed to follow through. The proposed solution of adding a few more panels seemed insufficient. I've kept all documentation, and at this point, I'd prefer to return the system and end this ordeal. The regional manager mentioned legal referral instead of a solution. A new regional manager took over but also failed to communicate effectively. This experience, with a significant investment during a challenging time, has been incredibly frustrating. I'm also expecting a baby and facing increased electric bills despite the solar payments. I advise against buying from this company and suggest considering smaller companies with better customer service and integrity. I'm now seeking specialized services to resolve this and will update on the progress. This review is a summary of the ongoing issues since installation in January .

Solar and attic insulation
My contract was signed with ADT in March 2022. I had secured financing for the new roof and solar panels at the time. By the end of June 2022, the roof had been installed, the solar panels installed, and the energy saving package to include a NEST thermostat, energy efficient bulbs (half don’t fit anything in my house), hot water blanket and the check for...

I signed a contract with ADT Solar in August for a 19.8KW system and battery. The sales manager promised me in writing that they would upgrade my electric to 400 amps from 200 amps. On that basis I signed and put down a $23,900 down payment. On the day of the install, I found that they were only putting in panel for a 200 amp system. The regional manager denied his promise (which I have in writing) and I had the install stopped.
Since them, I have tried to contact ADT Solar multiple time at all levels of the organization with no response i.e. crickets.
And now I have come to find that the system only produces 14.2 KW AC vs. the 19.8 implied on the contract
Claimed loss: $23,900.90 plus the loss of power saving and tax credits. And the loss of sleep
Desired outcome: I want a successful project but maybe best to get my down payment back and go somewhere else
Sales Rep
Sales guy name Pete Forness is a con artist. He got us to trust him and then conned his way into a 60,0000 sale. He told us we were gonna get back 20,000 from the government knowing that I was retired and collecting from Social Security he told us since we didn’t have trees around we would receive a credit almost every month from the utility company depending on the weather, He told us that he would even throw in a free service at no charge where their team of techs will come in and change the thermostat, check and seal the doors and windows, check for proper installation, install new bulbs throughout our home to make sure we were saving on our energy efficiently. ALL LIES! Please people don’t just sign as me and my wife did make sure you read your contracts we are paying more than double our utility bills now. We may loose our home cause we can’t keep up! This guy should be arrested and thrown in jail!
Desired outcome: Refinance the loan or take back your panels

Being Ghosted by ADT Solar
Finally after a year from contract signing August 4, 2022 my solar system was installed on August 18, 2023. Run around and lies about time to do aspects and scheduling. Was told install was being put on schedule last November. Install was done by competent and efficient sub-contractor three weeks ago. Paid approx 90% of contract. Was told county final inspection was scheduled in two weeks.on 9/7/2023. Date came and was told by ADT they had to cancel because plans did not conform with install. and needed revision.Found out that initial inspection was never even scheduled. ADT is ghosting me. Have submitted questions and assigned contact will not answer or even say they will find answers. Numerous things depend on receiving PTO from utility and cannot even get the county final inspection done. Past the point of ridiculous.
Thanks
Desired outcome: Need contact person who has answers.
Lack of proper communication and action
My name is Deborah DeHart in Chicaksha ,OK . Phone [protected] I have ADT solar panels installed in April 2023. I have tried for three weeks to get an ADT person to get the solar...

Good morning,
I would like some help with this issue. I purchased a system from ADT in July of 2022, they installed the panels on my roof in November of 2022. They didnot turn them, on until June 14th of 2023. I received all kinds of excuses, after they turned them on I found out I needed a new roof due to the 4 year olds shingles being defective. In my contract with ADT it was set up that if I needed a new roof ADT would have my panels removed and reinstalled after the roof was done. It took me 5 weeks to get ADT to agree to remove them and have them out back on. Now it has been another 6 weeks and I am getting the run around again to have them removed. I keep being told that it is due to the design team. I have contacted another company that uninstalls and install solar panels and they are asking 8400 dollars to do it. Can you please get with someone in your company and get my panels removed so I can get my new roof. If we have a storm and my home is damaged due to this delay I will be seeking the damages from ADT. If your company is not going to take care of this promptly then I will pay the other company and hire an attourney. Please have someone contact me ASAP.

