Not reimbursing expenses
Someone with Allstate hit my car. After months of runaround and a million phone calls and appointments I was able to get it repaired and get a rental. However I had to take off work so much to deal with all of the things that came with this situation. The accident wasn’t my fault. I wasn’t even there. and yet now Allstate will not reimburse me for the lost wages due to their customer’s negligence. They say it “isn’t in the policy”. I don’t have a policy with them. They are crooked and greedy and do not take care of people at all. This is not fair and not okay and their policy needs to change.
Desired outcome: I would like them to pay me what they owe me
Car insurance increases are unethical and discriminatory.
My vehicles are 20+ years old with liability coverages, no losses and no violations for the seven years I've been with Allstate (only one speeding violation on my record from nearly 10 years ago)! The only justification possibly given is a single late payment (rectified immediately) due to an automatic payment configuration error that their office should have been attending / servicing as my other policies were configured correctly. Regardless, 123% increase over 24 months and $267.xx in monthly premium for liability coverage is ludicrous!
Desired outcome: Underwriting audit / investigation.
Auto insurance
I am sick and tired of those stupid commercials with that idiot! This proves how little Allstate takes their customers seriously. I paid these thieving thugs thousands of dollars in premiums and when I needed them they provide me with no rental coverage or even road side assistance! I wind up paying them complete coverage rates for liability only coverage! I wind up having to pay more thousands for uber transporation while auto was in shop to get back and forth to 2 jobs. I wind up having to quit one. I have since cancel my policy with these crooked clowns and their stupid silly ads which raises my blood pressure every time their idiotic commercials come on!
Desired outcome: All the money I paid them in premiums plus what I had to pay to get back and forth to work where no buses run!
Square trade/ allstate television replacement
Purchased a TV at Costco with the Allstate warranty two months after the factory warranty ran out the TV went dead. I jumped through hoops for 2 1/2 weeks to prove to Allstate that I needed a repair gentleman came out and told me that it wasn’t my fault. The panel went bad. The TV needs to be replaced, Allstate told me that I had to wait for an email and accept their offer. They sent me an offer to replace the TV I took the offer. No mention in the offer was there of a different make and model the TV was delivered and it was a much cheaper version of my TV , not the same making model Allstate should replace my TV with a model of any any model, but comparable to the TV that I have thank you
Desired outcome: Send a comparable TV to my making model numberDonald Faria [protected]
Claims denial
05/26/23 involved in a car crash with allstate insured. The damages to my vehicle show that the insured went through a stop sign and hit me. Allstate is denying the claim and will not pay for my damages or hospital bills. Nor have I spoken to anyone directly other than when I called and reported the claim. I have contacted the company numerous times in the past few months with no response nor has any adjuster looked at my vehicle damages or requested my medical bills. This company has not spoken with me once in the past 2 months in regards to this crash. I have called emailed multiple times.
Desired outcome: my outcome in this if for the company to pay for my damages to my car and my medical bills as they should. Also, actually acknowledge that they should respond in a timely manner and take action.
auto policy
I paid 389.52 for a policy and it was taken from my account was given a temp policy number and ID cards. Now I am being told that they can't locate the policy and the policy number is not correct. This was almost 6 days ago and I am not covered according to Allstate and a ticket would need to be placed. A ticket was not placed from my bank account. No one has any answers to why the policy is not processed and that was all that can be done was a ticket. If I would of never tried to look for policy I would of NEVER known that my policy was not showing or that I am not covered. That is dangerous for the person driving on both ends what if I got into an accident and showed my Temp cards only to find out they are useless. I could honestly get into legal trouble because I don't have insurance when I thought I did. Someone is accountable for that!
Desired outcome: I want a policy or my money back immediately not 5-7 business days.
Insurance claim
my name is Jerald Ferguson my home had roof and interior damage on 6 /30/ 2023, caused by a 50-foot tree falling on my home. and it hasn't been repaired yet as of today 7/26/2023 the adjuster was very rude to me and she didn't make a payment yet and the amount she quoted was well below the cost of the damages in my time of need i was treated so bad that i wanted to give up Allstate insurance says you're in good hands with their company. I'm on disability and i have been trying to get my home repaired on my on what's the sense of paying for homeowners' insurance if you can't use it in your time of need it's like they are the enemy they only do this to certain customers.
