Towing
Date Started 03/23 4:45 P.M. did not finish tow until 03/23 11:30 A.M.
Called for tow at 4:45 P.M. 03/23, was told the driver would be there by 5:47. About 20 minutes later the towing company called and said that they couldn't do it and that they were calling AAA to arrange for another company to come and tow it. I was calling AAA when one of the tow companies battery service trucks showed up and took a bunch of pictures and said to hang up with you AAA that they could tow it. Then he said it would be 3 hours and I was very upset. I called AAA back and was put on hold for 20 minutes while the associate was "looking it up" I hung up as I was getting a call from the Tow company. They now where telling me that they couldn't do the tow until the next day. So I was now left deserted 130 miles away. I suggested to them that they could pick it up now and put it in their yard to deliver the tow the next day. They agreed and showed up within 15 minutes to pick it up. Ther are a bunch more details but you must get my frustration at the wasted 2 hours plus the aggravation etc. They did deliver the car today and I paid the $300 for the 30 miles over my 100 miles but I think there should be some accommodation for all the grief I was put through..
Desired outcome: Some kind of accommodation for all the grief I was put through. Although I'm listed as a 4 year member I am actually over a 25 year member, I missed a renewal notice and had to re-up.
Roadside assistance
Look at all these negative reviews. What's worse is look how much of them they took the time to resolve.
AAA Roadside assistance is a joke. Absolute waste of time and you can NOT depend on them. I will be canceling ASAP.
First of all their "estimated time of arrival" is a lie.
First time was suppose to be 720 Sat night. They never showed never called. It was then moved to 900am Sunday morning. Once again no show no call. It is now 8:30 Monday morning and I STILLL HAVENT GOTTEN HELP.
This will be going to the BBB as they clearly don't see the issue.
aaa insurance
Was with them for years and to quote my agent "you have the cadillac of policies". October 2021 filed a claim on my travel trailer and was denied without an actual aaa agent or adjuster showing up to take a look. Have filed complaint with Missouri Attorney Generals office and will see where that goes. Will file with bbb if not resolved soon. What a joke they have become and it is such a shame. Your Family deserves much better than aaa. Be wise and cancel them today.
Desired outcome: Just for aaa to do the right thing and pay for damage.
They canceled us after two claims.
Breach of contract battery service and over milage towing fee
On March 11, 2022, between 8am and 11am. Tripple A was dispatched for the second time this week was not able to provide me with a replacement of a bad (dead) battery under the warranty, battery was only a year old that was sold to me. Had to tow to my vehicle mechanic for replacement. I am being charged for over milage of 19 miles.
I am told that the warranty will end at the time of replacement. AAA battery service is in breach of warranty contract. I now have down time of 2 days and have to buy a new battery, pay the mechanic and have been charged for over mileage
This is outrageous the breach of warranty has made me a victim of inconvenience, spending resources (money) I do not have, and I have become a victim of poor customer service due to this breach by triple AAA
Please reimburse me for the over milage with regarding the tow, battery cost and mechanic's fees. I will file additional complaints with BBB of California, California Department of Consumer Affairs, Ripp Off Report, Complaints Board, and local media complaints blog and social media.
In addition, we will NOT renew our membership.
Poor customer service and a horrible polices with regards to AAA customers.
Desired outcome: AAA to reimburse me for towing over mileage cost, Battery cost and mechanic's fees.
Complaint about Tow service received
I had my vehicle towed by AAA on Feb 22,2022, The third party vendor they sent out united Towing, United towing damaged my front bumper and driver side wheel. When I reached out to AAA to let them know what happened AAA said that I need to reach out to the towing company and it would be 7 days before, someone would reach out to me. As of today no one has reached out to me from AAA and I have called everyday since the incident occurred. I did finally get a hold of someone from United towing and they sent out a Driver supervisor... WHY IDONT KNOW to take a look at the damage. He told me that he didn't believe the driver did the damage that he saw... and that it had to be some additional issues prior to the driver towing. Which is totally not true. He said that have a body shop that could probably fix the issues, but why would i take it to the place that was the cause for the damage? I explained That i would be taking it to a repair shop of my choice and his response was well it need to be a reasonable estimate... Mind you I do Drive a Mercedes.. so reasonable is kind of not a option it is what it it is. I am not looking for a large payout I just want the damage to be repaired and my concerns to be heard which i feel they have not been. I should have to call every day to try to speak with someone nor should I have to listen to someone tell me that the damage was not their responsibility. I take pride in my things and work hard to have the things i have. I need someone to listen and take care of this issue ASAP>
Desired outcome: I would like my damages to be taken care the correct way of I would like my complaint to be take serious. I would like an apology, I would like to be contacted by cooperate and I would like this to be handled ASAP
Towing
AAA tow service is a joke, and it’s happened 2 times this month. January 11 we needed a tow and they newer showed, we waited over 3 hours and after several call, the rep advised that the driver never accepted our call, she would have to dispatch the call again and we would have to wait again also. We cancel and took our chances an drove our damaged car home anyway.