Desired outcome: Do what the contract states and remove my panels and reinstall them as soon as my roof is done. The roofing company states it would only taker 2 days to do my roof.
Finishing install
I signed up with ADT Solar about year go, panels were installed in 08/2022. The local town people came out to inspect on 11/2022, we failed that inspection. We had to wait until 04/2023 for the town inspection, we passed that inspection now we had to wait until 5/23 for the power company to come out and do there inspection which we failed, they left a list of things that needed to be corrected. Here we are the 3rd week in June and we are waiting for another inspection from the power company. ADT said they would reimburse me for the loan payments but I haven’t seen anything from them and they refuse to answer my direct question about the payment.
I am extremely upset about the length of time and the lack of response fromADT.
Desired outcome: Activate my system so I can use it and reimburse my payments.

Among a myriad of installation problems (they had to dig multiple trenches, tore up my lawn and landscaping, cut a LPG line because they weren't hand digging as agreed upon close to the house, etc.), ADT (SunPro) Solar mis-designed my solar system in their haste to get to a sales contract and now lack a sense of urgency to resolve the issue to my satisfaction. ADT did not account for an existing whole house generator and 400 amp service to two 200 amp breaker boxes when they designed my system. I had to put the brakes on the project because the generator was not electrically isolated from the solar PV system. In sum, the ground mounted solar system, installed for over a month now, is unusable with no ETC for PTO known by any party in their management hierarchy. The system failed inspection with the county and a one line engineering diagram reflecting the final wiring is all that is needed to move the project forward. It has been three weeks since the inspection failed, and there have been no communications reflecting 1) understanding of the problem and 2) an update on the one line diagram. The first payment on my $95K solar loan is inside 30 days, and I fear that 1) the system will not be PTO and 2) based on other complaints, they will not honor their commitment to make these loan payments for me, which will place me into a financial hardship. Finally, they sold me a solar system consisting of ***380s and *** has left the solar business. I get that this is on me for not doing my research but it's obvious now they were in a rush to sell me outdated/sunsetting equipment and I'm clearly paying a premium for that. However, ADT getting this solar project complete per the contract and promised solar projective as the solar loan has funded that I am liable for is on them. As a veteran I placed my trust in this company, and I would not recommend them to anyone. There are so many better choices out there. Get multiple quotes and read the complaints and reviews. They matter!