Desired outcome: all damages repaired.
Unethical practices
We were bait and hook into signing up with Allstate Mile Wise. Alex Hovde told us how we could save considerable money over our last company we had two cars insured by and our monthly drive miles were very low. We were not told about $45.00 minimum then the company would take a considerable amount to get the balance back up. So other information we were not informed of was how the policy was structured that not only miles were counted but what type of vehicle was added to the deduction of the so called “Bank” . We terminated our policy and I complained to his boss and to someone in internal affairs, I was not acknowledged about my complaint against Alex Hovde our Allstate agent by who I was emailing of any unethical conduct . I received a threatening call from a representative from Allstate warning me to not harass any agents from the company or some mysterious actions would happen to me. I found it very disturbing that I would be threatened by an insurance company. I know I pushed the right buttons and the threat was my victory. I will copy and paste this to various websites that customers rate companies.

50% of Premium
I wish to pay my auto premium at will.
I have received notice that there are now two options to paying your auto premium which are 50% of premium for the first month and there after the balance over the stated months or auto pay.
I do not see the benefits of these programs for me. A large upfront dollar amount or an inflexible payment scheme.
I do not see the benefits. Please reinstate the payment per month with the flexibility.

Now that I need the help, I get talked to with whatever Words come up come out, then the phone is Hung up in my face.

Home owners insurance
My parents house flooded, due to septic pump failing. Put in a claim and got denied. This is the 2nd time ever they put in a claim and both times denied. It’s disgusting they have you pay and never except a claim. So now out of their pockets they have to pay for new floors most likely a new bathroom. They have been with them over 30 years. Good bye all state
Desired outcome: Would like everything paid for.
Disrespectful and Unresponsive Claims Agent at Allstate's Endurance Subsidiary
I gotta say, I'm not too happy with Allstate. I went with their subsidiary, Endurance, because it was cheaper, but boy do I regret it now. I've never had an accident before, but I hit something and my axle broke. When I filed a claim, I was interrogated from the get-go in a really disrespectful way. They were asking if the axle was already faulty or if it was my fault. I mean, come on, it's a 2018 Nissan Altima. I bought it for my son when he graduated high school, but he passed away 14 months ago, so I took over his car. It was his pride and joy, and now it's mine.
The claims agent they assigned me has been really rude and disrespectful every time we communicate. She often doesn't even call me back. I've left three messages and two emails with no response. Caliber Collision called me yesterday to tell me that she's refusing to approve the repairs and ignoring their communication requests. I only got a hold of her by calling the main line, and she was not happy. She said she won't approve until she knows what happened and who's liable. I mean, I already told her what happened. And never mind that they towed the car to Caliber Collision in the first place, and this has been going on since May 10. It's now June 7th. I drove to Caliber and called her from there, but she didn't pick up (no surprise), so we called the main line again, and she picked up and was pissed. Haha.
The manager at Caliber told her that the damage was from hitting something and it was fresh. She said it's still going to take five business days for them to review before they can approve. What a liar! I just filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and left negative reviews on all platforms. I'm looking for every avenue to complain. I called her supervisor and left a message, but no return call yet.
During all of my grief and suffering, this agent has caused me more undo stress. I've been without a car since May 10. I've lost wages when I couldn't get to work, and the stress is causing medical issues. So, take my advice and look somewhere else. They don't care about you; they only care about your money.
All State's Poor Handling of Car Accident Claim - Taking My Business Elsewhere
I've been with All State for a long time, and I have both my home and auto policies with them. Unfortunately, I had a pretty bad car accident back in November. The other driver's insurance, Geico, took care of everything during the first week, from my injury settlement to getting someone to estimate the damages. They decided that the damage was total, but the other driver's policy only covered up to $15,000. They agreed to pay that amount, and All State was supposed to take care of the rest, which was around $2-3k.
However, it was really hard to get in touch with my adjuster, and every time I called, I got a different answer. At first, they told me that they would make an uninsured motorist claim to get the remaining $2500 for me, and that someone would come to tow the car away. But after a few weeks and several phone calls, they told me that they had to take another look at the vehicle, even though Geico had already agreed to pay 90% of the value. It was really frustrating, and I felt like I was stuck in limbo.
