So, I was on the hunt for an electric range and stumbled upon AJ Madison. I found the range I was looking for and decided to call to see when I could get it if I placed an order right away. I spoke with a salesperson named David Ettelson who promised me that I would receive the range within 5-7 business days. However, after waiting for 14 days, I decided to call and see what was going on. I waited on hold for 45 minutes to an hour before finally speaking with someone who didn't have any answers for me. I had to call back multiple times and finally spoke with a lady who said she would check with the tracking company and call or email me back. Unfortunately, she never did. This seemed to be the attitude of everyone I spoke with at AJ Madison - they were all trying to avoid giving me any answers.
The next day, I called David again and he still didn't have any answers for me. He transferred me to another line where I waited for over 20 minutes before finally speaking with someone named Brian. Like everyone else, he didn't have any answers for me and lied about the lady who was supposed to contact me with tracking information. He even hung up on me and transferred me back to David, who then went completely off the grid.
This has been a terrible experience with this company. Everyone I spoke with seemed to be trying to avoid giving me any answers. If you want to avoid this kind of thing, I highly recommend going to a local store and purchasing your appliances directly from them. Don't even think about buying anything from AJ Madison.

AJ Madison Review: Affordable Prices, Easy Delivery, and Great Service!
I was so dang nervous about ordering a new range from a store that I couldn't even visit, but let me tell you, my experience with AJ Madison was totally awesome! I saved a ton of cash - like, between $300 and $600 (depending on where you look) compared to other stores. And get this - there was no tax charged, so I saved even more! I was also super worried about delivery, but that ended up being the best part of the whole thing. I went for the "white glove" delivery option, which meant that someone would come and hook up my new range and take away the old one. AJ Madison shipped the range to the delivery company for free - I didn't have to pay a dime for that. And then the delivery company only charged me $50 to deliver, hook up, and haul away the old range. That's less than what AJ Madison charges just to drop off the range in a box without hooking it up! I'm seriously so stoked about this whole thing. I live in Columbus, Ohio, and the delivery company delivers all over Ohio, so that was perfect for me.
If you're thinking about ordering from AJ Madison, my advice is to call them up directly. Tell them where you are and that you want to find out about having an item shipped with delivery, hook-up, and haul away. They'll give you a quote, but in my experience, the quote they gave me was way higher than what I actually had to pay. The person on the phone took my order and didn't charge me for delivery because I went for the higher level of delivery. That level of shipping is paid directly to the delivery company, not to AJ Madison. So AJ Madison shipped the range to the delivery company for free, and I paid the delivery company directly. And get this - the total charge for delivery was only $50! That's less than what Sears and Home Depot were charging for delivery!
Overall, I'm super happy with my experience with AJ Madison. I was nervous about ordering online, but it ended up being totally worth it. I saved a ton of money and the delivery was super easy and affordable. If you're in the market for a new appliance, definitely check out AJ Madison!
Unacceptable Product and Lack of Customer Service: My Experience with AJ Madison
I recently made a purchase from AJ Madison, specifically an electric range, along with their New Leaf Service Pro 1 unit 5-year warranty and Smart Choice installation accessory. I was excited to receive my brand new electric range, but unfortunately, I did not receive what I was promised. The range that I received was severely damaged, and it was clear that it was not a new product.
When I unpacked the range from the box, I noticed that there was no shrink wrapping on the stove, unlike the refrigerator, microwave, and dishwasher that I also purchased from AJ Madison. The rubber seal that traps the heat from escaping from the range was broken, and there was an enormous scrape near the bolt in the middle of the range where the door would clasp on to so it can lock. The range was covered in smudges, and the bottom drawer was severely scraped as if it was a refurbished range. There was heavy discoloration in the bottom drawer along both edges and backing of the drawer. The upper right corner of the draw frame had a scrape, and the whole right side of the frame was warped. If you are facing the range, the right leg was broken, and the screws were both stripped.
I tried to contact the company multiple times to speak with someone about this issue, but I was on hold for over 2 hours each time. When I finally spoke with someone, I was advised that I had reached the incorrect department and was then connected over and disconnected on. I reached out to Megan Messing via email, and she advised me that my replacement had been approved. I was instructed to send the serial tag via UPS referencing my order number and ATT Megan. However, the business has yet to resolve my current issue due to my package not being received on their end with the serial tag. I have also sent the serial number via email per their request.