On June 9, 2022, my wife and I entered a contract with ADT Solar, LLC, to install solar panels on our new home. The company installed the panels and hardware on August 8, 2022. As of this entry, January 10, 2023, our system has yet to be inspected to be activated. We have been given what seems like a scripted response to our repeated calls. My wife contacted a representative for PSL and was told that the permit expired on December 23, 2022. We forwarded the information to our project manager. I finally found a number for customer support which was on December 21, 2022. I spoke with a customer service agent and she assured us either herself or someone from scheduling would call us within a few days. We are tired of the delay game and would like ADT Solar to finish the job so that we can take advantage of the needed savings we were promised. Unfortunately, with tight cash flow, we applied for a reverse mortgage for some cash flow (we are both retired). The lender insisted we include the total balance of the Solar loan, therefore, our system is totally paid for. This is creating undue stress to our whole situation.
We met with ADT solar at our home last April 2022. We agreed to have solar installed and the payment was going to be in the 320 range. They told us it would produce 85% of our electricity. They finally got the install done at the end of October. After talking with a representative, they informed me that the system would generate a little under 50% of our electricity. I contacted ADT and informed them of this discrepancy. After speaking with several people, they asked that I give them a chance to make it right. They told me they would add more panels to our system at no cost to us. The last time I talked with the sales manager was around November 14th. He assured me it was all set to proceed and it would not incur any additional cost. Despite my efforts, I have called and left messages and no one will return my call now. The contract is in my name and the address is on file with them. Instead of saving money as promised, our electricity bill has doubled. This has put us in a terrible financial situation. We pursued solar energy to save money, but we have seen no savings. I am ready to contact the state Attorney General and file a complaint about ADT's deceptive practices.
tract for solar on 12/11/22. Took till 11/9/22 for job to be completed. I have been waiting since 11/9/22 for place cards for final I spection from city and SDG&E. I ha e text, emailed and left a few messages with the *** at SunPro/ ADT solar and cant get a response I am getting my loan payments taken out by Good Leap and do t have a working system after 2 months. I purchased ADT solar back in August and was told this would be a four month process from start to finish. I have to constantly send emails for answers that takes a week or two to answer, receiving wrong information, workmanship issues, threatening employee which I asked to leave my property, still not operable, house repaired, and about to pay my first bill this month. Responses arent online with my emails I send and I dont know what to do. I need assistance.
Start-up - My house is a new build and is located in a non-HOA neighborhood
Start-up - My house is a new build and is located in a non-HOA neighborhood. *** (salesman) ensured my wife and I that because we dont have an HOA that our system would be installed/completed within 90 days. We signed the paperwork in March 2022, we are currently in September with NO completion date in sight. Installation The installation started off well. We had no issues with the solar panels installed on the roof of the house. We had no issues with the installation of the electrical boxes next to the main electrical panel. The issues started after the 2 electricians left my main electrical panel partially completed. There has been arching from the loose cluster of wires hanging in my panel box. There are burn spots from the arching on the wall of the panel box and some of the wires look burned. The first power wall that was installed looked like it was dropped from the back of the Sunpro van with all the damage, dents and dings on it. The electricians stated that the power cell normally takes 3 guys to hang the power cell and that day there were only 2 of them. Sunpro replaced the power cell with no questions asked. The system has been sitting waiting on inspection for the last couple of months and the wiring isnt even completed. *** I have the hardest time communicating with my account manager ***. She never answers the phone, emails, or returns calls. The days (few far in-between) that I get the opportunity to speak with her she never knows whats going on. I get the same answer to all my questions your paperwork requires revisions *** I feel like Im working with a new company, and this is the first time they are installing a solar panel system on a home. I've left messages with *** (manager) and *** (Director of customer service). Both voice mails state they will return calls within 24 hours. They have called me over 500 times in 2 months to sell me solar panels. I have not consented to any communications from this company nor have I ever expressed interest in this company or solar panels. I recently bought a new house and Im guessing thats how they got my contact info. I have blocked over 5 different numbers, and they continue calling from different numbers harassing me until I buy solar panels. Absolutely disgusting company.
We ordered Solar from ADT. The panels were installed November, but Electrical panel from SMUD was installed in January. I've been communicating with ***) and she keeps telling me that she will notify the installer, but nothing happens. I even received a bill from the
Contracted with adt solar last year for roof and solar electric system, still waiting on completion and starting to get bills from subcontractors, being billed for financing on uncompleted project.
In March 2022 we contracted with ADT Solar for solar panels. These were installed partially on July 4th of 2022, but required inspection. In October they began charging us for the installation of what was still not working and we were still paying to full electric bill. In November they scheduled an inspection, which they failed. A re-inspection was set for December 17th. We waited all day and no one showed. We are now in January, paying double bills, and ADT is not responding to calls or emails beyond "it is the holidays and we're closed". We'd like them to complete the project and refund us for the double payments.
A sunpro representative named *** came into my home to sell me solar panels
A sunpro representative named *** came into my home to sell me solar panels. He said I would save $200 monthly on my electric bill. I explained to him I live on a fixed income as a disabled single mother ad couldn't afford to pay 2 bills a solar panel bill and an electric bill. He assured me that, that would not be the case. That if anything the electric company would be paying me. He broke down how many panels I would require to produce the amount of electricity I use. I trusted his knowledge since I didn't have any on solar power energy production. This entire transaction has been a nightmare. The start of installation began in October and wasn't completed until end of May 2022. In that time I had to constantly call and push for completion. I began being charged for the solar panels BEFORE they were even functioning. I fought with both companies about that as well, so sunpro who is now adt solar said they would reimburse me for the payments. I couldn't make the payments because as I had stated previously I live on a fixed income and I still had an electricity bill. After a few months I finally received the reimbursement checks but the panels were still not working. After the end of May they were finally "functioning" but they don't produce enough electricity to cover what we use in the house. Now 3 months later I now have a 200 hundred dollar solar panel bill as well as a 257 monthly electric bill. I am not saving any money. I'm actually spending more money than before having the panels installed. I've reached out to the company various times and they give me the run around and say that they cannot control my usage. I asked them why wouldn't they put enough panels to produce the amount of electricity I actually use. Also why didn't they inform me that I would still be paying an electric bill. No one in customer service has any answers for me and I can't afford both solar panel bill and electricity bill. I don't know what to do. affecting my credit

