I think they prey on people with bait and switch
I think they prey on people with bait and switch. They offer 0% and low lease rates, but you don't qualify. I have excellent credit, money down, no trade-in, and bought a new car from them 4 years ago. Be very careful doing business with these wolves in sheep's clothing.
Worst post purchase experience ever!
Worst post purchase experience ever! Buying my new car from Aloha Kia was a typical car buying experience, but once I drove off the lot, it's been terrible. They don't return my emails and actually recommend me to take my vehicle to a different dealership for service.
I am really unhappy with Aloha KIA
I am really unhappy with Aloha KIA. This is the second time I have brought my car in for service and it's been really late. I needed an oil change and some maintenance done. Last time, my AC wasn't working properly and when they asked if it was blowing cold air, I said yes, but only on the highest setting. The service people told me not to fix it if it was blowing cold air, which wasn't very smart advice. Since then, it has gotten even worse. Now, there's no cold air at all when the car is idle. I can hear all the fluids circulating and when I drive, vape comes through the vents and the windows fog up with condensation when the car is at rest. I asked the service manager twice to address this issue, but they had the nerve to say they would charge me $160 for a diagnostic test. It's really frustrating that dealerships can get away with this. I'm writing this review to make a statement and hopefully prevent this from happening again in the future!
Aloha Kia was nice at first
Aloha Kia was nice at first. The sales team was good! But then, not even a month later, my car broke down and they said it's my fault for off-roading. They won't fix it. I just moved to Kauai after finishing my masters in New York. I spent most of my money moving here to be a special ED teacher at Kapa'a elementary. Now, my new car is broken and I can't drive it until I pay $2000 to fix it. The General manager, Jeff, did the usual car dealership thing and accused me of off-roading even though I just bought the car. I called the owner of Kia, but they still want me to pay $2000 to fix my new car. I never thought buying a new car would turn into a nightmare.
On 4/20, when I went for my regular service at Aloha KIA, they told me that my Kia Soul needed a new battery
On 4/20, when I went for my regular service at Aloha KIA, they told me that my Kia Soul needed a new battery. However, they didn't have any in stock at that time and said they would give me a call when it arrived. Unfortunately, they never called me, so I had to reach out to them on 5/10. Eventually, I took my car in on 5/12. To my surprise, when I went to pick up my car, they informed me that my battery was actually still in good condition and didn't need to be replaced. I couldn't help but wonder why we had wasted both my time and Kia's time. Additionally, the service advisor falsely claimed that I had complained about a weak battery, which was completely untrue. I find it really disappointing that a business would make such a false accusation. Luckily, I have the service documents to prove that Aloha Kia Kauai lied.
I actually own two Kias and generally like their cars, but I will never purchase another one or recommend this dealership to anyone. The way they treated me during the service was dishonest and unfriendly. I believe they are inconsiderate and disrespectful, especially towards female customers. I highly doubt they would treat male customers in the same manner.

The service aint great and the subsiderary Hyundai cant be that much better
The service aint great and the subsiderary Hyundai cant be that much better. I will never buy or go to them for anything EVER again.
I ordered parts on 01/07, but they haven't delivered them yet
I ordered parts on 01/07, but they haven't delivered them yet. They also haven't returned my calls four times when they said they would try to find them. I went to the store three times, but got the same outcome. They rejected my request for compensation twice.
They took a $2000 payment from me and didn't put it towards the car's cost
They took a $2000 payment from me and didn't put it towards the car's cost. My car loan is the whole amount, $20842.36. They didn't use the payment for the loan, they just took it. The vehicle's list price was slightly below $18k, with an additional $1k for shipping, $850 for taxes, and dealer fees. This adds up to the loan. THEY TOOK THE DOWNPAYMENT AND DIDN'T USE IT TO PAY FOR THE CAR.

On July 30th, I bought a KIA car from KIA of Maui
On July 30th, I bought a KIA car from KIA of Maui. They said they had to ship it in and it would be $1,000.00. They told me it usually takes a week, but they say two weeks so people don't get disappointed. But now, I'm finding out it's actually going to take three weeks. If I had known, I wouldn't have bought the car. I feel like they purposely lied about the delivery date.