At this point, I am extremely dissatisfied with the service that I have received from AJ Madison. I am demanding a full refund for this range and requesting the company send someone to pick up this NON-NEW REFURBISHED RANGE from my residence. It is unacceptable to receive a damaged product, and the lack of customer service has only added to my frustration. I hope that the company can resolve this issue promptly and provide me with the service that I deserve as a paying customer.
AJ Madison Review: Nightmare Delivery, Installation, and Customer Service Experience
I ordered a refrigerator from AJ Madison before Thanksgiving and paid for installation and delivery to the second floor. However, it took three weeks for the delivery to arrive. When the delivery finally arrived, only two people showed up and they dropped the fridge off in the garage. They claimed that they needed four people to install it and told me to call the delivery company to find out when they would be able to come back. After a week of calling, the delivery company said that they were working with AJ Madison to figure out who would pay for the installation and added an extra $1200 to the cost.
I called AJ Madison to find out what was going on and it took them a week to get back to me. They told me that the delivery company was refusing to install the fridge because they were worried about damaging my home. AJ Madison offered me a return or a refund of the delivery charges plus extra cash back for me to find my own installer. It took me another two weeks to find a company to install the unit on the second floor.
When I went to install the handle sets, I realized that they were the wrong ones. I contacted AJ Madison to do an advanced replacement of the handles to get me what I ordered, but they refused. I had to return the handles first. I arranged to buy a second handle set and have it expedited, but it took four days to get the replacement handles. They were the wrong handle sets yet again. AJ Madison refused to advance replace them even though they had not shipped me the right handles twice. I had to order a third set of handles and return the second set.
Seven days later, I still had not received a refund for the returned set, and I had not received any tracking information for my third order. AJ Madison did not even know if it had been pulled and shipped. It is now January 18th, two months from the order, and what was supposed to be a two-week process has turned into a nightmare. I have had to jump through hoops to try and get my ordered parts to me and installed, and it has been no thanks to AJ Madison.
This was a $12,000 order of a GE Monogram Side by side to replace a 15-year-old failed GE Monogram. It should not have been this hard. I will never order from AJ Madison again.
Unethical Business Practices: My Terrible Experience with AJ Madison
I recently had a terrible experience with AJ Madison and would not recommend ordering from them. Their customer service is nonresponsive, and they have a restocking fee of 35% that seems to be intentionally profiting off of online customers who click on their incorrect links on Google. My experience with them was frustrating, and I documented all the wrong links and sent them to both Z-Line and AJ Madison for proof, but I received zero response back.
It is concerning that more than 50% of products on AJ Madison's site are incorrectly linked from Google to their site, promoting an incorrect customer purchase that works in their favor since they can charge that 35% restocking fee, which is all profit. This is morally and professionally wrong and is a horrible strategy to gain and profit.
I had to call Z-Line more than a dozen times to rectify this mistake, and they were unwilling to support immoral behavior and bad practices from their retailers. This affects Z-LINE's reputation and brand recognition, and it is an overall terrible practice.
In my case, I purchased an oven range using a wrong link that directed me to AJ Madison's site with the incorrect part number. I ordered the wrong range using the link, and now they will not take accountability. They never confirmed my order, and they are now trying to stick us with their 35% restocking fee policy for me to order the correct range. Z-Line has also confirmed that there should be no restocking fee for these wrong orders since the appliances are not even stocked at AJ Madison - they are stored at Z-Line. So why does AJ Madison continue to charge a restocking fee? They do this to profit off these wrong orders that are intentionally mis-linked and unfixable from AJ's Madison's site from Google.
Overall, I would not recommend AJ Madison due to their poor customer service and unethical business practices. It is important to be aware of these issues before making a purchase from them.
Nightmare Experience with AJ Madison: Terrible Service and Incompetence
I just wanted to share my experience with AJ Madison, and let me tell you, it was not a good one. I made the mistake of purchasing 5 appliances from their Tysons, VA location on July 8th, and it has been a nightmare ever since. I have sent 17 emails and made countless phone calls, but I have yet to receive any satisfactory response from them. And let me tell you, COVID has nothing to do with the terrible service I have received.
The salesman who "helped" me, Brian McLaughlin, did not even place my order until a couple of weeks ago, even though I had already been waiting patiently for 3 weeks with no communication from him or anyone at AJ Madison. And the reason for this delay? Apparently, there was some sort of credit authorization issue that the purchasing department never sent me. How convenient.