Today, February 23, 2022, we called for a tow at 4 o’clock, it’s after 10 pm no call, no show again. Both times, the App says that we will be there soon, and they give a time of arrival too. The same arrival time has been the same since 7:23 pm. It’s now 10:16 as I write this complaint. I know that AAA will not respond. They only lie to customers to have them to keep waiting. I would not recommend them to my dog if I had one. This is not the level of service that I am used to and we deserve better.
Desired outcome: Pay my storage of the vehicle for an additional day. I don’t want anything from AAA as I am sure that service will remain the same. I pray that others wise up and reevaluate where they spend their money.
Service
Friday 02/11/22 Called Triple AAA between 1:10-1:20 am. Told me be there at 2:10 am
Never came. l left my car keys inside and lock the door, My car eas running since 5 pm with keys inside. Called many times and nobody called me back. Request help for someone else at 6:30 am no lock smith, no AAA last time called AAA told me have nobody for help, and need to wait after 6:30 am. My car was running for 14 hours. I'm very upset with AAA and service very bad. No able to resolve my problem

I try to call by phone but every time put me on hold and call failed and long waiting time.
I am not sure if I want to renew my member ship on june 2022
Miscommunication and misinformed
My adjuster Karl and his supervisor Meg Kinney seems to be the busiest associates of AAA. I was misinformed regarding the services for my claim, I was scammed and had to pay for the Service I cared less for and later they denied my initial claim that I thought would be repaired- my whole reason to even start a claim.
Only if they would help the ones in need instead of ripping them off.
Desired outcome: If they would have cared and heard their customer more than their own benefit.
Tow.
I called AAA on 02/11/21 at 5:30 in the evening. I was told it would be 150 minutes for a wrecker to arrive. I waited 3 hours and no wrecker. I called and was on hold another 20 minutes. I was told someone would call me back within 20 minutes. After 30 minutes I called back again and was on hold another 30 minutes. I was then told another hour for the wrecker. The wrecker finally showed up to pickup the vehicel about 10:30. When the wrecker driver showed up at my house with the vehicle he informed me he came on shift at 8:00 and he received the call to pickup my vehicle well into his shift. AAA is a joke. My wife called two weeks ago for a dead battery and they told her 2 hours to get there. She gave up and got it started herself. My Mom called last week and they told her 2-3 hours. It took that long to get her car towed.
Auto damage
11/10/21 I locked my purse and keys in the trunk of my car. I called AAA and they sent a man to my house. He spent about 40 minutes trying to unlock the drivers side door. The tool he used had no rubber or plastic at the end. I kept telling him he was scratching my car. My friend finally told him to stop he was only doing more damage. I called my insurance company and they sent someone out and he used the passenger side door to unlock it because of all the visible damage to the outside of the car. He unlocked the door in less than 5 mins with no damage to the car. He assessed the damage to the inside of the car. The estimate to get the car repaired is $4,519.83 because he did major damage to the door panel. I called AAA and they said they would take care of it. It is now over 3 months since the damage and all AAA has done is tell me on 01/12/22 that a check was cut and in the mail. I received nothing. Then I was told that on 01/28/22 that they sent a check over night. It is now 02/11/22 and I have received nothing from them. The drivers side window leaks from the damage that was done and the window rattles with a lot of air noise. They have continued lying to me about what they are doing. I am probably going to have to sue them to be reimbursed. Plus I will need a rental car because it will take a few days for the car to be repair.I don't think I have ever dealt with such an incompetent, unconcerned company in my life.
Desired outcome: I want reimbursement for the damage and the cost of a rental car and then I want nothing else to do with this company.
Homeowners insurance
Insurance was cancelled while insured was sick with COVID-19 and was unable to open or pay his bills. Insured is an 88-year-old Marine Corp veteran who has been a long time AAA customer and continues to have his cars insured with AAA. The AAA office refuses to reinstate his insurance (The expiration grace period was only two days ago) and wants to write a...