Eventually, All State sent me something that I had to sign from the repair shop, stating if I agreed for repairs to be done and that it would be roughly 5-6k to fix. But I wasn't going to sign anything without knowing what was going on. I called the repair shop and talked to a gentleman who let me know he knew the car was totaled the second it came in, and sent it back. I was really confused and upset that I hadn't heard anything until then.
A few days ago, I was contacted by another adjuster who attached a bogus value report with no merit. I don't understand what's going on, and it's making me really anxious. I just want a straight answer, but it seems like All State is just spinning me around in circles. It's really frustrating, and I don't feel like I'm in good hands anymore.
After this experience, I'm definitely taking my business elsewhere. Geico took care of me in less than a week, while All State has had me running around for almost three months. And based on all the other poor reviews I've seen, it seems like I'm not the only one who's had a bad experience with them. I would definitely recommend taking your business elsewhere.
Allstate's Dirty Practice: Negligence and Unfair Charges
I recently signed up with Allstate on February 28th, 2022. They quoted me a price and I paid the full 6-month policy. They told me that they would send me two documents by email that I would have to sign and date to complete my policy. On March 22nd, I downloaded the PDF, signed, dated, and sent it back by email. However, three months later, they sent me an email saying that they were going to withdraw $198 from my bank account because they never received the forms.
I immediately called them and told them that I had already sent both documents. They said that they never received them and asked me to go to the nearest Allstate office and sign them in person. They assured me that the charge would be waived. I did as they instructed, but then they sent me another email saying that they were going to withdraw $82 from my bank account. I called them again and asked why I was being billed. They said that the charge was prorated from $198 to $82 because it took me three months to sign the documents.
I told them that I had proof that I sent the documents on March 22nd. The representative then asked me to which email I sent it. I said the same email that I received. She then told me that it had to be sent to Allstate customer service email. I told her that I was never given that specific information, not once. They failed to give me that info, and now they are billing me for their mistake.
I spoke to customer service, and they directed me to a sales rep from my state. She apologized and said that she couldn't help me because it wasn't her fault. Because of their negligence, I would be charged $82, and that was that. I told her that I was warned about this company before I signed up, but I did because I believed it was a good company and they were a few dollars less than my previous insurer. I felt good until I became a victim of their dirty practice.
I told her that I was going to post a review on their dirty practice, and she said okay and to have a nice day. I was out of luck. I should have stayed where I was at. Now I am paying more for their crooked underhand schemes, and no one will help me, not even because I have proof that I sent the email. It's just plain wrong and dirty for a few lousy dollars they would be willing to lose a new customer that pays his policy in full that has no tickets, no DWI, no accidents, and a clean driving record.
In conclusion, I would not recommend Allstate to anyone. Their customer service is terrible, and they do not take responsibility for their mistakes. They are only interested in making money and not in providing good service to their customers. I regret signing up with them, and I will be looking for a new insurance company as soon as possible.
Terrible Customer Service: My Experience with Allstate Insurance
Allstate has been a pretty bad company to deal with. They don't seem to care about their customers and they neglect your claims and emails until you email them a thousand times. They tell you what you want to hear but when it comes down to it, they don't actually do what they say they will. I am currently dealing with someone named Eric Lienberger and he has been really difficult to work with. He declined escalating my problem when I asked to speak to someone higher until I brought up the names of the CEOs. So far, my experience with Allstate has been nothing but negligent, passive aggressive, condescending, retaliative, and they have had no communication or follow through until I had to call every 2 seconds in order to get someone on the line.
I never post bad reviews, but this is probably my first. As Allstate claims "you are in good hands," I say otherwise and that you would be in better hands by insuring your car with the Dollar Tree (if they did car insurance). I have tried my best to work with this company, to come to an agreement, to figure this out together. But I have come to the realization that they do not care about "you," they only care about the amount of money they are bringing in.
If this puts anything into perspective, I have been in contact with Allstate for about 6-7 months and have been contacted maybe 2 times without me having to contact them. Save yourself time, money, headaches, and find somewhere who actually cares about their customers. I wasn't going to post a review until I ran into the issue with Eric Lienberger and how rude he was during the two days I've been in contact with him.