To make matters worse, I have been repeatedly lied to about the availability of the items I ordered. I was told that 3 of the items were in stock a couple of weeks ago, but they would not ship them until the other 2 items become available, which could take up to a month. And now, the items that were in stock are no longer available because they have been sold to other customers. How messed up is that?
What's even more frustrating is that two of my co-workers ordered the same exact model appliances from different retailers one week after I placed my order, and they have already received their items 2-3 weeks ago. Meanwhile, I am still waiting for AJ Madison to get their act together.
I have been very patient and understanding, given the current times we are in, but I believe that AJ Madison and probably many other companies out there are using COVID as an excuse for their lack of accountability and respect for their customers. It's clear that they have no regard for their customers' time and energy, and they are not willing to offer any solutions to the delays caused by their own incompetence.
In conclusion, I would not recommend AJ Madison to anyone. They have been a complete nightmare to deal with, and I regret ever giving them a shot. I hope that other people can learn from my mistake and avoid this company at all costs.

I had an experience with AJ Madison that I want to share with you. I have to say that I am disappointed and frustrated with the service I received. I have been a customer of AJ Madison in the past and had good experiences, which is why I decided to make another purchase from them.
I placed my order in July and had some questions about delivery and installation, so I contacted customer service. Jon called me back the next day and we went over my order on the phone. He convinced me to place the order at that time, even though I didn't have my computer or notes with me. I ordered five-year warranties on all appliances and installation on the stove and dishwasher.
When the appliances arrived, my contractor was there to receive them. The installer said that the stove didn't work because there was no gas service, even though there was. They also refused to install the dishwasher, saying that the flex tubes on the previous model were different. My contractor ended up installing the dishwasher, which was nearly identical to the previous one. I believe I was charged for both installations.
I spent months trying to get the proper stove and dealing with a dishwasher that wouldn't work. Eastern Marketing had to come and fix the stove, which was not properly installed. I went back and forth with AJ Madison about whose fault it was that I received a stainless steel stove instead of a white one. Jon stopped responding to my emails and calls, and Karen was the only one in contact with me.
In desperation, I called Bosch to come and look at the dishwasher. The service guy charged me almost $300 because there was no way to know how "the hose was damaged". All of this was going on while I spent days sending emails and calling with little response. Karen was moved to another department, and it took weeks again to get anyone to respond.
Now, in November, EM is going to put the white panels on the stove. The stove was delivered in July. I have several properties and am ready to purchase new appliances for one of them. Based on this treatment (and all I have recently read online), I am likely going to go elsewhere and add my experience to the myriad of poor reviews your company has had recently.
I hope that AJ Madison can do something about this situation. I am disappointed that I had to go through all of this and that it still hasn't been resolved.
Beware of SUMMIT BIM45 Ice Maker: Doesn't Store Ice, Only Makes It!
So, I recently purchased the SUMMIT BIM45 Ice maker from AJ Madison. I was really excited to get it because the description said it would produce up to 32 pounds of clear ice per day and store up to 25 pounds of that ice. However, after just three days, all the ice had melted and turned into a bin of water. I was really disappointed and thought something must be wrong with the machine.
Luckily, I had bought an extended warranty and had a 1-year manufacturer's warranty, so I wasn't too worried. I called Summit to ask about the issue, and they told me that the BIM45 Ice maker would indeed make 32 pounds of ice per day, but it wouldn't store the ice for any length of time. The moment the ice hits the bucket, it will begin to melt. Apparently, the machine doesn't have a thermostat, so it's only suitable for people who use the ice as fast as it makes it.
I was really confused and frustrated because nowhere in the description did it say that the ice would melt or that it had to be used right away. Even the owner's manual said that it would be fine to leave the machine alone for up to three weeks. If you're going to be away for more than three weeks, then you should probably shut it off. It does have a pump that will pump the excess water drain away to the sink, but it can't handle 25 gallons of water every three days.
I was really disappointed because if the ice melts, it's just making ice water, so what's the point of owning it? Summit told me to return it to AJ if I wasn't happy with it, so I called AJ and went through the brochure with them. They agreed that there was a problem with the advertising and said they wanted to talk to Summit before taking it back. However, two weeks later, I still hadn't heard anything from AJ, so I called them again. They told me that the time frame for returns was over, which was really frustrating because they had told me they wanted to talk to Summit before I sent it back.
