A'when i started with this agency in 2014 they paid very well but between 2020 and 2024 until thé end of thé agency due to a bankrupt, i m not certain to their honesty , i was not paid for m'y pictures who was send and bought by other customers, i m not certain about how many of m'y pictures was sold , unfortunatly all the photographers and all thé agency who are in the same situation make nothing to United all of us against agefotostock with a Law instance .
No royalty payments, no communications
Awful agency.
I used to have 10,000 images with them, and cancelled my contract as I was never paid a single cent by Age Europe - they owe me around 2,000 Euros. They refuse to pay, claiming all sorts of issues - useless staff, incompetent accounting systems (their own!), COVID, stress, legal claims against them etc etc.
Cancelling the contract is not easy and can take up to 2 years to do, so there is no issue about exclusivity - although Age still seem to continue marketing one's images after cancellation (and retaining royalties).
Their invoice system is ridiculous, in that they send photgraphers a "Collection Report" stating what is owed by Age, then the photographer has to write an invoice in a specific format to demand payment (why? - this system is from the 19th century). They of course, they just ignore that demand, and even sometimes claim they cannot pay as they need to reconcile with their own system to ensure no double payments, and their own system is broken! Why not just pay when they send the Collection Report go the photographer's nominated account? Because if they did that, they would lose all those royalties... None of my other (9) agents work in this complicated way, and indeed none of them withold payment like Age.
Their website is not bad, and indeed this is their game. They have a seemingly-professional website, then don't pay their photographers. So they get 100% of the revenues.
I have no idea how the "Pros and Cons of AgeFotoStock: A Review Breakdown" on this website can be so positive, ignoring all the negative reviews of actual photographers who are unpaid and have to put up with the childish and unprofessional sarcasm of the CEO. Probably written by the CEO himself! He has a lot of free time and money as he withholds royalties.
Recommendation: Stay well away from Age - they are, by far, the worst agency I have ever dealt with (and I have dealt with 9)..
Yes i Al in this case i would make a justice complaint but i didnt know how, im estonished that there IS not a massive complaint against agefotostock because a lot of photographes wainting paiements
AGE PHOTOSTOCK and his TEO (better a "T" than a "C" in CEO..)
Dear colleagues,
I take the liberty of writing to all (or almost all) the photographers who are cooperating with this company to warn you about the behavior of its CEO Alfonso Gutierrez.
My last invoice was paid in January 2021, after many many emails asking them to be paid, and in the last two and an half years I was not able to know my sales report, as the link has been cancelled.
After several emails to Alfonso Gutierrez and also to the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Madrid, which suggested me to contact a lawyer asap, and in addition to the local Police in Barcellona, here is the answer received by this "gentleman":
"Have you discovered that lawyers are expensive, huh?
What else is going to be your next discovery?
Now you need to understand that it is important to explain things better and concrete your wishes before you generate a personal neurosis that may affect you personally.
I'm really busy Calviño, and I don't have time for people who get mad with a fixed idea and invest time and make other people waste theirs.
So, clarify your ideas before wasting your time and mine.
If you need more information, please send me an email and I will inform you more in details."
If any of you have encountered the same problems, kindly let me know so we can take legal action against this disreputable way of operating.
Thank you for your time and best regards
Angelo Calvino
Recommendation: run away from this company
Agree 100%. I would be happy to join forces and take legal action. Contact me at colintrmarshall@yahoo.com.
Me too
Terrible management- doesn’t return slides and unprofessional CEO
Agefotostock Never returned my slides after I cancelled my contract. No response from company and I repeatedly asked. CEO has enough time to bad mouth my reviews but not enough time to give me my slides back. Extreme unprofessional. Glad my work is no longer represented but them and recent reviews from other photographers paint an even bleaker picture of their management“
Recommendation: Avoid. Don’t use this agency.
AgeFotoStock: A Blast from the Past with Old-School Practices and a 19th Century Website
AgeFotoStock is a company that seems to be stuck in a different era. They still use paper contracts and require letters to be sent by post to Spain. It's like they love stamps or something! Their website also has a certain old-fashioned charm that reminds me of the 19th century.