I gave back my car on 7/30 and I paid too much for the lease
I gave back my car on 7/30 and I paid too much for the lease. The manager, ***, said he would fix it the next week so I can get back the over $350 I paid. I waited a month before contacting the Maui place to check, but they didn't respond. I left a voicemail for ***, and I also left a message with other workers just to know when I'll get a check. One of the workers said, "we know it's hard to reach him." Now when I call the Maui place, my number goes straight to his voicemail without talking to anyone. All I wanted was some info, but this place is not professional. I know people are busy and won't respond the same day, but I've been trying since the end of August to talk to someone about getting my money back from July. *** doesn't just represent himself, but also *** and right now it doesn't look good.
I got a 2017 Kia *** and there's been a recall for 3 months now
I got a 2017 Kia *** and there's been a recall for 3 months now. They said it's not safe to drive because the engine might catch fire. So, I had to leave it in my driveway for months. I asked for a free rental car, but they said no many times. The service here is terrible and unprofessional, and they even use bad language. I wouldn't recommend anyone to come here for service or to buy a car. But since we're on a small island, we don't have many options, and this dealership takes advantage of that. It's not just one person, it's been happening for months and we've talked to at least 10 different people. They should close down this whole dealership and hire new employees with better character and morals!
I bought a 2019 Pathfinder on 8/15, and Philip H*** helped me with the financing
I bought a 2019 Pathfinder on 8/15, and Philip H helped me with the financing. He said he would pay off the car loan in 20 days, but it hasn't been paid off yet. I asked him about it, and he said he has 30-40 days to pay it off, which he took the money on 8/15. He wanted me to have a late payment and hurt my credit, but I didn't want that to happen. So, in September, I made a payment myself, and he only paid off $4500 of the car. I overpaid and asked him for a refund. In October, he said he would pay me, but I haven't received any calls from him. When I went back to the office on 11/2 to see him, he said my title isn't clear because I paid off the car, and I have to wait for about a month for the title to clear. I don't know what he'll say next month. I'm still waiting for my refund overpayment check. I called the sales manager, but he hasn't picked up or returned my call. It's really bad.
I recently got my vehicle serviced at Aloha KIA, and now I'm experiencing some heavy engine vibration when the car is idle
I recently got my vehicle serviced at Aloha KIA, and now I'm experiencing some heavy engine vibration when the car is idle. They installed a new air conditioner compressor, which seems to be putting too much stress on the engine compared to the previous one. I've been a loyal customer of Aloha KIA for five years, always getting my regular services done there, and I've never had any issues with engine vibration until now. I reached out to the owner of Aloha KIA, who responded quickly and had their head of service for dealerships contact me. They arranged a few repairs to try and fix the problem, but unfortunately, my car was out of commission for several days and the adjustments they made didn't solve anything. In email conversations with the service manager and the owner, they're telling me that this is something I should expect with a car that has higher mileage. I strongly disagree because my car never had any vibrations before they installed the new part. I've explained this repeatedly to everyone at Aloha KIA, but now I'm stuck with a problem that they (or the part they installed) caused.
On 9/14, I bought a used car from Aloha KIA
On 9/14, I bought a used car from Aloha KIA. The credit check came back good and GSM Arsenio assured me that the car had no problems and had passed their service inspection. However, the day after the purchase, I noticed that the Air Conditioner wasn't staying cold. I expressed my concern to sales agent Chase D. He suggested that I buy an over-the-counter remedy with my own money to potentially fix the issue. Despite following his advice and making the purchase, the problem remained unresolved. He mentioned that if it didn't work, he could run a diagnostic on the car. Unfortunately, that never happened. I complained to GSM Arsenio, who responded by saying, "I don't have a crystal ball, I can't predict if the car will break down once you leave the lot." However, since the car supposedly had "no issues and passed the service inspection," there shouldn't have been any problems. Now, they're telling me that I have to pay for the repairs out of my own pocket. I paid $8600 in cash for the vehicle, and now they expect me to spend even more to fix a problem that shouldn't have existed in the first place. I took it to a mechanic shop, and they confirmed that the AC compressor is not functioning properly.