I filed a claim with PayPal, which got someone's attention, and eventually, they decided to take it back. They agreed that there was a problem with the advertising, but they probably wouldn't be changing it. I had also ordered a beverage center along with the ice maker, and when they were delivered by YRC freight carriers, the boxes were crushed by a forklift or other freight pushing on them. When they unloaded them, the driver wanted to open the boxes to ensure there was no damage. Luckily, both items were okay and not damaged.
The freight carrier gathered up the two pallets, all boxes, and told me it was his job to dispose of them, and away he went. However, when AJ asked me to ship the ice maker back in the same box and pallet, I explained that I had no way to send it back since the shipper had taken all the boxes and pallet for the ice maker. They didn't care and told me I had seven days to get it back to them, or they would consider it closed.
PayPal did side with me and said I had 12 days to return it to them at my own expense for a full refund, but that wasn't possible. I talked to a shipper who wanted $190 to pack it back up, and another who wanted $250 to pack it back up. Then there would be the $150 shipping fee, which didn't cover my lost time from work to make all this happen. So, in the end, the ice maker ended up in the scrap yard where it belongs.
So, my advice to anyone thinking of buying the SUMMIT BIM45 Ice maker is to beware that it doesn't store ice, only makes it. Also, if you do decide to buy it from AJ Madison, make sure you save your packing and don't let the shipper haul it off because you will be sending it back. Spend a little more and buy a better quality product that does have a thermostat built-in so it keeps the ice cold.
AJ Madison Review: Poor Customer Service and Deceptive Sales Practices
I recently made a purchase from AJ Madison on 8/28/19 and received an order confirmation email the following day with a ship date of 8/29/19. However, I did not receive any tracking information and when I emailed AJ Madison on 9/8/19 for an update, I did not receive a response. I decided to call customer service on 9/11/19 and was told that my order was shipping from Friedrich that day. However, when I called Friedrich to verify, I was told that AJ Madison never placed my order. Despite being charged the full amount of $4,400.00 on 8/30/19, AJ Madison had not actually placed my order.
When I called AJ Madison back to inquire about this issue, a different representative told me that there was a problem with the PO, but it had been fixed and my order would ship that day. However, when I asked for clarification, I was placed on hold and told that my order would not ship that day. I asked to conference call Friedrich to verify the order, but was told that this was not possible. After a long back and forth exchange, Ms. Grace Kohl, the original salesperson who made the sale, refused to place a conference call to Friedrich with me on the line for order verification. She stated that the order was cancelled and that I would receive a refund.
Although AJ Madison refunded the full amount on 9/14/19, I still had a credit from a previous order that remained on my credit card in the amount of $1,796.00. This order was sold to me by Mr. Solomon Lewis and was actually shipped, but was unusable for my purposes as it was not a complete set. Despite asking for clarification before purchasing, Mr. Lewis lied and stated that the units were complete sets. I returned the shipment to AJ Madison and they received it on 9/18/19, but I had to call on 9/20/19 to inquire about the refund. Ms. Vanessa Lino stated that I should see the refund by Monday, 9/23 or Tuesday, 9/24. I finally received the $1,796.00 refund on 9/24/19.
Overall, I would not recommend AJ Madison as their customer service was unhelpful and deceptive. Their neglect and deception caused additional costs on my end and delayed my project. It is best to spend your money elsewhere.

Needed fridge ASAP as ours dies in power surge. All of the unit I wanted were on sale, but not in stock for weeks. AG Madison Jon Gold sales rep promised they were getting 2 arriving in 2 days, and one would be mine. Now a week later, they still don't have it, don't know when they're getting it. Now the July 4 sales are over, the unit is $700 more, but I can get it from Lowes faster than AJM, so they essentially cost me $700 and delay getting our fridge. Crooked company, don't trust them.

Terrible Customer Service and Dishonesty: My Experience with AJ Madison
I had a really bad experience with AJ Madison. I bought a fridge and freezer unit from them in March 2018. I thought I was being smart by getting the extra extended coverage, but now I realize it was a bad idea. When the items arrived, the fridge didn't work at all. I tried calling them three times and left messages, but nobody got back to me for five days. When I finally got through to a person, I was put on hold for 45 minutes and then gave up. I called again and finally got someone who said they would put together a service order and get back to me within 48 hours. But nobody ever did. This online shopping experience was the worst I've ever had. As a real estate developer, I placed an order for a few appliances, including refrigerators, stoves, a microwave, a stove hood, and a dishwasher. I gotta say, I had a pretty rough experience with AJ Madison. Honestly, if this is the kind of customer service you're looking for, then go ahead and deal with these people. But if you're like me and you think customer service should be number one, especially when it's their fault, then I'd say don't buy from them. Disappointing Experience with AJ Madison: Faulty LG Dryer and Poor Customer Service
I gotta say, AJ Madison really let me down. I spent a whopping $9,000 on a bunch of appliances, including an LG dryer, back in August. They finally shipped everything out to me in September, but since I was in the middle of remodeling my home, I didn't get around to installing the dryer until November. And boy, was that a mistake. As soon as I plugged it in, it started making this awful grinding noise and wouldn't even heat up. What a waste of money!