I'm not sure who's in charge of this joint, but they seem to be from another time. Don Alfonso, the godfather who runs the show, might be the culprit. Maybe that explains why AgeFotoStock is so behind the times.
If you're a photographer, you might want to steer clear of this place. They don't seem to be up to speed with the latest technology or trends. But if you're looking for a blast from the past, AgeFotoStock might be just what you need. Just be prepared to deal with some old-school practices and a website that looks like it's from another era.
AgeFotoStock Review: Low Sales and High Commission Fees
AgeFotoStock ain't the best at selling photos, so they gave some of my pics to another agency (where I already was a contributor). That's why I quit AgeFotoStock. They take a big chunk out of the payment they owe you - 24 percent! They say it's for taxes, but I don't buy it. I've worked with lots of other stock photo agencies from all over the world, and none of them have ever taken taxes out of my pay.
AgeFotoStock: A Company That Doesn't Pay Its Photographers - A Warning to All Creators
I gotta say, AgeFotoStock ain't no good. Me and a bunch of other photogs are owed some serious cash for work we did for them, and they ain't payin' up. It's been years, and they just ignore our emails and calls. It's like they don't even care about us creators. How they're still in business is beyond me.
If any of y'all are in the same boat as me, let's band together and take action. This ain't right. A company shouldn't be able to get away with stealin' from so many people and still be allowed to operate. It's just plain wrong.
Yes i Al in the same situation, agefotostock must had an insurence police during his activity i think all photographers and agencies who are in the same situation than us, WE must intend an Law procedure, i am french photographier.
AgeFotoStock Review: A Top-Notch Agency with Great Commission Split and Contract
AgeFotoStock is one of the best agencies out there, in my opinion. Their website is top-notch, and the people who work there are great. Plus, their commission split is really good compared to other agencies these days.
One thing that sets AgeFotoStock apart is their contract. When they edit your images, they add keywords, review Model and Property Releases, and even correct technical glitches that even "great" photographers make. It's a lot of work, so it's only fair that they ask for a three-year signed agreement before returning the images to you.
Overall, I'm really happy with AgeFotoStock. They work great for me, and I would definitely recommend them to other photographers looking for a good agency to work with.
AgeFotoStock: A Reliable Agency for Selling Your Stock Photography
AgeFotoStock is a great place to sell your stock photography. They only choose the best pictures to share with their customers, so you need to have a lot of good pictures to sell. To get started, you need to sign a contract and send it by mail to the agency in Spain. But don't worry, it's easy! Once you're signed up, you'll get access to send your pictures using FileZilla.
It can take up to a week or more to hear back about your selection, but it's worth the wait. You can be sure that only the best results will be shared with customers. AgeFotoStock is an old agency that has been around for a long time and has worked with many magazines.
If you're into commercial photography, you can earn a lot of money by selling your pictures through AgeFotoStock. It's a great way to make some extra cash and get your work out there for people to see. So if you're looking for a reliable agency to sell your stock photography, AgeFotoStock is definitely worth checking out!
Avoid AgeFotoStock: Low Commissions, Poor Sales Reporting, and Terrible Management Practices
AgeFotoStock is a website that photographers should avoid at all costs! The website has been on a downward spiral for years now, with commissions and sales plummeting at an alarming rate. In fact, some sales have been so low that they are barely worth the effort.
The sales reporting system is also a complete mess, with many uses going unreported and unpaid for months, if not at all. This is a major issue for photographers who rely on their sales to make a living.
But that's not all! The management practices at AgeFotoStock are absolutely terrible. The owner of the website blames his bad business practices on photographers, which is completely unfair. He also refuses to answer simple inquiries, and if you do manage to get a response, it will likely be unhelpful and written in a rude and critical tone.
Overall, AgeFotoStock is a website that photographers should avoid. The low commissions, poor sales reporting, and terrible management practices make it a nightmare to work with. If you're looking for a website to sell your photos, there are plenty of other options out there that are much better.
