service - saint john, nb mcallister mall
I am a frequent shopper at AE for both of my children but I had a horrible experience at the Saint John, NB store on the weekend. The young lady working at the cash when I was making a purchase of over $300, simply closed up her cash and walked away. There is some bad history between this clerk (Alicia) and my daughter but I am a "customer" and this is unacceptable. There was another customer in the line behind me and we both had to move over to the line on the other side of the counter where the clerk had to apologize to customers for their wait. As I passed by the the clerk who left the cash, I commented "Gee thanks for your help!", she very arrogantly replied "You're welcome". I realize this is a teenager trying to make a few dollars while she's in school and don't expect her to loose her job, however I do expect an apology and for her to treat me like any other customer when I am in the store.
pricing, bad customer service
I used to be a loyal American eagle shopper until two years ago. I bought some sweatshirts online that were to big. I was told I could return them to the store in Vancouver wa. I get there and was told because I bought them with PayPal through your website I could not. Never shopped there again. My sister in Michigan called and asked me if I could pick up some pants at the Vancouver store because their store was sold out. I went there today where they had them held in her name they charged me 29.99 instead of the listed held price of 19.99, even though I had a picture add 19.99 being held at Vancouver mall. Why is your customer service so bad?
jeans purchased from a store but returned to the neverlands
Good Afternoon,
I purchased a pair of jeans from the store in lakeside but due to the distance I could not return them easily. I called customer service that advised me that they had put notes on system and would happily accept my return and either replace the jeans or refund me the costs. Further more they would refund me the delivery cost, which I thought was fantastic and the gentleman on the phone was so very polite and helpful. Months passed and still no jeans or further correspondence although the package I sent even had the receipts inside and a return address. I was very disappointed but called again, I spoke with a lady this time who said that she would look into this and email me but I heard nothing. Since then I have changed company so my old company email address Kandice.[protected]@keytraining.co.uk does not exist and I have moved property (Claydon where I use to live) so if the lady did respond with a solution I apologize in advance. I would like to receive as mentioned to the lady on the phone just my jeans back now as at least I would not be at a loss because I feel like months have past and money was spent on the jeans and on postage that I am at hugely at a loss all because I love America Eagle jeans. Is there anything you can do here as a good will gesture or will I forever not return as an American Eagle shopper due to the experience I have had and the money I have lost.
Hi do you mean lakeside where I purchased the jeans or Neverlands where I sent them?. It has been so long since I heard anything anything could of possibly happened. I am pretty sure it is still open as my friend went to Lakeside not long ago and purchased a pair of jeans for her and her husband.
I thought this place closed or was that another one of them teen stores?
customer service
Today, unfortunately when I visited yr Saudi Arabia branch in Riyadh Grenada mall, I had a bad experience with yr cashier employee Mr. Abdlellah, For a miss understanding he threatened that he is going to fight me with hands if we were out of the shop.
And so, I dropped out the item and headed out of the shop in that time, he insulted me by saying : "what a shameless person "then when I returned back to him and said what r u saying u are the one, he came out of his desk trying to fight me .
Then I asked to right a complaint they give me a plain A4 paper from the printer saying that is the procedure for the complaint, just write what you have and that is unprofessional handling for my problem.
I kindly insist you to check the CCTV camera and double check with Mr. Unais Fareed "branch supervisor "
I ask for the maximum punishment and I believe that you will do the necessary for restoring my honor.
Regards,
Ebrahim hamdy
Service/Jeans
Hi I was shopping at the outlet store in Brighton Mi this past Sunday when I walked in I asked for help finding a pair of jeans that I had recently bought from there and at the time I did not know she was the manager was very rude and unprofessional said I'm not sure you can look first then I will help. I then asked for a dressing room and she was rude about it and said give her a moment which took her a while to get. Lastly, I asked her if a pair of jeans I had came in long online if they could order them she signed and said hold on. At that time I went up to the register and check out. I explained to the young guy that I called before hand and asked since they were having 30% off and they young lady said they would adjust the price since they are doing buy 1 get 1 50% off. At the time I said I also had a coupon for my birthday in my email. He radio the manager Lauren and she said they would not adjust the price and since I couldn't find the email she would not honer it. Then I asked for the young man to order the pair of jeans in long and I'd buy the other pair when I got home I realized the security tag was still on the jeans as well as they were the ones I ordered in long. I was very unhappy with my visit there . I am a manager myself and never would I act that way towards someone in my store even if I was to have a bad day. I have never had that bad experience at american eagle but every time I go into that one in Brighton I get bad customer service.