So, I called up AJ Madison's service department to reject the unit and get a new one shipped out to me. But you know what they said? They refused to do anything and told me to contact LG to make a warranty claim. What kind of customer service is that? I had to wait almost three weeks for an LG repair person to come out and inspect the dryer. And guess what? He found that the mounting bracket on the motor was broken and the heating element was damaged. He said it was probably damaged during shipping. So now I'm stuck waiting for parts to come in and hoping that I can get this thing up and running soon.
Honestly, I'm so disappointed in AJ Madison. I should have just gone to Home Depot or Lowes, where they actually stand behind the products they sell. I'll never do business with AJ Madison again.
Terrible Customer Service: My Disappointing Experience with AJ Madison
My experience with AJ Madison was not a pleasant one. I decided to purchase an Amana PTAC from them after speaking to one of their sales representatives on a Friday night. He directed me to place my order online over the weekend, which I did.
After several weeks of email exchanges, I finally received the unit after about a month. However, my electrician informed me that the unit would not work in any home. When I contacted AJ Madison, they were not helpful at all and gave me the "middle finger." I was extremely disappointed with their customer service.
I decided to contact the manufacturer, who informed me that AJ Madison should replace the unit free of cost. However, AJ Madison refused to do so and blamed me for the issue. The manufacturer was kind enough to assist me by giving their account to ship the unit back at a reduced rate of $134, which was much lower than the quote I received from the transporter, which was $1008.
Although the manufacturer was willing to replace the unit, AJ Madison wanted a restocking fee. In the end, they refunded me only $160, which was a mere fraction of the $1000 I had paid for the unit. I was extremely disappointed with their lack of customer service and their unwillingness to take responsibility for their mistake.
To make matters worse, when I contacted AJ Madison about the issue, they claimed that they had no record of my conversation with them. This was extremely frustrating and inconvenient for me.
In conclusion, I would not recommend AJ Madison to anyone. They are a terrible business entity that does not believe in putting their customers first. If you want to avoid disappointment and save your money, I suggest doing business with a company that values their customers.

AJ Madison Appliances is a company that I recently dealt with when I ordered a complete kitchen appliance package for a whopping $8500. This included installation, haul-a-way, and extended warranty fees. However, my experience with them was not as smooth as I had hoped. The delivery was two weeks late, and when the appliances finally arrived, the microwave was damaged and had to be returned. They were only able to hook up the fridge because they were not licensed for the stove or dishwasher. This meant that I had to wait another two weeks to have those installed, and they were supposed to have the new microwave with them to finish the job. Unfortunately, the new microwave was on backorder, and I was offered another model that was acceptable. The good news was that I was refunded the difference in price, and I was assured that all of the other fees (installation, etc.) would transfer over. However, this did not happen, and my microwave is still sitting in the garage.
I have tried to contact AJ Madison Appliances numerous times via email and phone, but I have gotten nowhere. The customer service phone is useless, and I have spent almost an hour on hold each time I call. When I finally speak to a person, they put me on hold on the pretext of getting the right person, and then I'm disconnected. This happened to me four times on August 31st alone. I was so frustrated that I made a complaint to the Better Business Bureau.
Overall, I would not recommend AJ Madison Appliances to anyone. The delivery was late, the appliances were damaged, and the customer service is terrible. It's a shame because I had high hopes for this company, but they have let me down. If you're looking for a reliable appliance company, I suggest you look elsewhere.
Buyer Beware: AJ Madison's Terrible Customer Service and Delivery Delays
I gotta say, AJ Madison (ajmadison.com) is not the kind of company you wanna mess with. I mean, if I had just done a little bit of research before ordering from them, I could have saved myself a ton of money and a whole lot of headaches. But no, I had to go and trust these guys, and now I'm paying the price.
