delayed flight to berlin from gratz on 10.07.2015
Delayed flight Luftverkehrs (AB) 8553 on the 10th July 2015.The announced in Gratz delay was even bigger due to some mess on the airport and desinformation. I didn't catch the connection to Warsaw. I reached home nearly 12 hours later than I planned. I had to change my plans. Apart from it my luggage got lost somewhere and I had to wait for it till the end of the next day. I have chosen the plain instead of train to be ealier on time. In fact I was late on both sites. I am totally dissapointed with the mess that astonished me.
taxi bill
My name is Agnieszka Terlikowska-Brzósko. I was among people from the flight Luftverkehrs (AB) 8550 to Graz on 5.07.2015 Sunday evening that was cancelled. I was told to send you the taxi bill. I took the taxi only one way - to the hotel Berlin. It costed 20, 60 euro. Please find the photo in the attachement. On the next day a friend gave me a lift back to the airport. I had a problem to attache the file.
Thank you that we alive.
Best regards Agnieszka Terlikowska-Brzósko

a concerned consumer
I am a concerned consumer, passenger and human with a family
and I values my life. So I am sure you’ll understand my disguise from what I
witnessed by flight attendants from Nurnberg Germany. How this came about, it
was in the month January/February 2014 and I was invited to a house party with
some friends in the city of Nurnberg, where there was number of people at this
party, most of them I did not know personally. As the party went on I was told
there where flight attendants present, a number of young woman who worked for
the one or two of the airlines based in Nurnberg Germany. As the party went on,
drinks and drugs started to be passed around I noticed that a few of the flight
attendants both male and female where taking part in the consumption of the drugs.
At that moment it did not really hit me or really affect me until the next day.
As I am a government employ and don’t use drugs myself and really felt that
what people do in there off time is really their own business. Well the party went on very long and ended
about 4am I guess. When I left the party it must have been about that time when
as I said my good byes, I even said good night to one of the female attendants
who I meet and held a long conversation with during the party. I needed to
leave and get some rest myself because I had a flight at 10:20 that day myself
from Nurnberg to Dusseldorf with Air berlin for business. Everything was fine,
even with the hangover I had from the night before. But the reality hit me as I
approached the Air Berlin Bombardier Q400 entry door of flight AB6773 that
morning. I was shocked to have the same young flight attendant I noticed at
that party in fact was the same woman greeting passengers at the door of this
flight. As I was directed to my seat I was not sure if I should addresses this
now or wait till later or just relax and try to enjoy the flight. What could
happen she was not flying the plane, I thought, what could happen she would
only be giving the emergence instruction? I end up taking the lesser, and tried
to relax as the plane prepared to taxi and the emergence instruction was being
given by this Air Berlin flight attendants. It hit me what if there is an emergence?
What if? Something happen and I must trust this drug and alcohol impaired
person with my safety and life. As the plane took off I stopped and took a
moment and asked god for my protection. As someone who has in my pass the life
of others in my charge, as I was in the charge of this air berlin crew it was
not only my responsibility to make sure I was not effected by drug or alcohol
in the complication of my duty. It was my organizations responsibility to
ensure I was not the type of person who would compromise this trust. About the attendant I am not saying she did
not do her job well, she smiles, was polite in fact I felt she did well. But
for the fact that I saw her with my own eyes smoking an illegal substance and
knowing with the short time there was from when I saw her taking the substance
and then passing out flyer, coke and snacks she had to be still under the
influence of substance. Ok who should I blame now? Who’s at fault? Her or the
European company Air berlin? If this was an isolated incident I would say the
attendant herself. But when I think back she was not the only flight attendant
at the party and she was certainly not the only one partaken of the substance.
My meaning there where those from what I notice did not participate an example
the woman I was holding conversation with. But she would have had to be blind
or and I felt later ignoring what was going on around her. Then I am blaming
the company Air Berlin who is facilitating this environment of drug use. The
environment where someone charge with the safety of its companies customers safety
thinks its ok that they are able to conduct such behavior with colleges who with no fear of repercussion or being
reported. Air Berlin you have lost my business thank you!

