So, I bought a shower screen from Appliancesdirect for a customer. I followed the instructions and fitted it, but then I noticed that some parts of it were too short, including the glass. It was a real bummer, let me tell you.
When I contacted Appliancesdirect, they offered me a refund of ?25 or a voucher of ?35 to keep it. I decided to keep it, but what's the point of keeping something that doesn't work? Then, they emailed me and offered to collect the screen, but it would cost me ?40. I mean, come on, that's just not fair. I'm pretty sure that if the goods aren't as described, they can't charge for delivery.
To make matters worse, part of the frame had been secured with grab adhesive along with screws, so I couldn't remove it. I had to buy something similar with the correct glass and frame, which they couldn't supply. It ended up costing me more than the unit itself, and it left my customers really annoyed. I tried calling them about this, but then I realized it was a premium rate number, so I emailed them instead.
Honestly, I don't think I'll be using Appliancesdirect again, and I suggest the same to others. It's just not worth the hassle.

The oven itself was in a terrible condition. There were pieces of metal hanging off the inside and screws not tightened up. To my dismay, it broke on the 2nd day of use. When I contacted Appliance Direct, they said they wouldn't do anything until I had personally contacted Hisense directly to raise an issue and get an uplift number. The phone number that Appliance Direct gave me was wrong, so I had to source this myself. It was a very frustrating experience.
The uplift number was finally supplied and a replacement arrived within 3 days, which I was happy with. However, when the replacement arrived, it was visually damaged all over. The paint was chipped off, there were dents, and the main oven door didn't close properly as the hinges didn't line up. I was very disappointed with the quality of the product.
To make matters worse, Appliancesdirect told me that I had to wait 4 days for the replacement to be collected and only once it was collected would the refund process start, which takes up to another 5 working days. So far, I've spent a fortune on takeaways. This is still ongoing and into the 3rd week without an oven.
Looking at the standard of the products, it's either Hisense or Appliancesdirect that are supplying 2nd's or the units are stored in bad conditions. I would advise anyone to avoid Appliancesdirect at all costs. It was a terrible experience, and I wouldn't want anyone else to go through what I did.

They didn't do that, so I'm going to order the same fridge from another company, even though they say it's not available. Then I'm going to take them to court for breaking our contract. I didn't know it at the time, but I ordered a sofa from them two years ago, and that was a disaster too. They took my money, didn't deliver the sofa, and sold it to someone else. So don't buy anything from this company!