240 days ago, I entered into an agreement with ADT Solar for the installation of 68 solar panels at a cost of $107,000, which is double the initial contact price. After the contract was signed, communication with them became sparse. When they eventually completed the installation, the two ground-mounted arrays were not aligned correctly and were positioned too closely, resulting in the southern array casting a shadow on the northern array. Given that I have two acres of open land, it is perplexing why they would be installed in such proximity, unless it was an engineering oversight.
Then, for two months post-installation, despite the inspections being approved and my repeated attempts to reach out to the senior regional manager (whom I found on LinkedIn), it took his intervention to have someone activate the panels and finalize the setup. However, I later discovered they had not secured the necessary operational permission from the utility company, which jeopardized my electrical service as I was inadvertently supplying power to the grid without the utility's awareness.
Currently, they still lack the operational permission, and my arrays are not correctly integrated into the monitoring application. With the year having passed, I am at risk of forfeiting my federal tax credit, as well as additional incentives from the state, which together amount to approximately $50,000. To date, no one has provided a clear solution on how they intend to reposition and adjust the arrays to prevent shading issues.
Our solar install started in July 2022 and has not been completed. Work was started without a permit took 3 months I had to pay for the permit and they finally came out to hook up the panels. Work is still not complete. Missing parts to system. They won't submit the paperwork to power company to get approval to activate the system. They caused a roof leak and did not fix the water damage (giving them a second chance to fix correctly) payments for the system are late coming when they said they would cover the payments until system became active. Was told I would have whole home battery back up and only got partial home back up. Was lied to about how the solar tax credit worked and was not told there was a $16800 loan organization fee only a small fee may be applied. This started out as SunPro but ADT bought them out and will not return my phone calls.
I purchased solar panels from ADT solar, formerly SunPro in March 2022 for the sum of $43,000.00. Panels were installed and using by September 2022. The solar significantly lowered my electric bill. In November our power went out and I did not have any power. I contacted ADT as I was presented the solar as having battery back up. I was informed that the solar I am paying for is fed to AEP first and then I am buying it back, in addition to my $165.00 loan payment We were NOT informed that AEP would get the solar first I was also given upgraded panels as the company ADT was utilizing were no longer in business and the new panels had battery backup. To further fuel the situation my current electric bill is the same as my solar and AEP is charging me a handling fee. So now I am paying the same for my electric as I was before the solar. I used approximately $80.00 in electric from AEP and am being charged $83+ for AEP using my house and solar.
On June 10, 2022, I signed a contract with ADT Solar and paid a $1000 deposit, with a completion date set for 60 to 90 days. I didn't hear from ADT until August 17, despite making numerous calls to inquire about when construction would start.
On August 17, solar panels were installed on the roof. However, the electric meter panel was not replaced as the contract stated it would be, nor were they connected. I paid ADT $28000 at that time, as per our agreement. It wasn't until October 20 that I heard from ADT again, after repeatedly reaching out to various contacts. Finally, on November 8, the electric panel was replaced. Yet, ADT could not secure a City inspection. I was informed by a representative that the permit needed to be revised and that an inspection would occur in two weeks. As of January 8, 2023, nothing has been done, despite my weekly calls for an update.
I reached out to the inspection authority, and I was told that ADT had been notified that the installation did not meet code and would not be approved unless changes were made. On December 15, I called ADT to ask when the correction would be made and was told they were working on it, which is the same response I've received on every call.
I want the correct panel installed and inspected so I can get the utility company to connect me to the system. It has been 8 months with no completion date in sight. I want the installation completed or removed from my property, and my payment refunded, so I can find another solar installer. I have requested to speak to a supervisor or manager but have been denied. The ADT installation has exceeded their 120-day commitment per the contract. The delays have been entirely their responsibility. The location of the property is...
I had Sunpro Solar, now known as ADT Solar, install 28 solar panels in my backyard in December for over $62,000
I had Sunpro Solar, now known as ADT Solar, install 28 solar panels in my backyard in December for over $62,000. My representative is *** from the ***, , office who has a contact number ***. Originally, I was promised 30 panels and signed a Design Approval in July . The company then said they could not provide the 30 panels after all but said that 28 should make about the same as 30 panels. The company refunded me $1500 but I wanted the panels not a refund. After installation, the power was cut to my shed by their apparent contractor. SunPro told me to contact the contractor it has been about a year with multiple calls and texts and emails to SunPro and then to Goliath, the contracting company, and the power to my shed is still out as of August 2022. The cable to my shed had been severed during installation of the panels. The panels were not up and running and still do not generate much power and only work occasionally. The panels only occasionally work as I am not generating very much electricity despite it being spring and summer with a clear view of the sky as the Design Plan shows. The company provided compensation for 3 months for the problems by paying the monthly loan payment of $226 for 3 months. However SunPro promised to pay my electric bill in my contract which I signed if the panels did not function properly. They did not pay any electric bills. In February 2022, the panels seemed to be working, as the SunPro App showed the solar power my panels were generating. But then, the motherboard circuitry went out. I contacted my SunPro account manager, ***, at *** to discuss how to get my motherboard fixed. They sent out a rep to fix the motherboard. Then, the app would not connect to the motherboard because the app had to be reset in order to recognize the new motherboard. It has been a nightmare trying to get my shed's electricity repaired, the app working, and the panels working properly. Nothing has been fixed.