Let me tell you, these AJ Madison bigwigs, Isaac Gross and Michael Gross, they don't give a hoot about customer service. And I'm not the only one who thinks so. Just take a look at all the negative reviews on this site, on the BBB, and anywhere else you see the AJ Madison name online. It's a real shame, because I had high hopes for this company.
So here's what happened. I ordered a fridge from AJ Madison on 10/7, and it wasn't delivered until 11/8. That's a whole month of waiting, and let me tell you, it was a month of hell. Here are just a few of the issues I had to deal with:
- Overcharged by salesperson Victor Sned for shipping and panel install
- Non-delivery by date promised (10/21)
- Office closure 10/21 and 10/22 for holiday with no outgoing message stating such
- Unanswered calls, voicemails, emails over several weeks in trying to track down appliance
- Company blatantly stated it does not place any kind of courtesy phone calls to customers in need
- Service Manager, Megan Messing, exchanged a week of emails with me that could have been solved by a 2 minute phone conversation
- Not one single apology, from anyone, at any point, over the whole month of dealing with AJ Madison
I mean, come on. Is this any way to treat a customer? I don't think so. And I'm not the only one who's had a bad experience with these guys. It's a real shame, because I was really hoping for a better outcome.
So listen up, folks. If you're thinking about ordering from AJ Madison, think again. Do your research, read the reviews, and make an informed decision. Don't make the same mistake I did.
Terrible Experience with AJ Madison: Poor Installation and Messy Service
I gotta tell ya, I had a pretty bad experience with AJ Madison. I mean, seriously, don't even bother buying from them. I should have gone to ABT or Best Buy or PC Richards or Lowe's or literally anywhere else. I bought an Electrolux washing machine and installation service from them, but they didn't bother to tell me that the installers wouldn't be able to handle all the features of the machine, like the reversible door. I mean, come on, washing machines come with a hinge on the left side, but in my tiny space, I need the hinge on the right side. So now I gotta shell out another $300 to hire a REAL installation company to reverse the door. It's just ridiculous.
But wait, there's more. I wish I could show you the photos of the mess they left in my apartment. They left dirt and garbage all over the floor, and the dirt was ground into the carpet so badly that I'm gonna have to get it professionally cleaned or replaced. And get this, they dumped the trash, old hoses, and dirty hardware in our (already full) clothing hamper. And to top it all off, they broke the drain pan under the washer!
Now, don't get me wrong, the Electrolux machine itself is great. But I just wish I had bought it from literally anywhere else. I mean, if you're gonna sell a machine with a reversible door on your website and offer professional installations, you gotta let people know that the installers can't handle all aspects of the installation. It's just common sense, ya know?
Disappointing Experience with AJ Madison: Unreliable Delivery & Poor Customer Service
I gotta say, I'm pretty disappointed with AJ Madison. I mean, I thought ordering a new AC for my tenant would be a simple process, but boy was I wrong. I decided to give AJ a shot because they promised a quick delivery time of 24-48hrs. But here I am, a week later, still with no AC. And the worst part? Their customer service department was absolutely no help. All they could tell me was that they're using a new delivery service and they have no idea when my order will arrive. They kept saying "sometime next week" but couldn't even give me a guarantee on a specific date.
Honestly, this whole process was unacceptable. I mean, I have five other ACs to replace and a few refrigerators, but there's no way I'm going to consider AJ Madison for those purchases. They clearly lack confidence when it comes to delivery. Upper management didn't seem to care about satisfying me, the customer, and they didn't even come up with a solution to get the AC to me sooner.
So, I was left with a tough decision. Do I cancel the order and wait for a full credit, or do I keep waiting and hope the AC arrives soon? My tenant's patience was wearing thin, and I didn't want to risk losing them as a renter. In the end, I decided to cancel the order and get a full credit. And you know what? I'm glad I did.
Instead, I ordered the same AC from PC Richards, and I received it in just 48hrs with no problems at all. They even kept me updated along the way, which was a nice touch. So, if you're looking for a reliable appliance retailer, I'd recommend PC Richards over AJ Madison any day.
Terrible Experience with AJ Madison: No Communication, No Organization, and Brutal Customer Service
I gotta say, I've had some pretty bad experiences with online appliance stores. I tried out AJ Madison and Appliance Connection, and let me tell you, they were both just terrible. No communication, no organization, and the customer service was just brutal.