ripoff
I bought jeans for my daughter for school that are covered up holes, that are new. Our school requires us to have skin covered up on the legs, therefore that is why I bought these jeans because they had holes but were covered up. Within a week of having them the jeans had ripped and pulled apart creating a hole that was not covered up. She can no longer where these jeans now because they don't meet the requirements, which they did when I bought them. The pour quality made the rip and now I wasted my money.
aeo denim x super hi-rise jegging style 2983
I JUST ordered these jeans. They are comfortable and are soft and fit me great- not too tight at all. At the end of the first night I wore them, I discovered a whole in the crotch area. A huge hole. This was definitely not of my doing because my night consisted of walking and again, these jeans are not tight on me. This was definitely a stitching problem. I would really really love to be sent another pair because these are my favorite jeans but I have only been able to wear them once. Please help me
unethical behavior
I was visiting the American Eagle location at the Burlington Mall in Massachusetts on August 29th around 8 p.m. and experienced extremely rude behavior by one the the employees. After ringing up the jeans I was buying I decided to remove one as they were not included in the "buy one get one 50% off". After asking the cashier to do this she proceeded to stare at me, roll her eyes, slam the jeans down on the counter and did not say another word to me throughout the rest of the sale. I am a loyal customer to AE and I am extremely disappointed in the behavior I witnessed by this employee tonight. The cashier id number that is on my receipt is SG9588.
unethical behaviour
As I was leaving the AEO at faneuil hall in Boston, MA (8/28/17 at 1PM) there were three young girls working there standing by the front door. As I walked out of the store they said "bye have a nice day." I did not respond because I was on the phone. As I walked out a little further I heard one of the say "bye [censor]." I walked back in to confront them and all three looked embarrassed but denied saying anything. It was very obvious it was one of them and they should most definitely should be spoken to. A few young girls working there were extremely unhelp, rude and obnoxious.
promotion
The other branch in kingdom mall got a promotion where I bought jeans for me and 1 for my wife. On the other branch khurais... I was surprised when they told me that their promotion is only for male and not including the female. Can it be like the other branch got different promotion that the others? I thought it should all be the same cross the board.
a salesperson
I was in the store at the Quintard Mall in Oxford Alabama beginning to check out and the sales girl ask me a question I did not understand her because I am hard of hearing I asked the sales girl again at the checkout what she said she says never mind in a very hateful way I repeated myself and said honey I'm sorry I did not understand what you said. It was Sunday August 13 2017. I continue to tell her thank you. The point I'm trying to make is there needs to be a older person in the store because the young girl was very rude to myself and my granddaughter . She made me feel very uncomfortable in front of the other customers that was in the store.
Thanks for your time

sales clerk and cc
Today we went in to purchase jeans for our daughter in Tulsa and the girl checking us out asked us if we wanted to sign up for the rewards card. So we did and we used my info then she asked if we wanted to save 20% today by opening a AE credit card so we decided to go ahead but we had to use my husbands info because I didn't have my license with me. So she put the info in and come to find out the information from the rewards card was what she used also and then had my husband put in his SS number so of course the info didn't match because it printed off the denial in my name! She used my name and bday and my husbands license info and his social so there is no way it would approve when she used both of our info to apply! So now I don't think we can reapply because of this. And we had planned on shopping online to find our daughter more jeans and this was going to be our go to store for jeans for her because she is only 5'0" and their short size actually isn't super long on her but now after this I really have no desire to go back. Should be trained better when they are messing with peoples credit and financial and personal information!
online services
Twice now once last month and today I have tried to do a little online shopping in the clearance department. Both times I have filled up my cart with at least 10 items. It lets me go all the way to checkout and then tells me most all of my items are no longer in stock. UPDATE your website or don't have a clearance option available. To go through the process of picking out clothes for my two boys getting knocked of the site at times just to have to start over. Then getting to the end to just have nothing is quite aggravating and makes me want to unsubscribe from everything American eagle.
rewards
I was purchasing jeans, and before I purchased them, I asked the cashier to put it on my rewards card, and he said "okay, fine." But he did not ask for my name, or my phone number, or my rewards number, therefore not putting it on my rewards. After handing me my bag with my purchased item, I asked once again because I had known that he didn't put it on my rewards card, but all he said was "Yes I already did, Bye. Next!" And he completely ignored me.
young men's boxer shorts promoting marijuana
I went into American Eagle to buy jeans for my daughter since school is starting back. I am shocked and totally disappointed at seeing men's marijuana boxer shorts in your store in Augusta, GA. We live in SC, and I know that weed is not legal in either of these states. I really don't care if it's legal in any states; you are a store that sells to young teenagers whose brains have not been developed. There is enough of the world out their telling them that it's okay; it's not okay. And I'm terribly disgusted and upset with companies that care about money and not my children's health and well-being. You all should be totally ashamed of yourselves! I don't think anyone should be smoking pot, but I definitely don't think a clothing store for teens should be celebrating weed in any form or fashion for young people under the age of 24. This is revolting to me!