Hi, In January 2022, I signed a contract with Sunpro - ADT Solar to install solar panels in my house. I was told to expect the installation to be completed within 6 months, based on the company's track record in the area. The cost agreed upon was to be paid over 30 years with monthly installments of $278.04. Everything began smoothly, and by May 2022, all the panels were installed, with only the permit pending to initiate the service. By July, Sunpro ADT Solar had already received the full payment of $73,000 from the financing company. Despite this, I was left with a loan to pay each month, and the job was still incomplete.
The company's representatives, Adonis, the salesperson, and the account manager, who initially were in regular contact, became increasingly unresponsive. I spent months leaving voicemails, with only a few calls returned. Now, a year later, it seems they have left the company, and my attempts to reach anyone else have been met with silence.
ADT Solar has received full payment for a service they have yet to complete. The financing company continues to collect monthly payments, and I am left bearing the financial burden. The unfulfilled service has cost me over $2,000, not to mention the stress and frustration.
This is my final attempt to resolve the issue with the company before taking legal action. I have never felt so powerless and frustrated with a product or service. The blame lies solely with ADT Solar and their lack of commitment.
What do I want? I want to cancel the contract. They should remove the installed materials from my house, refund the payments I've made for a service not rendered, and terminate the loan agreement. My hope is to never have to deal with ADT Solar or any affiliated company again.
They installed solar panels and damaged our roof. The installer slipped and fell, damaging several areas of the roof as he fell. They sent several "companies" to evaluate and get estimates. They would get samples of the roof to be able to match the colors. This has been going on for a year and half. We have gave them plenty of time to resolve this problem and I'm tired of waiting and not knowing when it's going to be fixed. We have been patient and we want it fixed! They keep saying someone is going to contact me and NO ONE calls. We call our sell rep and start the process over again. He seems the be the only one concern about it. We want our roof fixed NOW!
I have been trying to get an installation date to reinstall my solar system for several months. After calling and leaving messages and sending text and emails with no response, I finally had a date for the installation to take place on December 9, 2022. The installers showed up but did not have the materials to do the installation and had to leave to pick up the materials needed. They returned around 3 PM and started the process, but darkness fell a little past 5 PM. Their manager assured me that they would be back Saturday to complete the installation, yet I am still waiting for that return date. The team left their equipment on my freshly installed sod, risking damage to it. I had to be proactive and move it off the sod myself. All I am requesting is for this project to be completed. The process was initiated around January 22, 2022. When calling the customer support number, I have requested to speak with a manager, but the associate refused to let me talk with management. I was told that the manager could not do any more for me than what was already being done. At the end of every call, I am assured that I will receive a call back the next day. However, I have been misled and lied to every time I called. ADT Solar has the worst customer service program I have ever dealt with. They promise you exceptional service, and don't deliver after they receive their payment.
We signed a contract for AD Solar panels on July 9, 2022. We were told by our sales representative that the panels would be installed and connected to generate power in a few months. The contract installation timeline states that ADT will install the System within a reasonable amount of time after signing the agreement. The approximate completion date on the contract states *** days from the agreement date. We signed the agreement date on July 9, 2022 and today is January 5, 2023 (approximately 180 days since we signed the contract). The panels have been installed but not connected. We are waiting for ADT inspection department to schedule an inspection. I contacted ADT by email on 12/19/2022 and was told in an email that they are scheduling inspections for projects that are 2-3 years old. Our solar loan payments are now scheduled to start in January and the solar is not even connected. We need to have the panels connected immediately. If ADT knew they are not able to finish projects for 2-3 years this should have been shared by the salesperson and in the contract that we signed.
In June this year I had someone come to my door advertising ADT Solar
In June this year I had someone come to my door advertising ADT Solar. After researching and contemplating I decided to go solar. I was told that the process would be 6-8 weeks. They told me they would install & hook up my panels on July 27, 2022. When I received the phone call regarding the installation I was informed that the electrical team didn't have enough people to come and that they needed to schedule the panel connection for another day. I would NEVER have allowed them to install panels knowing I would have to start payments 60 days out had I known they wouldn't show. After weeks passed & no one reached out to reschedule the hook up appointment I started asking questions. I was then told something completely different. The new claim was that they were waiting on my utility company's approval which I was lied to about in the beginning. *** informed me that everything was cleared & good to go before the installation happened. My utility company actually showed up on July 28th to inspect and were confused about the panels not being connected yet. This has been going on since July. When I have made contact with the utility company they have not been able to tell me anything about the hold up being them. I have emailed, called, and texted trying to figure out what was going on. All I was continuously told was that they were waiting on my county which I do not believe to be true. *** told me that I would be reimbursed for not having the panels hooked up. The loan for purchasing the panels is ON MY CREDIT REPORT! I am having to pay for something that is not hooked up! ADT Solar has yet to respond to me trying to cancel business with them and I have not received any type of funds from them to cover me paying on a system they lied to me about being able to use. I do not want to do business with them at all at this point. I want them to get this loan off of my credit, remove the panels, fix my roof, & be done with them altogether.