I was trying to order a washer from AJ Madison, and after a whole week went by without hearing anything, I decided to check the order status. But when I looked at their site, my status wasn't even listed! I had no idea what was going on, so I submitted a ticket to try and get some answers. But guess what? No response from anyone. So I checked the status online again, and it had magically changed to 'Processing'. I waited another week, but still no one contacted me and the status was still the same. So I decided to call them up and see what was going on.
Well, let me tell you, the woman I spoke to was just the rudest, surliest person I've ever encountered. She told me that the item was on backorder for at least 4 weeks! And to make matters worse, it was a recently discontinued model, so I had no idea if it was actually in stock or not. When I asked her about it, she couldn't even give me a straight answer. So I had to make a tough decision - wait another month just to find out if they were full of it, or cancel the order altogether.
In the end, I decided to cancel the order. And you know what? I learned my lesson. I'm never dealing with any of these online appliance stores again. It might cost a few extra bucks to go through a local distributor, but at least they'll treat you with some basic dignity and respect.

The range has quite a few issues which I've listed below.
I would like to stress the AJ Madison Designer Support person Gitty Shalitzky has been very unhelpful and very rude regarding this issue.
On delivery the packaging was damaged and the cardboard box was barely covering the range.
Scratches over the three main SS surfaces round the cook top. All caused during delivery and installation.
One oven door handle is loose. And the right oven door flies open very easily when opening which isn’t right.
Both ovens make a lot of rattling noises.
All the family, including some guests, have noticed a strong smell of gas when the ovens are used mainly during preheating.
The smell of gas and noise from the right side oven are so bad and annoying we try not to use this oven already and it’s only been installed for a few weeks.
The delivery and installation were both very unprofessional and most probably caused all the damage above. Both crews did not have the right equipment to move such a heavy appliance so brut force was used which simply wasn't right for such an expensive appliance.
Installation company had huge issues getting the range off the pallet. This resulted in the range being banged around quite a bit.
The delivery and installation teams did not have a proper pallet jack or rolling lift sled, which caused both crews major issues due to the weight of the range.
We paid for a white glove delivery with 4 men. We had two men arrive and struggled to get the range out of the van then they dropped the range off the dolly with a very loud bang.
The delivery company AM Trucking forged my signature on delivery, after I complained about the range being dropped in front of me and noted some damage such as the loose oven door and scratches on the back panel.
As the range was dropped with such force on delivery, it explains a lot of the above issues, therefore the safest option for us is to have a replacement range.
Today we now noticed a new noise annoying noise coming from the left oven.
We have no idea what else could go wrong over the coming months so we will not be accepting this range.
The AJ Madison delivery and installation guidelines were not followed either.
Please see photo of parts which need to be replaced so far and there are more parts still on order. this range needs to almost be completely rebuilt due to the damage and Gitty Shalitzky has the cheek to inform me it was delivered in pristine condition.
My lawyer is being copied on all correspondence and will be used if necessary.

Wine Cooler delivered completely damaged
I placed an order with AJ Madison on June 29, 2021, and the wine cooler was finally delivered today, November 15th, 2021.
I opened the box as soon as it was delivered, and the product was completely damaged. I am attaching pics and a video. The doors are both broken, the 3 of the four hinges are torn off the cooler, and the top left corner is crushed to a point that the metal has ripples.
This cooler is not just unsightly, it is unusable.
Desired outcome: Return item for full refund
Installation of a thermador dishwasher - order 138815475
The delivery and installation of the Thermador Emerald 24 Inch Fully Integrated Built-In Dishwasher DWHD650WPR by AJ Madison was a complete and utter failure (note that the dishwasher is fine - it washes dishes clean and makes a little noise when running) - the delivery and installation was a failure - to the point that I had to remover the dishwasher from under the cabinet and completely reinstall the dishwasher following the installation directions provided by Thermador.
Here is a list of the issues with the delivery saga:
1) After ordering on Sunday 8/8/2021 (order 138815475) and double checking on 8/9/2021 that all parts needed for installation were included in the purchase, the first delivery team on 8/10/2021 said they could not install the dishwasher because the electrical junction box was not included in the delivery. I had been informed on 8/9/2021 that it was included. This delivery team said I had to have an electrician install a wall outlet before the dishwasher could be installed (our previous dishwasher was hard wired into the house wiring - that wiring could be used with a junction box that was not delivered). What were delivered were two power cords, one with an adapter for the dishwasher and one with open pigtails for hard connections to the dishwasher - nether of which could be used because a junction box was not included in the delivery.
