American Messaging Phone calls

For several months now, I’ve received silenced calls from many 916232-####’s . I’ve blocked everyone one only for another 916232-#### number to show up. I can’t call back and this is pure harassment at this point. I’m keeping all of those numbers to prove they’ve called. I don’t know what the product it is they want to sell. Or what these people want.

Desired outcome: For all numbers starting with 916-232-#### to stop

I would expect this from India, but a US company based in Texas? wow! This company "American Messaging Services" have been spoof calling me up to 6 times per day starting before 7 am EST. They hang up when i politely ask to be removed from the caller list, so I called them back to ask again and they have blocked my number. They continue to spoof call me...

American Messaging Spam calls from your customers

Yesterday, I received 2 calls on my cell phone from customers of yours:

My son also received a call from the first number above on his cell phone, too. Our phone numbers have been registered with the National Do Not Call Registry, and these unauthorized calls are violating the law. Please consider this a report of abuse of your service and deal with the offenders immediately.

Thank you.

American Messaging Excessive charges

DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY, THEY ARE SCAMMERS!
After 15 years of pager service, the last 5 of which was with American Messaging, I decided to cancel my pager account.
I called to cancel, and was charged $3.50, plus other BS charges, and a full extra month of service, of which I only got a week before they turned off my pager.
Basically, for 7 weeks of pager service, I was charged $33.19.
I contacted them to dispute the ripoff charges, and after several emails, still got nowhere. I chose to give up and just pay it because fighting them for several more hours over $15-$20 was not worth it.
They will stick you with excessive BS charges and refuse to adjust any of them. Plus, they charge you $3.50 every time you call them, no matter the reason, no exceptions. There is no mention of this charge anywhere on their website, in fact, their phone number is posted right next to their email address as a contact option.
NO WONDER THIS COMPANY IS RATED "F'' BY THE BBB!
Their customer service is the worst, it is obvious that they are only interested in squeezing every last red cent out of their customers.
Even more so, if you are a departing customer, their attitude is really "F*** You!"
I hope this company and other like it go the way of Primus Telecommunications, OUT OF BUSINESS!
They are abusing the system and their customers.
WHERE IS GOVERNMENTAL OVERSIGHT OF COMPANIES LIKE THIS?
The FCC is a joke, they are a lapdog of the telecommunications industry. Filing a complaint with them is a waste of time, I've found.
AMERICAN MESSAGING, YOU CAN KISS MY A$$!

American Messaging Billing for things that don't happen

This company tried to bill a paper fee even though I'm signed up for online billing.
Since I disputed, they claim I have received 60 pages over my limit for the month when I have not. I've had service since 2003 and always keep track of my pages and yet they claim I received over-pages.
They are not returning my e-mails and attempt to get me to call them so they can charge me an additional $3.50 call fee. I've just paid one year in advance.
Last year, their network was down for 2 weeks. They claimed my pager was broken and made me buy a new one. The old pager was fine since it was their network not working.

I have also been charged $4.95 per month for a paper billing fee after signing up TWICE for no-paper billing. On top of this, we closed the account (and had to pay $3.50 to speak to a human being to DO so) and then they sent a $4.95 paper bill fee for crediting us with FIFTY ONE CENTS...
This company is fraudulent!

American Messaging Worst Company Ever!

Let me give you a list:
1. $3.50 charge every time you call customer service, even if it is their mistake
2. They send you a bill once a year. If you want to cancel or change any services, you must do so 30 days before the yearly bill is sent to you.
3. Their customer service standard reply is "that's policy". After pressing them, they look and look for supervisors, but they are never "available".
4. An electronic payment was deposited into their account on 12/28, as verified by my bank. They disconnected my account on 1/5, processed the payment on 1/6, and charged me a reconnect fee.
5. Do not do the Pager Replacement Plan! They still charge you $22 for a deductible and shipping on a $30 reconditioned pager!
6. The Pager Replacement Plan is not prorated. Since I did not call 30 days before receiving the bill, I had to pay the whole year.
7. And most importantly, I paid the $101 yearly bill for all of these services. After they disconnected me (see above), I immediately cancelled. After all their fees, and only 45 days of "service", I am receiving a $41 refund!

Any lawyers reading this? How about a CLASS ACTION suit that will put these unethical thieves under?

American Messaging unfair billing practice

I have had a paging service with American Messaging since 1998. I had been paying a year in advance every year since then. Because in the last year I had had no (zero) pages, I decided to discontinue my service when I received the yearly bill.

1. When I asked that my service be discontinued, they told me that I needed to give a 30-day notice. When I asked to produce my original agreement where I agreed to it they could not.
2. They sent the yearly bill only after my previous year contract had expired, and my next year's service had already begun. Instead of billing me 30 (or 20) days prior to the expiration of my term, they waited until I would be forced to pay for an additional 30 days.
3. They recalculated a bill of $40.00 plus for one month of service and cancellation when the yearly service (including taxes, etc) was only $95.00
4. When I asked them to send the original contract specifying such exorbitant cancellation charges by certifiend mail, they agreed to prorate the charges for seven days.
5. They refused to prorate the other charges which included: Tower maintenance fee for a year, federal and state taxes and various other fees that were also calculated for a year. (I wonder if they will forward all these taxes to the proper authorities.)
6. I argued that if I had been paying my bills on a monthly basis, these charges would have been only 1/12 of what I was assessed. But, no dice.

I got charged about $18.00. It is not a huge amount, but the practice of late billing, and not prorating charges such as "Tower Maintenance" and taxes is outrageous and deceitful. In addition charging federal taxes for services not provided constitutes fraud.

This complaint is written to forewarn other current and future customer of American Messaging. I plan to make complaints to FCC, the Attorney General of the State, and fight it in small claims court, as a matter of principle.

They sent a bill saying that my account was past due even though they had my credit card information and they had already disconnected my 800 paging service for my business. I immediately paid the $341. via billpay from my checking account. It burns me that I have to pay $3.50 just to talke to someone so at that point I decided that I would search elsewhere for another 800 service. The next thing I know, they had billed my credit card, too.

I asked for the credit back on my credit card and they wanted "proof" of my credit card and wanted an actual statement showing that it was in my name with my address, etc. on it. This sounded very suspicious so I refused. I then called my credit card company and disputed the charges in order to get my $341 refunded (knowing I was going to be cancelling my service soon).

After several emails, they finally sent confirmation that the account was closed and that I had a $34.20 overpayment, for which I asked for a reimbursement check. They advised that it would take 8-12 weeks!

I kept emailing because in the meantime I kept getting balance owed bills. I finally was told that there is now a 0 balance. When I pressed the $34.20 refund, they said because "they" did not process the credit to my credit card, there would be a $25.00 fee. I said, so there is still $9.20 owed me even so. Then they come back and say anything less than $10.00 is considered a account closing fee!

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY! EVER! I had been a customer for approx. 10 years and this is how they treat you!

American Messaging late bill and turned it over to ERS

I had a pager with them for over ten years for my bussiness. They were billing my American Expreess card for the charges. Then I get a Collection notice from ERSolutions and ordering me to pay the late bill. I called them three times and no call back. I called American Messaging and they woud not talk to me since it was in collection. So They stop billing my credit card and then they send me to collections over $55.00. So I, m paying for it and turning off my pager and chaging to another company. Since they do not want to get thier money from my credit card.
Richard Talley
PS: I have perfect credit with a score over 800 points.

I am receiving MULTIPLE calls per day from the same place- trying to scam me- I have asked them repeatedly to stop. Called this lovely company to get help from the harassment but was told to contact the phone company. So i guess if you pay a company, you can do whatever you want under their name with no consequences