Bought a ticket online for a friend. she went to the airport on time. Airberlin woulldn t let her on a one way fligth to Bangkok claiming ..without a visa they can not take her..I flew myself on the same day and had no troubles at all to check in. I was told to buy a return ticket which they refund and go on with the next flight..still they refused to take her again. so I had to buy a third ticket for the next day.
Never fly this airline again..only troubles!
theft
I booked a flight on the internet for air berlin. As I am english I used the english page. It asked for first name and last name and date of birth. The passenger is a spanish national who of course has 4 names. But the page only asked for first and last name. The flight was booked and I paid 97.12e. On arrival at alicante airport she was refused at check in as they said there is a name change. She was told to go to the ab info desk where she was forced to pay a 60e penalty fine for the change and 228.28e to rebook the seat for the flight! Even though she produced her spanish id to prove her last name and last name and date of birth, they said pay 288.28e or no flight. This all happened in sept 12 and I have constantly sent emails to berlin asking them to justify there action. They ignore me, no responce. There web page is at fault, and still is. This is theft and false money extraction, and they should be stopped.
Thanks, mr martin paul croft. Alicante

flying dogs one way
On the 27/04/12 I was trying to fly myself and two dogs to hanover on behalf of a friend who was posted I was flying return but the dogs were supposed fly to germany one way
When I got there I was told the dogs where booked from hanover to larnaca I was then told they would accept them if I paid another 250 euros when I said the dogs where already paid for and why cant we just change the direction.
I was then told because we booked online they could not touch it so I had to pay the additional fee but I could not afford it so I could not fly.
Because of this we had to put the dogs back in care which will cost even more money that I havent got.
How do I set about getting my money back for both me and the dogs.
Thanks you for reading this and please try to help if possible.

customer service
I travelled with Air Berlin during the volcanic ash crisis and while the flights themselves were absolutely fine the customer service on return has been absolutely appalling. They have been trained to lie about entitlements in the hope that passengers will give up on claiming accomodation expenses despite the German EU regulator (LBA) clearly stating they are responsible for this. To me I am appalled that Germany's second biggest airline is not willing to respect the EU passenger regulations.

I'm the tour leader of a Group of 18 people Flying Air Berlin on the 4th of August from Milan (12 people) and Rome (6 people) to Reykjavík.
This the schedule:
Roma Fiumicino - Tegel: Air Berlin 8705 04 AUG 14.05 - 16.15
Milano Linate - Tegel: Air Berlin 8739 04 AUG 19.20 - 20.55
Tegel - Reykjiavik Keflavik: Air Berlin 3546 04 AUG 22, 20 - 23.55
Reykjavík Keflavik - Air Berlin 3547 13 AUG 00.40 - 06.05
Tegel - Milano Linate: Air Berlin 8732 13 AUG 08.35 - 10.15
Tegel - Roma Fiumicino: Air Berlin 8704 13 AUG 09.25 - 11.30
On the 4th AUG the flight from Tegel to Reykjavík was cancelled, so the 6 people from Rome were rescheduled on a flight to Helsinki, and from there to Reykjavík. Their luggage were lost (5 pieces) and nobody in Berlin could say where they were (we spent more than 4 hours in the office asking for imformation). They got their luggage on the 8th AUG (4 pieces) and on the 10th AUG (1 piece).
The 12 people from Milan were rescheduled on the following day (5th AUG, same time), so they missed one day of their holiday.
On the 13th AUG (return) the 6 people flying to Milan were not allowed to get on the plane leaqving at 00.40 and were rescheduled on flight AB3549 boarding at 08.30 (also this flight was delayed); no explanation was given to passengers for the change; we know that seats were available on the plane. If, by any chance, Air Berlin had received information from our Italian tour operator "Avventure nel Mondo", we would like to know and receive copy of the written instructions sent by the tour operator itself.
The rescheduling caused considerable damage because 6 passengers had important business to do that could not be postponed.
Please, send information about what described above, because no one of Air Berlin staff I interviewed in at Berlin Tegel (3 people in 3 different offices of Air Berlin) was able to explain
Looking forward to your prompt reply

Very slow service. Need to update their printer.
air berlin over booked my flight. i was un able to leave NYC until 5 days later because everything else was booked. this was the first time this has ever happened to me with any airline.
Flying airberlin on business class to dubai and will return on the 13th of may. The worse business class experience I made. Airberlin business class equal to emirates or qatar airways economy. Not the right way to attract arab guest to our capital. Airberlin chairman needs a cultural training and invest in new machine. Regards. From a gold airberlin member.

We had business class seats for flight AB7248 from Berlin to JFK on 6/1/16. The plane came in 2.5 hours late so we missed our connection from JFK to Tampa, but it didn't have business class seats for anyone. We have requested a partial refund for the difference between coach and business class.