I bought a 2014 Chevrolet Cruze from Aloha Kia Kauai, but they had to ship it from Aloha Kia Oahu
I bought a 2014 Chevrolet Cruze from Aloha Kia Kauai, but they had to ship it from Aloha Kia Oahu. It took like 7 weeks for it to arrive, and when it finally did, it was missing a cap for the power steering fluid. This shows that the Kauai location didn't inspect the car when it arrived. When I got in the car to leave after signing everything, it was parked in a way that I didn't need to use reverse. But the next day, when I tried to put it in reverse, I couldn't. It's a manual transmission, and the fact that reverse was so hard to get into and that someone from the dealership parked it like that makes me think that someone from Aloha Kia Kauai let me drive off knowing the car had this problem. I talked to the general manager, and he said they would take care of it and that their top mechanic would make sure there are no more issues. Then I got a call from someone in their service department saying that a mechanic from Oahu had worked on the car, but now reverse doesn't work at all, which means they installed the part wrong. When I heard that, I lost all trust in the car's quality and emailed the general manager asking for a refund and to cancel the loan because this situation has caused me so much stress and anxiety. But I haven't gotten any response. I sent another email, still no response. I don't know what to do! Can someone please help me?
I bought a used Kia from Aloha KIA in June 2022
I bought a used Kia from Aloha KIA in June 2022. I did the purchase over the phone with a sales representative who sent me photos and videos. He said the car was in great condition with no damages. He helped me ship the car to Kauai through Young. However, he didn't give me any tracking paperwork, which was strange. When the car arrived in Kauai, I noticed severe damage, like a crack on the dashboard, a dent on the front bumper, and other undisclosed damages that made the car unsafe. I informed the sales representative, but he ignored my concerns for weeks. Finally, he replied, but only because he was supposed to send me my overdue registration. The dealership took over two months to transfer the registration to my name, so I couldn't get a safety check done. When I looked back at the photos and videos, I realized the sales representative intentionally avoided showing the damaged areas. I requested the paperwork from Young, and it confirmed that the car had damage when it was accepted for shipping. With this evidence, I was able to contact the dealership manager, who promised to resolve the issue. He suggested I work with another sales representative, who was supposedly one of the best in the dealership. After weeks of working with her, we agreed that I would return the purchased car to the dealership in Kauai and buy a new car from them in Maui. I was approved for a new car loan, but the sales representative took her time processing the paperwork. I kept texting her, saying I was ready to put a deposit, and she finally called me back to say they couldn't take my car back at the original value and sell me a new one without a $5,000 loss because it had depreciated.
I bought a new 2020 Kia Sportage from Aloha KIA
I bought a new 2020 Kia Sportage from Aloha KIA. I noticed some scratches and they said they would take care of them. On 12/10, I brought it in and they tried to polish out the scratch on the passenger door, but I could still see it. On 12/31, I brought the car back to touch up the scratch. On 1/2, I asked for an update. Their paint person wasn't confident enough to fix the scratch, so they're taking it to a professional paint shop. On 1/8, I received a text saying my car was ready for pick up. When I looked at the car, it looked worse than before. There were paint drippings behind the door handle and the scratch had been touched up and sanded, but not polished. There was also a new dent and numerous other imperfections on the driver side front fender. Clearly, this was done by an amateur. They promised to resolve this quickly. On 1/15, I asked for an update. On 1/16, I received a text saying the car was still in the paint shop and should be ready by 1/20, Wednesday. On 1/20, I asked for a status and they said the door needed to be repainted. I told them I needed items from the car and we agreed that on 1/21 at 10:30am, they would give me a status. If it wasn't ready, I would have to go to the paint shop to pick up the items. On 1/21, at 1:00pm, I didn't receive the promised status, so I contacted the paint shop myself. The door had been prepped but not painted, same with the fender. It should be done by 1/22. I informed Kia that I had contacted the paint shop myself since they forgot to update me at 10:30am. On 1/22, I still didn't receive a status from Kia, so I contacted the paint shop again. The car had been painted but not finished. It should be done by Monday, 1/25. This has been the worst experience I've ever had with a new car. The workmanship and communication have been terrible. I've constantly had to reach out for updates on my car, and when they agree to give me a status at a specific time and don't contact me, that's the worst customer service. They've had my vehicle for almost a month, longer than I've been driving it.