I was contacted by a AAA service provider to ask if the service I received from a vendor was satisfactory. I was informed that I would be receiving an invitation to participate in a survey on the AAA service persons performance. I remember having my employer sending these out and how they used anything less than a perfect score to deny bonuses and otherwise punish employees that were working as hard as they could every day. Sure enough, after a little digging, I found out that AAA considers anything less than a 9 to be a zero. Don't insult me further by trying to deny this. That is completely inappropriate. Why even bother to have a survey rating from one to ten if only 9's and 10's are acceptable? Clearly this survey is only interested in polishing the image of the company and/or senior executives at the expense of the employee.
Desired outcome: Conduct an honest survey that actually seeks to improve customer service. I give AAA a well-deserved zero for taking this approach.
Roadside service
Unbelievably bad service. AAA initially told me it might take up to 45 minutes for roadside service to show. After an hour, I called again and waited on hold forever to finally get a human who told me she could not give me ANY ETA - only that "AAA dispatch" had contacted "someone," and that "someone" would be there when they got there. I would just have to wait to hear from the towing company directly once they were under way. What is the point of having AAA then? In the end, someone finally showed up more than TWO HOURS LATER. So I just sat on my thumbs with NO further information for MORE THAN TWO HOURS. According to the person I spoke with at AAA the next day, the towing company had been called and they just didn't bother showing up. Not that AAA knew or cared. WHY DO I PAY FOR FIVE OF MY FAMILY MEMBERS TO HAVE AAA? We have cell phones and can find a towing company ourselves, even from the highway. I NEED TO RETHINK THIS PURCHASE.
Flat tire (nail) service requested Providence, RI just after 3pm on 1/27/2022. I called AAA Member Relations (Amy) at roughly 11am 1/28/2022.
Desired outcome: Reasonable assurance that systems have changed so that customer actually has access to someone who cares, can provide up-to-date and accurate information, and will follow-through on customer needs, particularly for roadside service.
Roadside Assistance
My daughter was stranded with a flat tire in an area that she let AAA know she felt in danger. The AAA representative continued to give vague answers and never would give an ETA or the name of the towing company coming to pick her up. After 4 hours I finally had to drive over 80 miles to get her. When she asked to speak to a supervisor (after 4:30 minutes of no help) she was placed on hold for over 1 hour!
WHAT A SCAM!
Desired outcome: Membership reimbursement
Towing
My Husband was walking the dog and when He came back to the truck it did not start.
We called AAA for Wisconsin area and they said they would have someone there by 4pm which was 2 hours,
We have waited 3.5 hours and they haven't even schedule someone to come and tow our truck. I have called back 3 times and they say it is with the dispatchers. It is not snowing there is no accidents in the area the police said this is unacceptable I have been a member since 2011.
Why do I pay for AAA if they do not come when called
Desired outcome: I feel like AAA owes me more than an apology I should get a free year for terrible service
Tow Services
Had a problem with my vehicle resulting in a need for a tow to a dealer. 1/20/2022 at 2:30PM.
Requested service from AAA at 2:42PM in Livermore, Ca.
Rep said It would take 120min. Asked if I would need to ride with the driver to the dealer, I said yes.
He asked if I had a mask for covid and a picture ID. I said yes I do.
He said the order was placed and I would receive phone updates and texts from the driver as they got closer.
I never received any texts. I did receive a call at 3:21PM saying I still had 89min.
I called at 4:48 for an update on arrival of the truck and was told they couldn't find a truck which could take a passenger. I asked why wasn't that made clear originally so that I could make other arrangements and this rep John said that the original rep made a mistake and was being counseled for it.
I said but I'm now over 2hrs into this event and needed a better time indicator for a truck.
He said he was putting in the request and I would be getting a message from the dispatch shortly.
At 6:05PM I again called requesting an update.
I was given a new time of 7:55PM.
Totally unsatisfactory.
As a member since 1986, I've had very few requests for service from AAA.
I received not one text on status today as in the past.
It's like the system is broke compared to years past.
I had to leave my vehicle overnight in the failure location, no longer having time to wait.
Please have customer quality control look into the scheduling reps in the Livermore, Ca to update their processes.
This is in a popular urban location and I've never waited more than 1.5hrs for any service from AAA.
Phone times are recorded.

AAA travel website directing unsuspecting users/members to Priceline
I made flight reservations with AAA in the fall of 2021. I opted for travel insurance due to pandemic and possible change of wedding plans. I and was billed $89 for the travel insurance on the online check-out.