2) We were able to have an electrician install a wall outlet in the dishwasher opening the next day 8/11/2021.
3) AJ Madison arranged for a delivery team to install the dishwasher the next day, 8/12/2021. Their installation work was as follows:
a. This team did successfully attach the water line to the dishwasher without it leaking - but they routed the water line away from the sink, instead of toward the sink as per the instructions, leaving lengths of the water line behind the dishwasher - so that the dishwasher could not be moved fully into the cabinet. In fact even with this, one of the delivery team had difficulty using a wrench to tighten the water connection - his partner had to help - with this "professional installation".
b. This team connected the power cord to the upper plug in the wall outlet - again not leaving enough space for the dishwasher under the cabinet. The lower plug fits into the opening in the back of the dishwasher.
c. This team routed the drain line away from the sink - again not leaving enough space for the dishwasher under the cabinet - and not leaving enough length of drain line for proper elevation under the sink - as per installation instructions. The drain line connection under the sink began leaking the next day, 8/13/2021.
d. The instructions require the drain line under the sink to be attached to the cabinet with a non-metallic anchor - This team used a copper clamp.
e. The dishwasher was not raised (using its elevation legs) so as to fit tightly against the underside of the countertop - as per installation instructions. There was roughly a one-inch opening (7/8 of an inch to be exact). Beside allowing more noise from operation, this omission made the instructions for connecting the cabinet panel to the dishwasher door unusable until the dishwasher was raised to the proper height under the countertop.
f. The dishwasher was not leveled left-to-right. - as per installation instructions.
g. The dishwasher was not leveled front-to-back - as per installation instructions.
4) By 8/14/2021 we were able to repeat the entire installation ourselves. The dishwasher works well and the cabinet panel on the dishwasher door is correctly installed.
In our case, the $200 installation charge for "professional installation" was, and is, a complete rip — off. Most dishwasher sales are replacement units. Customers want the old unit removed based on a $35 removal fee - which requires the $200 "professional installation".
When we contacted AJ Madison to request a refund of the installation fee, I was told that I needed to send in pictures of the problems. It turns out that the installers took pictures of their work when they were done - but these pictures are not available at this time. We asked to discuss this matter with a manager/supervisor and were told someone would contact us - that has not happened to date.
So, if you should make an appliance purchase from AJ Madison with "professional installation", remember to take a complete set of pictures of their work - and base those pictures on the installation instructions provided with the appliance.

When a Fisher & PayKel refrigerator was delivered the men did not know how to install it. Second pair came on 6/24 obviously had never installed this item before and didn't know where to mount the filter, sprayed water all over the cabinets and floor and then suggested taping it to the back of machine! Then they did not flush the filter and I had to throw the ice away. Hard to believe they would send untrained people to do the install TWICE! I do not have confidence that they did it correctly and will call a plumber to check it out. I wish to be reimbursed for this. I was unable to reach the company or customer service by phone, was on hold endlessly and then calls dropped.

Hi yesterday 11/30/20 I had a dishwasher delivered and installed from you. After the appointment I have no hot water in my home and the electricity on my stove is knocked out, rendering it unusable.
I have spent no less than 3 hours today on the phone with AJ Madison (on hold mostly) and the delivery company and no one is helping me. The delivery company says "the guy didn't touch anything" but also that he turned off my electric in the basement. AJ Madison rep hung up on me the last time I called, while I was on hold - after waiting 45 mins.
I need HELP. You knocked out my ability to cook hot food, bathe and wash dishes. It's hard to get a local person here to come out even if I am willing to pay. This is your mistake. I need attention NOW. I need someone to fix this.
Also, on an aside - the fact that the delivery people will not remove the trash created from the packaging of the new item from the home is lame.
Canceled order and no refund
On 04/23/2020 I ordered a vent fan from AJ Madison. They gave me tons of excuses for not delivering and finally cancelled the order. The amount I paid was $1951.67. I have tried to contact them and they leave you on hold for about 45 minutes and then disconnect you. This is FRAUD and thievery. How can they get away with this?
I have filed a dispute with my credit card Bank of America but they also say because I have paid the bill and it was so long ago that they (April of this year) that they cannot tell me anything.

Door was dented upon delivery and will not stay closed. I need another door or repair on this one. I can not use this dryer because the door will not stay closed. It was either damaged enroute or the delivery men did it accidentally. Washer was fine, but the dryer is unusable. I would appreciate it if you would correct this situation.