AgeFotoStock: Not the Best Agency for Photographers - Unpaid Invoices for Almost a Year
I gotta say, AgeFotoStock is not the best agency for photographers. They haven't paid their photographers for almost a year now. Can you believe that? It's just not right. I mean, we work hard to capture those perfect shots and we deserve to get paid for it.
And if you try to reach out to the CEO, Alfonso Guti?rrez, well, let's just say his communication skills leave something to be desired. He might tell you that you're mentally too old to understand the world or that you have a brick brain. Who talks like that? It's just rude.
But hey, maybe he's right and we're just not cut out for this new world. Or maybe he's just making excuses for not paying us. Who knows? All I know is that I'm still waiting for 8 invoices to be paid.
I hope they get their act together soon. I don't want to have to go fishing like Alfonso suggested. Although, I do love a good fishing trip. Maybe I'll join him if he ever decides to close shop. But for now, let's hope they start paying their photographers what they're owed.
AgeFotoStock: A Reliable and Trustworthy Stock Photography Website with Excellent Customer Service
AgeFotoStock is a great website for all your stock photography needs. They have a unique pricing system that allows you to choose the best licensing option for your specific needs. The variety of photography available on the site is amazing, with some of the best photographers in the world contributing their work. You can find photos from different genres and eras, making it easy to find the perfect image for your project.
One of the best things about AgeFotoStock is their customer service. They have some of the best customer service representatives in the stock photography industry. My Account Executive, Kevin, is an excellent example of this. He has helped me through countless issues and always follows up with me to make sure that my needs are met. Kevin is one of the best in the business and I am grateful for his help.
I have used multiple stock photography services in the past, but AgeFotoStock is definitely one of the best. They are similar to Alamy in terms of content and pricing, but AgeFotoStock wins hands down when it comes to customer service. If you are looking for a reliable and trustworthy stock photography website, then AgeFotoStock is definitely worth checking out.
Agefotostock Review: Outdated Contract and Poor Sales Record Make Them a Less-Than-Ideal Choice for Photographers and Buyers
Agefotostock is a stock photography agency that has been around for quite some time, although it is not as well-known as some of its competitors like Getty Images, Corbis, iStock, or Shutterstock. While some photographers and editors may be familiar with Agefotostock, it is not a household name among customers.
If you are a photographer looking to sell your pictures through Agefotostock, be prepared for a lengthy and complicated upload and selection process. Unfortunately, even if you do manage to get your work accepted, it is unlikely that you will sell many images through this agency.
One of the biggest issues with Agefotostock is their contract. Unlike other stock agencies that have electronic and online contracts, Agefotostock requires you to download and sign a contract that you then need to print and send by post to their office in Barcelona, Spain. This is not only time-consuming, but it also means that you are bound to their terms for a minimum of three years. If you want to cancel the contract, you must do so in writing at least 90 days before the expiration date, or it will automatically renew.
This outdated and archaic culture is evident when you visit their website, and it seems to be a deliberate strategy to make it difficult for photographers to leave the agency. If you do manage to sell your images through Agefotostock and then decide to remove them from your portfolio, you will find that it is not an easy process. Unlike other agencies where you can remove images yourself, Agefotostock requires you to contact their customer service team, who may take weeks to respond and then refuse to remove the images you want.
As a buyer, you should also be cautious when dealing with Agefotostock. They have been known to sell images without model or property releases, which could lead to copyright violations and legal issues for the buyer. Additionally, some photographers have reported finding their images for sale on Agefotostock's website without ever having signed a contract with them.
Overall, Agefotostock is not a recommended agency for photographers or buyers. Their complicated contract, poor sales record, and questionable business practices make them a less-than-ideal choice in a crowded market. If you are a photographer looking to sell your images, there are many other agencies that offer better terms and more opportunities for success. As a buyer, it is important to do your due diligence and research any agency before making a purchase to ensure that you are not exposing yourself to unnecessary risks.
AgeFotoStock: A Nightmare for Photographers - Avoid at All Costs
This company, AgeFotoStock, is a complete disaster. The only person left in charge is Alfonso Gutierrez, who claims to be the CEO. As a photographer, it's nearly impossible to get paid for your work. You have to send an invoice directly to Mr. Gutierrez, but even if you follow all the requirements, you won't get paid. Instead, you'll be ignored or insulted by Mr. Gutierrez, who seems to take pleasure in belittling people.