Due to their employee who quit and they neglected my claim for weeks until I reached out again about not receiving follow through, I am still currently in the process of trying to work things out with Allstate. But by the looks of it, I'll be lucky to even receive a call or email back. Maybe I will share the amount of times I've emailed, called, and the emails I've received back to show you the lack of communication with Allstate as I have screenshots and proof of it all.
Allstate: Not in Good Hands - My Unfair Experience with an Accident and Insurance Rates
I gotta say, I had a pretty rough experience with Allstate back in May of 2019. I was just driving along in my paid off Toyota Limited Avalon, minding my own business, when out of nowhere this teenager comes barreling into me with his truck. Can you believe it? And to make matters worse, the police report that was filed afterwards was totally unfair to me. They made it seem like I was the one who caused the accident, even though I was in the turn lane and the teenager was in the outer lane. It was just ridiculous.
So I called up Allstate to see what they could do for me, and you know what they said? They said that I was at fault and that my policy was going to go up by over $100 a month. Can you believe that? And get this, they told me that if I wanted my policy to go back to its previous cost, I had to get the police report changed. Like, what kind of nonsense is that? So now a dirty cop can just write whatever they want about you and it can affect your insurance rates? That's just not right.
Luckily, I was able to find a video of the accident that was taken by a liquor store nearby. I showed it to Allstate and the police, and eventually they agreed to amend the report. But even then, they still said that I was partially at fault because I didn't turn at the exact corner that they wanted me to. Like, come on. The video clearly showed that the teenager was the one who was driving recklessly and caused the accident.
I was so frustrated with Allstate at this point that I had to get a lawyer involved. And because of Covid, it's taken us this long to finally get some justice for what happened. The teenager even changed his story and admitted that he had faulty equipment and didn't see me coming. And you know what Allstate did? They refunded me $250 of my $500 deductible. Like, that's supposed to make up for everything?
It just makes me so mad that Allstate is willing to let inept or dirty cops affect their paying customers like this. They're more concerned with making money off of us than actually listening to our side of the story. And now I'm stuck with a $1200 increase to my policy for the next three years because of this stupid accident. It's just not fair.
So let me tell you, folks. You are NOT in good hands with Allstate. They don't care about you or your story. They only care about making money.
Terrible Experience with Allstate Atlanta Metro Agency: Cancellation Request Ignored & Charged for Renewal
I am so mad at Allstate right now! I've been with them for a whole year, but on November 21, 2014 at 1:57PM EST, I called up James L. Paulk's Atlanta Metro Agency to tell them I wanted to cancel my account and make sure that automatic renewal was turned off. They said they took care of it, but I had a feeling something was off, so I called back on December 1, 2014, the day of renewal. They told me that not only was automatic renewal still on, but they had no record of my cancellation request. They didn't even have a record of me calling them in the first place! So, I faxed them a letter on December 1, 2014, telling them to cancel my auto and home policies. They said they got it and processed it, and that nothing had been taken out of my account. But the next day, I got an email saying I'd been charged for renewal! I called them up again on December 2, 2014, and they said they'd investigate and reimburse me if anything had been charged. They also said they got my fax about cancelling. But then my bank sent me a letter saying I'd been charged and overdrawn on an account I don't even use anymore! I called Allstate Atlanta Metro Agency again on December 8, 2014, and they said they never got my fax and my account wasn't cancelled. But I have a receipt that says they got it! Every time I call, they ask me who I talked to last, so now I have to keep track of all the customer service reps I talk to. I even talked to the manager, Mercy Clement, and she asked me to email her my cancellation. I did, and she said she'd email me back to confirm it.
I don't know about other Allstate offices, but something fishy is going on at the Atlanta Metro Agency. I can't believe they're really that bad at their jobs. I've had a terrible experience with them, and I wouldn't recommend James L. Paulk's Atlanta Metro Agency to anyone.