I called about my itinerary recently and was told 1) I don't have insurance; and 2) my reservations were through Priceline (not AAA).
I feel I was scammed.
I called AAA initially to have one of their travel agents help me with flight reservations. (I have been a AAA member for about 25 years and used their travel agents in the past to help plan trips.) The person/travel agent in the Albany, NY Delaware Avenue office I spoke with could have cared less about helping me with flight reservations. She was abrupt and told me to go to AAA website and make reservations. So I did believing my membership status and AAA's reputation and expertise would make the process fine.
I did not know I was really booking my travel with Priceline. I have no proof that I paid for the travel insurance (no itemized bill).
I have no recourse now. I can't change my reservations or get a credit or a refund.
My advice: don't use AAA for your travel and definitely don't use Priceline.
Towing
As a licensed auto repair shop I find it a bit disconcerting that you would attempt to steer a long time customer of mine to another shop in another city. I have been a loyal customer of yours for 38 years #[protected]. I think that it should be none of your concern where a caller chooses to have their vehicle repaired. I only found out about this because my customer was upset enough to tell me. This happened on 1/17/2021 at 8 am in Battle Creek MI
Desired outcome: Stop this unfair practice
Repair to my 2015 buick encore - repair order #4597796- 1/10/2022- 2:31pm
Took my buick 2015 encore to the aaa car care, based on having a check engine light, requested a diagnostic to be done to determine issue and any other unforeseen problem. I was shown the issue by a technician on paper that there were 3 urgent items that needed immediate attention, I gave the consent to have those repaired. The cost was $861.39, for...

I have been a member of AAA for 33 years, and currently a PLUS member. On sunday November 28th 2021, my family and I were driving back from Chicago to ohio and got stranded on the side of Ohio turnpike (80/90), at mile marker 10, around 1:30pm. (4 hours from home) Called AAA and was told they'd get someone to us asap, but to call 911 in the meantime, even though it wasn't an emergency. There were 4 of us and the rep told us they couldn't transport all of us and could we have someone pick us up. We could not as we were 4 hours from home. Rep said she'll alert her supervisor. Gave them our location coordinates, and member ID [protected], and my name Lehna Quereau. My boyfriend Andrew Bowers ended up giving his ID # of [protected] during the 2nd call so they could communicate with him, and confirmed she saw where we were as she said "yes, I see you are on Ohio turnpike 90 heading east at mile marker 10" We call 911 they tell us since it's not an emergency they will transfer us to local sheriff's dept. Local sherriff's dept says AAA won't pick us up on the Ohio turnpike, they'll dispatch a local tow truck driver. AAA NEVER told us they couldn't tow us off ohio turnpike. Once the local driver tows us to their garage, we call for status from AAA. They pull up my boyfriends and my information and tell us they had us in Michigan! NEVER did we tell them we were in Michigan! Between 4p & 7pm Andrew Bowers spoke with a AAA rep close to 10 times and each time was told "we we will get someone to you asap and driver will call 15-20 mins out". Each time we called for a status, we got the run around-several times telling us again they had us in Michigan, even after giving them a new location of a hotel, which is where the local tow truck driver told us we could hunker in while waiting. This was at 4pm. When both the sheriff dept and local tow truck driver tells us AAA won't pick anyone up on Ohio turnpike, and they are useless "our here", is sad, don't you think. And AAA says nothing and i'm PAYING FOR 100 MILES, is ridiculous! At one point in time Andrew Bowers was ON HOLD WITH AAA for 50 mins. During that time, a tow truck driver dispatched from AAA called US HIMSELF to alert he is on his way - about 45 mins out. First time in 6 hours we got that call. When the AAA rep got back on the phone after 50 mins she apologized saying she couldn't find the phone #. Not sure why she didn't keep coming back periodically, to talk to us to let us know what was going on, like a good customer service rep. Every representative was very unprofessional from minute 1. Had we known from the first phone call that they can't pick us up from the Ohio turnpike, we would have felt like we were treated respectfully with the truth, instead of having incorrect info provided throughout, including which is clearly a blanket statement. A friend finally got 3 out of the 4 of us. She drove 4 hours and managed to get to our location BEFORE AAA! This is uncalled for. Better communication should be needed. We were aware that anything outside of 100 miles, we would have to pay for, but nowhere does it say towing depends on location. I'm sure AAA records calls and you'll be able to listen to each and every call we made to AAA in those 6 hours. Based on the customer service we were provided, I am very close to cancelling my membership.
Desired outcome: Full Refund or free upgrade for a year.