My husband and I met with a Sunpro salesman on 3-7-2022 at our home
My husband and I met with a Sunpro salesman on 3-7-2022 at our home. He explained the benefits of solar energy, checked my credit, and confirmed my approval. He assured us we could cancel anytime before installation without mentioning a fee. The contract, signed on his iPad, had an incorrect last name, which was never corrected. The next day, we attempted to cancel. Despite repeated calls to Sunpro and leaving messages, we received no response. When we finally reached a representative, she warned of a cancellation fee we were previously unaware of. We refused to pay this fee. After further calls, including to customer service for corporate details, we were misled with incorrect information. We demand to be free from this company and not be charged a cancellation fee we were never informed about. We discovered numerous complaints about Sunpro's deceptive practices. Our cancellation was delayed but has now been processed after much stress.

This is a message from a customer, our problem is with ADT solar
This is a message from a customer, our problem is with ADT solar. We purchased a solar system from them on 4/3. It cost over $73,000. We were told by their salesman that we would get tax credits in 2022 that would help pay down the cost of the system. He said we would get $18,437.38 in federal income taxes but, we would have to pay that to the loan company on the 17th payment. That is coming up this November 2022. We only got $4,345 in federal this year. He said we would receive $7,090 in state tax credits. We only received $1,237. Our tax lady said, it could take five years to get that all back. Now we don't have that payment. I asked them for an itemized bill; they only sent a copy of an invoice that showed there was a $25,000 payment credit, but we did not receive that. On top of putting us in a very stressful financial strain, they destroyed our property. They dug through our septic line to run underground wire; we are now having trouble with our septic system. The ditch they dug is still caving in, our tree is damaged & dying on the side where they dug. A small electrical box I asked them to move, they didn't. They destroyed our landscaping with pipes exposed where they just cut off and left them sticking up. It took them from April until November to ever get our system up and running. We don't feel it is producing enough electricity for how much it cost. I have tried reaching out to them with these issues only to be passed from one person to the next. We went through the state attorney general hoping to get some help with these issues that they have created; they offered us a courtesy payment of $4,437. Although we do appreciate their offer, we feel this offer is unacceptable. ADT solar has not taken into consideration the damages they are at fault for. I have tried over and over asking and begging them to come and fix these issues and to help us to come up with this ginormous payment; they have not done either. Thank you.