Mr. Gutierrez is quick to brag about his supposed 50 years of experience in the stock business, but he's not so good at actually paying photographers for their work. If you try to remind him about an unpaid invoice, he'll pretend there are mistakes in your invoice, even if there aren't. And if you prove him wrong, he'll mock you for "wasting time."
It's clear from reading comments online that Mr. Gutierrez has ripped off many other photographers. He even calls them "barking dogs" and treats them like vermin. He claims to have experience in IT, but his accounting system is from prehistoric times and doesn't even have basic controls.
If you try to delete your portfolio, you'll find that it's impossible to do so from within your account. Mr. Gutierrez will tell you that you have to terminate the contract first, but even if you do, he'll ignore your request to remove your images from his site.
The contract with AgeFotoStock is also a nightmare. It states that the company can retain your images for three years, and then automatically renew the contract for another year unless you give a 90-day written notice. This means that even if you give notice now, Mr. Gutierrez can continue to use and sell your images without paying you for almost another year.
It's a shame that a company like this exists in the stock photography industry. Buyers and agents should be aware of how poorly AgeFotoStock treats photographers and avoid doing business with them.

Avoid AgeFotoStock: Unfair Payment and Arrogant Manager
AgeFotoStock is a website that I would recommend avoiding. If I could give it a negative rating, I definitely would. The reason for this is that AgeFotoStock does not pay its contributors, but instead keeps all the money for themselves. This is a major issue that needs to be addressed.
Furthermore, the manager of AgeFotoStock, Alfonso, is extremely arrogant and rude. He tries very hard to be the most unpleasant person on the internet, and unfortunately, he succeeds in this. It is very disappointing to see someone in a position of power treating others in such a disrespectful manner.
Overall, I would not recommend using AgeFotoStock. There are many other websites out there that treat their contributors with respect and pay them fairly. It is important to support these websites and avoid those that do not value their contributors.
AgeFotoStock: Great Pictures, But Beware of Rude Employees
AgeFotoStock is a website where you can find a lot of pictures for your projects. They have a lot of options and the pictures are of good quality. However, I had a bad experience with one of their employees named Alfonso Gutierez. He was very rude and disrespectful towards me. I don't think he knows how to talk to people properly. He made me feel uncomfortable and I didn't appreciate it. I don't think he should be working in customer service if he can't be professional.
Despite this bad experience, I still think AgeFotoStock is a good website to find pictures. They have a lot of options and the pictures are of good quality. I just hope that they can improve their customer service and make sure that their employees are respectful towards their customers.
Overall, I would recommend AgeFotoStock to anyone who needs pictures for their projects. Just be aware that you might encounter some rude employees like Alfonso Gutierez. But don't let that discourage you from using their website.

AgeFotoStock Review: Proceed with Caution - Low Sales, Unpaid Invoices, and Poor Communication
I've been working with AgeFotoStock for nearly a decade now. While I've had some success with selling my photos through their platform, I've noticed that sales figures have been pretty low overall. But that's not the worst of it - I've heard from other photographers that they haven't been paid their commission invoices for over a year, which is really concerning. And even when photos do sell, there have been instances where they're not accounted for properly.
To make matters worse, when photographers try to get in touch with the agency to get answers about these issues, they're often met with flimsy or cynical responses. It's really frustrating to see a company that was once so promising fall apart like this. I'm starting to worry that AgeFotoStock might not be around for much longer, especially given the way they're treating their contributors.
Overall, I'd say that if you're thinking about working with AgeFotoStock, you should proceed with caution. While there's still a chance you could make some money selling your photos through their platform, there are definitely some serious issues that need to be addressed.
Like many others also unpaid invoices for 3 years. Don Alfonso reacts as an old grumpy man or doesn't react at all. A shame for this company.
I am a photographer and have lots of photos on AGE. I have not being paid for any usage for years.
