Discrepancy in information and no one what’s to listen.
I am located in USA, coming From Germany. The country that requires you research in advance and be on top of legal matters before proceeding with your dos.
I took a flight with Airfrance from USA to Germany with 3 baggages, that we separated between two people. In the way back I took more my private things and wanted to bring it over to USA.
Not to overpay we got in contact with Delta, because we paid the tickets through t this company. They ensured us the price and the amount of baggage we can take by traveling as business class.
At the airport we were referred that the baggage will needs to be paid $300 on top of our usual price that was ensured.
We had no choice as to do it.
Immediately we reached out to Delta - delta confirmed the same information as before and advised to despute with Airfrance since they where who charged us.
The customer service would talk in circles but never to the point or try to help. We have confirmation in text form from Delta, that the charges should be $300 less.
And Airfrance didn’t care.
How come that we research in advanced and made the decision to bring the things based on information where provided, and yet everyone just disregards the afford and does what they wants how can we trust now the Airlines if they don’t hold their promise?
If we knew in advance we wouldn’t have taken the extra baggage for price of $300.