In June , I spoke with a Salesman from Sunpro Solar
In June , I spoke with a Salesman from Sunpro Solar. I told him my story and decided to go off-grid. He explained the company's loan and payment options. Initially, it seemed Sunpro Solar would solve my problems, but complications arose. The company transitioned to ADT Solar. I bought my house on Jan 15, 2021, and lost power in February. Disputes arose over a burnt-out meter, which the company denied responsibility for. I contacted Sunpro Solar for a solution. However, the service deteriorated, with infrequent technician visits and various excuses. In March, I met with the Operation Manager from ADT Solar and a representative from TEP at my house for work instructions. Despite promises, the work was inadequate. Unbeknownst to me, work was halted due to a complaint. The company clarified that our agreement included only solar panel installation, not trenching or new breakers. Attempts to discuss this were dismissed, so I informed my account manager. Four months later, I met again with TEP and ADT Solar, facing the same issues. On 08/11/2022, ADT Solar finally completed the job, but the inspection failed. The plans may have missed details of my house. I'm 28 years old and it's been a challenging 1yr & 4mts.

SUNPRO Solar representative, sat in my home and told us about a 26% rebate for the Solar Plan
A SUNPRO Solar representative sat in my home and told me and my husband that we would receive a 26% rebate for the Solar Plan when we filed our taxes. He stated that we could apply this rebate toward our loan for the panels, effectively paying off a quarter of our loan and keeping our payments the same. This was the main reason we agreed to the plan. I even shared this information with my father and friend, who were told the same by the representative. We were also informed that if we didn't apply the rebate to our loans, our monthly payments would increase after 18 months. On Dec. 23, 2020, I received an email confirming that Sunpro would compensate the '4% difference in cash' if the project was delayed and we missed the 26% rebate for 2020. Now, it's clear we are not receiving the 26% rebate as promised, which means our monthly payments for the Solar Panel loan will increase. My father and friend are equally upset, as they were also convinced based on this information. We had just bought a new house and our funds were limited, but we were persuaded by what turned out to be false promises. Additionally, I am still paying for electricity on top of my loan payment. Despite multiple attempts to contact Sunpro and the representative, there has been no response since the sale was completed. I regret having the panels installed and feel the public should be warned about these deceptive sales tactics.

My wife and I entered into a contract with SunPro on 11/11
My wife and I entered into a contract with SunPro on 11/11. Our contract price for the system is $55,836. This is the price told to us by our sales rep and what is on the contract that we signed. We were also guaranteed a $3,000 rebate that we were told we would get back roughly in July 2022. Over the last 3 months, leading up to July 2022, my wife and I have called multiple times to verify that our rebate of $3,000 would be issued and confirm the date. Our local office informed, "Yes, it's coming in July". When July came and we had not received it, my wife and I called multiple times(dates can be provided) and was told "Yes it's still coming" by ***. *** is the woman we called multiple times and always told us the same thing "End of July is when you'll receive your rebate". On August 5th, after not have receiving the rebate, my wife and I called and spoke with *** again, on this occasion she said "Oh, I'm sorry, I'm looking here at the paperwork and you will no longer be receiving the rebate. It was applied up front". This was news to us. Also our contract and paperwork that was signed and sent to us said $55,836. Nothing about the rebate being applied up front nor had the multiple conversations with *** had it come up that this rebate had been "applied up front". Of course we questioned it and said that our paperwork only lists this amount and under the verbage on the contract under Attachment 4 it states the following:"Your purchase price:$55,836 List any credits, incentives, or rebates included in the above purchase price:"(and it is blank here) No amount. Nothing to show that a rebate was included in the purchase price. We have sent this documentation to Sunpro and yet to have the issue resolved. We continuously call and have no return calls or when we get ahold of someone we are told they will call us back and they never do.This is misrepresentation and per the contract, our price is firm and our rebate is owed to us.