I'm offended and submitting a complaint that most people like this one, has obviously not researched cannabis, it's benefits, and uses.
If you're against seeing a natural medicine/plant printed on underwear, you should definitely be offended and complaining about all of the alcohol advertising/promoting everywhere in society. You know, the actually dangerous stuff, for both teenagers AND adults.
I'm proud of AEO for carrying boxers with cannabis prints; men like flowers too.
I would love to see more sweats or hoodies with leaf.
Perhaps one day, we can be sustainable and use hemp-based fabrics?
Again, thank you AEO for being more open minded than this original poster.
american eagle at the mall of louisiana
I was a customer in your store on 7/25/17 a young lady was in the store apparently trying to shoplift, so one of your workers a young man, African American approached her they had words and he followed her all the way out the store, outside to her car arguing, I just feel that was unprofessional it has security in the mall i feel he just should of handled the situation better than he did, the store was full of customers, I've been shopping with u guys awhile now and I've never seen anything like that in my life, I've usually shopped at the other location u guys had in baton rouge that was my second time at this location and it was horrible, he didn't ask did I need any help upon entrance are anything I'll just order on line from now on thanxs
return and customer service
Few month ago I placed an order online but I didn't like the items, so I decided to return them. I went to the post office and I was told that it would cost me about 50 pounds, which I considered way too much. Of course, it was my mistake not checking where the returns will be when I placed the order, I presumed that it would be an UK address, not in Nederland. I contacted customer services and I was told I can return them in a store. I live in Glasgow and we don't have any stores nearby but I wanted to go to London anyway, so I decided I will take them with me there and return them. Now, you can probably imagine my disappointment when I traveled on 18 of July from my hotel to Westfield Shopping Mall in London and the store was closed ! I wanted to cry. I had to carry those items with me, go to the Shopping Mall which was far from my hotel and see the store closed. I checked online before I went where you have stores and the opening hours, and it was absolutely nothing saying that the store is closed ! It was, and it is still, saying that it is open. Maybe you should update that, so it won't happen to other customers.
I spent about 60 pounds on these items, it is a lot of money for me, and I really wouldn't want to waist this money. It was a terrible experience for me to go there and see the shop closed, especially after I spoke with 2 of your employees who came out of the store while I was there and they just simply laughed in my face. I only asked them what I should do, maybe they can help me somehow, they didn't even say "I'm sorry for your inconvenience" as every person who works in customer service should, they just said to speak with customer relations and turn around with a smile on their face. Yes, smiling is very important if you work in retail, but not in all circumstances ! Not if you have in front of you someone who travel from Glasgow to get to your store and had a big surprise !
Now, I still have the items and what should I do with them? I know I can't return them to a different country, but can you make an exception please? I will be travelling to United States in September and I could take them with me there. Or, if you could send me a return label free of charge I could return them here in Europe somewhere.
purchase
I purchased 3 items from the Panama City store and when I got home to let my son try them on they were to big. I went to dothan on Sunday to exchange the size and the customer service rep had be swipe my credit card for $0.32 because of a sales tax difference with Florida and alabama. I thought that was pathetic! I'm not sure at this time if I would like to continue shopping there although my kids love your clothing line and I give them whatever they like. Just figured the rep. Could have waved the $0.32.
bad clothes & bad behaviour
My wife bought me a T shirt from your shop in March and when wearing it for only one time Unfortunately, some drops of tea were poured on it and when washing it the spot did not go and also the color of the product began to turn from the color Rose to white and when I went to complain in your shop they told me that the reason is not following the washing instructions which I followed it & The mistake is not on them and refused to return or change it & they And also because I do not have the receipt and that is why I will not buy anything from you again.
customer service
Me and my family went in the Michigan city light house outlet mall to shop at American Eagle, and my brothers each got a pair of khakis. They got them from the same area, the 60% section in the back. We got to the front counter and all of the employees were doing absolutely nothing, and said that they were ALL in the wrong section. It was not just one pair, but a few. She was utterly rude in her response, and they did not even go to remove all the rest of them. I would like to speak to someone about this as soon as possible. Thank you for your time.