AllState Insurance Review: Terrible Customer Service and Accusations of Lying
I have been a loyal customer of AllState for a whopping 15 years. Throughout all those years, I never had to file a claim until recently. One day, I discovered a large amount of water in my kitchen that was coming from my refrigerator. Upon further inspection, I found that there was damage to my hardwood floors. I immediately contacted AllState to file a claim and was assigned a representative to handle my case. However, things did not go as smoothly as I had hoped.
The representative assigned to my claim dismissed me without even conducting an inspection. After insisting, she finally told me to get my own person to assess the damage because they didn't have anyone available in Birmingham, AL. I ended up hiring a contractor to come and take a look. He determined that there was long-term damage due to a leak in the refrigerator line, but the burst of the line caused an acute amount of water to come out and create damage to the floors. I even got a second opinion from another company, and they came to the same conclusion. So, I informed the original representative about the two expert opinions, but she didn't seem to care.
AllState then sent their own experts to come and take a look. However, they didn't even bother to look closely at both parts of the damage area. They only saw the long-term damage and said it wasn't covered by the policy because it was not recent damage. I tried to explain that there was damage not from the leak but from the complete breakage of the line, which was confirmed by two expert opinions. But they didn't even write about this, and in a follow-up conversation, they told me they didn't believe it was a breakage of the line. I was shocked that they called me a liar and refused to review my claim.
Every time I tried to ask for someone else to handle my case, they would tell me they knew my case, and everyone at AllState works as a team. I felt like I had no way out. I had paid them around $54,000 in 15 years, and they treated me horribly. They even had the nerve to tell me they thought I was making it up, despite having two expert opinions in writing. I spent hours on the phone with them, but the volume of calls was too high, and when I finally got through to a manager, it was just an answering machine.
I had the worst experience ever with AllState. For them to call me a liar was the lowest of all this. I am a physician who is well-respected in my community, and when I told the person who came to assess the damage to my floor, he just laughed. I would strongly advise against using AllState Insurance for anything. They work as a team against their customers, and it's just not worth it.
Misleading Allstate DriveWise Program: My Experience with Dishonest Agent
I was with Allstate for a long time, but I switched to Geico. My old agent at Allstate kept calling me when my Geico policy was about to expire. He told me about Allstate's DriveWise program. He called me at least four or five times to discuss it. He told me that the rate was $61 for 500 miles, and when I reached 500 miles, I would be billed an additional $61. I don't drive much, so I agreed.
When I accepted, I was told it's $64, not $61. But it's just a couple of dollars, so it's not a big deal. However, when I got to 170 miles, I received a text stating that my card would be debited if I drove another 23 miles. So I called my agent.
He informed me that because I had told him I drive about 5,000 miles a year, he adjusted my mileage down to 420 miles per billing cycle. Even so, 170 miles is still far off from 420 miles, so why am I being debited if I've only driven approximately 220 miles so far?
His explanation was that there's a daily cost and average cost per mile charge. The $64 (not $61) is the base rate, and they deducted $1 per day from the $64. There's also a charge per mile, which is also deducted from the $64, which eats up the $64 quickly.
I reminded him that we had many lengthy conversations about the cost being $61 for 500 miles, and why didn't he explain the additional fees on any of the phone calls prior to signing me up.
I was greatly offended when he advised me that he doesn't like to confuse his customers with the second and third layer of their DriveWise program. Really?! How dishonest is that?! Because that totally benefits him and not me. So I won't be saving anything by switching to DriveWise if I drive more than 220 miles per cycle. I could likely be paying more for insurance.
What a jerk for thinking his customers aren't intellectual enough to understand the program, so he doesn't bother to give the full disclosure of actual costs and deductions.
When he quoted my homeowners insurance, he also had me way over-insured in a particular area based on my condominium master policy. He tried to explain it away as "that's just rates." It wasn't until I asked him to go over it line by line that I found the particular over-insured area and had him adjust it correctly, which saved me over $100.
Seems like disclosure is difficult for this agent, and I've lost all respect for him. When I have time, I'll be switching insurance, all of it. And I'll be telling anyone who will listen that my agent believes his customers are too dumb to understand their program, and 420 miles per cycle is really 220.
I'm super angry about my agent's dishonest presentation of the program and his assumption that I couldn't possibly understand the program if he had bothered with the details. Bye Ramone, bye Allstate.