On September 4, I met with a representative to discuss solar energy installation.
On September 4, I met with a representative to discuss installing a solar energy system with his company, SunPro Solar. The representative was very convincing, and we signed the contract. However, I had second thoughts and I submitted two copies of the Notice of Cancellation to him on September 6. The representative returned to my home on September 7, and again convinced me that SunPro was the company to go with to get the best price and service over any other local companies offering similar services. I've been very wary of these door-to-door salespeople, so I contacted a company that rates solar companies and was advised that SunPro was indeed a reputable company. I signed the contract with SunPro Solar on September 7, for $60,986 at a certain finance charge for a 20-year term payable to CommonBond Lending LLC with the understanding that the government will pay or reimburse householders 26% of the cost, through tax credits, which I can use towards the principal of the loan. SunPro Solar began installing the solar energy system on Tuesday, October 5. Unfortunately, the system is still not in operation to date because the installation has failed inspection on several occasions and SunPro Solar has been completely uncooperative in resolving this matter. On December 3, I visited the local permitting office and found out that SunPro applied for the permit to install the system on September 20, but did not receive approval until December 1, at least two months after the solar system was installed. SunPro employees have been to my home to fix the system several times, but it is still inoperable. On January 7, 2022, Will, Operations Manager, sent an electrician to my home to check the system. The electrician returned to my home on January 21, 2022. A city inspection was scheduled on January 26, 2022, and the system failed again. SunPro has not delivered an operable solar energy system that can pass inspection.

A contract was signed with SunPro (ADT Solar) on November 17,2021
A contract was signed with SunPro (ADT Solar) on November 17,2021. *** came and completed an assessment on our home and recommended 25 panels. He assured us that he had overestimated the production for the Solar Panels that we would end up only having to pay Duke - our Energy provider the minimum cost. When I asked what would happen if the estimate was not correct, he assured me that SunPro would resolve it and that if we were not producing enough Solar and we paid extra for whatever reason over our Duke portion SunPro would investigate and compensate us. At the time we were installing a Pool and I informed him the pool would not be complete until another Month and he told me that he had overestimate the panels and that we should be fine. In February, our first couple of bills showed that we were not producing enough. I contacted him and the Account manager *** who after giving me the run around sent me over to Customer Support who wasn't going to assist me until I pushed them to run an audit on our bills. After waiting approximately 5 months they informed me that we are overconsuming. I assured them it is because the pool production was not accounted for correctly and that I had reached out to *** and *** and been giving a run around and no one wanted to help me. Now I'm paying a loan of $175 plus a *** from Duke of approx. $150. I texted and called *** and *** and no return calls. I wanted to solve this amicably but no one responded. They didn't care to call me back. I believe that I need more panels and a new assessment now that our pool is installed and I wasn't given fair information and our assessment was not correct. I don't feel that I should be at fault to adding more solar panels on the employee's error. *** / *** Loan with Common Bond ***. Loan amount for 25 panels $46,174. I would like for someone to call me and assist with in keeping with the employee's word that was given to me.

My wife and I signed a contract to purchase solar energy unit from SunPro/ADT for our home at ***
My wife and I signed a contract to purchase solar energy unit from SunPro/ADT for our home at ***. We signed the contract around July 14. The amount financed was $32,508.00 through *** We were told that the system would be installed within 1-2 months. However, it did not happen. The company finally sent someone out in September to begin the installation. The job was not finished. We were told that we would be contacted in about a month to complete the job, but it did not happen. What we discovered was that there were things that needed to be done that SunPro did not seem to be aware of such as a floodplain survey on our property & understanding what our electric company allowed. Two people finally came out on Tuesday, 7/26/2022, and did some significant work on the SunPro install. This came months after an insignificant amount of work had been initially done. As a matter of fact, one of the installers who came out on 7/26/2022 said: "Whoever started the job didn't do much." The two people who came out to our house on 7/26/22 said they could not finish because they needed an additional box to finish the job. His comment as he left was: "SunPro should get back to you on this, and tell you when they will finish up."On that very day on July 26th at 5:51 pm, I sent a text to the phone number *** that has been a contact number from SunPro that the job was not finished. There was no response. I followed up with a text to this same number (***) on the following Monday and still no response. I then followed up with a text to the same number last Thursday and still no response. As this solar unit currently sits, it is of no use to me and I am losing money. Any help that you can provide in helping me get this job completed would be helpful.Thank you for your help in advance. If they do not want to finish the job, they can return the money that financed this solar system.
